Found this place with some friends on a Monday morning and it was so good I can't wait to go back! When we arrived there was a slight line out the door and throughout our entire meal maintained a line through the doors. The inside is a bit smaller but very well maintained and decorated so cute. They were very busy but with good reason everything was amazing. Everyone in our group ordered something different so we could get a feel for the variety they offered and everyone enjoyed their meals so much the table was quiet. Service was a tad bit long and we were surprised since it was Monday morning but now we understand why. It is locally owned so please be patient with wait time as it is a smaller staff but the wait is beyond worth it. We recently celebrated my abuelita's 83rd birthday here, and it was such a wonderful experience. The restaurant is beautiful, open, and aesthetically pleasing. The service was friendly and attentive, and our food came out surprisingly fast. Every dish we ordered was not only beautifully presented but also absolutely delicious. It's rare to find a place where the food looks this good and actually tastes just as amazing. We had a great time celebrating with family, and the atmosphere made the occasion feel extra special. A cute brunch spot on Solano with a menu that makes you want to come back and try more. Went today with Face for breakfast after wanting to try this place since Monday. Luckily there was no line and we were seated immediately. I ordered the Carb Platter, which came with French toast, a croffle, waffle, fruit, berries, a creamy dipping sauce, and a side of bacon. The French toast was definitely the standout for me -- really flavorful and well done. The waffle had a nice crisp texture, and the croffle was buttery with good flavor as well. The bacon unfortunately missed the mark. It was very limp and chewy instead of crispy, almost like it had been boiled rather than cooked properly. Face ordered the California Omelette, which came with potatoes topped with a garlic pesto situation that was honestly really good. For drinks, I had the caramel latte, which was decent but could've used a little more sweetness. Face ordered the strawberry matcha latte, which had an adorable bear-shaped matcha ice cube on top -- super cute presentation -- though she also felt it could've used a bit more strawberry flavor and sweetness. Overall, definitely a place I'd come back to because there were several other things on the menu I'd like to try. Street parking only and metered, so plan ahead a little. Adorable dishes that cater to a variety of palates. This was my second visit but first with teens who enjoyed the Hawaii ish aesthetic. Prices are reasonable for good sized portions. Staff was kind, prompt. Checked on us appropriately without being intrusive and vice versa. Plenty of parking including meter and street. Portions are HUGE! It's a tiny little spot but be warned there is a bit of stairs to get to the entrance but overall a lovely spot .. it does get crowded but that's because of how fantastic the food was. I asked the waitress, "is it too early to order spam fried rice?" Nope, let's order it! This little eatery on Solano offers nice breakfast dishes with dome Asian influences on the menu. My spam fried rice was huge with two beautiful fried eggs on top. I needed to crunch up the nori pieces to add some flavor to my liking. Hubby ordered coffee and the two eggs medium with bacon breakfast. The bacon wasn't crispy, wondering if we needed to ask for "crispy." I enjoyed the restaurant with its wall mural of San Francisco where there is possibly another O2 Eatery? It was a pleasant breakfast but I wonder if there might be more bold tastes on the menu? Is the food mildly flavored because of the nice neighborhood it is located in? I will go again to try something else and see if I can answer my own question. read more

A solid breakfast/brunch choice on Solano Ave with a lot of seating suitable for small and big groups. There's only street parking so you might have to circle a few times to find a spot. We waited about 15min to be seated. The Garden Scramble and Meat Lovers' Scramble both came with an Acme toast slice and very well seasoned potatoes that had a green sauce that gave them a perfect touch. We didn't like that the avocado in the Garden Scramble was mixed in the scramble instead of put as a topping. The Meat Lovers' Scramble was our favorite for a good balance of meats and veggies, which didn't make it too heavy of a dish. The Spam Fried Rice was also one of our favorites! The sweet potatoes and spam was not a combo we knew we needed in our fried rice but it was delicious! The eggs over it and seaweed on the side brought it all together. We finished with the Carb Sampler. A sample of their French toast, waffle, and croffle topped with fruit and a house made whipped cream. The French toast was the winner of the three for its fluffiness. We didn't think the grapes on the croffle was a good combo, but the croffle itself was really good. Although the staff was really nice, the service was lacking all around. We saw a lot of people around us also trying to flag down a server. We waited some time to get utensils at the beginning of our meal and then again at the end to get our bill. They only checked on us once so they weren't as attentive. read more

