Durian pastry - it was served hot. Very delicious

The place is huge! and I want to let you know that there are so many rooms you can rent for special occasions. There are plenty of parking places. We went at around 11am and we were seated right away. Out of our order, what stood out was the durian pastry, which was served warm on the inside with plenty of fruits, and deliciously crunchy on the outside. The beef with noodles dish on sizzling hot pot style warmer, also had the flavor that will keep you wanting more and more. The dimsum small dishes are just ok in my opinion, but the beautiful decorations throughout the place made up for this wonderful dining experience.

We had HL Peninsula for a part of my birthday celebrations and the food never fails. We had the rice skin wrapped with shrimp, har gow, siu mai, roast duck, buns and more! Everything is so well made and it's become our local favorite. We are elated we don't have to drive across the bridge to get HL anymore.

Came in on a Saturday morning at 10 AM and it looks like they open a bit earlier than that on weekends. We had a group of 5 so we were able to order a bit more than before. Overall, the food was solid and the pricing is fair (they add in a 15% service charge but leave no line for adding in a tip). Food arrived hot and although we waited for a few things, everything did come out as ordered.

This time around, I left feeling disappointed. The level of service I experienced previously was noticeably lacking during this visit. We spent a significant amount for lunch, yet waited nearly an hour for the piggy custard buns. Throughout that time, multiple servers passed by our table assuring us the order was on its way--but it never arrived. Later, we were told that a second order had never been placed, despite it clearly being marked on our menu. It appears the order was never entered into the system, which is frustrating, as that's not something the customer should be held responsible for. At the end of the day, it wasn't really about the buns--it was about the principle. The lack of accountability, the miscommunication, and especially being met with blame instead of a solution made the experience even more disappointing. There also didn't seem to be any effort from the staff to follow through or check with the kitchen regarding the missing order. Unfortunately, this experience took away from the overall dining experience. The automatic gratuity for larger parties may also play a role, as it can sometimes reduce the sense of urgency or ownership in service. Because of this visit, I'm hesitant to consider this restaurant a top choice moving forward.

Was excited to try this new dim sum spot! It is huuuuuge, barely a wait on the sunday before CNY! the only thing was the parking lot is small compared to how big the restaurant is! Food is all very standard and yummy, I love dim sum so I loved it all!

Not sure if I went on an off day, but I had by far the worst dim sum experience here. I visited on a Tuesday during lunch and it was horrendous. We were there for over an hour and a half, which is extremely long for a lunch service in my opinion. The restaurant is huge but barely half was filled, so not sure why service was so slow. Service was terrible and inconsistent. At first, the servers were attentive but many times we were having to flag down servers for more water, to get a status on our food, etc, which of course also leads them to be a bit annoyed. Our tables around us also were waiting long times for their dishes. We ordered about 8 dishes which all came out scattered, where we had some food then we'd have to wait another 15+ minutes for the next item. It took 50 minutes for our congee to come out which is ridiculous. We couldn't eat our food consistently which had us wanting to order more because the food was taking so long and we were hungry and waiting, we ended up ordering chow fun last minute and Shanghai dumplings which we noticed they forgot to add from our first order.. Surprisingly the Shanghai dumplings came out still before the congee from our first order. The dim sum itself was fine, smaller pieces and portions were smaller than other spots. We got the general tao chicken wing and two pieces weren't cooked thru and at that point, I was genuinely annoyed and over it. We didn't complain or anything, I just finished as quick as I could so we could leave. I won't be back and don't recommend this spot. Their menu is limited compared to other spots so it baffles my mind that service was THAT slow on a weekday. I cannot imagine what service is like on a weekend when it's a full house. Prices are on the higher side for the portion and quality as well. There are better dimsum spots I'd rather make the drive to. It was almost $200 for three adults + 3 items I placed for to go. That's insane!

