Solid snacks and beverages in downtown Pleasanton. Stopped by with the missus who loves this place - it was 95 degrees so we sat indoors (the outdoor seating is much nicer). I ordered a hot matcha latte and she ordered an iced dulce de lecche latte, and we shared the burrata toast and a chocolate macadamia coconut cookie. The food came quickly. I wasn't too impressed with my matcha (too strong, not sweet enough) but she seemed to enjoyed her iced drink. The burrata toast was AMAZING - pesto on perfectly toasted sourdough, generously loaded with fresh burrata cheese and marinated cherry tomatoes, drizzled with olive oil and balsamic vinegar, and topped with arugula - it simply WORKED! Location and customer service as needed is outstanding and convenient here at Koffee Time, tucked in a hidden parking lot area where you can see the hardware store across the lot. It appears to be quite busy most of the prime hours, but when I walking inside after 12:30pm on a Wednesday afternoon, it turned out pretty relaxing, especially with the outdoor patio area too. Very casual spot with breakfast lunch beverages pastries etc. The young caucasian lady cashier was 5/5 good with over the counter customer service. Good training. She really made my experience feel great here. Friendly/helpful/welcoming. Not fancy inside. I had the Greek salad with chicken breast , but without feta cheese (due to my special diet). Seriously, the salad was delicious, fresh, balanced, huge in portion size, and tasted much better than it looks on photos. Good restaurant quality simple lunch salad. Love it. I had a hot cup organic green tea to go with it. Some of these tiny small business cafes/coffee shops are doing very good on the market. Plenty of public spots in the lot, but do look at signs showing private parking. Public street parking is more desirable if you don't want to take risk parking on the private lot. All good. I was on the hunt for a breakfast burrito and this place came up on the search list. It's on Main Street but it has a small parking lot in front. They have seating outside and tables inside for dining. The breakfast burrito was not like any other burrito I've had before. I think they put a mix of spinach and lettuce in it. I feel like it could've been more flavorful but it does come with what looks like a homemade salsa. The breakfast sandwich was delicious with a good balance of egg and ciabatta bread; I've never thought to add mayonnaise but it was a delicious addition! The moment I walked in, the staff greeted me with real warmth, the kind that makes you feel like they're actually glad you stopped by. The space itself is cozy and relaxed, easy to settle into whether you're grabbing breakfast or lingering over a drink. I tried the mazapan latte and it was so good. Lightly sweet with that soft nutty flavor, but not heavy. It felt thoughtful, like they really know how to balance the flavors. For breakfast, the croissant sandwich was fresh and flaky, not stiff or bready. The egg was soft and the cheese melted just right. I've gone here twice now! I got a dulce de leche latte and burrata toast the first time that were sooo good. The baristas were all so welcoming and friendly. I had a great experience. My second time I got an avocado toast and matcha and they were so delicious--and plated beautifully omg I took pictures which I'll link below. Pleasanton has a lot of cafes downtown so as a customer the service and quality of food have to be really good to remain memorable and to return to. I came across Koffee time and it's a tiny little space (almost hidden) with a great looking breakfast menu. I ordered the breakfast burrito and I kid you not it's one of the best I've had in awhile . It's so simple and overly decorated like modern cafes. Eggs, meat, cheese, spinach and potatoes. Their spicy mayo is so flavorful and so is the sauce they provide - I took mine to go! For the price it's a good size burrito! I also ordered a cold brew and it was crisp. The staff taking my order were super friendly and they are busy!! Today was my second time coming to this cute cafe in the heart of downtown Pleasanton. If it wasn't for the sidewalk sign placed months ago that I stumbled across during a stroll, I would not have known this place existed. It is tucked away on the side of a parking lot off the main road. So unless you're looking for it, one would easily not even realize it exists. This is a very quaint location with the few patio seats with umbrellas situated outside and equally few number of seating spaces inside. Upon arriving, the front ordering counter includes a pastry and a bakery case. There are a number of breakfast and lunch sandwiches and other dishes to order from to go with your handcrafted espresso drink. Prices are average, however, portion sizes are underwhelming when it comes to their menu items. Staff has always been friendly and prompt. With a few dining spaces available both inside and outside, this isn't necessarily a place for large gatherings. It is perfect for a quick catch up with a friend or quick pick up to go. UPDATE: Still 5 stars. My wife went after Pleasanton farmer's market today - just days after I went for first time this week (review below). Got the drink from the Valentine's Day specials board which has rose petals in it. She loved it. I like mine "cold" (not heated) so I can get the bite / toothiness I like out of the chocolate. I got it. There was a cashier-coffee maker and a kitchen person. Later a person who seemed like an owner returned and one of the first things she did was check whether the cashier-coffee maker needed help or not. The lovely, smart, bright, helpful, PERSONABLE coffee