This place was located right across the street from my hotel so I had to try it! I ordered a cheese burger..,it was the bomb!!! Perfectly cooked, delicious bun and the toppings. Iceberg lettuce, white onion, tomato and the mayonnaise/ mustard. The mustard on the burger was so tasty! I ate the whole thing! I also ordered fries, they were thick and hot- wasn't given left overs in the basket. There is no indoor seating, two picnic tables out front over looking the blvd. There is a small parking lot. Two windows, one to order and the other for pick up The cashier wasn't overly friendly, in fact when my spouse asked about what soda they sold she made no attempt to help him by stating it was posted on the window, I saw it on the menu board behind her. No line, and got my food relatively quickly. I got the cheeseburger, bacon cheeseburger, and side of chili cheese fries. Total came out to less than $30 for a meal for two. Not bad, and pretty standard. The cheeseburger tasted OK, tons of chopped lettuce in there. Fortunately I love veggies so I enjoyed it, but could see how this could turn off some people. This is a classic giant burger spot. My husband and I have been coming here for years as it's an easy spot to go to for classic burgers, fries, and milkshakes. Their burgers are pretty simple diner type burgers. The fries are on the boring side - think BK fries... very plain and sometimes meh textured. Giant Burger is a solid deal if you're in the Hayward mission area. Pretty good value for a big burger that's juicy and tasty. Food came out pretty quick, though there weren't too many people there. This place is a quick walk away from the Hayward Plunge. Perfect place to celebrate after finishing a swim class. This place is a simple burger and freaking good! It reminds me of a whopper with cheese from Burger King. They use a very watery mayonnaise or add water to their mayonnaise. Their standard burger condiments include mustard which is a little weird to me but didn't notice too much. Service is quick for a quick meal. I love their turkey burgers! They're definitely special since not a lot of places offer turkey burgers. And they're amazing here! There's nothing special about their burgers. It was simple and tasty. The burgers are cooked on a flat top grill (I prefer char grilled). I ordered cheese and bacon for extras. Fresh l/t/o with mayonnaise and mustard come standard. No ketchup, which I was fine with. The fries were crispy but not seasoned. As for ambiance, there's a walk up ordering window and not much of a seating area at the restaurant, so we ate in our car - but they have a big parking lot so that wasn't a big deal. 2022 Update. This is the first time I've been here since 2021. It seems there is new staff operating the counters. They were all friendly but sadly missing was the people I've seen before that were previously working at that establishment. I wonder if they are still there. The food is still good today but can't help but think I've noticed a size reduction in the way the burgers look. The previous ones we've had looked bigger in size. So maybe we're getting less but still getting an affordable price for burgers versus bigger fast food chains. 1 Cheeseburger without Mustard and one Bacon Cheeseburger with Fries, it came out to almost $21 which is very reasonable and very affordable still. Nations still has competition which I like. No more indoor seating from what I've observed only 2 tables outside for outdoor dining. Also absent, no wheelchair accessible seating if one in a wheel chair wanted to enjoy their meal outside.
