Great find on our way home. About a mile and a half off the highway. A bit hidden in shopping center, but look for white umbrellas. Ordering is done at the counter and food is brought to your table. On a Monday, late morning, there was a line outside the door, but it moved quickly. Food took a bit longer to come out, but everything was hot and fresh....very enjoyable. The most ideal seating is on the patio... to me it makes the whole experience even cozier. Service was kind and the food came out surprisingly quick. Super cute breakfast spot! Went on a Friday morning before 9 and there were seats but later it got pretty packed. Tried the grits with egg and the mochi pancake sandwich with the sausage. Both were good, but I'd say the grits were the best tasting option it was super rich and cheesy. The ginger bread latte was decent, basically a latte but with cinnamon. They had a whole display of hot sauces to pick from and I actually really liked their house made hot sauce it wasn't super spicy but had nice fresh flavor. Went here for a weekday lunch. My goodness, they're busy! We haven't been here in a while. The "new" location is modern and very cute! Love it! We sat at a communal table until a small table opened up. Our coffee arrived very quickly. I got an oat latte with a beautiful design on it. It was great, lots of flavor, pretty smooth. DH's cappuccino was also great, but he has been spoiled by an incredible coffee place when we were on vacation, so he thought it was kind of bitter. I got the turkey pesto sandwich again, which was delicious. It's very thick, so I ate one layer at a time. Their bread is so yummy! The side salad was fresh and I loved the tangy vinaigrette. DH got a BLTE with tomato soup. How do they get the soup so creamy, lol! We ate everything, no leftovers, and were totally full. It was almost $50 before tax and tip. This is one of our favorite brunch spots. Even if you study the menu ahead of time, they always have seasonal specials that you must check out. You order at the counter and then find a table. When the weather is nice, they have outdoor seating in the front and the back. We like the secluded area in the back, away from the traffic. They bring your food out to you. Water and coffee refills are self serve at a station by the door. The seating area inside gets kind of loud. That's expected since it's so popular. But you can still have a conversation at your table. We've tried quite a few things here (some photos attached). My favorite is The Nordic Toastini, Acme whole wheat sourdough toast with goat cheese, arugula, tomato, salmon, and a perfectly soft boiled egg. They also make wonderful baked goods. The only downside was the bottom slice of bread was a bit soggy by the time it got to us. It also came with a side salad that had a fantastic dressing--tasted like a balsamic vinaigrette. Very tasty and balanced the richness of the sandwich nicely. * The Nordic: Smoked salmon, organic pastured egg, goat cheese, arugula, tomato, chives, and a bit of lemon and olive oil. It was fine, but not a standout for us--probably wouldn't order it again. For dessert, we had the Coffee Pecan Bread Pudding--a nice end to the meal.
