Planta is in a really cute spot in the heart of Pleasanton. The staff were very warm and friendly. I felt like the lattes were a little mild on the flavor syrups, but they were decent quality and enjoyable. The breakfast sandwich was also decent. It's a solid spot to grab a coffee if you're in the area.

I came here not long after they opened up last to meet up with a friend for an early breakfast, and I am just getting to reflect on my first impressions. The interior is clean and simple, but I am not sure if I am a fan of the orange appointments. The interior space is deceivingly large. There are some hidden spaces towards the back of the restaurant making it to be a very odd layout. They were well staffed and very attentive. They have a selection of pastries and other basic breakfast items made-to-order. Despite it being a Saturday morning, many of their pastry items were unavailable. That was disappointing. We ended up with a few selections and espresso drinks. Nothing really stood out. Prices were average, however, given the unremarkable and unmemorable taste, I don't think this would be a place I would return to.

Planta Coffee House opened a few months ago where Home Care Assistance once was. Some seating outside. Much more inside. Decor vanilla walls with an orange tile wall & orange mural at the end wall. Some pics too. Seats mostly occupied. Offerings: coffee, sandwiches, specialty drinks, salads, soups. Empanadas, toasts, .. Sips: pour over (4)black only -Quickly made. Medium roast blend. boldish, strong brew. Came within minutes. Short line to order 4 stars worthy! Quantity: reasonable Quality: very good. *owners: Brava Garden Eatery a few doors over.

I've been anticipating this place's opening for so long and it definitely didn't disappoint! Cute, quirky, local coffee shop vibes. It seems like a great place to chat or sit and study for a while! Their coffee was good and they had a small pastry assortment, but I didn't get to try any. I'll definitely be back to try sometimes soon! The staff were friendly, quick, and kind. They seemed familiar with some of their regulars and were very welcoming :(

The short rib empanadas are delicious and I always get the turkey on ciabatta. Also the chips are 10/10

Empanada city, IDK about plant based food but the beouf empanada was truely delish, better than reg Argentina style, but spice is more pronounced. Capp was very small but most affordable under 4 dollars. They had pastry in room temp case but quickest [x2 kinds] were ready under warming holder case along with 6 diff empamadas at my early 8 visit. Will.return again for.hot tea and d a pastry[seen baked in ovens there] praying it's not Sysco, was present for soft opening and only had coffee. Empanada are baked there and seemed handmade and original.recipe. Seating and decor is off white a d orange and nice change for downtown.p-town. Seating is good for 20ish a d so.e outside. I will try the Lavender Latte next then maybe the chai. The empanadas and 4 Barrel Coffee [local roaster].seems smooth! Worth the stop/walk

    Ham and cheese empanada.

Loved what the new owners did to this space! The vibe of this cafe is great. Loved all the seating that's available, including a quieter nook in the back for those who would like to study/work. I got an Americano - it's a medium blend. My preference is dark but still, it was a nice cup of coffee, especially with it being priced around $5! They also have a great selection of pastries - sweet and savory, including empanadas! Delicious!!

Loved my visit to planta! I watched a video on tik tok and when I realized how close it was to work I decided to get up a few mins earlier so I can drop by. The vibes are so cute and feels like you are transported somewhere else. Can definitely do a cute photo op moment with all the orange! The empanadas were a 10/10! Small but mighty and packed with flavor. The coffee was good too my only complaint is that I needed a bit more ice. Don't get me wrong. I appreciate that it wasn't all ice and more coffee but I do think it needed just a lil more to help keep my drink cool for a bit. The staff were really friendly too which is always a plus.

Planta recently opened so we stopped in to check it out. I ordered a mocha and my lady ordered a latte, we also got a mortadella sandwich to share. All together $30 before tip, the sandwich was $15, a little pricey but it was yummy. Both of our drinks were delicious, the atmosphere was upbeat. Plenty of business coming through the door (along with the occasional tray of empanadas, I think they're made by Brava down the street) The decor is bright and looked like it was geared toward a family friendly vibe. There is even a kids area at the back of the shop.