maker was not backed up, but I really appreciate this teamwork and emphasis on getting drinks and orders out in a reasonable time. I do not return to places where the workers find ways not to work, or focus inwardly and away from a service focus. Take a look at the specials board to the right as you face the counter. Right now it's in Valentine's Day mode and those themed drinks sounded so DELICIOUS! I'm frugal, I get what I want out of coffee at home. We have an espresso machine, an espresso pods machine, a drip coffee maker, Aero press, French press, a couple Italian cooktop espresso makers, a Turkish coffee maker and a coffee pod machine. In other words, enough variety to not get bored and be economical. But I will 100% return when out and about, and make this a destination as well. And the cookie? Best of the best! Koffee Time has since become my go-to for lunches or caffeine runs. This location used to be Bunso bread; a Filipino bakery that was recently sold and now a Hispanic based bakery. The location may be a little hard to find but it is located with very convenient parking next to True Value Hardware in the middle of downtown Pleasanton. It's a very nice presentation inside with many delectable treats and common and stylish coffees. I only purchased the chocolate, white chocolate filled puff pastry and an americano. I was excited to come across this gem on Yelp! A bit hidden in a parking lot in downtown Pleasanton. I've been here a couple times now. EATS: -torta: (5/5) So good, it's packed, and they're generous w/the avocado portion. Hubby and I both enjoyed it and would get it again. Pro-tip: ask for a side of chiles en vinagre (pickled peppers). -breakfast burrito: (2/5). We liked the torta so much on the first visit, on the next visit, hubby got their breakfast burrito but was not a fan of it :( I noticed it was a bit on the small side, but more importantly, the chorizo flavor wasn't good. Not sure what kind they use. He didn't like the chipotle mayo they use, wasn't for his taste. There was like raw spinach in the burrito. seemed out of place like it didn't go w/the burrito and more like a filler item. the salsa on the side came in a little to-go cup. I get that they need to make a batch ahead of time and refrigerate it, but hubby couldn't pour out the salsa onto his burrito like a traditional salsa. it kinda slid out as a whole piece and held the shape of the to-go cup, almost like a salsa jello. Hubby used a fork to scoop it out. It was just tomatoes and onions, no chiles in it so no heat. I would guess maybe to make it non-spicy for the Pleasanton palate. -burrata toast: (5/5) generous on the burrata, and the pesto and the balsamic glaze were very good. I tried one of their Valentines drinks on the pretty board. It had raspberry, lavender, and vanilla. I got it iced. Lattes are made of espresso but this one was not, so it's not a true latte. I asked and was told it's made with cold brew. so I would change the name to Candy Hearts Cold Brew. It was a bit on the sweet side w/all the syrups. They have indoor and outdoor seating. I wish they had a few more outdoor tables, there was just 2 on the day we went and it seemed nice outside. On our first visit, they weren't that busy so I felt the customer service was better and were able to ask more questions than the following visit, when they were more busy and young kids working up front. I found myself a new spot for Koffee and pastries. I stumbled upon this cafe by accident, tucked away but it's worth the find. Newer looking, clean, indoor seating and outdoor seating available. I had their regular medium roast and an almond croissant. Both good! The ambience is pleasant, sweet, genuine service and I did a speed test on their WiFi and it was at nearly 400Mbps. Great new neighborhood coffee shop located in the heart of downtown Pleasanton. It's got a nice space and the service is really friendly. I only stopped by for a coffee, but they have breakfast and lunch items. I really want to try their breakfast burrito but on my way to meet up with family for lunch. Maybe next time. Based off a recommendation from the folks there, I got the cafe de olla. It was really good coffee and it wasn't too sweet. I saw on IG that this opened this week and the grand opening ribbon cutting was yesterday. Since we were working out in Pleasanton, I thought we would check this out for a post coffee workout. Located in the former Bunso Bakery location, it's across from Ace Hardware in the parking lot. Great service and good coffee. Koffee Time is a new coffee cafe in the bustling downtown Pleasanton. It's located near Inkling's. It has its own parking lot if you can't find any parking on the street. When we stepped inside, I was immediately hit with the smell of delicious food and coffee. Wish we ate here for brunch but will save that for another time! I ordered a mazapan latte which I honestly don't how to describe. It did have some peanuts in it but it was good. My friend got an iced cookie butter latte. This is one of the holiday drinks. They didn't have cold brew so they asked if they can make it with espresso. Turned out to be delicious. I saw a wide array of pastries and a case full of cake slices. I asked the barista if the pastries were from somewhere but she told me they're all made in-house. If I wasn't so full from brunch I would have bought some. I had never been nor even heard of this coffee shop but was happy to see they served food as well as coffee. I initially ordered the avocado toast (looks good) but quickly changed to the burrata toast and man oh man was it a good choice. That burrata toast is the best burrata toast I have ever eaten.
