I usually don't like capers but today they were fine. Croissant was toasted nicely. Service: excellent. A pretty woman greeted us quickly and because it was such a beautiful day, she was coming out to bring our meals and drinks back and forth. She brought us our drinks. My drink was supposed to be with almond milk but I suspected it may have been regular milk. Although I disclose that I rarely order black sesame; it was very very sweet so I ended up not taking a chance and drinking it. I suggested having lunch here today to my friend, and she agreed it had been too long since we had seen Diego and eaten his yummy food. I ordered my favorite lox and cream cheese croissandwich and salad, as did my friend (but with fruit). I was distracted when I paid and received my change. It wasn't until my friend sat down and showed me her receipt. Not $12.50 as stated on the written menu, nor $12.00 as per the overhead digital menu, but $14.00. When asked about the discrepancy, the only worker in the place shrugged and said, "That's what it rings up as." This is completely unacceptable. Diego was not on the premises or we would have dealt directly with him. This really leaves a bad taste in my mouth. If you're going to update and upcharge on your register, do us consumers a favor and update your menus to reveal the true prices. Otherwise, this is just deception. read more

Came here for a quick bite. Parking was quick as there was a lot of street parking around. We came in and there was a bit of a line. As we waited we decided to get a Thai chicken crepe (gluten free) with a roasted red pepper tomato soup. The crepe itself was ok - didn't have as much spiced flavor as we hoped. Stopped here for lunch because the photos did my appetite justice. The result was just an appealing as the pictures and with my twist even more delicious. The restaurant is small but cozy and inviting. They have varying dessert options but their menu as a whole consists of great lunch options to consist of Panini's, Croissant Sandwiches and sweet or savory Crepes. You would be hard pressed not to find one of any of each category that pulls you in. For me the "Bird" Chicken Panini was my lure. It comes with Pepper Jack but they had a Brie option that had me at the word Brie. The bread was perfect, grilled just right, chicken tender and well the Brie was Brie-tiful. Their food is coupled with a salad or fruit. I chose the fruit and the watermelon was delicious. Unlike many of the recent restaurants I have tried for lunch recently they offered the perfect assortment of drink options. Coffee, Teas, sugar free or sweet options. I chose the Blood Orange Sanpellegrino. We dined in and they had some great music at a level that was well suited to enjoying but still being able to converse with friends. The staff were courteous, restaurant clean, reasonable parking options in the surrounding area. All in all a great experience that is most definitely worth the price. Shame on me for not leaving a review after coming here so many times! I love me a cozy hole in the wall with high ceilings and welcoming staff. I'm so happy for them for how busy they are since I came here for the first time when they just opened. They host a lot of fun wine events and breakfast buffets (probably even more variety than I'm aware of), and I need to just pick one and go! We normally come here for our crepe fix given the convenience of its location in downtown Pleasanton. Compared to our visit last year, today we were very pleasantly presented with much larger portions from what we remembered in the past and everything tasted wonderful! The tomato soup was delicious and very creamy. Highly recommend. My partner said the grilled cheese was basic. I also thought the crepe had a good batter, but that it could have been crispier and had a better texture. Also, the cheese wasn't melted and the spinach was still sort of cold. Running some errands in Pleasanton and decided I wasn't going to miss an opportunity to check out Bocado again! Came in on a Friday evening and was quickly greeted by Chef Diego. The first time I got to try Bocado: Un Petit Bistro, it was all in sample form for an event. While I was hoping to try something new this evening, I just couldn't bring myself to do it. The Bello Panini, Flor Ceviche and Estrella Crepe were SO good, that I had to get them again (in full sized orders this time)! The panini has a buttery crunch and the portobello is so perfectly seasoned, with the Serrano and avocado adding the perfect touch. The ceviche had a little more of a citrus/acidic punch this time (maybe a little more than I'd prefer), but it is easily one of my favorite things. It's a vegan ceviche in which cauliflower is used, and the first time I tried it I remember going in with minimal expectations, but it's a definite flavor bomb of goodness! The service was incredibly kind and informative of the many offering they serve. The establishment was clean, and the food came out quick. I absolutely adore bocado. I will definitely drive out of the way to get a delicious crepe from them. My favorite is the lemon and sugar and the Classico crepe . What I also really love is that they have many different types of Crepes and a large variety of menu items. I definitely enjoy all their fun beverages their coffees and iced lattes definitely have lots of caffeine but I especially enjoy their lavender latte and their dirty Rose latte in particular. The owner is super sweet and everyone that works there is a joy to talk to the service is just overall amazing. I hope someday that bocado does expand to the greater San Jose area. I loved my first visit so much, I returned with my husband and 2 friends for brunch. It was their first time coming here