Wow the food tastes like home cooked and it's run by a family and the mum Ms Gloríe is the lady behind the scene. We met the son and it's a cool place,They have karaoke night Fridays and Saturdays and Taco Tuesdays and a taco is 1.50. Come try this place out,you won't be disappointed

Birria Tacos

The food came out fresh, hot and so flavorful. Service was wonderful too. Glori's is a small restaurant. Plenty of parking. It's a gem. Please go.

It's not often I drive down Mission, but Glori gives me a reason to now. Their tacos have been impressive; I've dined in for two Taco Tuesday's ($1.50 street tacos) now and each bite is just as good as the one before. Their burrito is hefty and can easily be split into two meals. The place is right next to The Sister House, so come by and get sone delicious food

This place is newer and I have wanted to try it for a while, I enjoyed it! I got the nopales and eggs, and my sibling got huevos rancheros. It could've used a little more salt on my scrambled eggs and the eggs were really over cooked on the rancheros plate, but other than that it was delicious!! My son and the owners son really got along and he joined us to play with my son at our table too cute!!

Good service. Good food, so flavorful. Everything is made from scrach. Even the sour cream is made from scratch. Enjoyed the glori's experience this morning.

Al Pastor super burrito bowl on a plate with added lettuce.

I got an Al pastor super burrito bowl and everything tasted amazing. The meat was flavorful and crispy, something I don't get as often as I want to in my Al pastor. My father got Camaron burrito which was also great. We got complimentary chips on the side which tasted freshly fried and were some of the best chips due to the freshness and deep fry.

Got the asada nachos, could've used more meat and wasn't fan of the melted cheese. The quesabirria looks good tho and the fried fish.

Food was amazing, price is reasonable, service was great. The touch of music playing in the background creates a good ambiance.

This rating is specifically for the chicken tamal - I finally got to get one from them because I…read moretend to go to Grocery Outlet to do my shopping on Sundays so this place is always closed ahah. Since I was in the area today, I finally went in to get my chicken tamal (if you're not familiar with Salvadorean tamales, they're sooo worth a try! They're wrapped in banana leaves instead of corn and are much more soft and moist). These were $6/tamal. Kinda pricey but they are a bit bigger than most-however the size is moreso due to the amount of masa to meat ratio, which I don't mind since I do love the masa parts. I do wish their chicken was either more shredded or more flavored since some bites of chicken were on the dry side. The bites that wern't so dry were delicious though! Looking at their pics/reviews now it seems other people have tried other kinds of tamales, but I only saw one option on the menu so that's what I went with. All in all, not my absolute favorite tamales, but it hits the spot.

I have curious about pupusa after watching several YouTube video reviews. Although I have seen…read morerestaurants offering them for as so long as I can remember I must admit I have never had any. So today was my day for an adventure. I found this El Salvador Restaurant nearby has decent review albeit not many though. It looked clean and tidy. Walking in around 11:45 am to an empty dimly lit dining, a lady behind the counter greeted me and told to sit anywhere. It was warm with no air circulating as the ceiling fans weren't turned on. I mentioned to her it was my first time having pupusa so she patiently pointed several options. Complimentary chips and salsa were served. I thought the salad needed something to give it kick. I chose lunch #1 that consists of 2 pupusa, plantains, red bed beans and sour cream; separately ordered a lemonade. The drink came short afterwards. It was lemony slightly sweet. My plate came hot as it should and the accompanying coleslaw and red sauce were brought over as well. Pickled coleslaw and red sauce were added to the top of my first pupusa which as the cheese a beans. It was too hot to hold by hand so I ate it with knife and fork. It was definitely something g I never had before. A little hot sauce helped. I wish the doughy covering wasn't so overwhelming as I would appreciate the filling much more. It was the same experience for the second pupusa that was the pork, cheese and beans. Finally the fried plantains, I haven't grown to appreciate at this point and this example didn't improve my opinion, I'm hate to admit. I wasn't sure how to apply the red beans and sour cream so I dipped the plantains in them. I guess I need some guidance. On this initial visit, overall, it definitely was a good experience, service was pleasant, food was good though not sure if it was a great representation of this particular good. But I felt it was a good experience and I'm quite open to trying other dishes here.

I enjoyed a veggie taco at this supermarket's grocery market. I enjoyed the beans, guacamole,…read morecheese, and rice in the taco. The lime on the side made the taco taste more delicious. The taco only cost $1.49 which is reasonable. On the cafe's menu, it said the taco cost $2.49, so I unexpectedly saved money. Maybe I saved money because the taco was veggie?! The service was a little slow, but still decent. The ambiance is comfortable. They played Mexican music in the background. I recommend this place if you want to get tacos with reasonable service!

