My new favorite breakfast/brunch place in the area! The pancakes here are super fluffy and buttery. Portion is generous and food comes out fast. I also tried the steak and the pork chop, both are delicious. You can't go wrong with the Mexican hot chocolate either.

Sunday afternoon busy but service is always quick friendly and the people come and go very smoothly. Never disappoints. Food is perfect every time. Never leave here hungry that's for sure. Diner vibe and my kids especially like all the toys and trinkets for sale.

I was in the neighborhood and it was brunch time on a Sunday. I have been here a couple of times, they serve a nice breakfast, American and Mexican choices. Walking in, it was packed but a few tables in the back which I have never been. The wait people were busy but friendly. They took my order quickly and the food was delivered relatively quickly too, not rushed. Someone stopped occasionally to check in. On this occasion, I ordered the huevos rancheros. It was a nice portion with rice and beans, whatever. the egg was cooked just so for me to break and have it run on tortilla and rest of my egg. Together with the rice and beans, a good balance. Pay at the front counter by informing the cashier the table number. There was a back up at the counter as take out pick up and paying diners ahead of me trying to get out. Otherwise, an eventual and pleasant meal.

Can not remember why I had went to Hayward. My bf and I ended up looking for a spot they made egg rolls because we needed it for an event and saw this cafe and we decided to go and try it it's a family owned business, the two waiters young ladies were amazing and sweet. We ordered huevos rancheros and a Denver omelet it was so yummy and very fulfilling.the place gets super packed.Would recommend for sure.

After years of living in Hayward, I'm surprised this was my first time making it to Rosy's Cafe! If you're looking for a no-frills, hearty breakfast, this is your spot. My husband and I stopped by on a weekend late morning because we wanted a filling breakfast and we definitely got it here. There was a lot of hustle and bustle when we arrived, and even though the restaurant was practically full, we were seated immediately. Service is so quick here so it makes sense that even folks who dined in were in and out. We ordered the country fried steak & eggs along with the chorizo & eggs and a strawberry agua fresca. Both dishes were really good and the portions were huge. If I had to choose between the two, I'd go with the chorizo & eggs again because it was really flavorful. The agua fresca was refreshing, but wish it had more strawberry flavor. It tasted a little watered down. Prices were pretty reasonable all around. Fun little add on: they also sell some toys by the front. You can get action figures and even lafufus. Open for dinner starting 7/31!

The breakfast here is great! I visited for the first time this week and got the large hot hobo and it was spicy and the house salsa they have on hand is so good! If you're looking for a small diner with great food this is a place to check out

First time here, walked in and we were seated immediately. We came on a Sunday and there was lots of customers inside. Restaurant was very busy. There is a lot of seating available, customer service is friendly and fast. The volume inside the restaurant is LOUD as employees holler at each other from across the restaurant and its like an organized chaos going on type of vibe/ambiance (due to the employees and how they communicate) Food is good, very flavorful and authentic I enjoyed my meal and so did my son Prices are reasonable Parking is easy to come by and parking lot is safe No alcohol served (no mimosas )

First time here, it was poppin! Full restaurant , but we got seated right away. Everyone looked to be enjoying their food and talking. Our server greeted us right away and was very kind. 10/10 food! I would recommend this place for good breakfast freshly made.

Horrible service, which affects the food delivery. I've directed my office team to avoid this place at all cost.

AMERICAN VS. MEXICAN ITEMS I follow some "Collections" on Yelp. Rosy's Cafe is listed on the "Collection" of worthy brunches in the East Bay. I wanted to check this place out. The first time I came here was on MLK Day for breakfast. As I walked inside Rosy's Cafe its decor felt as I was eating at a diner in the 1970s and early 1980s. For brunch restaurants the first thing I order is steak and eggs. The reason is I love steak and if I can have it for breakfast I'll order it. What was intriguing at Rosy's Cafe about the steak item for breakfast it was ribeye. Therefore the "stakes" were high. I am not a fan of French toast as I find it heavy for my taste. However the churros-style French toast was intriguing so I decided to order it. For beverage I ordered Mexican chocolate. I set low expectations for the churros-style French toast. After the first bite I enjoyed the churros-style French toast as the cinnamon added sweetness texture. Also the churros-style French toast doesn't taste too eggy. When I received my ribeye steak and eggs I feared that the ribeye was too caramelized. Since I ordered my steak medium rare I felt the steak would be medium. I was wrong the steak was medium well in my opinion. The ribeye was a downer. Since I ordered an American item for breakfast I want to try a Mexican item. I came back to Rosy's Cafe on the first Sunday of February. On the Mexican breakfast items I was deliberating between the chile verde omelette or carnitas omelette. Then I went back and forth between the chile verde omelette or the chicken fajita omelette. I asked my server out of the two omelettes if she would recommend the chile verdi or chicken fajita. She suggested the chile verde omelette as she stated that's the item she orders the most when she eats at Rosy's Cafe. I ordered the chile verde omelette. Since I enjoyed the churros-style French toast I ordered that item again. I was little worried if the chile verde omelette would be too heavy. Most of the time when I order chile verde it for enchiladas. The chile verde omelette was tasty but not heavy. I enjoyed eating the chile verde omelette with the corn tortillas. Sometimes corn tortillas can be tough and rough, but the corn tortillas I ate at Rosy's Cafe was warm and soft. As last time I enjoyed the churros-style French Toast. I would have rated Rosy's Cafe higher, but I can't get over the ribeye I ate the first time I ate here. Even though the steak wasn't tough it also wasn't medium rare as I requested. If I come back to Rosy's Cafe multiple times and enjoyed other items that ribeye I ate still lingers with me.

