This was my first visit with my entire family and all I can say is this place did not disappoint. From the server to the food everyone was so nice and the food was 10/10 . The inside of the restaurant is quite charming offering a pleasant atmosphere I will definitely be back soon.
Came here for brunch. We ordered the Smokey Salmon Benny and Omega Bowl. The Smokey Salmon Benny was good. Loved the combo of smoked salmon with Hollandaise sauce. The eggs tasted great and the avocado was creamy. The English muffin was toasted well. The salad was great with the Italian dressing. Great brunch option. The Omega Bowl was good, too. Big portion size. Excellent mix of veggies with the grilled salmon. There was cucumber, edamame, tomatoes, avocado, arugula, spinach, and lettuce. The quinoa was delicious. The sweet potatoes tasted great. Loved the sesame dressing. Tasty and healthy is an excellent combination. We ended the meal with their boba drinks: Passion Fruit Green Tea with Boba and Honey Citron Kumquat Green Tea with Lychee Jelly. The Passion Fruit Green Tea was sweet and a little bit tart. Great balance of flavors and the boba were nice and chewy. The Honey Citron Kumquat Green Tea was refreshing. The Kumquat flavor mixed well with the green tea and the lychee jelly gave it a great texture. Service was great. Very efficient and friendly staff. Did not have to wait too long for our food to arrive. Great vibes in Berkeley. Glad to have stopped here for brunch.
Found this place with some friends on a Monday morning and it was so good I can't wait to go back! When we arrived there was a slight line out the door and throughout our entire meal maintained a line through the doors. The inside is a bit smaller but very well maintained and decorated so cute. They were very busy but with good reason everything was amazing. Everyone in our group ordered something different so we could get a feel for the variety they offered and everyone enjoyed their meals so much the table was quiet. Service was a tad bit long and we were surprised since it was Monday morning but now we understand why. It is locally owned so please be patient with wait time as it is a smaller staff but the wait is beyond worth it. Even though I don't live in Berkeley this will easily be a go to spot any time in the area.
A cute brunch spot on Solano with a menu that makes you want to come back and try more. Went today with Face for breakfast after wanting to try this place since Monday. Luckily there was no line and we were seated immediately. I ordered the Carb Platter, which came with French toast, a croffle, waffle, fruit, berries, a creamy dipping sauce, and a side of bacon. The French toast was definitely the standout for me -- really flavorful and well done. The waffle had a nice crisp texture, and the croffle was buttery with good flavor as well. The bacon unfortunately missed the mark. It was very limp and chewy instead of crispy, almost like it had been boiled rather than cooked properly. Face ordered the California Omelette, which came with potatoes topped with a garlic pesto situation that was honestly really good. For drinks, I had the caramel latte, which was decent but could've used a little more sweetness. Face ordered the strawberry matcha latte, which had an adorable bear-shaped matcha ice cube on top -- super cute presentation -- though she also felt it could've used a bit more strawberry flavor and sweetness. Overall, definitely a place I'd come back to because there were several other things on the menu I'd like to try. Street parking only and metered, so plan ahead a little. Also realized this is where the old pastrami spot used to be -- RIP
My friends and I were very excited to try this spot, but it unfortunately missed the mark. The interior was cute and the potatoes were not bad, but the service was quite disappointing. We all wanted to get the strawberry matcha for their iconic cute bear on top, but they ended up not having it. What made it even worse was that they didn't bother telling us until after we received our drinks. They also gave us boba straws, and when we asked for regular white straws (which we saw being given to other tables), they told us to keep what we had because our drinks contained strawberry. They even took away our utensils while we were waiting for our food, and we had to wait a good 10 minutes after the food arrived just to flag someone down and get them back. Honestly, our list of grievances went on, but it was not great, to say the least. I'm not one to bash service, and I understand when a place is busy, but their overall attitude could have been much better. The wait was around 30 minutes to get a table at 12:45 PM. The strawberry matcha was very sweet and tasted like artificial green tea ice cream. I ordered the garden scramble, which was just okay--I could honestly make a better one at home. Overall, I don't think I would recommend this spot.
We came on a random afternoon - and got lucky with a table right away! Almost immediately after, the place started filling up. Definitely a great new addition to the community. Staff was kind, prompt. Checked on us appropriately without being intrusive and vice versa. Plenty of parking including meter and street. Portions are HUGE! The star of the show was the carb sampler (and the side of potatoes dare i say). And don't skip out on the coffee/ other drinks. Otherwise, definitely a good (but not amazing) brunch. Still would come back. Plenty of space to catch up with a friend. Clean.

