I was impressed how the chef took care of every ingredient and maximized the taste of every single skewer! Everything tasted great with nice seasoning! Highly recommended beef tendon, pork belly, quail eggs, and steamed slice bun.

How did I not discover this skewer spot sooner? Ace King BBQ has quickly become one of my go-to spots for Chinese-style BBQ! I've tried quite a few skewer places around the Bay, and this one really stands out. Compared to Gao BBQ, the spices here lean a bit sweeter and more balanced. I still love both, but Ace King's seasoning isn't as overpowering, which honestly makes it way easier to keep eating skewer after skewer Everything we tried was solid. The wonton soup surprised me in the best way...super flavorful broth and really good wontons. The cucumber salad was light, refreshing, and not heavy on garlic. And the grilled scallops were juicy and full of flavor, definitely a highlight This is the kind of spot you bring friends to so you can order a bunch and share. Great food, great for groups, and absolutely worth checking out. Would 100% come back!

I love skewers and I love when my husband wants to take me to get skewers. Ace King BBQ has been on our minds since we noticed their bright lights and we were finally able to pay them a visit on a Friday night. First off, you're seated and given a wheel to spin automatically. It seems random, but spin it and see what you win. I won 2 chicken skin skewers and I wouldn't say it was bad but it wasn't really our kind of meat so we were happy that was free. The thing about skewer places like this place is that they use the same seasoning on all of the items you order so eventually you kind of crave for something different. But, it was still good and I thoroughly enjoyed myself. They're located in a plaza so parking is abundant and free.

I waited almost an hour for a table, which was understandable as it was a Saturday night. Once I sat down and ordered, it took them over 40 minutes to bring our food. At first I thought it was okay since they were busy, but every other table around us and those who came the same time as us and after us, got their food really quickly and all at once. Service wasn't that great, no one checked in on us or refilled our water. The food was decent but I most likely won't be coming back here.

I honestly don't get what the bad reviews are about--our visits here have all been great. The staff is friendly and efficient, ordering is quick and simple, and the food has always hit the spot especially for late night grub. It's also more affordable compared to similar places in Fremont or San Jose, which makes it an easy choice for us. On top of that, every time we've gone, the staff has asked us to spin the wheel for meal-related prizes, which adds a fun touch. Overall, a solid spot we're happy to keep coming back to.

Pro Tip: Bring cash for a discount. At time of visit, there was a wheel to spin for a chance at some small prizes, and the portions are adequate. Highly recommend coming for an evening snack or even for dinner. Staff are aware, conversive, and friendly. - - - - - - Skewers... my excitement over skewers is quite easily stated as nonexistent, but I have to admit that the ones served here were welcoming. Upon entering, the aggressively bright lights remind me of the night life in China. What was entertaining at the time was to spin the wheel for a chance to win prizes from free appetizers to 5% off your meal - we somehow won the 5% :) The staff were unexpectedly friendly and conversive; despite our limited Chinese, they were very attentive throughout the entire meal. We ordered quite a few items: chicken skin, beef, lamb, chives, A choy / vegetable, toasted buns, pork trotters, etc. As aggressive as the neon lights were their use of the same spice to season their skewers, so to no surprise was the numerous cups of water that we drank. Despite this, the staff were always around to check and refill our waters! While we were eating the pork trotters, we were supposed to get plastic gloves, but they forgot. It was a messy - but otherwise fun - experience. Cleanup was fairly straightforward, and they also have free WiFi! Paying was straightforward, too, as they provide a cash discount (which stacks with the wheel), but paying by card is also possible.

I was a little worried when I saw 3.7 but wow it was actually SO good. I just came back from China this summer so I can confidently say that this was very authentic and in some ways even BETTER. What I got: 1) green beans 2) cucumber salad 3) New Orleans house chicken - MUST GET - crispy, juicy, flavorful 4) potatoes 5) squid tentacles 6) chicken skin - MUST GET - so crispy all around 7) beef skewers - very tender and juicy 8) 5 mini corns skewers 9) 10 mini lamb skewers 10) dumplings I would skip the minis and and get the full sizes! Dumplings are standard fare and I would focus on skewers here. Service is prompt and helpful. The interior is brightly lit with futuristic neon lights and it feels like being in Shanghai. Go now and spin the 10 year anniversary wheel because those deals are AMAZING

At 8 pm there was still a small line out the door, but we already had a reservation so were able to quickly get in. The interior is reminiscent of a night club - with neon signs, and loud decor. Each table is supplied with a food warming platter and some paper bowls. Make sure to also bring a phone, because ordering happens via QR code. Once we selected the items we wanted, someone came pretty promptly to our table and gave us our receipt with our ordered items (doesn't limit you from ordering more amounts as you go). The food was served in waves - with someone coming by every few minutes with prepared skewers. The food was overall pretty salty and cumin-y, and some of the skewers were not as good as the others. Overall, we had a decent experience and it's a pretty fun concept!

I've been here a couple of times now and it's never disappointed me! The ambience in here is lively, depending on what time you go! Staff are quick and always helpful. I think the prices for everything are pretty fair and the food is great. Everything is cooked perfectly and the seasoning is so yummy. The beef and squid skewers are some of my favorites! Definitely recommend getting the fish cakes and corn as well. Great place to come with friends and get together! Please give this place a visit!

The last time I had Ace King, I rated it 3 stars, but after trying it again, I think it's much better, especially when dining in compared to takeout. This spot is perfect for late-night BBQ cravings! They offer a wide selection of flavorful skewers and shared dishes that are great for groups. My favorite skewers were the Chicken, Beef Tripe, and Pork Belly, each flavorful and tender, not chewy. The laid-back vibe and cool neon lighting really add to the experience. Service was quick, and the skewers came out promptly. TIP: get here early when the restaurant opens at 5pm because the wait can go up to 1-2 hours.

