Burger Road had been hiding in my bookmarks for many years! I could't remember why I had them bookmarked, until I arrived at the restaurant. After finishing up an appointment nearby I decided to pick up some breakfast burritos for the family. When I arrived I was greeted immediately with friendly service. There was no one dining in. Before ordering a couple of breakfast burritos I had to glance for a specific burrito that I was craving. I was looking for a bulgogi burrito. That's when it hit me why I had Burger Road bookmarked all those years! I could have sworn I saw photos of the burrito on Yelp, but it wasn't on the menu. I had to ask the gentleman taking my order if they have bulgogi burritos. He informed me he could have it made. I included that burrito on top of one breakfast burrito with kielbasa and one with just egg & potatoes to go. My order didn't take more than ten minutes to prepare. Once I was home I worked on the bulgogi burrito first and saved the breakfast burrito with kielbasa for later. The bulgogi burrito was saucy and full of flavor! It was packed with bulgogi, carrots, onions, & rice. This burrito was nostalgic for me. There was a restaurant that had Korean & Mexican fusion items on Mission Blvd. The place was called Kono Grill (Hayward locals remember this place?) but closed down years ago. The burritos tasted exactly the same to me but the difference from Kono's burrito was it was drier and had a fried egg in it. Later in the day I had my breakfast burrito and enjoyed it was well. Couldn't go wrong with the eggs, potatoes, and kielbasa. My family member enjoyed their egg & potato breakfast burrito. I'm glad to have passed by Burger Road for breakfast. I most definitely back for that bulgogi burrito! No other spot in Hayward or East Bay serves it. To my knowledge at least. read more

This is the only place to eat in the immediate area besides Jack in the Box, then there is Southland Mall area. The place is very clean and is run by a family. Top notch customers service , they greet you , don't ever rush you and explain the menu very well. They've even have to go snacks and beverages . Lots of the cliente is construction workers, nearby worker etc. Versatile from burritos to burgers to French toast. I overheard him say no tacos which is not that big of a deal. I ordered a strawberry shake and it was disappointing for $4.99. Place is perfect time killer and belly stuffer if your hungry and getting work on your vehicle nearby. Came here on a late Saturday morning for the breakfast burrito. I was very happy and satisfied with the big burrito! It's definitely a divey spot and seems like it's more of a pick-up and go spot but we ordered a coffee, bought a slice of the cheesecake they had and ate our burrito there. The people were very friendly and even made us a fresh batch of coffee for us to have. The space was clean and spacious for eating on-site. It's an order at the counter and find your seat type of place. The food was tasty, even the non-fancy cheesecake that they had. It was perfect. I came here on a random weekday lunch and the place had good amount of customers already. There were a good amount of tables and chairs for folks dining in. I got the chorizo breakfast burrito + 1/2lb burger on a french roll meal. Total came out to $28. I got some coffee to go with the meal which tasted just fine for a diner. The chorizo burrito was my fav - packed and loaded with delicious potatoes, cheese, and chorizo! I grabbed hot sauce from a leftover meal the other day and paired it with it. The burger was OK, nothing to rave about. The french roll was interesting combo with the burger patty. Next time I'd try the regular 1/4 burger on buns. The fries tasted standard frozen fries. I was welcome into the store by Mark behind the counter a very friendly gentleman. He said they're known for their breakfast burritos, but it was the afternoon so I was looking for a cheeseburger. I ended up getting the double cheeseburger half pound with bacon. It was cooked to perfection. Super delicious came with fries. I also bought a soda everything for under $20. Pros: - Very fun menu with lots of options, despite the confusing marketing for a place called Burger Road with a hamburger logo. Mix of breakfast food, Korean comfort food, with a sprinkle of Mexican options like quesadillas. Front of house is a Korean lady who could be literally my friend's grandma. - LOTS OF QUANTITY - I can see why blue collar workers love coming here to pick up lunch. My Kimchi fried rice was HUGE and the breakfast burritos are super filling too. I ended up taking a fourth of my meal home to eat again later. I felt like it was worth my $13 for the fried rice. - Pretty delicious! I liked that the kimchi fried rice was a tad spicier than places like Leisure cafe, felt really authentic. My husband says his breakfast burrito was the perfect ratio of ingredients and the potatoes weren't dry. - Easy parking lot Cons: - no free water available, which is why I had to buy a bottle of green tea to drink with my fried rice. I would recommend