I'm thrown back into nostalgia with the crepes a go go on Telegraph back in 2015. This was a staple during my undergraduate. I was super excited to see that it re-opened. I came with a friend and we decided to split one savory and one sweet crepe. The guy was extremely kind and even offered to cut each crepe in half for us. There are two small tables inside and we sat there while he made the crepes. When it was done, he brought them over to us with two pairs of utensils on each plate. He told us to enjoy our food first and to pay after we were done. The crepes were so delicious. I prefer crepes to have a little bit of crisp and these did the job. For the savory, we got the spinach, mushroom, cheese and added smoked turkey. For the sweet, we went with a classic strawberry banana and Nutella. I loved the extra touch of two Nutella dipped strawberries! I will definitely be back again. There are plenty of other items I want to try. All around was an excellent experience.

(5 out of 5) The best crepes you'll ever have, been coming here since I'm young and I'll always come back, best sweet and best savory crepes! Service is great, amazing hospitality and it's a family owned buisness, this location in Berkeley is new, his father runs the Crepes A Go Go in North Beach SF. If you're in the mood for a sweet treat or for a savory snack, this is a must try! When you come tell them Rothyy sent you!

I've been looking for a crepe spot in this area forever, didn't love that I had to wait until the Saturday farmers market or get the overpriced ones from Crepe Vine. Was so excited to walk by a few weeks ago and see this spot open. I have now been here multiple times and planning on coming back regularly (only took a single photo in the car last time before I ate the whole thing, so had to remember to get a cute pic today). High quality crepes and the service is consistent. The owner/crepe chef seems really sweet, always very welcoming. Last time we went a couple in front of us got vegan crepes - so if that's what you're looking for, they have it! Hope this spot is here to stay. Keep up the great work!

BEST CREPES IN THE BAY AREA! I don't review until I've been to a place a few times as I believe in consistency. This place right here is the best crepes in the Bay no kidding! Amazing customer service as well. I am always greeted with a smile and I always feel welcome. No need to go anywhere else.

The lady at the counter was super nice and personable. She was easy to talk to and friendly. She asked if we wanted our treats warmed up but since I was taking mine home, she recommended to heat it up for 45 seconds at home. Thank you!! I ordered: * black sesame mochi muffin - nice chew, great sesame flavor, and not too sweet * churro mochi muffin - covered in cinnamon sugar, so good. Great texture as well. * banana bread pudding - looks so ooey and gooey! I took an edge piece because I like the chewy crispy texture. Love to return when I'm back in the area.

The bakery itself seems to mainly be a takeout spot, with minimal indoor seating which felt pretty inconvenient given the limited space for customers, however it did seem to serve more of a purpose as a waiting area anyways. The structure of the bakery leaves a bit to be desired as well, as we found the glass display cases as the only form of menu, so being in the front of the line while still deciding what to order caused some unnecessary anxiety. Regardless of those nitpicks, the baked goods themselves were pretty good! Service was instant, and all of the treats looked delicious--it was hard to choose what we wanted! Our favorites were the Thai Tea and Ube Coconut Mochi Donuts. Both had really strong flavors--the Ube in particular was very clear in comparison to most other Ube desserts in my experience. The textures of the mochi donuts were really well done too, with soft exteriors and chewy, glutinous interiors. The same can be said about the Mochi Muffins, though with crunchier parts around the edges. We found the contrast of textures to actually work really well! However, the flavors of the Muffins were lacking a bit--the Red Velvet didn't stand out much, with the frosting tasting a bit too sweet, and while the Five Spice had a really interesting flavor, it was also a bit too sweet, drowning out the more unique citrusy flavor. Overall, however, all four of the goods we had were enjoyable eats, and would definitely return some time to try out other flavors!

We had been to Tarocco for lunch and figured we would ask them for a quote, too. My daughter warned me that the owner is trying to be an "influencer" on Instagram and posts photos of herself in crop Tops so I should beware, but that's fine by me. We called to get a quote and had a discussion. After we gave the owner all of our information, she told us she wouldn't give us a quote unless we came in person (?!) Which is weird because this isn't how restaurants work. Typically for events restaurants will give you a quote via phone or email for the sake of convenience. We had gotten 3 quotes already from other restaurants via phone. Making us drive 45 mins just to get a quote is a total waste of time. Especially if we can't afford it. So my daughter called again, left a VM explaining we couldn't come in person due to time constraints, and again asked for a quote. No reply. We waited a few days and called again. No reply. Finally we got a voicemail from the owner saying that she didn't like my daughter's attitude ?!!! Apparently you're not allowed to ask this restaurant how much they charge for events unless you're face to face. This lady has absolutely no idea how to run a restaurant. We took our business elsewhere and recommend that you do, too.