This place is a go to for my friends and family. I've been here multiple times and every time is hella good. This last time I came here with friends who are from out of town and they wanted a good breakfast. We got there and were seated hella quick and the service from the wait staff was good. The store is small, but they make it work. The food is good and I like how cozy it is because it initiates conversation. I like how you can get a traditional breakfast and a mexican one.

Integrated into downtown Hayward just a block from the theater and other eateries and drink spots, Khao Hom has made a strong impression in the local community drawing a good following for weekend brunch as well as weekday lunch. With street parking right in front as well as sharing free public parking in the lot behind the restaurant, once you've slogged through traffic to get to this area, you'll be able to easily park and venture in for your food experience. As you enter, you'll likely need to wait for one of their staff members to seat you in one of their two dining spaces. The rooms are well lit and enhance the ambiance of your meal (and photos) with natural lighting. When seated, you'll get their food and drinks menu in addition to finding their dessert menu at the table. As standard, each table gets a carafe of water for you to serve yourselves. Their menu is quite extensive in representing popular Thai flavors with a bit of flare. You'll find curries, soups, noodles and chef specialties in their own sections of the menu. They also have some alcohol infused drinks for those looking for a full brunch experience. As a novice to some Thai dishes, I did have to ask the staff to explain a bit about certain dishes, but there were a few that caught my eye and never let go. Thai tea - flavorful and bold; rich but not too sweet Matcha latte - rich matcha flavor and creamy; best sipped and can be packed in a to-go cup if you don't finish Tom yum crab omelet - beautifully crafted omurice-esque dish where you'll find white rice encased in an egg omelet topped with succulent pieces of crab meat and smothered in tom yum soup. This dish is not only a pleasure to look at but the taste and textures in each bite will have you salivating for more until the dish completely disappears. This unique take is a must get for first timers! Roti gai tod - crispy fried yet succulent chicken served with a small serving of creamy yellow curry, white rice, and a roti alongside their delicious chili sauce. Fantastic balance of textures and flavors will have your tongue dancing from the spices. Tom kha soup - a bowl of comfort with a whole lot of shredded chicken, red onions, and mushrooms with a few big quarters of fresh tomatoes. It's not as creamy as I would like but the flavor is there with its abundance in lemongrass. The portion is large as one order can easily split into two bowls. Fried ice cream - a meal topper and sweet indulgence for those looking to try something new and rarely found elsewhere. This giant meteorite of a breaded and fried ball of vanilla ice cream is topped with chocolate fudge, powdered sugar, a generous helping of whipped cream and plenty of fruit (strawberries, blueberries, kiwi, grapes, and cantaloupe). Definitely shareable and a surprising star of their dessert menu - they could definitely do more to advertise this! The staff were super friendly and quick to take dirty dishes out of the way. They kept the place clean, served the food promptly and treated all of their customers with respect and smiles. Top notch crew from the front of the house to the back. Furthermore, should you need the restrooms, they do have two gender neutral rooms that were decently maintained. Overall, Khao Hom is not your everyday Thai restaurant nor is it your run of the mill brunch spot - this is a unique experience with food created out of passion to merge these together. The result is an aesthetically pleasing yet hunger extinguishing meal that will have you discovering new flavors and craving for more. With its proximity to the city center, it's a great a spot to plan out a lunch or brunch before a nice stroll around or a movie. Thai food has never looked and tasted so good!

Speaking of that, it was very loud here since I came here during the weekend, but it doesn't really bother me as much. I mostly came here for the Ube Pancakes since I have them before and I think that they're famous for having them. Honestly, it's really good and tasted like how I had them back then. The serving was quite huge to the point that I'm almost full. It's expensive though since it's $22. That's quite unusual for just pancakes alone but that probably because of the ingredients they used. The Vietnamese iced coffee was sweet at first but watered down overtime, but that's natural. At least that didn't happen when my drink arrived. I really enjoy my time here and I'm thinking of returning perhaps on weekdays if I can. It's just too hectic here, but it's not to the point that I would leave since I drove about 25 minutes from Fremont for this restaurant. There is a large assortment of empanadas, from meat options like chorizo and chicken, to vegetarian like corn and onion, to sweet options too like apples. The menu also boasts lots of great drinks including mate tea! Lucky us, the empanadas we ordered weren't in stock so we had to wait ~10 for freshly baked ones. They came out buttery and piping hot, even with little hand-stamped letters on them so you know what you're eating, and it was so delicious. Most are about $5.50 each. Add oregano chimichurri for a bit extra if you want or pair with a tea, but these empanadas really hit the snacky spot.