This is our family's favorite brunch spot since we first went last fall. The quality of food is very good and the presentation is exceptional. They really go out of their way to make their food beautiful. What a cute restaurant concept! This place gets really busy so you might need to wait a bit for a table to open up. I decided to order the champions bowl, which came with chicken apple sausage, potatoes, cheese, over easy eggs, and toast over a bed of salad. I was skeptical about all these ingredients working well together, but it most certainly did. The plate was both light and filling at the same time, and very delicious, especially when I got a nice bite of cheesy potatoes. If you come here, you must get one of their drinks. I got the iced matcha latter and my daughter got a kids hot chocolate. Both come with a super detailed bear ice cube. The matcha latte is a matcha ice cub bear and the hot chocolate is a chocolate iced bear. The idea is that as you sip your drink and the normal ice cubes melt, your drink won't be diluted because you also have more of the drink flavor blending in at the same time. For the hot chocolate, the bear helped to cool down the overall drink which made it a perfect sipping temperature for my 3 year old. Overall, great brunch spot, would highly recommend! read more

The ambiance is nice, though seating is limited indoors and there's no outdoor seating. When we arrived, the restaurant was pretty full, but we didn't have to wait for a table. The art and decorations are beautiful, and the women's restroom was clean. Parking was definitely a challenge on a Friday at 12 PM since the area is busy overall. There's no designated customer parking--only street parking that you must pay for. We were able to find a spot after looping around a couple of times. 10/10 -- I strongly recommend this amazing breakfast/brunch spot! I'll definitely be back to try more dishes. read more

First off, this place is a wonderful addition to the Solano Ave community and I'm so happy to see it thriving! When we have gone there is usually a little wait. Took a little while for someone to approach us so we went to the back register to ask for help. The waiters, once helped, are really nice and welcoming. The chicken and waffles were great and took my friend a few days to finish-- the portions are great! I had the ribeye bento. The ingredients taste and look so fresh. I loved seeing SPAM on the menu because it's rare to see places include it in dishes. So had to order the SPAM fried rice. The food and drinks that we saw around us were all so colorful. Loved the space and so many cute places nearby to check out while waiting, as there's usually a line. I'll definitely be back. read more

Second time eating here over the holidays and was so excited to come back and see the new additions to the menu, as well as the adorable drink options (see photos). We came for brunch and I ordered a Chicken Caesar Wrap (comes with fries), and my mom ordered the Eggs Any Style (served with a protein choice of bacon or sausage + served with potatoes + toast). We also ordered a table waffle with berries/whip cream so the kiddo could enjoy some O2 Eatery magic too. The portion sizes are incredibly hearty! The Chicken Caesar Wrap comes with Swiss cheese, avo, slices of chicken breast, Romaine lettuce, Caesar dressing, and croutons. For $17 this could be saved for your lunch/dinner later in the day too! As a huge advocate for avocados in everything (haha), I appreciate wraps that come with avo already. So delicious, fresh, and comforting. Fun presentations and just really, really, good food. My mom absolutely loved her plate, and the kiddo left no whip cream reminders behind. Drink-wise, I had to try the frozen matcha bear! I ordered a strawberry matcha latte that came with the most adorable topper that not only is picture-worthy, but also is functional ~ the bear melts into extra matcha for your cup! O2 also has a dinner menu featuring sushi, udon & ramen, bowls, and more. Service is quick and super friendly. (Thank you for the pre-meal sliced fruit for the kiddo!) As new parents, we found it surprisingly hard to find a baby-friendly brunch place that has indoor seating with wide isles to accommodate a stroller. Fortunately, we stumbled upon this gem of an establishment while browsing through Yelp. Located higher up on Solano on the Berkeley side, parking is available directly on Solano. However, if you are having trouble finding a spot, I recommend pulling into one of the residential side streets to find parking. Service here is very friendly, however it took a bit to get seated despite some open tables. O2 Eatery has a fusion menu. So in addition to the typical American breakfast/brunch fare, you'll also find some Hawaiian and Japanese lunch/dinner entrées as well (ramen, spam fried rice, bento boxes). As a big boba fan, I was excited to see they had boba on the menu. I can get a bit picky with my boba, but thankfully O2's boba was made with fresh ingredients and came with a generous amount of soft, chewy boba. My wife went with the French toast, which consisted of 3 thick slices of toast topped with fresh fruit and a side of syrup. I opted for the Meat Lovers Scramble. Consisting of scrambled eggs, bacon, sausages, red onion, spinach, mushrooms, bell peppers, tomatoes, and jack cheese, with a slice of toast and a hearty side of potatoes, it was both filling and delicious. Good enough to properly scratch the Benedict itch and at least matched the price as a result. I went with the roasted potato side and that was very nicely seasoned making it top tier when compared to every other potato side I've ordered at dozens of breakfast/brunch joints. My sister went with a non-standard fruit substitution and found it pleasant with everything tasting "in season". Surprisingly, we both felt fuller than we typically do eating Benedict's. Came in on a Monday afternoon for a late brunch. Took a while to be served, but I can understand that it was busy, so no real issue there. I'm posting this a little late, but this was around late August. The reason why I'm giving it a low rating is because I unfortunately had an experience that made me hesitant about my food quality. I went to use the restroom and noticed that one of the servers did not wash their hands after exiting the restroom. Even though they were not a cook, they were still handing out the food and it made me a bit disgusted. This made me not want to finish my meal that actually tasted great! Everything was quite tasty...so I'm incredibly disappointed that I saw that, but also glad that I did, because that is not okay! We came for brunch on a Saturday so there was a wait but things moved pretty quickly and we were seated within 15-20 minutes of putting our name down. We ordered the meat scramble with gluten free bread , chicken and waffles, and the smokey bacon benedict as well as 3 iced coffees. All the iced drinks come with a cute iced bear which added such a cute touch. The food was really good. I like that they use Mariposa Bakery GF bread and I like how perfectly cooked the fried chicken was in the chicken and waffles. The eggs benedict was also really good. I liked that they added avocado to it and that they put the perfect amount of hollandaise sauce. Service was good and the staff were really nice and accommodating. This place is one of our favorite breakfast spots. We've been coming here more regularly and each time we come it's gotten more popular. Their food is excellent. I have not gotten anything I didn't like. My husband loves their potatoes. Their service is excellent but I think sometimes they are a bit short handed. The restaurant itself is bright and vibrant. The noise level is excellent. With a full house I'm still able to carry on a conversation without having to shout. One of my favorite item here is the Garden Scramble but I decided to try something different. The chicken and waffles was really good. My one suggestion is that maybe putting a waitlist table/stand at the entrance of the restaurant. It was quite busy today and a bit chaotic when trying to get on a list for a table. read more

