The present infrastructure has a service counter, 2 ordering kiosks, 2 unisex restrooms, 8 tables inside for dining & 1 table outside for waiting food delivery drivers. The unseen footage left for food vendors... Medium sized parking capacity peaks when diners picking up eats and delivery drivers converge at the same time. (Evenings). The associate at service counter courteous, very helpful with answers to service & order related questions. Only 3 vendors available with slenderized menu. (Didar Persian Foods, Bobjip, Pupuseria Las Cabanas). All others either departed or taking a seasonal siesta. New vendors arriving in January. The kiosks easy to use albeit slow either due to software issues or designed lethargy to allow users to digest data provided. Names were called out when orders were ready. Text messages also utilized. My iphone didn't get one. It's busy porting from Xfinity to Verizon. No internet either. Not much decor. Just East Bay Eats painted on one wall. I've gone here 2 times both times the employees working there were disappointingly bad at their job. Why did they hire such rude people? They were minimal during the transaction, no greeting, unhelpful when asking how it works, giving off an irritated vibe overall, no response to thank you. And then when their friend came in the store it's full charisma to handshake and catch up. You couldn't script it better. I kid you not I waited 10 minutes longer for my food out of a 30 minute total wait than I had to because the guy didn't care to let me know the food was ready. I understand this is a new operation and it's supposed to be a seamless transaction with minimal p2p interaction but train your employees to have some decency. The second time I went it was a different employee who mistook me for a DoorDash driver and directed me to the wrong kiosk. Then when I tried figuring out the right way to order he got defensive. Nice concept. It's a ghost kitchen. There are many restaurants to chooses from. We tried bobjip last time. This time we tried the new MJ Hong Kong Cafe and Mom's Hawaiian bake. We ordered MJ online but we ordered Mom's there. It was convenient. There was a girl there helping and answered my question about Musibi Libre since i didn't see it on the kiosks. She said I had to scan the QR code to order separately. There are tables inside as well if you'd like to dine in. Lots of ppl come in to grab stuff from the lockers. We enjoyed our experience. This is what I think some big tech companies want our food to look like in the future: hospital cafeteria. You go in, order at a kiosk, and then your name is called out at the counter or you can pick up your food at a locker with a link. The good about this place: the abundance of food options, the time estimate, and there's some seating. The bad: the time estimates are not always correct (in fact my boba came out almost 15 minutes after the estimated time), the seating is sparse with just 6 small cramped tables and some bar chairs, and you cannot really correct your order given the impersonal nature of the food. On top of that, the kiosks ask you if you want to tip even though you've had no human interaction at that point - and there's no "other" option for tipping, only set percentages of 15%, 20%, 22%, or nothing. This place really makes you feel uneasy about the direction of tech and fast food. Makes you wonder how much these folks are getting paid to cook our food. And then the amount of packaging does not make you feel great either. Everything was packed in plastic and paper. It's not the best. Things here are a hit or miss. We also had a problem with my boba being too hard and uncooked, and I got it anyways. My chicken gyro had little flavor. My partner loved his eel bowl and spam musubi. We weren't a fan of the chocolate dosa. But we were impressed we could order as much of a variety as we did. This place could use some more life. There was no music playing. And I heard people asking about their orders, food delivery people walking in and out looking at the lockers and screens for status updates, and then unknowing customers walking in exclaiming that they thought it'd be a food hall and not like this, and then walk out. When you arrive, there's someone at the counter to assist with pickup, ordering at the touchscreen kiosk and answer any questions. Friendly, welcoming and professional. Great concept but I wish they offered a bit more variety with regard to cuisines. I love Middle Eastern, Persian and Indian food but this location had very similar flavors and items. Also, I was hoping for some new purveyors or startups but noticed restaurants that already exist within 4 miles of this ghost kitchen. We've been there a couple of times. We love the choices from Homemade Onolicious bread, cookies , cakes & Furikake mix ! I'm pretty sure we've tried it all ! I did order the lemon crunch cake for my birthday and it was light , fluffy & lemon & crunchy toffee yumminess . Tina the owner is very kind & full of OHANA hospitality. The whole East Bay eats is a variety of different foods in a ghost kitchen setting . It is very clean inside. Looking forward to trying out the all the varieties of food . The only downside is the area to eat all these different foods , seating is limited & no outdoor tables to enjoy a beautiful California day . This place is fairly new. I stopped by to check it out since I've been wondering what it was all about. I was happily surprised of what it is they do in there. I spoke to one of the workers and I was told that they basically do ghost kitchens. Where restaurants pay for space to be able to cook what they normally cook from their menus. That is awesome! Especially since going to the restaurants sometimes takes a long time or maybe too far. To place an order you can either order online or on the app by scanning the QR code on the window or walking inside they have two large kiosks touch screen where you see what ghost kitchens are available at the time. They have a small section where you can actually eat there once your food is ready. The food itself is made exactly as if you were at the restaurant. The only difference is that they give you your food in a to go container since this is basically that.. orders to go. I had pupusas from Las Cabañas Pupuseria. Popular salvadoeian restaurant here in Hayward. So pupluar that food sometimes takes a long while to get. Here I waited no longer than 15mns. Once you place the order you basically pay on the kiosk put in your phone number and you get a text when they're preparing your food when your food is ready and that's it. My first time ordering here. I asked for help to learn how this business works. I got courteous help. I went through the process and ordered a smoothie from Lotus and Lime. Simple process. Quick. I suppose they will have more restaurants contracted with them in future. Its a good beginning so far. The store front is around the side. I suggest starting from the Der Weinerschnitzel across the street from East Bay Eats and walking over to the sidewalk that is on the other side of the street. I was really excited to check this out and even more excited that it's here in Hayward. The entrance is off the Downtown Hayward parking lot that is behind Buffalo Bills and Casa Del Toro. You can order ahead online or they have kiosks for you to order when you arrive. The kiosk is really easy to use you're able to see all the different restaurants available and their menu. We had to wait about 10-15 mins for our order to be ready and since it was busy they just called out name out. They do have a few tables there for you to eat, but we just took our food home. They do also have 2 restrooms if you need it. I ordered from Pupusas Las Cabañas and got 2 revuelta pupusas. They were a bit cold when I got home, but it was just from the drive home. I came here during May Day to be the heat and crowd. This is a ghost kitchen with several vendors and seating about 15+ seats. You can go in person and order on their kiosk station or online. Pick and eat there or pick up to go. There are a couple people who calls out the orders and keep things clean. Ordered from Sayhey Teapod Curry House: curry noodles, fried calamari, chicken katsu curry and Chachago for boba. The food was delicious. I enjoyed the curry flavor on the noodles. It reminds me of packet ramen noodles with yummy curry flavor. Do note that the curry noodles doesn't have any fish balls or anything like the photo. It's literally just curry noodles. I would add other meats to make it more of a meal. The katsu curry was nice and crispy and tasty. The boba from Cha Cha Go was really good. Their boba was the perfect sweetness and chewiness. Will come back and try the other vendors. Only con is tipping on the kiosk. I would like the option to CUSTOM tip. Especially since I'm doing take out. I was craving Chinese food and came here and was not at all impressed. It's a ghost kitchen with multiple vendors. Maybe the vendors I ordered from were just not good but I feel like it's just subpar food. Only plus is if you are going with a group everyone can choose what they want. Self order at the kiosk. Seating area is small so not great for large groups. Area isn't great and that's not really their fault but as I'm eating a homeless person pees right outside the establishment. Def lost my appetite after that. We got food from the Korean place and from the Chinese place. From the Korean place we got the bibimbap with bulgogi. The Bulgogi was not good at all. Tasted like frozen food that was not even the slightest bit authentic. From the Chinese place we got the beef hoi fun which was not edible. The beef tasted so weird (like baking soda) and that flavor bled throughout the noodles. Not that it mattered since I couldn't finish it, but there's barely any beef in the dish. read more