Everything tasted great and had lots of flavor. We definitely plan on coming back! The only reason I wouldn't give the experience a full 5 stars was the customer service. Since it was our first time, I asked our waitress for recommendations and her opinion on a few menu options, but the response was mostly just that "everything is good." She wasn't rude at all, but I was hoping for a little more guidance, and the interaction felt a bit rushed. She may have just been busy, so I completely understand! Overall, the food was delicious, and we will definitely be back to try different food options off of the menu.
Found a little gem on Solano Ave! My friend invited me here, and I'm so glad she did. I got the ribeye steak with house-fried potatoes and scrambled eggs, plus a latte. My friend ordered the Royale Benedict. Everything was SO good-- flavorful, and perfectly cooked. Definitely a spot I'd come back to!
A solid breakfast/brunch choice on Solano Ave with a lot of seating suitable for small and big groups. There's only street parking so you might have to circle a few times to find a spot. We waited about 15min to be seated. The Garden Scramble and Meat Lovers' Scramble both came with an Acme toast slice and very well seasoned potatoes that had a green sauce that gave them a perfect touch. We didn't like that the avocado in the Garden Scramble was mixed in the scramble instead of put as a topping. The Meat Lovers' Scramble was our favorite for a good balance of meats and veggies, which didn't make it too heavy of a dish. The Spam Fried Rice was also one of our favorites! The sweet potatoes and spam was not a combo we knew we needed in our fried rice but it was delicious! The eggs over it and seaweed on the side brought it all together. We finished with the Carb Sampler. A sample of their French toast, waffle, and croffle topped with fruit and a house made whipped cream. The French toast was the winner of the three for its fluffiness. We didn't think the grapes on the croffle was a good combo, but the croffle itself was really good. Although the staff was really nice, the service was lacking all around. We saw a lot of people around us also trying to flag down a server. We waited some time to get utensils at the beginning of our meal and then again at the end to get our bill. They only checked on us once so they weren't as attentive.
Even through the wait time was 11-23 minutes, the seating was fast and the place was packed. Everyone seemed to be enjoying what they were eating. Tables were solid wood and easy to clean and we were attended pretty fast with just enough time to browse the menu without feeling rushed. When the food arrived, man it was way tastier than we expected. Everything was fresh, you can tell they put the time into each dish, and even the coffee (no pictures because we drank it too fast) was fresh and didn't taste like an old pot. Will be coming back for sure.

I was beyond pleased with the quality and taste of everything. It has quickly become one of my top favorite breakfast spots. Their menu offers so many options beyond just breakfast, which I absolutely love. The variety makes it easy to want to come back and try something new each time. As we walked in, a man said, "The food was amazing," and it definitely lived up to his comment. The service was great. The staff was attentive, friendly, and very welcoming. The ambiance is nice, though seating is limited indoors and there's no outdoor seating. When we arrived, the restaurant was pretty full, but we didn't have to wait for a table. The art and decorations are beautiful, and the women's restroom was clean. Parking was definitely a challenge on a Friday at 12 PM since the area is busy overall. There's no designated customer parking--only street parking that you must pay for. We were able to find a spot after looping around a couple of times. 10/10 -- I strongly recommend this amazing breakfast/brunch spot! I'll definitely be back to try more dishes.
Nice place for a lunch if your out strolling Solano Ave. Ambiance: 4/5 Nice, modern ambiance in here. Not a huge dining area, but it has a nice vibe. Food: 5/5 I really enjoyed my food. I got a breakfast sandwich and my wife got the veggie scramble. The food was really good and potatoes were cooked perfectly. Price: 3/5 The price was fairly average restaurant price for the area. Not great, not bad. Customer Service: 2.3-3/5 The servers were all very nice, they just got some things wrong and forgot some things. My father-in-law ordered over medium eggs and they brought out scrambled, then we ordered coffee and they didn't bring out any cream or sugar (or even ask if we wanted any) and they didn't come around much to fill up the water jug. It was average busy, not really busy. They definitely need to tighten those things up. Parking: 2/5 It's parking on Solano, so it's going to depend on the day how easy it will be to find parking. And it's paid parking on the street, so don't forget to pay the meter.
Come early because this place has a line out the door! If you want table seating, the entire party must be present. We ordered the ABC Panini and Beef Teriyaki and I'd say it's a pretty well portioned and priced meal. Service was great as well. Parking is easy to find so I definitely would come back!