One of our friends had been here before and suggested that we would all enjoy it. And she was correct! Service was okay albeit a bit slower that I would have liked. We had a table for seven reserved. One person was not able to join us, so it was just the six of us. We were quickly seated, menus presented, and glasses of water handed out. Then we were left alone for at least ten minutes before a server came back to take our orders. The food came out relatively close together. Not something that's always easy to do when it's a larger table. All of the dishes looked quite robust except for my Carb Sampler (which was not small either). Four people ended up taking home leftovers to enjoy later. For my Carb Sampler, I would give it 3 out of 5. It looked good but I can't say that I enjoyed the Croffle. Especially since I ate it last. The best was the waffle. The French Toast needed more egg. To me, the most enjoyable components of a croissant are the flakey crust and the airy center. Flattening a perfectly good croissant in a waffle iron destroys those two components. Don't be a hater, just my opinion. Would I dine here again? If in the area, yes. read more

I read so much about the chimichurri that they put on their potatoes, but I barely got any. A few tiny dollops covered some potatoes and the vast majority I ate dry or with ketchup. The matcha latte was good and the matcha ice cube bear was unique. The matcha bear won't melt fast enough to be able to mix into the drink before I finished it. Service was very poor. We were constantly out of water trying to flag someone down and when we did, they would forget. We received a different table's drink order which we didn't touch and sent back. Waited in the doorway for about 20 minutes before anyone acknowledged us. Even just a quick "we'll be right with you" would've helped. It was busy, so not a huge deal, but we eventually had to walk over to the bar ourselves and were pointed to a random seat, despite several open tables. I get that restaurants get backed up, but some communication would've gone a long way. At 3pm on a Sunday, the wait felt a bit excessive. The bigger issue is that the whole place feels stuck in an awkward in-between. It's not casual enough to be a laid-back diner, but not elevated enough to justify the pricing or the wait. The food reflected that too, nothing terrible, just very forgettable. The fried chicken was mid, and overall nothing really stood out. The drinks were cute, but didn't deliver much on flavor. It ends up feeling like diner-level food with restaurant-level expectations, without fully committing to either. I visited here for lunch. Scanning around at what other people were eating I noticed a lot of people eating the burger. I ended up ordering the chicken caesar wrap. The wrap was good. It had good amounts of chicken breast, lettuce, avocado, and dressing. I was really impressed by the fries that came with it. It was crunchy and salted well.