The exterior and interior is modern and pretty clean - it was a bit smaller than it looked / I expected with some seating off to the side. Ordering is online or through the kiosks at the front counter with no one at the front for questions, but someone usually comes out to bring food out to the counter, if you can flag them down. I was able to try Pho 99 from here. I wanted boba from ChaChaGo as well, but not sure if they are still here or just were not opened at the time I stopped by. Pretty interesting concept. It's not really a cafeteria and you don't actually get to see who makes your food and how they make it. It's a ghost kitchen! First one I've seen pop up in our area. You order from the website or the tablets inside, and there are about 20 or something different vendors to choose from. Once you complete your order, you'll eventually get a text with a link that will let you open a locker containing your order. The downside is that you can only order from one vendor at a time. It would've been nice to be able to add multiple vendors to the cart. Inside is pretty basic, you've got a lobby with lockers and 2 small sitting areas. There are people at the front desk that can assist you or answer any questions. We've used this place a few times; Mom's has been overall amazing with their sweets. Bobjip was alright; we tried their kimbaps but never got a chance to order the fried chicken. Musubi Libre has some solid spam musubis with unique twists. FreshZilla pizza was just ok. You can give feedback via text once your order is completed; I gave 5 stars when I got good food, and 1 Star when I didn't which resulted in a survey in which the business I rated badly gave me a call back. Overall though very convenient and efficient place to get some quick takeout! Just wait in your car or order in advance and come in and out to pickup your order from the locker. 4 stars based on the ratio of bad to good to amazing vendors we've tried. I would give this place a 3.5 I love the idea of this being in Hayward and kuddos for the name. I looked up this place before coming in and I was intrigued with the different options of cuisines they offer. Like I wanted to eat everything. We got there around 1pm on a Saturday. The tables were filled but it's not a food hall, there's like 4 large tables crammed into one side. There's no menus up of what the different restaurants offer, rather you go up to one of the two kiosks and thumb through the different restaurants, hit the back button, and try to navigate what you want to order, but it wasn't ideal for me. Also, if you want to order from different spots, you have to do a different transaction. Basically ordering kinda takes a minute. Another down side was more than half the restaurants weren't open when we went. I ordered from pho 99 and it was good. read more