STEPH JUDGEMENT: Solid breakfast/brunch spot. We were looking for a good breakfast spot in the area and this has high marks on Yelp. It wasn't too busy yet at 9am on a Sunday morning, but I imagine it gets way busier as the weekend breakfast/brunch crowd rolls in. The ambiance was clean, cute, and modern--diner 2.0. I got the Smoked salmon Benedict, which came with a side salad (greens were a bit wilted) and delightfully crispy garlicky potatoes. Also got an Americano, which was fine. The hubby got the Veggie Scramble, which was flavorful and spicy. The portions were huge and service great--we felt it was a good value. read more
Had a really random craving for steak and eggs, while my husband wanted something sweet for breakfast. The place we originally wanted to go to happened to be close by, so we decided to give this spot a try. I ordered the steak and eggs medium rare, but unfortunately, my steak came out more on the well-done side. For the price, I also felt the quality of the steak didn't quite meet my expectations. My meal came with potatoes, though, and I thought those were cooked perfectly--soft on the inside with a little crunch on the outside. My husband ordered the carb sampler, and when his food came out, there was no syrup. I'm assuming the server simply forgot to bring it, but we ended up having to flag down another employee to get some. I remember seeing someone comment that the food was more aesthetically pleasing than it tasting good, and honestly, I have to agree. The pictures on Yelp look fantastic, but taste-wise, I thought the food was just okay. Nothing was bad, but nothing really stood out to me either. The service could definitely use some improvement. After being seated, we waited about 5-10 minutes before our server came over to take our order. She only checked in on us once, and by the time she did, we were already halfway through our meal. After finishing our meal, we had to wait another 10 minutes for her to give us a tab, again I had to flag her down for the tab. Overall, the food was just okay, and the service left a lot to be desired. Based on the overall experience, I don't think I'd come back. If you plan on visiting, I'd recommend checking in on Yelp ahead of time to avoid a potentially long wait during busy hours. read more