bringing your own water here next time to save some money. - No toilet paper in the bathroom. Was disappointing since I was a paying customer who wanted to poop. Two words - Breakfast Burrito - period! My daughter introduced me to this spot after we went for a very loooooooong walk one day. I am a sucker for a good breakfast burrito and they have it. I'm a little sad that they are closed on Sundays because there have been plenty of times I've had a craving on a Sunday but I won't hold it against them. =) We've tried calling in advance for pick up orders but sometimes they are so busy with calls and orders and that's not an option. Either way, the drive is worth it for the size, taste and satisfaction I get after eating one of these with bacon, cheese and avocado (of course). Recently, after a visit to a nearby business, we stopped in on a rainy afternoon. The woman at the front counter greeted us warmly . There are American, Korean, and Mexican menu options. Burger Road is a hidden gem. It's a small restaurant hidden in a warehouse/industrial area of Hayward. If you're not working or living around here, you'd prob never know it's there. (Unless you're searching on Yelp, of course) They've got quite an extensive menu offering all sorts of breakfast dishes to Korean lunch plates, burgers, and burritos. Most of the time when I've seen restaurants that offer so many cuisines, I'm hesitant. I can't speak on their lunch plates (yet) so this'll just be about their breakfast burritos. ...which are amazing! For $9, you get a STUFFED burrito that could probably even get you a little left over for lunch. It comes with eggs, potatoes, and your meat of choice. I went with bacon and it added the perfect crispy crunch and of course it tasted great (bacon, duh). I also added the hot sauce inside which wasn't too hot but added a nice kick. You can order ahead for pick up. I just stopped in and ordered and didn't have to wait too long - maybe 10 minutes. Super easy and quick service! After having a "not-so-good" breakfast burrito (in Castro Valley) that was all tortilla and potato, a friend told me about a place close to my mom's....who knew? Place serves a variety of breakfast and lunch items like their popular breakfast burrito. Um yes, I don't mind breakfast for lunch....and noticed plenty of other items to try for next time: breakfast specials of pancakes, French toast, sandwiches,....Mexican plates and Korean food?! I ordered a chorizo with egg and potatoes $8, with the addition of cheddar cheese ($0.60) and avocado ($1.50)....Whoa! $10.35. Apparently I didn't have the updated menu but when I received my order it was pretty hefty, 10" burrito where you can see and taste the meat. I went today to Burger Road to get a breakfast burrito on my break from work. As I bit into the burrito the first few bites I noticed huge chunks of burnt pieces no big deal just assumed it was the initial bites but as I got into my third bite I continued to come across hard pieces of burnt potatoes or cheese I am assuming. At that point I was unable to eat it. I returned to the restaurant to asked for a refund as not even half of the burrito was consumed the man at the register offered to remake it but at this point my lunch was almost over. He asked for my receipt when I went to my car to get it I come back in and his mother who works there begins shouting at me and telling me that is how the burrito is ( I had had their burritos before never had this issue) I explained just that to her I have been there before she continues to shout at me. I will never go back to this place again as a customer this is not how I expected to be treated. I was rushing and didn't get a picture and the refund took so long I was late coming back to work. I've been in Hayward this week for an 8am training class and 4sho needed something to eat before class since I have to leave Tracy at 4am to avoid the grueling traffic if I leave any later. Thankfully Burger Road opens at 6:30am. Both days I ordered a BLT with cheese & egg and a ginger beer, it really hit the spot before class. Burger Road has some good items on the menu and I will definitely be back to try a burger of course. Honestly the inside can use a lil TLC and it kinda looks like that's what's going but hard to tell. My bf LOVES the breakfast burritos here , I do too, but I really love their Korean dishes more. Their short rib dish is sooo flavorful and so authentic ! It seems to be a korean/American burger joint but they focus on the American maybe.. too little. This singular burger meal with fries cost $13, of 2 patties with cheese - for this price honestly I think i'd just go to 5guys. The taste of the burger itself was decently 4/5, but the fries were pretty plain (which might be a plus for others). It seemed like the other ethnic options would just treat you better; so if you're looking for a decent burger, maybe give this place a pass. I was at work and craving a Turkey burger! I found Burger Road on Yelp and wow! It was delicious. Turkey patty with lettuce, tomato, onion and Mayo on a bun.