We just had the chance to try out HL Peninsula and the dim sum, chow fun, and chow mein was fantastic. You can tell the shrimp bonnets and pork crab siu mai is fresh not frozen. The beef in the chow fun and the assorted meat in the HK style crispy chow mein was fresh. They were also good sized portions. The custard tarts came out first and were kind of sad looking. I ate half and lucky me, nobody at my table was tempted so I ate the other half, super delish. 8 of us came at 1 pm on a Sunday. They were super busy but we were seated in 15 minutes. Normally, I wouldn't come so late because the fresh food is usually ready just before noon. No leftovers from the day before reheated and everything should be heated and ready. However, food was surprisingly still fresh at 1 pm. They ran out of two sweet items, a pancake & a sweet bao. There is an automatic tea charge and also a 16% service charge. The 8 of us were sat at a table for 12 so we had plenty of room. There were no places for extra chairs. They leave them around the table. I'm just glad we were seated and could put our purses on the chairs and sit in more than one chair. The waiting area had lots of chairs too and they were in good shape! The employees were working hard. They did seem a bit disorganized. There was a manager who was trying to lead the employees but there was so many customers and so many little things customers wanted or needed, that more experienced workers would have made everything run more smoothly. I asked an employee for boxes for our leftovers and he brought one box and one bag. I needed 3 boxes. If he was trained to look at the leftovers and estimate how many boxes were needed, confirmed and got them, he wouldn't have needed to make two runs to get enough boxes. I love dim sum and it was very good. I would go back if I was in the area.

Been here a few times for lunch and it's consistently good: - service - quality food, I like the kitchen foods more than the dim sum, but enjoyed the durian green tea mochi - max 10 minute wait, 10ish and 12ish (no wait) Improvement - more bathrooms And THE most important thing: NO MSG headache!!!!

Came here around noon on a Sunday and I expected a long wait. Luckily we were seated immediately! Food arrived pretty quick and everything was made to order. I tried a few new items and I would have to say I'm pretty satisfied with every dish! Will come again!

Second time here. First time we came late (8pm), the huge restaurant was pretty empty, and we had three dishes - one was very good & memorable: Chef Special Blackened BBQ Pork! Today, we came at 10:45am and it was already packed - President's Day holiday & the day before Chinese New Year. The large parking lot was already full. Even so, we were seated immediately. The many staff & servers were nice, efficient & seemed to work well together. The restaurant is huge, spacious & clean. We ordered the traditional Har Gow (shrimp dumplings), Siu Mai (pork & shrimp dumplings), Beef Chow Fun Dry (we asked for no bean sprouts & it was no problem), and Tomato Beef Chow Mien with Pan Fried Noodles (which isn't on their menu ... and they made it anyway & made it very well!). We also ordered Green Beans with Garlic (also not on their menu & they made it well anyway!). We also had Pan-Seared Chive & Shrimp Dumplings and Short Ribs with Teriyaki Sauce. The four of us are Chinese and have eaten lots of Chinese food in our lives. My Mom is especially picky & unfiltered about how she feels about Chinese food. We all felt all of the food was delicious! The prices may seem a bit high though the servings are quite large too. And there's an extensive selection of teas. I'm sure we'll be back again soon!

Tried HL Peninsula Sun 2/8/26 Super Bowl day, it was full at 11am but we still got a table no wait. We got 10 dim sum dishes prices $6.80-10.80 and tea was $3.70. Beef roll was no good, weird beef that comes out of the rolls. Chicken feet - good Pork spareribs - ok Tofu roll - ok Tripe - hubby liked Egg tarts - good Shrimp chive dumpling - ok Turnip cake - was almost cold, meh Seaweed and jelly fish - ok Pork shrimp shui mai - ok Maybe worth going if nearby, I probably won't go back since it's 30min each way and not cheap.

Came here multiple times with my family, sometimes for dim sum and sometimes for dinner. The food is ok and the service is adequate though sometimes you have to ask multiple times for things. We tried fried rice, stir fry pea sprouts, lamb clay pot, honey walnut prawns, steamed oysters, fried squab, chicken, clam claypot and they were mediocre. I have definitely had better elsewhere. I did really enjoy two dishes: Tofu with Fuzzy Melon & Fish To-Fu Simmered in Fish Broth and the crab soup. They usually give you free dessert after dinner; it's usually red bean soup.