My partner and I were in Oakland visiting, we came here for brunch. Although it was pretty busy/packed inside, we were seated right away. For drinks, he got the Strawberry Matcha and I ordered the caramel latte. Thought it was going to come cold, but the waiter also didn't ask. My partner liked his matcha drink, we thought the bear was a cute touch. My latte was alright. For food, we ordered the carb sampler so we got a mix of french toast, waffle, croissants. Also ordered the scramble. I liked the savory dish more, but there wasn't a lot of flavors going on for both the sampler and the scramble. We both thought it was pretty mid. Felt like we could make the food at home. Looks yummy but missing flavors. Tasted pretty bland. read more
Adorable dishes that cater to a variety of palates. This was my second visit but first with teens who enjoyed the Hawaii ish aesthetic. Prices are reasonable for good sized portions. One note would be to separate the meat element from some of the lunch options and make it an add on (chicken in the salad for example) to give vegetarians more options. It gets busy! read more
Service and Staff: - Enter the restaurant and someone will greet you to seat you (they were a bit preoccupied when I entered, so I went back to the register to chat with someone about a table) - Their website says they don't take reservations, but I did see a reserved sign on two tables (?) - Every staff member we encountered was kind Food and Drinks: - Breakfast Burrito: this was so delicious. I ordered mine with chorizo, and it was flavorful and filling. It comes with tortilla chips, but I substituted those for French fries (make sure to get their spicy mayo / aioli sauce - that was delicious as well) - Spam Fried Rice: filling and tasty - Iced Matcha Latte: can't get over how cute this was with the green teddy bear ice cube in the drink. The drink was good. I'm not sure what the ice cube was made out of as it didn't really have any flavor - Iced Vanilla Latte: same as the comment about the iced matcha latte Miscellaneous: - Parking is available via street parking - Good for small and large groups. Second time eating here over the holidays and was so excited to come back and see the new additions to the menu, as well as the adorable drink options (see photos). We came for brunch and I ordered a Chicken Caesar Wrap (comes with fries), and my mom ordered the Eggs Any Style (served with a protein choice of bacon or sausage + served with potatoes + toast). We also ordered a table waffle with berries/whip cream so the kiddo could enjoy some O2 Eatery magic too. The portion sizes are incredibly hearty! The Chicken Caesar Wrap comes with Swiss cheese, avo, slices of chicken breast, Romaine lettuce, Caesar dressing, and croutons. For $17 this could be saved for your lunch/dinner later in the day too! As a huge advocate for avocados in everything (haha), I appreciate wraps that come with avo already. So delicious, fresh, and comforting. Fun presentations and just really, really, good food. My mom absolutely loved her plate, and the kiddo left no whip cream reminders behind. Drink-wise, I had to try the frozen matcha bear! I ordered a strawberry matcha latte that came with the most adorable topper that not only is picture-worthy, but also is functional ~ the bear melts into extra matcha for your cup! O2 also has a dinner menu featuring sushi, udon & ramen, bowls, and more. Service is quick and super friendly. (Thank you for the pre-meal sliced fruit for the kiddo!) Metered parking can be found on Solano, but leave a few extra minutes to secure. All in all, can't wait to return to try more delicious items on the menu. As new parents, we found it surprisingly hard to find a baby-friendly brunch place that has indoor seating with wide isles to accommodate a stroller. Fortunately, we stumbled upon this gem of an establishment while browsing through Yelp. Located higher up on Solano on the Berkeley side, parking is available directly on Solano. However, if you are having trouble finding a spot, I recommend pulling into one of the residential side streets to find parking. Service here is very friendly, however it took a bit to get seated despite some open tables. O2 Eatery has a fusion menu. So in addition to the typical American breakfast/brunch fare, you'll also find some Hawaiian and Japanese lunch/dinner entrées as well (ramen, spam fried rice, bento boxes). As a big boba fan, I was excited to see they had boba on the menu. I can get a bit picky with my boba, but thankfully O2's boba was made with fresh ingredients and came with a generous amount of soft, chewy boba. My wife went with the French toast, which consisted of 3 thick slices of toast topped with fresh fruit and a side of syrup. I opted for the Meat Lovers Scramble. I asked the waitress, "is it too early to order spam fried rice?" Nope, let's order it! This little eatery on Solano offers nice breakfast dishes with dome Asian influences on the menu. My spam fried rice was huge with two beautiful fried eggs on top. I needed to crunch up the nori pieces to add some flavor to my liking. Hubby ordered coffee and the two eggs medium with bacon breakfast. The bacon wasn't crispy, wondering if we needed to ask for "crispy." I enjoyed the restaurant with its wall mural of San Francisco where there is possibly another O2 Eatery? It was a pleasant breakfast but I wonder if there might be more bold tastes on the menu? Is the food mildly flavored because of the nice neighborhood it is located in? I will go again to try something else and see if I can answer my own question. read more

