First time here, we walked in an immediately a nice young man seated us and handed us menus Customer service is friendly, waitress was attentive Menu is extensive and most items are reasonably priced but I was kinda surprised that one Sprite cost $5 I ordered Chilaquiles $19 Friend ordered Waffle Combo $18 Chilaquiles were ok Friend enjoyed his waffles eggs n bacon We had a decent dining experience No complaints or major wow factor Parking is rt behind the restaurant We came We ate We Yelped On to the next
Came in on a Monday morning for breakfast after a job walk. Got there right when they opened. Out server bought over coffee fast, we looked over the menu and ordered. Both of my co-workers got the Maria's Omelette which came with Bacon, Sausage, tomato, onions, Swiss Cheese and Country Potatoes. They both said it was good. I got my usually, Chicken Fried Steak and Eggs with Hashbrowns. It was good and the country gravy was tasty!! The service was good, she kept our coffee and water full.
It was a bit crowded today so service was a little slower than normal. The food is worth waiting for!! Machaca Con Huevos with a side of Chilaquiles Verde. Delicious and enough for two meals. Had to get a to-go box. Anna's is a small diner with that kind of a friendly vibe. I love this place! If you haven't been there, JUST GO!!
No salt, no flavor, skimpy portions and high prices. Everything you don't want in a breakfast spot. I wouldn't recommend. The coffee is watered down also. Not for me. Maybe I came on an off day but I wouldn't come back again to risk it.
Always have Great service here. The staff is always friendly and the food is great! There has never been a bad service each time I have visited this place. So many options to choose from a great variety.
Anna's which was called Lugos many years ago is a small breakfast spot in Hayward. They serve American breakfast as well as Mexican breakfast. They have fresh Salsa daily, just ask for it. Also if you prefer to have tortillas instead of bread they will accommodate you. Today I had the breaded steak and eggs with gravy, toast and hash browns. They did not disappoint, it was delicious. The waitress will always say bye with a Dios lo bendiga(God Bless you!)The employees take pride in serving and will treat you right. Get there early as the lot fills up fast, but no worries there is plenty of parking across the street.
I've driven past this place a million times and finally decided to give it a shot for breakfast. The restaurant looks small on the outside but feels much bigger on the inside. I arrived around 9am on a Saturday morning and was seated as soon as we walked in the door. I immediately noticed it was an older restaurant and definitely in need of a remodel. The food prices are reasonable but, unfortunately, the food itself was just average. The only things that really "wowed" me was the salsa that came automatically with the breakfast and the waitress was also very nice. I don't think I'll rush back but I'm glad I finally tried it.
Living in Hayward most of my life & finally made it to check this place out. It did not disappoint. Delicious authentic food, generous portion and fair price. The service was great. The staff was very insightful in answering our questions to help us decide what to order. They is plenty if parking and it's surprisingly spacious inside with a cozy, local cafe feel (decor is dated but the flavor and price of food makes up for it). Can't wait to come back and try other items.
My boyfriend and I came here late morning into the afternoon on a Sunday. It was fairly busy so there was about a 10 minute wait for us to be seated. This restaurant is very cozy and feels like home. They serve breakfast and lunch items. The food was good although did not arrive to my table hot and we waited about 25 minutes for our food. Service was on the slower side this morning. I ordered the chorizo and egg plate, the rice was especially cool but the eggs were hot, this was served with a side of 3 tortillas and medium spicy salsa which I enjoyed. Serving sizes were pretty good. My boyfriend got the sausage and gravy breakfast platter with hash browns and scrambled eggs. This was also pretty tasty with some hot sauce. This place was good at best.
Always great food and great service, the place is a little small but great vibe. You can get a good ole Mexican breakfast
My girlfriend and I stopped by here for a brunch/ late breakfast this past Saturday. We arrived around noon and the place was busy but not fully occupied. We were promptly seared and given menus. The restaurant itself is reminiscent of old school diners I've seen on the east coast. Very quaint and honey , which I appreciate a lot. For our meals, I got a black coffee and an order of chilaquiles with red sauce and my girlfriend got cheese enchiladas and an iced coffee Food came out fairly quickly and was good. The beans and rice on both dishes were perfect. I enjoyed the chilaquiles a lot - my only comment is that I wish the red sauce had a little more oomph to it. My girlfriend enjoyed her cheese enchiladas - cheese enchiladas don't lend themselves the best for structural integrity but from a flavor perspective she said it hit the spot. Service here was very nice - our waitress was friendly and consistently checked on us to make sure we were doing alright. All in all, this place provides as a solid no frills breakfast option serving classic American and Mexican breakfast dishes. I'd definitely stop by here again. 4/5
I love Anna's. I have not found a place that makes Machaca this good. It us one of my favorite thing to eat. If it's in the menu I order it and so far , Anna makes the best. This is the best spot for Mexican breakfast food. The service is excellent. The ladies are so attentive and quick. My husband loves their chilaquiles, can't get enough of them. He always comes back to it every time.

