The Chicken Pesto Crepe was absolutely delicious and what made them even better were their homemade potatoes, perfectly seasoned and also their texture was great. Once we got tired of eating salty, we switched to the Coconut French Toast and it was also very tasty; the coconut flakes were such a great addition to something so standard. After spending $107.00, I left feeling disgusted -- and this was a place recommended by a client. The food had absolutely no flavor. How corned beef hash can be that dry, even smothered in a pound of onions and peppers, is beyond me. The eggs were cooked perfectly -- I'll give them that. The server suggested the pancakes, which were as hard as three-day-old bread. When we asked for more jam -- because I only wanted the English muffins -- the server actually questioned us about it. I had the Del Mar crepe, which is stuffed with crab cakes, baby spinach, avocado, Havarti cheese, and caramelized onions, then topped with hollandaise and served with breakfast potatoes. No I didn't say anything to the waitress she already seemed irritated that my friend sent her Irish coffee back. What a wonderful little spot! We came here for my man's birthday brunch. We arrived around 4:00 and were seated immediately. Our server was very friendly and attentive. I had recently had a surgery on my esophagus and was still being very careful not to eat anything that might scratch going down, so I wasn't able to order what I originally wanted (the house made corned beef hash) but I saw the lemon ricotta pancakes on the special board and was pleasantly surprised with how delicious they were. Went to visit my UC Berk freshman and we went in for a late breakfast at Cafe M! First off let me say the parking is absolutely terrible and very limited. But, we were seated right away, which was great! They also had a few seats for outdoor dining which I love in good weather. I came here a couple of times and overall the experience is okay. They do have pitchers and bottomless mimosas which is great. Food wise it's also okay but the portions are on the much smaller side. Their house potato is unique in that it's shaved thinly. Wasn't very savory though. It's always pretty packed here and there is a rush to somehow eat and leave immediately. You know the stuffed french toast is good when the waitress goes around the table asking for everyone's orders, and everyone orders the exact same thing. Seriously, it's the best french toast I've ever had. The fruit and cinnamon and syrup and mascarpone all just come together perfectly. It is pretty sweet, so I'd recommend ordering a savory side (like the potatoes) to balance it out. I talked him out of ordering the Basic Breakfast because at $22 for it, I thought he should try something different. When our food arrived, it was a hefty portion. The scrambler was great, tasted just as it was described and the ingredient combination was great. I had a side of fruit with it which was also good. My husband enjoyed his omelet but was not a fan of the hollandaise sauce on top. I don't think he saw it on the menu and if he did most likely would have asked not to have it.
