Always have Great service here. The staff is always friendly and the food is great! There has never been a bad service each time I have visited this place. So many options to choose from a great variety.

I've driven past this place a million times and finally decided to give it a shot for breakfast. The restaurant looks small on the outside but feels much bigger on the inside. I arrived around 9am on a Saturday morning and was seated as soon as we walked in the door. I immediately noticed it was an older restaurant and definitely in need of a remodel. The food prices are reasonable but, unfortunately, the food itself was just average. The only things that really "wowed" me was the salsa that came automatically with the breakfast and the waitress was also very nice. I don't think I'll rush back but I'm glad I finally tried it.

Living in Hayward most of my life & finally made it to check this place out. It did not disappoint. Delicious authentic food, generous portion and fair price. The service was great. The staff was very insightful in answering our questions to help us decide what to order. They is plenty if parking and it's surprisingly spacious inside with a cozy, local cafe feel (decor is dated but the flavor and price of food makes up for it). Can't wait to come back and try other items.

Anna's which was called Lugos many years ago is a small breakfast spot in Hayward. They serve American breakfast as well as Mexican breakfast. They have fresh Salsa daily, just ask for it. Also if you prefer to have tortillas instead of bread they will accommodate you. Today I had the breaded steak and eggs with gravy, toast and hash browns. They did not disappoint, it was delicious. The waitress will always say bye with a Dios lo bendiga(God Bless you!)The employees take pride in serving and will treat you right. Get there early as the lot fills up fast, but no worries there is plenty of parking across the street.

My boyfriend and I came here late morning into the afternoon on a Sunday. It was fairly busy so there was about a 10 minute wait for us to be seated. This restaurant is very cozy and feels like home. They serve breakfast and lunch items. The food was good although did not arrive to my table hot and we waited about 25 minutes for our food. Service was on the slower side this morning. I ordered the chorizo and egg plate, the rice was especially cool but the eggs were hot, this was served with a side of 3 tortillas and medium spicy salsa which I enjoyed. Serving sizes were pretty good. My boyfriend got the sausage and gravy breakfast platter with hash browns and scrambled eggs. This was also pretty tasty with some hot sauce. This place was good at best.

I love Anna's. I have not found a place that makes Machaca this good. It us one of my favorite thing to eat. If it's in the menu I order it and so far , Anna makes the best. This is the best spot for Mexican breakfast food. The service is excellent. The ladies are so attentive and quick. My husband loves their chilaquiles, can't get enough of them. He always comes back to it every time.

My girlfriend and I stopped by here for a brunch/ late breakfast this past Saturday. We arrived around noon and the place was busy but not fully occupied. We were promptly seared and given menus. The restaurant itself is reminiscent of old school diners I've seen on the east coast. Very quaint and honey , which I appreciate a lot. For our meals, I got a black coffee and an order of chilaquiles with red sauce and my girlfriend got cheese enchiladas and an iced coffee Food came out fairly quickly and was good. The beans and rice on both dishes were perfect. I enjoyed the chilaquiles a lot - my only comment is that I wish the red sauce had a little more oomph to it. My girlfriend enjoyed her cheese enchiladas - cheese enchiladas don't lend themselves the best for structural integrity but from a flavor perspective she said it hit the spot. Service here was very nice - our waitress was friendly and consistently checked on us to make sure we were doing alright. All in all, this place provides as a solid no frills breakfast option serving classic American and Mexican breakfast dishes. I'd definitely stop by here again. 4/5

Early Sunday morning, I was out running errands with the o'hana, and we had time to grab breakfast. My cousin, AM, visits Anna's Coffee Shop/Restaurant every so often, that's how we ended up here . Restaurant front - https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=O6EBodP3Fgu_n67efSKnBQ&start=24&select=TCUcacgXNo5JqmGdg_Q9Aw This old-school coffee shop sits on a small corner lot off Jackson--blink, and you might miss it. The small parking lot shares space with a neighboring business. As I browsed the menu, I was excited to see linguica on offer. As usual, I had a tough time deciding what to order... Decisions, decisions, decisions. I thought about getting the linguica but ended up choosing the Waffle Combo with sausage and over-easy eggs ($16). It had been a while since I had waffles. This was a good, basic, simple breakfast--cooked perfectly. Photo - https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=O6EBodP3Fgu_n67efSKnBQ&start=24&select=2Rjui6xcQsJml-wxC6l4Ug My niece, JP, ordered the Chile Verde with refried beans and rice ($17). She didn't say much--she was too busy enjoying her meal. (Good portions; she took half of it to-go.) It's a place to get out of the cold and hot, to sit down, to rest and to eat. The daily open hours are not too much. The food is edible.

I wish I wrote down what I ordered but luckily, I did take a picture. They also had a pastrami one that I wanted to try but they were sold out. Everything was delicious and buttery, as a croissant should be. Nothing was too sweet nor too salty however, I would recommend pairing it with either a nice cup of coffee or tea. My favorite so far was the cheese and mushroom and the kuign-amann but honestly, you cant go wrong with anything. Price wise, they started around $6 each which, for the quality you are getting, I believe is fairly priced. The staff were all very lively and super friendly. Also, the smell of freshly made croissants is absolutely intoxicating. I will definitely return to try the other items as well as their coffee.

Just an excellent place to be!…read more A friend had heard rave reviews about their authentic Argentinian empanadas and we were so happy to come and try it out on a Saturday afternoon. Parking was busy (the lot is shared with Trader Joe's) but we managed to find a spot and head into the busy but not packed cafe. There is a large assortment of empanadas, from meat options like chorizo and chicken, to vegetarian like corn and onion, to sweet options too like apples. The menu also boasts lots of great drinks including mate tea! Lucky us, the empanadas we ordered weren't in stock so we had to wait ~10 for freshly baked ones. They came out buttery and piping hot, even with little hand-stamped letters on them so you know what you're eating, and it was so delicious. Most are about $5.50 each. Add oregano chimichurri for a bit extra if you want or pair with a tea, but these empanadas really hit the snacky spot. Lots of wooden tables with fresh flowers make Pampas a great space to chat with friends or to sit and do some work. The most standout feature was the friendly and efficient staff who seem to build connections with everybody who walks in the door. Worth a drive to Castro Valley! Especially if you bring cash for a 10% discount off a dozen :)