But hey, it was my dad's birthday. I wasn't paying for lunch. We occupied three tables and ordered from both the lunch and dim sum menus. I enjoyed dishes like shiu mai, pork buns, walnut shrimp, fried rice, fish, and fried noodles. The sesame balls were tasty, but the service was slow, and I had to follow up on our order. I didn't care for the bun with the hot dog or the other noodle dish. Later that day, my daughter mentioned she had found hair in a pork bun and that her cousin had eaten it. She also said every item he picked up had hair on it, which was disappointing. I didn't confirm this with my cousin, but it would have been helpful to have someone inform the staff. Fortunately, no one at our table found hair in their food, which was a relief. Overall, the food that I ate was fine, but I wouldn't make a special trip from San Jose to visit again...unless it's a fambam family treat.

We ordered some staple dim sum items like pork siu mai and har gow, and both were really good. I also tried the shrimp and scallop dumplings, which are similar to har gow, and those were pretty tasty too. We also got the fried rice with salted fish, and it was made in a "yang chow" style, so it was rather pale in color, but don't let that fool you, because it was really flavorful. We also ordered their fried calamari, which was meh at best and was nothing special. That was probably my least favorite dish. We also got lo mai gai and deep fried taro dumplings filled with pork. For the price I'm paying for, almost $10 per portion for 4 piece siu mai, I expected to have a "wow" food that will play a song in my mouth and not just ordinary dim sum.

I originally came to Fusion Delight because of the purple interior…read more Seriously. The giant lotus chandeliers, the deep violet lighting, the old-school banquet hall atmosphere - it immediately reminded me of the large Cantonese restaurants that used to define family dining in the Bay Area years ago. But after eating here during a packed weekend dinner service, I realized the real attraction is not the decor. It is the operational consistency. The dining room was completely full, with a long line of people still waiting outside. Under that kind of pressure, many large Chinese restaurants start losing control somewhere: fried dishes soften, stir-fries lose wok hei, food arrives unevenly, service becomes rushed. Fusion Delight somehow keeps the system together. And what impressed me even more was that the staff never became impatient. Even with the restaurant running at full capacity, the servers stayed friendly, patient, and organized. No chaos, no attitude - just steady service under pressure. That is not easy in a restaurant this size. The Mongolian beef was the first thing that stood out. Instead of thin slices hidden under sauce, the beef here is cut unusually thick and long - some pieces nearly two inches. Thick-cut beef is risky because once overcooked it immediately turns tough, but here the meat stayed tender while still carrying proper wok sear and caramelization. That tells me the kitchen understands heat control and timing. The crispy pork intestines were even more impressive. These were clearly braised first, then fried before the final stir-fry. The outside kept its gelatin-rich texture while the inside still carried fat and aroma, but without the unpleasant odor that ruins this dish at weaker restaurants. Even people who normally avoid intestine dishes could probably eat this version comfortably. That level of cleaning and pre-processing matters. The braised lamb with skin was another old-school banquet dish done correctly. The lamb was soft without collapsing, while the skin still retained structure. More importantly, the prep work was meticulous -- no gamey smell, no rough trimming, no shortcuts. The sea cucumber and pork tendon dish also showed strong banquet-kitchen fundamentals. The pork tendon had clearly been oil-expanded beforehand, giving it that proper soft and elastic texture instead of rubbery chewiness. The sea cucumber still retained bite and structure. The Singapore-style rice noodles and scallop egg white fried rice were textbook Cantonese banquet staples. The rice noodles stayed dry and separated while still carrying wok aroma and oil fragrance. The scallop egg white fried rice looked simple, but every grain remained distinct and lightly coated without clumping together. That level of consistency under volume is difficult. Even the red bean dessert soup at the end was handled carefully. The red beans still held their shape instead of dissolving into paste, while the sago remained fully intact and translucent. Most restaurants stop caring once dessert leaves the kitchen. Fusion Delight clearly does not. And honestly, that may be the best way to describe this restaurant overall. Fusion Delight is not trying to be trendy. It is not trying to become minimalist fine dining. It is not trying to be social-media bait. This is a high-volume Chinese banquet restaurant operating with old-school Cantonese production discipline. Hot food arrives hot. Fried dishes stay crisp. Wok hei survives peak hours. Plating still looks intentional during a packed dinner service. That kind of consistency is harder than people think. And somehow, inside a giant purple dining room filled wall-to-wall with families, they make it work. - Dr. C Purple room approved. Wok heat calibrated. Banquet discipline detected. Consistency at scale = correct.