My first review for 2026 goes to the Planta Coffee House in downtown Pleasanton. Planta has been open for business for about a month now and I've been itching to stop by sample their coffee. Well, it's New Years Day and pretty much everything downtown is closed except for Planta. What a perfect time to check this place out I told myself. My first impression is the lovely ambiance inside the coffee house. It's bright and clean with wood flooring with ample seating inside. I ordered my go to beverage which is a decaf americano. But wait, there's more! I noticed they had delightful empanadas too! The empanadas are made next door by Brava restaurant. I ordered a spinach empanada and a ham/cheese empanada. Both were delicious! My coffee was excellent as well. Staff was very cordial providing great customer service. There are several coffee shops in downtown Pleasanton. This one has a great vibe and is located on the north end of Main Street. I'll definitely be back again.

Came here on a Sunday morning around 9am and it wasn't so packed and there were plenty of tables. The place is very clean, love the natural lighting. I was greeted by lovely staff. I ordered a honey latte and it was perfect, not too sweet. I ordered the short rib & cheddar empanada and medialuna dulce de leche. I would definitely come back for the medialuna dulce de leche! It was so soo good!

I was in the area when I was trying to find the perfect place to get some work done. I was glad to stumble upon Planta Coffee House! Immediately the ambiance inside the coffee shop was so warm and inviting (i am a sucker for cute coffee shops)! I was welcomed with great and quick customer service! Looking at the menu it was very hard to figure out what I wanted to order since there were so much to choose from! Their Mortadella on Foccacia bread was SO yummy! I definitely would recommend coming here if you're in the area!

Cute inside. Food was over priced and plain . $13 for a Chinese Salad with no chicken and the size of a side salad . Disappointed .

Cute little spot with a cozy vibe--there's both couch seating and table seating inside, perfect whether you're catching up with a friend or just hanging out solo. That first sip of coffee? Instant obsession. I was hooked. The baristas were also super friendly, which made the whole experience even better. They've got a great selection of pastries and breakfast options too. I ordered the breakfast burrito (comes with egg, cheese and your choice of protein, plus a veggie option), and it did not disappoint--super satisfying and flavorful. Macy s had a cafe and it is also closed at time of this Writ. One of the unique tastes here, is it's Chai although known for it's many mixed coffee drinks and flavours having ample enough syrups to enjoy whilst shopping the Mall inside. In San Leandro is an older one but have seen these around over the years alike Tully's and/or Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf now left in The City. That major in iced coffee drinks famously. I had a similar experience couple times I went since grand opening last year to, AnaSofia Z.'s I believe it's okay and food odors mix in a higher ceiling and kept even in a 1st floor setting here. By men's macy's doors down towards center court. Kinda pricey for a Breakfast burro but expected for Mall Lease prices increasing due to less vendors currently renting space differences. Traffic is less except on the weekends, they always have enough staff at this location inside but still training and different persons and like the options on the shelf, but don't know how long it's been there, especially loose leaf tea. Cups are unique and tasteful. I will return for the 5th time, next time and will try a different drink. To us the avacado bagel toast and the quesedilla had more value, than burrito pricing as much as the flavors. My accompanier had the Hot Nutty Cow which was unlike other drinks. So kudos DESI for them for that on the nationwide menu. Another good thing is sugar free hot and cold drinks upforth on the menu giving others a chance to enjoy a beverage while others only use a sugar free syrup only change to anything, ALWAYS defaults Vanilla. Seating is usually full, good for them, but we occasionally found out of the door seating chairs to enjoy our food and beverage seated there. Only a 3*5 due to box chai and the tables dirty but I asked someone they came around the corner and cleaned as we appreciated that. Don't have any photos today, but you will see for yourself next time you go to Stoneridge Mall across from Game Stop, that closed and was vacant blank black on our last visit last week. Ume was around the bend but favors bobba tea and their drive thru closed to re-open as Cowboy Coffee this week.

However, if you like your food more spicy, definitely let them know. The only way to do this is if you order directly through a cashier or you somehow get their attention before they finish your order. Otherwise, ordering through the kiosk does not allow you to input any special requests.