I liked the little alcove in the back. Felt like being in someone's house. Service was lovely. Our server was attentive and so pleasant. She asked us if we'd been here before. We hadn't so she explained their menu and told us about their specials. Everything sounded so interesting, we wanted to order them all or wished we had more in our party of 2 so we can share all the dishes. We started with Nam Tao Hu which is a warm mug of lightly sweetened soy milk with seeds and beans. They describe it like a hug from mom, and that's exactly how you would explain how comforting this drink was. We ordered: Grilled Pork Jowl - OMG!! I think I died and went to heaven! First of all, it was plated beautifully!! The egg was perfection! How did they season the scrambled egg to be so flavorful? And the pork jowls? Grilled and cooked so well. This must be a local favorite! Special Dish: Game Hen - This was amazing! The hen was marinated in Thai spices then steamed for a couple hours. The chicken was moist and tender. The jus was flavorful and is then poured over the chicken. I can't stop thinking about it. It didn't come with rice but this would be best served with some rice. I would love to return and try more dishes. This place is a gem!

What could have been improved: I do wish the special came with rice since it's saucy and most of the entrees come with rice (they were clear about this so I wasn't surprised). A friend doesn't love peanuts and the fried rice has peanuts mixed in already. We had to ask the servers a few times for boxes and bags. They gave the same box for all the foods so our saucy dishes soaked through the box.

It's also one of those places that makes you want to stay. The food is consistently fresh, flavorful, and generous. Every time I come here, I tell myself I'll pace myself... and every time I fail because it's just that good. The burgers are loaded and perfectly balanced, the fries are always crisp (never soggy, which is rare), and everything tastes high-quality and made to order. You have to try the chicken and waffles. The waffle batter tastes homemade and the butter takes it to another level... it's one of those dishes you keep thinking about after. I'll even DoorDash it all the way to Jingletown. The patio setup is really well done... there's a mix of larger tables for groups and higher bar-style seating for smaller hangs. The wooden furniture and cushioned benches make it comfortable, and they've got heaters for colder days and umbrellas when it's sunny, so you can usually pick your ideal spot. You order at the window and then just hang out while you wait... it's a relaxed flow and the food comes out pretty quickly. The food always looked really good, but for whatever reason I always ended up ordering from somewhere else. Well, I finally did it. I finally ordered from Cali Alley, and all I have to say is, why did I wait so darn long? Door Dash was having a 2-for-1 deal on the Cali Alley Burger, so I ordered one of those (and got another for free) , as well as on the small mac and cheese, so I ended up with two of those as well. I got fries as he side for the burgers and saved the second burger and mac and cheese for the next day. I also bought a small side of veggie fried rice for lunch later in the week. OK, let's start with the fries ... wow. Super crispy. Don't know what they do to them, but I think I almost ate all the fries that came with one of the burgers before I even touched the burger. The fries seemed to have a coating like some fries do to make them extra crispy on the outside. Whatever it was, it made them so good, I couldn't stop eating them. I was almost too full for the burger. But who are we kidding? If there is one thing I am good at, it is eating more than I should. The burger, which is described on Door Dash as "char grilled, fresh ground brisket and short rib burger, served on a toasted brioche fun with crisp lettuce, tomato onion marmalade and garlic aioli" was thick and incredibly flavorful. I couldn't stop eating that, either. It was that good. I ordered it medium, and it was pretty pink, but it was sooooooo flavorful, and all the toppings worked well together. I didn't get any cheese on it because I wanted to try to burger by itself and not mask it with cheese. I might try adding cheese next time, but honestly the burger is so good, I almost wouldn't want to cover up its flavor with cheese. Oh, I almost forgot. When you order on Door Dash, you can opt to have them include a small side of their chocolate-chipotle bbq sauce, and I highly recommend that you get it. It's a really interesting flavor and is good for dipping the fries in. I didn't try putting it on the burger, but that might be good, too. The mac and cheese was OK. It's important to note that I enjoyed the flavor but it is more of an eggy consistency than a saucy mac and cheese if that makes sense. It has a nice kick of black pepper, which I liked, though. The vegetarian fried rice was also fine but could have used a little salt. All that to say, don't be like me and procrastinate, get the Cali Alley Burger and fries ASAP.
