Little touches - fresh flowers throughout the hotel. Bowls of fresh fruit, candies and other treats. Delightful!

Oh, my, yes! Five stars plus!!! We were so lucky to have spent a night here in total comfort and luxury. I hadn't been to Pleasanton in many years. The historic Main Street is so pedestrian friendly. Lots of great dining and local retail. We met friends for dinner at Gay Nineties Pizza Co a long-time neighbor on Main Street and an easy walk from The Rose Hotel. We enjoyed a quiet dinner on the patio - cold brews and pizza a favorite combination. Perfect! When you see The Rose Hotel from the street you'd never guess this Victorian looking building is only 20-something years old. Entering this boutique-style lodging/bed & breakfast inn - you'd think it had been there for many decades. Architecturally no detail has been missed. A small bar in the lobby drew us in. We enjoyed drinks and appetizers as we waited for our room. Included with your room, an expanded continental breakfast served in the lobby and bar is a real showstopper. Our deluxe king room was beyond all expectations. Heated floors in the bathroom - now that's a wonderful touch. When we returned from dinner, we found our bed had been turned down, mints on the pillows. soft music playing, curtains drawn - seriously, just like days before COVID! Thank you so much!!! Linens and towels were also sumptuous. A restful night. It was hard to leave and we will definitely be back. Checking out we asked to speak to the General Manager. We wanted to let someone know how thrilled we were. Given all the amenities the price mid-week was amazing. I'm sure like so many other places, weekends and holidays those prices go up. Again, we will definitely plan a return. BTW - John Madden (of football fame) lived in Pleasanton. His son, Mike, built the38-room Victorian-style Rose Hotel. I'd like to personally thank him. We look forward to our next visit. Trust me - there will be one.

Beautiful Boutique Hotel [Pleasanton CA] Stayed here overnight for a two-day business trip. My work took care of my lodging. What a lovely hotel! The lobby was very inviting with festive holiday decor from the ground floor to the hallways upstairs in the rooms. My room was beautiful and the decor was super cute boutique (a la bed-and-breakfast) style. The King bed was soft and comfortable. Slept like a baby. When I got back to my room from our group dinner last night the curtains were drawn, housekeeping turned down the bed for the evening, and there's room slippers next to my bed along with some items on top: balm, ear plugs and a box of gourmet chocolates... soft soothing music was playing on the Bose music system. Let's get it done! The boardroom we occupied was nice and spacious and accommodated our 12-member group very nicely. The conference room also has its own bathroom inside for convenience. Breakfast was served beginning at 6:00a (I think). The hotel is located in Pleasanton's historic district. Plenty of restaurants (ranging from casual to upscale), coffee houses, galleries and unique shops nearby. Although located on busy Main Street it was a peaceful and quiet evening except for the sound of a train horn. Northwest of downtown Pleasanton is a train station (Pleasanton Station). Super impressed with this hotel. The hotel staff was great! Four miles (10-min drive) to the Livermore Premium Outlets (unfortunately, I didn't get a chance to go as our dinner ran late). Amazing stay last year (10/22/22). Very busy due to a wedding event but great location. DoorDash delivery friendly for enjoying all the delicious food in the area. Beautiful decor with great attention to detail (cute & charming room key design). Comfortable bed+bedding & felt very clean. VERY SPACIOUS Bathroom with a fun & relaxing shower/tub combination, quality tile work & good water pressure. Highly recommend.

Details! It was a real rose!

Decided I needed a little staycation and booked this hotel for a one night stay. This hotel did not disappoint! The decorations were gorgeous and I felt like I was transported back in time. They thought of everything! There were bowls of candy and fruit and snacks like granola bars and hot coffee and tea all day in the lobby. Breakfast was delicious! They had lox and cooked salmon, bagel's, hard boiled eggs, oatmeal, pastries, cereal, yogurt, OJ and cranberry juice, fresh cut fruit, oh my! The room was spacious and beautifully decorated. There were 2 robes in the closet, umbrella, iron and ironing board, fully stocked desk with stationary, notebook, pens, envelope opener. A side table with a kettle to make hot water for tea or coffee! The bed was my favorite! Bed was super comfy and the sheets felt soo good on my skin that I didn't want to leave. The bathroom was gorgeous as well. Had glass jars filled with cotton rounds and q-tips! Bath tub had bath salts! Toilet area had a table with a matchbook and a candle! They really thought or EVERYTHING! Loved my stay here! I needed a relaxing staycation!

Very nice boutique hotel with 34 rooms. Loved it!! It's intentionally old-timey. Every detail is taken care of. The room has a nice desk to work at. They leave a nice chocolate in the room every morning. They even have an aromatic candle in the bathroom. And they have a coffee maker inside the room. It's just about the best hotel I've been at lately!

I stayed for my birthday , and this place is amazing. It's really clean. Candy, cookies, for for the sweet tooth, and a breakfast that gives you smiles.! I could stay for weeks and have everything I need.

Beautiful, charming hotel. I'm so glad we stayed here. Location location!! Rooms are spacious and clean. Parking is not a problem. Staff is friendly. Beautiful Christmas decoration. I will definitely stay here if I go back to Pleasanton.

