S'more Crepe
Candice F.

We normally come here for our crepe fix given the convenience of its location in downtown Pleasanton. Compared to our visit last year, today we were very pleasantly presented with much larger portions from what we remembered in the past and everything tasted wonderful! From the s'mores crepe to the chicken pesto crepe and croissant sandwich with side salad, we were so satisfied with our lunch experience. Despite an order for 11 people right before ours, we still got our food in a reasonable amount of time. I only wish that the prices don't seem to go up incrementally each time we return. Otherwise, so glad we came back today!

Shame on me for not leaving a review after coming here so many times! I love me a cozy hole in the wall with high ceilings and welcoming staff. I'm so happy for them for how busy they are since I came here for the first time when they just opened. They host a lot of fun wine events and breakfast buffets (probably even more variety than I'm aware of), and I need to just pick one and go! I have never had a miss here whether it's a sweet or savory crepe, sandwich, cocktail, or coffee. I have taken so many people here so they could also experience Bocado for the first time. You can taste that their food is made with love, and it's one of my default spots downtown.

Bocado is such a cute spot in downtown Pleasanton. We sat outside on the patio--nice setup for smaller groups. Ordered the chicken pesto crepe and the tiramisu crepe--both were amazing. The chicken pesto was super flavorful without being heavy, and the tiramisu crepe tasted like dessert wrapped up in brunch--light, creamy, just the right amount of sweet. Also got the mimosa flight - it was really good, a fun mix of flavors. Coffee was just ok, nothing special. It's partial self served- you place your order at counter and get all cutlery etc on your own. Food is brought to you. Overall, great food and a relaxed vibe--definitely coming back when the crepe craving hits.

The Bird Panini with Brie instead of a pepper-jack, sadly this was after I demolished the other half.

Stopped here for lunch because the photos did my appetite justice. The result was just an appealing as the pictures and with my twist even more delicious. The restaurant is small but cozy and inviting. They have varying dessert options but their menu as a whole consists of great lunch options to consist of Panini's, Croissant Sandwiches and sweet or savory Crepes. You would be hard pressed not to find one of any of each category that pulls you in. For me the "Bird" Chicken Panini was my lure. It comes with Pepper Jack but they had a Brie option that had me at the word Brie. The bread was perfect, grilled just right, chicken tender and well the Brie was Brie-tiful. Their food is coupled with a salad or fruit. I chose the fruit and the watermelon was delicious. Unlike many of the recent restaurants I have tried for lunch recently they offered the perfect assortment of drink options. Coffee, Teas, sugar free or sweet options. I chose the Blood Orange Sanpellegrino. We dined in and they had some great music at a level that was well suited to enjoying but still being able to converse with friends. The staff were courteous, restaurant clean, reasonable parking options in the surrounding area. All in all a great experience that is most definitely worth the price. Recommend this to any foodie worth their weight and will definitely add this to my list of restaurants worth another visit. Especially since I struggle between Crepes and Panini, so Crepes next time.

I prefer this more than Le Palais Sucré. I have beem to both a few times already. First came here for a Yelp Elite event and fell in love! This place the crepe is thinner. Service was attentive and fast. Ambiance was nicely decorated. A small cozy store. Seated comfortably and will come again. Parking was easy, just on the street right outside.

Chicken pesto that came with a side of fresh fruit!

As always this place never disappoints. Recently tried that or paninis (Bello), hands down one of the best veggie sandwiches I have ever had.

Grilled cheese with caramelized onion

Cute spot that seems to specialize in crepes. Unfortunately, I wasnt in the mood for a crepe so I got a cheese panini with caramelized onions and a side of fruit. The fruit tasted processed and was probably from a can or bottle....definitely not fresh. Sandwich had good flavor but wasn't very filling and not sure it's worth the price. I'd come back but only to try the crepes. Also got a strawberry matcha and it was meh...

We came here on a weekend evening and there was a good amount of people in the restaurant. When you get in, you order at the counter and the food is then brought to your table and your plates are also bussed when you are done. My partner ordered one of the specials which was a grilled cheese and tomato soup. I ordered a crepe I created myself with mozzarella, avocado, and some spinach. The tomato soup was delicious and very creamy. Highly recommend. My partner said the grilled cheese was basic. I also thought the crepe had a good batter, but that it could have been crispier and had a better texture. Also, the cheese wasn't melted and the spinach was still sort of cold. Not sure it was cooked as well as it could have been. But overall it was fine. I do also wish there were more vegetarian options. The service was very nice and there is plenty of indoor seating. There is also street parking.

Bello panini (so flavorful!)