but unfortunately the experience this time was different and made me feel a bit embarrassed that I brought them here. First, we came on a weekend and it was incredibly packed outside and inside. A table for 4 outside was not possible since it looked like the max is 3 outside. So inside it was. There was a soccer team of kids inside w/their parents who took up most of the tables and they weren't even eating. I know they are kids but were incredibly loud and rowdy for such a small indoor space. We were able to snag a table for 4 but in the worst spot. The sun was shining directly on my friend's face b/c of the skylight and she was getting hot. She's a patient person but it was too much. We shifted the table left and right and all the ways but still, we couldn't avoid the direct sunlight. We moved our table to another spot and it was better but then the manager (I think) immediately came over to us and in a rude tone told us that we couldn't do that b/c we were blocking the way apparently, even though there was room for people to pass. My friend and I responded that the sunlight from the skylight was hitting her directly in the face and that's why we moved. He said we still couldn't be there. Every table was taken up. We were moved back to the old spot, still my friend getting hit by the sun. Eventually he asked the large soccer group if they could consolidate their tables to free up some space and we moved to a better table. While waiting for our food, I observed the manager only b/c he was talking so loud to the workers that I had to look and see who was talking like that! He seemed upset and flustered w/them, and almost shouting, "what is this drink doing here?!!?" b/c there was some random drink on the counter. I think he was quite unprofessional in his tone and just seemed all over the place. Perhaps it could be b/c it was a busy weekend for them but still, there's ways to handle it and still be professional to your staff. The food was still good this time like the last. I have no complaints there, but obviously, the manager's tone was not what we were expecting. This is such a cute place with friendly people and delicious food. I love the seasonal decorations and will have to come back for their mimosa flights. Unfortunately, it was not a great experience... My salad had some rotten leaves of lettuce, and some of the cut up strawberries were old and starting to go off. I added chicken, and it was as if they took a Costco rotisserie chicken, shredded the mean, and then reheated it after adding a packet of McCormick's taco seasoning. It was OVERLY salty, and generally a very unappetizing addition to the salad. It was also very hot, temp-wise, as if they pulled it from a steam tray or microwave, which is also weird for the salads they offer. It might be nice to offer grilled chicken breast, which would go with any type of salad vs. a slightly spicy, very salty, and overly multi-herb/chili infused topping. My friend ordered one of the galettes and she ended up picking off all the semi-melted and un-melted cheese that she seemed to find inedible. I want to support local business owners, and I understand the impact of rising costs, etc., but I don't know if I will be back for any of the savory items. It's a shame because there are very few places, imo, that serve decent salads - which would be an opportunity for this business if they made a few easy changes. My husband has been here before and liked the sweet crepe he ordered, which is why I was willing to try this place. In addition, I stood at the register waiting to order for several minutes. The workers glanced at me quite a few times, but didn't acknowledge my presence. This cafe was such an awesome find on a Saturday afternoon. They have so many delectable food and drink options to choose from (crepes, paninis, sandwiches, breakfast dishes, coffee, wine, and more). They even have an egg scramble bar on weekends! We got two crepes, the Yorkish with smooth lox salmon, and create-your-own with ham, eggs, and mozarella, both made with quality ingredients and warm and fluffy goodness. I came across "Bocado: Un Petit Bistro" while searching for brunch options in Livermore. Although this place is not in Livermore (it is in Pleasanton) I decided to give it a try because it had such good reviews. I am glad I did. Food was really yumy! I ordered the bello panini, berry delight sweet crepe, and an iced golden milk latte. The bello panini had chipotle mayo sauce that I absolutely loved! The bread was soft but crunchy and fresh. The mushrooms and veggies inside were on point. The berry delight crepe was really delicious, too. It was not super sweet and I believe it had condensed milk drizzled on top. The iced golden latte was not bad either. Initially, my drink was a pale yellow but it didnt taste bad. My friend and I were expecting to see a darker yellow but, like I said, the drink tasted okay. A few minutes into our meal the owner came out to say hello to the customers and check to make sure everything was going okay. He apologized to my friend and me saying that our drinks were not made the way they were supposed to be. He offered to bring us the correct drinks...and he did. The drinks he brought us were so pretty! They had dry rose petals on top and the flavor was more intense. It is a small shop but there were enough tables inside and outside. The place looked very clean and the owner is the one who took our order, so I can tell he is very dedicated to his business. I was able to find parking right in front of the place (3-hour limit parking spot) but there were other options on the street. I would definitely go back for some more :) Yes, it could be a little bit pricey but it is worth it! The crepe was pretty big.