I appreciated that there were spots just right in front of our room. SERVICE We opted to not receive room service so I can't attest to its quality. However, our check in and check out processes went smoothly. Very quiet, no complaints of noise around us. ROOMS We were upgraded to a two-bedroom suite which was plenty of space for just the two of us. Ours was located on the second floor and I didn't look too hard but there weren't elevators around-- just a heads up for those who might need one. The two rooms and two bathrooms were spacious. The living room had a pull out couch. There was a booth dining table that seats 4 and the desk worked perfectly for my husband who needed to work. Each room also had their own desks. The kitchen was equipped with a stove, microwave, and fridge-- ample for anyone who has to stay for a longer period of time. I always appreciate when hotel rooms have a full body mirror, so thank you for having one. AMENITIES We didn't get to enjoy the pool but we were impressed with the gym! It had 3 treadmills, 1 Peloton, 2 ellipticals, and 1 low bike. They also had medicine balls and dumbbells, but no bench or barbells. Unfortunately, the temperature inside was locked so it got warm pretty fast. BREAKFAST I appreciated their made-to-order omelets on top of their regular continental breakfast which included eggs, bacon, waffles, and fruits. There were plenty of seats in the lobby with TVs around. OVERALL I would definitely stay here again if we were to come back to Pleasanton! Great value for its price.

This hotel is set-up much like a nice apartment complex. Her room was the One Bedroom King Suite. It was very spacious and has everything you may need for a long stay. The bed was comfortable (but lacked in pillows in my opinion). The sofa easily converts into a bed which is nice for having guests over. The kitchen is fully loaded with all the necessary dishes and utensils. The bathroom is a little small but the vanity is huge. The closet is also very spacious. There are large TVs in both the living and bedrooms which is a nice touch. The amenities are great too. There is a basketball/pickleball court, pool, grill, and hot tub outside. It feels very communal. People are always lounging out at the tables and around the pool. There are also fire pits to relax at. There is a nice gym, market, and small lobby bar. There is also complementary breakfast every morning (which is actually very good). They offer omelets made fresh to order with other items that rotate daily. The staff were all very friendly and accommodating! One thing I did notice is that after a while, even with the constant room service and a clean room, the room develops a little bit of a stale smell. Unfortunately, the windows don't open, but if you leave the door open, it will air out. I would definitely recommend staying here!

The bed was very comfortable and there are sound machines in the rooms - every hotel should have these! The room had everything I needed including an iron, blow dryer and fridge. The ice machine offered pebble ice, water, and then ice and water which I thought was pretty unique. The hotel gym was small but had a peloton bike which I'd never used before. I didn't get a chance to use the pool but it looked very inviting. The only aspect of the hotel I did not love was the surrounding area - there isn't much to do within walking distance of the hotel. It is very safe and quiet however. Shout out to the woman working the front desk overnight Aug 2-3 who saved me when I did not have a tampon at 2:30am. Overall I had a great experience at AC Hotel - Pleasanton and recommend it!

A Frenchly Honest review, as told by MaisOui Le Frenchy. One…read moredoes not survive decades of hospitality across Europe -- from the zinc bars of Paris to the grand salons of Vienna -- without developing a finely tuned instinct for the unwelcome. A particular chill in the air. A look that communicates: you may exist, but you need not exist here. I had always assumed this gift belonged exclusively to the Parisian waiter -- perfected over centuries, practically a protected cultural institution. And then I met the bartender at AC Hotel Pleasanton. What she accomplished through a single look, a studied posture, and whatever words she deployed in lieu of a greeting was, objectively, extraordinary. I -- MaisOui Le Frenchy, a man who has approached bars on three continents without once questioning his right to be there -- found myself thinking: what did I do wrong? This is not a sensation I know well. It is also not a sensation any guest should ever know. I did not order a drink. The communication had already been made perfectly clear. The room, for its part, arrived with its own atmosphere: a large, mysterious smear on the exterior of the bathroom door, trailing downward in long dramatic streaks, as though whatever was responsible had made a desperate and unsuccessful bid for freedom. I did not touch it. I did not investigate. One night does not require a formal inquiry. Which is what makes all of this so particularly frustrating. Because the hotel itself is genuinely good. The room is well-appointed, spacious enough to breathe, and the design has been executed with care. The lamps by the pool, in particular, are a small but considered touch -- the kind of detail that signals someone, somewhere, actually thought about the experience. For the business traveler who has suffered through the beige indignities of lesser roadside accommodations -- and I have, more than I care to recount -- this is a meaningful step up. It is worth noting -- and fairness demands that I note it -- that the manager, upon being made aware of the evening's highlights, was gracious, competent, and genuinely concerned. She is, without question, working above her surroundings. The bones are good. The execution, on two particular fronts, was not. Three stars reflects precisely that arithmetic: a four-star property undone by a bartender who should not be facing guests, and a bathroom door that should have been faced by housekeeping. Fix those two things, and this review writes itself differently.