Running some errands in Pleasanton and decided I wasn't going to miss an opportunity to check out Bocado again! Came in on a Friday evening and was quickly greeted by Chef Diego. The first time I got to try Bocado: Un Petit Bistro, it was all in sample form for an event. While I was hoping to try something new this evening, I just couldn't bring myself to do it. The Bello Panini, Flor Ceviche and Estrella Crepe were SO good, that I had to get them again (in full sized orders this time)! The panini has a buttery crunch and the portobello is so perfectly seasoned, with the Serrano and avocado adding the perfect touch. The ceviche had a little more of a citrus/acidic punch this time (maybe a little more than I'd prefer), but it is easily one of my favorite things. It's a vegan ceviche in which cauliflower is used, and the first time I tried it I remember going in with minimal expectations, but it's a definite flavor bomb of goodness! The Estrella I ordered to go. Took me a little over an hour to get home, and she traveled perfectly. Perfect dessert to end the evening! It's a good thing I don't live in Pleasanton. I'd be here far too often! Cute little boutique style bistro with several delicious menu options. Don't pass up this not-so-hidden gem!

The food there is amazing! Well priced and really delicious! The crepe was soft, the panini had a savory taste and they have overnight oats that are to die for.

I went to have brunch with family here in the fall of', 24. And why am I coming back months later to write this review? Because I've been absolutely craving going back. Our experience was so great! The service was incredibly kind and informative of the many offering they serve. The establishment was clean, and the food came out quick. We tried several crêpes, both savory and dessert as well as copy, and everything was absolutely perfect. I think, as far as sweet crêpes, go people expect them to be pretty sweet, and although these look extravagant, they also taste very well balanced, and yes, not too sweet, so it's not cloying.) Coffees we tried were also great! You can tell they dial in their coffee (important for espresso drinkers) Overall, great place to go, especially on a farmers market day, where you can have some great food and conversation, and then have a nice walk outside at the market.

Visited for lunch today. Ordered Thai Tofu curry crepe and my colleague ordered pesto tofu crepe. Both were unique as the name suggests and very good in taste. Personally, I wasn't a fan of Thai and French food fusion but the taste was really good - I'll give it to them for creativity. Black sesame latte was good but ask them to make it less sweet (quick tip). Service was quick and the seating inside was spacious.

I had an opportunity to return to enjoy a berry delight crepe. The crepe propelled me to food heaven! Love this place. Highly recommended!

Bocado: Un Petit Bistro Reviews in Other Languages

Ask the Community - Bocado: Un Petit Bistro

Do you have vegan crepes?

Unfortunately, We don't have any vegan crepes as of now. But we have a vegan ceviche, and We can make some of our panini vegan as well.

Do you take reservations?

I don't believe so, as they take orders at the counter. They do bring your order to you, but that is the extent of their table service.

Is there a heater for the outdoor patio?

Hi, yes there is.

Do you have any vegan crepes or sandwiches? I see a vegan ceviche on the menu, but do you have any mains that could be veganized?

We have a number of vegetarian crepes and panini/sandwiches that in most cases can be vegan (request not cheese); our crepe batter is made with eggs though.

Do they have gluten free options (buckwheat batter, GF bread)?

I was in there today and Diego said that he has gluten-free crapes now

A Fantastic Family Brunch Spot in Downtown Pleasanton!…read more Tucked away on a charming side street just off Main Street, Le Palais Sucré is an absolute gem. We stopped by around noon on a Saturday and were thrilled to be seated immediately--which is a massive win for a weekend! Despite getting a table right away, the place had a great energy and was filled with people enjoying their brunch. They have plenty of both indoor and outdoor seating to choose from. The food and drinks completely delivered: * The Chocolate Bonus: My son ordered this, and it was a showstopper. A chocolate crêpe packed with strawberries, bananas, and Nutella, then topped with chocolate syrup and powdered sugar. This was hands-down one of the best crêpes we have ever tasted--absolutely heavenly! * Chorizo Omelette: My wife and I shared this, and it was divine. It was served perfectly warm, cheesy, and loaded with spicy pork chorizo, bell peppers, onions, tomatoes, and pepper jack cheese. * Mushroom Galette: Our second shared item was a savory buckwheat crêpe filled with mozzarella, sautéed mushrooms, and red onions, all topped with a gorgeous sunny-side-up egg. Another really good, flavorful dish. * Ham & Eggs: Ordered by my daughter, this came with a side of home potatoes and garlic toast. It was a solid, decent option that rounded out the table well. The Drinks & Service We ordered a Vanilla Latte and a Caramel Latte. Both arrived extra hot and featured some beautiful art on the foam. The vanilla latte in particular was exceptional--honestly one of the best we've ever had. To top off a wonderful meal, our waitress, Jocelyn, was incredibly nice and attentive throughout our visit. I definitely recommend Le Palais Sucré if you're looking for a fantastic spot for a family brunch or lunch. We will absolutely be back!