You collect your order and find a seat inside. The only interaction with staff is at the cashier, but most of the process is self-service through kiosks. Now, about the food. We ordered from 99 Pho, and I've attached my receipt for the Oxtail Spicy Noodles Bun Bo Hue. Unfortunately, the noodles were overcooked, and the oxtail was extremely tough. The broth was very watered down, and I had to add my own salt, pepper, and chili oil to get any flavor. Ultimately, I ended up throwing the food away. read more

I'm so glad one of these ghost kitchens opened up in Hayward! Went here to catch up with a few coworkers. It was a great place to choose because it has so many different options here including Mexican, Mediterranean, Korean, Japanese, pizza, and more! Seating is very limited, wouldn't recommend coming with bigger parties. There's about 6-8 different tables to sit, with about 4 seats each, and could be filled up depending on the time of day that you come. It was pretty filled friday after work. Service was quick, ordered our food and it was out in 10-20 minutes. Many different ways to order, either via kiosk, on your phone, or pre order on your phone for pick up. The prices seemed to be on the higher side compared to similar establishments but understandable so given the current economy. There are only two kiosks for ordering which can led to long wait times, especially during peak hours but you can order online in advance. Also, limited dining area so better for to-go. Despite these drawbacks, the food itself was delicious. We tried the spam and egg musibi from Musubi Libre ($4.49 each), Taiwanese brown sugar boba milk tea from ChaChaGo ($6.50), sweet crispy spicy Korean fried chicken (large $29.95) and beef kimbap ($10.99) from Bobjip, and asada revuelta (pork taco) ($8.99) from Pupuseria Los Cabanas. read more

Person at front was super nice and helpful explaining things. Clean place. Decent size area if you want to stay & eat. You can order online or in person at one of the two kiosks. I ordered from kiosk. Love the large screens. Easy to navigate from each business. You pay each business separately if doing multiple orders from different businesses. Most have pictures for reference. Good descriptions are given. Got a text confirmation with copy of my order. Wait time was not bad, under 10 min. But I do realize I prob went at an off time so wait may be longer next trip. As mentioned went for my spam musubi (and lumpia), but ended up leaving with an extra dish as well. Couldn't resist. Wanted to get more, but will have to save for the next visit. Honestly, everything looked good! Special on spam musubi since they are new. Now is a great time to try them if you haven't already. Great concept, lots of options. Hours vary by kitchen, but lots to choose from. The parking lot can get pretty busy but excited to try the other options under this one roof. They currently have 12 different restaurants ranging from Asian to Mediterranean. It appears to be quite popular with food delivery services but walking in is a great option as well. read more

Keep driving by this place and finally decided to make a go of it. You walk in and there are two kiosks to the left of the counter. Kind of close in proximity if you ask me. Still, call me a boomer, but not the most self explanatory situation. Eventually figured it out, without the offer of any help from the staff, but it seems you cannot order from multiple places at once. Have to order one item from one place, pay and then start over for another item at another place. So not convenient. Unless we missed the step where it gives you the option to continue ordering. Wanted to dine in, but did not realize this place is not ideal for that. This is definitely designed for the take out and run somewhere else peeps. Ordered from the Himalayan place and waited. Seemed reasonable, but there is no real waiting area either. Next time we order online. Have smart phone, get locker service. Kind of cool I suppose. Food was on par.