Visited here with my friends on a Wednesday morning…read more The restaurant opens at 10:30 AM, and we arrived a bit early--there were already a few customers waiting outside. However, within about an hour, the restaurant was almost full. Even though it wasn't the weekend, it was still very busy. This is one of my favorite dim sum spots because the food is consistently delicious, especially the siu mai--it's a must-try! The service is fast and friendly, which makes the experience even better. There is also plenty of parking, which is a big plus. The restaurant is spacious, with beautiful purple lighting that really catches the eye. The high ceiling also makes the space feel very open and comfortable. Although this place doesn't have the highest ratings on Yelp, it's definitely still very popular and worth visiting.

I've driven past this divey-lookin' Cantonese spot that looks like it used to be an old KFC, so…read moremany times. I finally decided to take a peek and got some take-out to bring to a family member's house for a luncheon get-together. Given the old fast food spacing, I thought this was going to be mostly a take-out spot. But this place does have some tables in there and may even rock some table service. I did a pick-up on a weekend lunch, and the inside was quite packed, almost chaotic even. The tables are jammed together, and people are bringing parties of 4-6 in here like it is a banquet hall, some even lugging strollers in that tiny space. And with all that clusterf#@'n, there is a line of people standing, waiting for take-out literally hovering over people's heads that are eating. Friggin' insane! Total 180 from 2020...member those days. Lol But I can see why people can mob this spot. The kitchen is pretty decent, not top notch but quite decent. And even though not cheap ($17+ dishes) they do give you a good amount, so I think there is a good perception for value here Combo Chow Mein ($19/3*) I got this for family members that like noodles, and I thought it was just mid. Thick yellow lo mein noodles are stir fried with big chunks of chicken, pork and shrimp. The proteins were impressive as nothing were tiny bites. But the noodles were just meh, with little wok flavor and it just seemed a bit tacky to me, versus smooth and chewy. I wanted to try the chow fun but will have to wait til next time. The reviews seem positive for that. Half Roast Duck ($18/4.5*) I only had a few pieces during our potluck and I felt they do a good job with these roast ducks. Beautiful mahogany color on the exterior, not too crisp but also not greasy and soggy. The meat was juicy and not too salty, which I applaud. Lots of bony pieces but that is the nature of this dish, it is a nibbler's jam. Salt n Pepper Pork Chops ($17.50/3.5*) Thin cut pork chops cut into smaller pick-up pieces. It is definitely marinated in that baking soda seasoning as the meat is super tender, almost squishy. There's some starch coating (cornstarch?) but the fry is so light that it doesn't get that crisp. I like it more crisp. But not sure if the steam from the box softened the crispness, but I tried one right in the car to taste while it was still fresh. I liked the seasoning as it was salty and very garlic-y, but the exterior was more sticky and tacky versus crisp. I love Canto food so I'm sure I'm gonna be back to try more dishes. Still want to try their Wonton Soups, a simple steamed fish dish with some vibrant greens and that Beef Chow Fun just to name a few. I may even eat in but definitely on a weekday/weeknight. I'm not too keen with someone hovering above my head whilst I'm having a serious nomming session. *insert shrugged shoulders emoji*
