Crepe itself was slightly crispy with a nice mixture of salmon, spinach and egg. Good combination. Added Tapatio for some heat. Menu did say it was spicy but didn't pick up on that. Shibuya Honey Toast: 5/5 - I was intrigued by the name and picture in the store. When it arrived, it was presented nicely with chocolate and vanilla ice cream with blueberries and strawberries around the plate. The Honey bread itself has a nice crisp to it with the right balance of sweetness to it. My wife and I devoured this. Definitely recommended. Overall, this was a great spot if you are craving crepes. As soon as I walked in, I felt so welcome and I was seated right away. The place is beautiful and the seating and the overall vibe was immaculate. It was so cute I had to take pictures of the actual inside of the restaurant. The workers were incredibly kind and the service was quick and also amazing as well. The overall ambiance of the place was amazing and it's perfect for pictures!! I got the honey toast and the strawberry milk float -- and both were amazing and worth the whole experience. I would definitely come back and recommend this place to anyone who wants to eat something whether it be breakfast, brunch, lunch, dinner, or dessert. The quality of the honey toast was unlike anything I have ever had before. It was life-changing and also served beautifully. I can't believe I've gone my whole life without having the honey toast from here. The strawberry milk float was perfect and complimented the meal so well. I actually don't believe that I could ever get better service or better toast from somewhere ever again. Whenever I need to satisfy my toast cravings I will always come here and only come here. We ordered a bunch of crepes - both sweet and savory. My 2 favorite ones were the chicken pesto and the mango crepe. I wasn't a fan of the ube fried crepe (it's not on the menu, but you can still order it) or the thai crepe. The mushroom, cheese, and spinach was pretty decent as well. Sounds so simple but the house sauce they use really brought everything together! I would HIGHLY recommend this whether you're vegetarian or not, this is a must try. - chicken pesto: this one was really good as well! Always love a good chicken and pesto combo. Flavors definitely were not lacking. - Thai: this was probably my least favorite, only because it was more on the sweet side (probably from the shredded pork) than it was spicy and savory, which was what I was hoping for. I still think the flavor was unique and good, it just wasn't my favorite "savory" crepe here. - Mango ice cream: this was pretty good, I honestly didn't care for all the whipped cream it was packed with. It's definitely refreshing. - Ube fried crepe: this lacked the Ube flavor so wasn't really what I was expecting but not bad. It also came with cilantro and while it wasn't bad with the Ube, I just didn't really think it was GREAT combo. Overall, everything is good, I just think it depends on your expectations and experience with flavor.... For example, if you're a huge Ube person, I'm not 100% sure you'd love the Ube dessert, if you're expecting savory and a bit of spicy, I'm not sure you'd want to do the Thai. Earlier this month, I happened to be at the Blackhawk Plaza for a sports card & hobby trade show. In a sea of store closures, it was nice to see this little shop open and ready to serve customers. At first glance, the menu is intriguing with lots of sweet & savory items. I wanted to try them all however, as it was the middle of the day, I went with dessert. A cute cafe near the Blackhawk Museum! I went here after visiting the Blackhawk Museum and it's a small cafe with many crepe options. It was crowded when we went but they tried adding more tables and seats so people didn't need to wait. I thought this was nice, but it goes to the food waiting time and little service. We also got sitted outside next to a gym with their door opened, so we were literally seeing people exercise as we chatted and ate and vice versa for the people working out. We got their thai style street food crepe and Shibuya honey toast. I'm usually not a savory crepe person, but their thai style street food crepe was really delicious with a nice spicy flavor. There's pork floss and different sauces in it. The Shibuya honey toast was soft and you get 2 scoops of ice cream. We chose vanilla and chocolate. After exploring nearby brunches, I stumbled upon Brown Butter -- and boy was I glad I did. To explain this restaurant, it is quaint, has lots of plants, cutesy fonts and images, and amazing food and drinks! Service was really fast, in terms of seating, on a weekend but it was a little slow with getting our food. So for that I knocked it down a star because I feel like everyone who ordered after us was getting their food before us which was a little strange. Either way, once it did arrive, the food was great!