Grading slightly on a curve as I am comparing it to the Oakland location…read more Quality/Quantity - So glad I discovered this location. As the Oakland location was getting less and less safe. The Oakland location is not just unsafe, but driving there consists of VERY aggressive drivers. Okay, now to this location. Easy in and out. Well stocked, a much better location than the one I frequent in Oakland. I now have to have the app and they are also using digital coupons similar to many of their competitors. But this brand so far has had 100% of the free weekly item in stock; wow and thank you. This will be the first time I try corn and flour tortillas in one?!?! Atmosphere - Huge, clean, and organized location. Has all the departments - Bakery, deli, tortilla, meat, seafood, cheese, and fresh ripe produce. Limited mall parking due to the many high volume businesses. Need a code for the restroom - 2010. Amazon lockers, coin collection machine, etc. The best part is that this location is in between the Business and Regular Costco! So now I do NOT have to go to the San Leandro Costco anymore, which has also gone downhill. SL Costco's review to follow... Service - N/A, they even have self-service check-outs at this location! But I chose to go through a regular full service check stand and had no problems. Price - Inexpensive! Thank you. Owner Comment - Congrats on your success since 1981 (1998 in NV and AZ) with your 56 locations. Just realized that KKR bought you in 2017. We have been shopping this brand since it was Mi Pueblo Supermarket. In 2016, KKR bought Mi Pueblo and Cardenas and in 2017; they merged the supermarkets together, getting rid of the Mi Pueblo brand. Actually, the founder of Mi Pueblo, Juvenal Chavez, has a very inspiring story about how he started and finished with the $300M company. Sadly, he then went into bankruptcy in 2013.

Best Carnitas and Buche in the Bay Area. This place gets packed so make sure you place your order…read moreover the phone. It's not a sit down to eat place, it's more of an order to go place.

Crazy popular place given the neighborhood it is in. Talk about a perfect concept in the perfect…read morespot, fits like a glove. In this tiny shopping strip in a very Hispanic hood in Hayward. I once came on a weekend early afternoon and had to turn around and look for an alternative...line out the friggin' door. Came on a weekday late in the lunch hours (2ish pm) and was able to get in the door. But within minutes of receiving my order, a line of over 10 peeps roll in and now the place seemed busy. This place has serious pull. All they do is carnitas, but in true authentic Mexican fashion. Carnitas is straight pork cooked in its own lard. It is seasoned simply (probably just salt) and cooked low and slow until the meat gets incredibly tender. Pretty much 'confit' method which is used in other cultures as well. But in true authentic fashion, in those pots of lard bubbling away, they are just not cooking pork meat. They are also cooking pork skin, one crispy (chicharone), one soft and chewy (cueritos), and also Buche which is the pork stomach lining, so it has a dense and meaty texture, but when confit'd is pretty darn good. You can get these carnitas in taco form, which seemed very popular during that lunch hour. Or you can get it as a combo plate with rice and beans. Or you can get any of those pork items by the pound, which I'm sure the majority of peeps do on weekends to take back home to feed a small army. Combo #3 ($16ish/4*) This is their smallest combo that can feed 1-2. Has about a pound of protein of choice, a small scoop of rice and refried beans, a decent size of salsa and 6 corn tortillas. I ate half there and brought the rest home for a light dinner later. Also comes with a fountain drink, so really nice value given how many meals I was able to get from it. Now when you order a combo, you pick what types of protein you want. You can get just the pork meat, which seems like mostly pork leg meat given the thick fibers in the chunks. It is quite tender and pulls with ease. The seasoning is perfect but is made even better with their thin and slightly spicy red salsa. I tried the 'mixta' option which was pork meat mixed with tender pork skin and even a bit of the buche. Definitely more exotic but very satisfying from my perspective. I think next time I'm going to order by the pound. Get a pound of meat, a half pound of the soft and gelatinous skin and a half pound of crispy chicharones. That way I can make my own tacos at home with all 3 components topped with their salsa and my own chopped onions and cilantro. Damn I'm drooling just thinking about it. Vamos cabron.

And so one Saturday morning we finally went to have our breakfast date lol at 8 in the morning! Im not really a breakfast person on a daily basis but we consider this our "date" and we only get to do it once in awhile anyways so why not!? Lol l actually love that since we got in around 8 no long line to wait so we got seated right away even though there were a lot of people dining already. Coz everytime I pass around here when I go shopping in the area, there's always a long line around lunch time. We ordered the eggs Benedict combo meal($27 for two) where you can split what type of eggs Benedict you want. I got the classic and husband got the chicken katsu. Weird right? Lol well they have like 9-10 different types of them so you pick your own. It was a big serving so it was just perfect for the two of us. Mine was just perfect the Canadian ham and egg plus the hollaindaise sauce was so perfect and creamy and then with my coffee oh it just hits the spot yummm . Service was fast and staff were very attentive. I love their decor too and looks really clean. We left happy and satisfied. To add more. We came back after 2 weeks! This time it was on a Sunday lol Ordered Ribeye w chimichurri with 3 eggs and toast combo w hash brown. Hubby and I shared again. And again... it was perfect! We left happy and satisfied. Highly recommend.

HOWEVER, today while eating at the bar with my partner, a staff named Alison was sweeping right nearby us and swept right over my feet and touched my feet with the broom. What's worse, is when I looked at her in shock, she didn't even bother to acknowledge me or apologize. I was upset for Two reasons: it was 2 hours before closing, you don't need to be kicking up dirt and dust when clients are eating, and in my culture it is VERY disrespectful to sweep someone's feet; in fact we believe it to be bad luck. It ruined my meal and quite frankly, I'm feeling like I underreacted in the moment for how disrespected I felt. I hope the manager communicates to their staff about awareness and appropriate behaviors while clients are still dining.