Just stopped by randomly this morning and it ended up being such a nice surprise. The food was honestly amazing everything tasted really fresh, well-seasoned, and thoughtfully put together. You can tell they care about quality, not just presentation. The space itself is super cute and cozy, with a relaxed vibe that makes you want to stay a little longer and just enjoy your meal. It didn't feel rushed at all, which I really appreciated. Overall, it's one of those spots that feels both comforting and a little special at the same time. We recently celebrated my abuelita's 83rd birthday here, and it was such a wonderful experience. The restaurant is beautiful, open, and aesthetically pleasing. The service was friendly and attentive, and our food came out surprisingly fast. Every dish we ordered was not only beautifully presented but also absolutely delicious. It's rare to find a place where the food looks this good and actually tastes just as amazing. We had a great time celebrating with family, and the atmosphere made the occasion feel extra special. This has easily become one of my favorite brunch spots in the East Bay, and I can't wait to come back. read more
Came in on a Monday afternoon for a late brunch. Took a while to be served, but I can understand that it was busy, so no real issue there. I'm posting this a little late, but this was around late August. The reason why I'm giving it a low rating is because I unfortunately had an experience that made me hesitant about my food quality. I went to use the restroom and noticed that one of the servers did not wash their hands after exiting the restroom. Even though they were not a cook, they were still handing out the food and it made me a bit disgusted. This made me not want to finish my meal that actually tasted great! Everything was quite tasty...so I'm incredibly disappointed that I saw that, but also glad that I did, because that is not okay! Don't think I would come back just because I think cleanliness is my top priority. read more
Absolutely cute decor. You can tell someone really put thought into the space as everything matches. The coffee mugs match the planters!! Service was attentive and courteous. Food was delicious and pretty!! They took the time to plate everything and waitstaff take the moment to place the plate in front of you to enjoy the prettiness. The menu had a wide variety and I initially had trouble picking. Picked the Smokey Sunny as I still hadn't figured out how to make poach eggs. Turned out to be a great choice. The Benedict was perfectly balanced in flavor and texture with the spinach, bacon, runny egg and light hollandaise sauce. Only complaint was that there was too much food on the plate so that it made it a tad difficult to navigate the Benedict. The house potatoes is lightly battered and it's delicious!b perfectly spiced and fried. Totally worth the calories!! My son dug into their French toast and tore through it all in record time. I went here with a party of 4 and it was very packed but I will say that they got us in fairly quickly. It's a tiny little spot but be warned there is a bit of stairs to get to the entrance but overall a lovely spot .. it does get crowded but that's because of how fantastic the food was. I got the chicken and waffles and it was amazing for sure my one of my friends I shared with got a breakfast burrito and that was great too I will say the Carmel espresso was very strong but that could be just me .. My husband took me to breakfast here on a Saturday. There's a lot of street parking. The place is nice and open with plenty of seating.the service is pretty fast and very attentive waiter. They have a good amount of options. The food is delicious here and I ordered the cutest coffee. Definitely 5 stars across the board. read more

A place that I keep going back for their avocado, toast and rib eye ramen Good coffees. Good comfort food. I think they have made some improvements to their food and drinks, and also added a few more tables since I was there last time. Casual place to meet up with friends for a good breakfast or brunch. I can always find one hour free parking on the streets. read more

This place is one of our favorite breakfast spots. We've been coming here more regularly and each time we come it's gotten more popular. Their food is excellent. I have not gotten anything I didn't like. My husband loves their potatoes. Their service is excellent but I think sometimes they are a bit short handed. The restaurant itself is bright and vibrant. The noise level is excellent. With a full house I'm still able to carry on a conversation without having to shout. One of my favorite item here is the Garden Scramble but I decided to try something different. The chicken and waffles was really good. My one suggestion is that maybe putting a waitlist table/stand at the entrance of the restaurant. It was quite busy today and a bit chaotic when trying to get on a list for a table. read more

Is necessary to make reservation?
No reservations are necessary. Walk ins are welcome.
How about a vegan option? It's hard to eat out for breakfast when you don't eat eggs. Tofu scramble? Eggless waffle? Soyrizzo?
I believe they do, but would recommend you call them and ask. I know they have avocado toast but am unsure whether the bread is vegan.
Anything gluten free?
We have Gluten Free bread upon request. You can order pretty much anything with Gluten free toast.
Hours? Don't see any information about this so guess we have to pass on going today !

I'm not sure how early they open, maybe 8 or 8:30, but I know they close at 3.