Service is a bit slow so order your first and next rounds quickly. Paying was easy and quick, we got every skewer we ordered and though our server didn't talk much she had a respectful attitude. The interior is not particularly fancy or anything but it's clean and I like how there's a box that's keeping your skewers warm. We spun for fried chicken skin and it was wayyy too fatty but at least it was free. We had the lamb and beef skewers, I got beef tendon, the bun (ask for no spice on this one for sure) and A vegetable. Everything was delicious! Vegetable was easy to eat, bun was perfectly crispy and soft, lamb skewers tasted amazing, and the beef skewers had nothing to complain about. I rarely got burnt parts or too fatty pieces on these. Heads up that this is not healthy at all, the method for cooking these skewers is submerging in oil. So I wouldn't come back but this was a good experience.

I love the ambiance of this spot, there's a lot of neon lighting which makes the place look so lively and fun. The food here is so good, it's perfectly seasoned and a tad bit spicy. My favorite thing to order is the pig feet and steamed bun slices. I need to come back here asap.

When you enter and get seated, you will be prompted to go on the url code at the table to pick your items. While I understand that this is the new way for restaurants to serve guests post-covid, the vast menu items you have to scroll through makes me long for physical menus of the past - but that's just my boomer take for the day. There were a bunch of other items like rice and noodle dishes that looked interesting to pair with the meats, but we were only craving bbq so we skipped out on the carbs. We ordered a BUNCH of skewers, from the standard beef, lamb, pork belly to chicken skin and a fried quail. All of the skewers had the same type of dried chili powder spice seasoning mix so unfortunately there wasn't too much of a diversity in flavor profile but on the flip side, it allowed us to focus more on enjoying the meat quality itself (this is where rice or noodles would definitely help cut through the richness). All of the meats were incredibly well-cooked and charred. It is on the drier side, so be aware if you are looking for a juicier, plumper cut of meat that some other restaurants have. Paired with the Chinese vinegar, soy sauce, and chili oil, they were super delectable. My personal favorites were the pork belly, chicken skin, and beef. We had some leftovers to go and the staff provided us some extra sauce to go so that's a big plus. Great food here and definitely will be back to try more of the other menu items for the full experience.

It was a bit unorganized and people walking around but not sure where to seat us. We finally got seated and had to wait a while and waved down people a few times to get out orders in. It is okay, I am here for the good, not the service after all. Right? I was disappointed. The oyster pancake was extremely fishy. The rice cake (well not really a cake but inverted sticky rice cup) was cold and where is the pork floss? The chicken rolls were decent, the best dish. I didn't try the fried intestines but was told there were okay. The stinky tofu not really stinky. I think it is because we are in the US and many restaurants stopped selling this due to complaints. I can take that but the dipping sauce was lacking with no garlic flavor. The other items were nothing to write home about. We were waiting for our stir fried seafood noodles and finally waved down someone only to find out it is out, but no one told us. So we ordered pork chop bento as we saw the next table had one and the portion was amazing. Well, someone must have eaten our order in the kitchen as ours was half of the size as what we saw from the other table. The decor was very simple and as with most Asian restaurant it was noisy. But I was there for the food so no problem. But the food didn't deliver.

The restaurant looked full, but we were seated immediately at a small table. The service was friendly, informative and quick with the food. She was right; we appreciated her help and took boxes to go. The food was great and my friend flew back to Connecticut happy. In February, my wife threw a bridal shower and decided to use Good Neighbor to provide all the food. She went to order on her lunch break and met with the owners to choose the dishes. They were helpful and informative. The day of the shower, they helped me load all the boxes into the vehicle, using a cart for transport. The important thing to note was the cost was reasonable for feeding 20 people. The food was enjoyed by all the guests and we had leftovers for dinner! You just can't beat that today. There's a ton of parking and they treat all their customers well. Only thing to note is they are closed on Tuesdays.

The price is really good for lunch, about $30ish per person AYCE. There is simple selections of meat including chicken, lamb, beef, the sort. And there are a decent selection of soups. I tried the Beef Tallow Spicy Sichuan one and It was really well done. They also have lobsters and other seafood upon request, and they were really well done too for the price. The sauce bar is good. It has your typical Soy Sauce, Zhejiang Vinegar, Garlic, etc. If they added a bit more different varieties that would be great, like Ponzu or Hong Kong Soy Sauce. Of the times I came here, I never really needed to order more from the original order. They always seem to put out just enough. The most important thing for me though, was that their ingredients were really good. In most places that I eat, I typically get a bit bogged down/bloated or I might get some brain fog after. After eating here, I did not get that feeling at all and I feel much more refreshed/satisfied than usual. I know this is a personal thing, but that means a lot to me. Of the things to improve upon, I think the menu does need to be a bit more clear. There is a feeling that only the side food bar is unlimited, but the rest are not. The breakfast menu does not seem very clear, as I cannot tell if this is a one time serving or if it is AYCE as well. The rear area with the self-serving also is a bit confusing. Perhaps some more frills to go with it would improve the overall experience. The other reviews stated that the service was not very good; this may have been the case before but the times I been there the wait staff has been very attentive so maybe they have been listening. Jack's Restaurant tends to eat up a lot of the attention, but this little nook in New Park is sorely needed as the mall is pretty dead inside. I will definitely come back just because I don't feel bloated after eating. Please keep up the good work and hopefully what I wrote was able to help you in your business. Thanks! 我一定會再來。謝謝!