Anna's is pretty good. We came here on Mother's day which was obviously hella busy. We didnt have to wait long, so it wasnt too bad. We all ended up getting breakfast items, the service was cool, just hella busy. That's how it goes though. The inside is hella quaint, just like a mom and pop restaurants are. It was nice. Parking lot is small, but there are places where you can park and just walk. read more

Great service from the waitress but the food was bland. I ordered the bfast special, ham and egg with hash browns and toast. $15.99. I also ordered 2 bacon srips. I asked for my eggs to be soft scrambled but when I got them, they were all chopped up and dried. The ham tasted ok but no real flavor. The bacon was dried and not juicy at all. Then I heard a lady that was leaving tell the cashier that her pancakes were undercooked. She left them there but paid. The cashier only said sorry and dismissed it. If you want bfast, this place "will do" but expect for it to just be "ok", but you'd be better off cooking at home. Bill came out to be $28+ cause the fountain drink was $5.99. Thats just crazy!!! NOT coming here again. read more

Vibes: very casual, like menu written on a white board vibe. Cost: total cost for 2 people's meals was about $44 after tax and tip Pros: - parking lot is small - but thankfully we got a spot because it wasn't super busy - food was pretty good - I really liked the waffle - It's a Mexican-brunch place but it has a lot of both Mexican and "American" brunch options, so lots to choose from! Super helpful because sometimes my husband craves the Mexican breakfast when I'm not. Also the Mexican side of the menu seems very authentic - The servers were all super kind! - Seems to serve a very diverse clientele - Takes credit card despite being a very casual place Cons: - The food took longer than I anticipated (~20 min wait after we ordered) - while it's not as cheap as you would anticipate based on the vibe, you do get a large quantity of food so this kind of cancels out Overall, it wouldn't be my go-to brunch place, but the wait time was a bummer. Before leaving San Fran, we had to grab a little grub for the long drive ahead of us so we decided to stop by Anna's Family Coffee Shop. Now normally I don't eat breakfast but I knew if I didn't take this change to grab a bite to eat, I wouldn't stop until I got back home. Yea I know, I'm crazy like that lol. The staff was friendly and offered compious amounts of coffee refills. Little to no wait to get seated and order our delicious food. This is one those spots that you wouldn't know about it unless someone took you there and I'm glad I can pass on the tradition to the next person. Food was delicious and can't wait to go back when I'm back in the bay area. read more
This place has been here for ages as I used to visit with my parents for breakfast...if you drive from I-580 thru Hayward to I-880/Highway 92 you'll see this tiny, A-frame structure at the intersection of Winton/Jackson. I remember this place when they served "coffee shop" specials of breakfast, sandwiches and burgers...and fast forward 20+ years serve Mexican comfort food. I stopped by as my friend knows I love shredded beef burritos and this place offers a Burrito Famoso ("famous burrito")..called in my order and ready for pickup in 10mins Burrito had some flavorful shredded beef with slices of avocado, seasoned rice, sliced raw onions (hmm that's different but then I like onions) and some chopped tomatoes covered with a red sauce. Delicious! initially, I was taken aback as I found a random corn and then I had to slice open the whole burrito to do a close inspection! Whew...okay some peas and carrots that I'm hoping they add to their rice...as it was a total of maybe 4 pieces of veggies. *** 3.5 - 4 stars *** Friendly, welcoming service and a delicious burrito but a suggestion to the restaurant: if you add mixed vegetables to your rice, add a little more so it doesn't seem random/questionable. I wouldn't go out of my way to stop here as it's simple comfort food but definitely an option when In the area. Available for takeout with a newly built patio area for dine in. read more
We never really explore Hayward's little gems and finally had a chance to dine in after restrictions were lifted from shelter-in-place. Yay! Anna's is definitely a mom and pops and has that old diner vibe. We dined inside and there were about four other parties there. The service was good and they kept coming back to refill the coffee, which was nice. We got the breakfast burrito with chorizo and the Machaca con Huevos. They were not extremely hearty. The prices are OK, around $35 for breakfast for 2z The burrito had a little bit too much potatoes and could've used a different filler like rice or something. The machaca was good, but light on the meat. Other than that, it was a good experience. read more

I have gone to a lot of breakfast places never have they charge me for a side of gravy when requested specially if I am a repetitive customer. I brought it to the server attention and instead of waiving it she said that the owners even charge for a side of ranch dressing. Very disappointed I will not be coming back! read more

It's so difficult to find a decent place that cooks delicious and authentic Mexican food in the Bay Area, but Anna's family coffee shop comes to the rescue!!! I love the chilaquiles because they don't use pre-made chips and instead fry the tortillas fresh when ordered as they should be according to the recipe. I would rate the red chilaquiles at a spicy level at a 3 out of 12. The Mexican fried rice wasn't good as it was kind of soggy, but the beans made up for it as the lard made them so creamy and delicious. Today I also tried the French toast and it was so good. Topped with powdered sugar they're also aesthetically pleasing. It was neither too soft nor too crunchy. Definitely ordering it again when I have a sweet tooth. I highly recommend this family restaurant when in need for Mexican American food in the east Bay. read more
