A cute brunch spot on Solano with a menu that makes you want to come back and try more. Went today with Face for breakfast after wanting to try this place since Monday. Luckily there was no line and we were seated immediately. I ordered the Carb Platter, which came with French toast, a croffle, waffle, fruit, berries, a creamy dipping sauce, and a side of bacon. The French toast was definitely the standout for me -- really flavorful and well done. The waffle had a nice crisp texture, and the croffle was buttery with good flavor as well. The bacon unfortunately missed the mark. It was very limp and chewy instead of crispy, almost like it had been boiled rather than cooked properly. Face ordered the California Omelette, which came with potatoes topped with a garlic pesto situation that was honestly really good. For drinks, I had the caramel latte, which was decent but could've used a little more sweetness. Face ordered the strawberry matcha latte, which had an adorable bear-shaped matcha ice cube on top -- super cute presentation -- though she also felt it could've used a bit more strawberry flavor and sweetness. Overall, definitely a place I'd come back to because there were several other things on the menu I'd like to try. Street parking only and metered, so plan ahead a little. Also realized this is where the old pastrami spot used to be -- RIP
We came on a random afternoon - and got lucky with a table right away! Almost immediately after, the place started filling up. Definitely a great new addition to the community. Staff was kind, prompt. Checked on us appropriately without being intrusive and vice versa. Plenty of parking including meter and street. Portions are HUGE! The star of the show was the carb sampler (and the side of potatoes dare i say). And don't skip out on the coffee/ other drinks. Otherwise, definitely a good (but not amazing) brunch. Still would come back. Plenty of space to catch up with a friend. Clean.
Adorable dishes that cater to a variety of palates. This was my second visit but first with teens who enjoyed the Hawaii ish aesthetic. Prices are reasonable for good sized portions. One note would be to separate the meat element from some of the lunch options and make it an add on (chicken in the salad for example) to give vegetarians more options. It gets busy!
A solid breakfast/brunch choice on Solano Ave with a lot of seating suitable for small and big groups. There's only street parking so you might have to circle a few times to find a spot. We waited about 15min to be seated. The Garden Scramble and Meat Lovers' Scramble both came with an Acme toast slice and very well seasoned potatoes that had a green sauce that gave them a perfect touch. We didn't like that the avocado in the Garden Scramble was mixed in the scramble instead of put as a topping. The Meat Lovers' Scramble was our favorite for a good balance of meats and veggies, which didn't make it too heavy of a dish. The Spam Fried Rice was also one of our favorites! The sweet potatoes and spam was not a combo we knew we needed in our fried rice but it was delicious! The eggs over it and seaweed on the side brought it all together. We finished with the Carb Sampler. A sample of their French toast, waffle, and croffle topped with fruit and a house made whipped cream. The French toast was the winner of the three for its fluffiness. We didn't think the grapes on the croffle was a good combo, but the croffle itself was really good. Although the staff was really nice, the service was lacking all around. We saw a lot of people around us also trying to flag down a server. We waited some time to get utensils at the beginning of our meal and then again at the end to get our bill. They only checked on us once so they weren't as attentive.
I asked the waitress, "is it too early to order spam fried rice?" Nope, let's order it! This little eatery on Solano offers nice breakfast dishes with dome Asian influences on the menu. My spam fried rice was huge with two beautiful fried eggs on top. I needed to crunch up the nori pieces to add some flavor to my liking. Hubby ordered coffee and the two eggs medium with bacon breakfast. The bacon wasn't crispy, wondering if we needed to ask for "crispy." I enjoyed the restaurant with its wall mural of San Francisco where there is possibly another O2 Eatery? It was a pleasant breakfast but I wonder if there might be more bold tastes on the menu? Is the food mildly flavored because of the nice neighborhood it is located in? I will go again to try something else and see if I can answer my own question.
Order: 1 Garden Scramble 1 Chicken and Waffle Croissant 1 Iced Matcha Latte with oat milk Visited this place for the first time on 2/27/26, and the food was phenomenal! I was beyond pleased with the quality and taste of everything. It has quickly become one of my top favorite breakfast spots. Their menu offers so many options beyond just breakfast, which I absolutely love. The variety makes it easy to want to come back and try something new each time. As we walked in, a man said, "The food was amazing," and it definitely lived up to his comment. The service was great. The staff was attentive, friendly, and very welcoming. The ambiance is nice, though seating is limited indoors and there's no outdoor seating. When we arrived, the restaurant was pretty full, but we didn't have to wait for a table. The art and decorations are beautiful, and the women's restroom was clean. Parking was definitely a challenge on a Friday at 12 PM since the area is busy overall. There's no designated customer parking--only street parking that you must pay for. We were able to find a spot after looping around a couple of times. 10/10 -- I strongly recommend this amazing breakfast/brunch spot! I'll definitely be back to try more dishes.
Nice place for a lunch if your out strolling Solano Ave. Ambiance: 4/5 Nice, modern ambiance in here. Not a huge dining area, but it has a nice vibe. Food: 5/5 I really enjoyed my food. I got a breakfast sandwich and my wife got the veggie scramble. The food was really good and potatoes were cooked perfectly. Price: 3/5 The price was fairly average restaurant price for the area. Not great, not bad. Customer Service: 2.3-3/5 The servers were all very nice, they just got some things wrong and forgot some things. My father-in-law ordered over medium eggs and they brought out scrambled, then we ordered coffee and they didn't bring out any cream or sugar (or even ask if we wanted any) and they didn't come around much to fill up the water jug. It was average busy, not really busy. They definitely need to tighten those things up. Parking: 2/5 It's parking on Solano, so it's going to depend on the day how easy it will be to find parking. And it's paid parking on the street, so don't forget to pay the meter.
Just stopped by randomly this morning and it ended up being such a nice surprise. The food was honestly amazing everything tasted really fresh, well-seasoned, and thoughtfully put together. You can tell they care about quality, not just presentation. The space itself is super cute and cozy, with a relaxed vibe that makes you want to stay a little longer and just enjoy your meal. It didn't feel rushed at all, which I really appreciated. Overall, it's one of those spots that feels both comforting and a little special at the same time. Definitely a place I'd come back to and recommend if you're in the area. 1000/5: smoked salmon benny (OMG, so good can't say anything you have to try it yourself) 5/5: chicken & waffles (very juicy) 4/5: iced Americano (it is ok) 3/5: fresh-squeezed orange juice (pre-squeezed so it's a little bit bitter)
I went here with a party of 4 and it was very packed but I will say that they got us in fairly quickly. It's a tiny little spot but be warned there is a bit of stairs to get to the entrance but overall a lovely spot .. it does get crowded but that's because of how fantastic the food was. I got the chicken and waffles and it was amazing for sure my one of my friends I shared with got a breakfast burrito and that was great too I will say the Carmel espresso was very strong but that could be just me .. I will be back!!
Come early because this place has a line out the door! If you want table seating, the entire party must be present. We ordered the ABC Panini and Beef Teriyaki and I'd say it's a pretty well portioned and priced meal. Service was great as well. Parking is easy to find so I definitely would come back!
My partner and I were in Oakland visiting, we came here for brunch. Although it was pretty busy/packed inside, we were seated right away. For drinks, he got the Strawberry Matcha and I ordered the caramel latte. Thought it was going to come cold, but the waiter also didn't ask. My partner liked his matcha drink, we thought the bear was a cute touch. My latte was alright. For food, we ordered the carb sampler so we got a mix of french toast, waffle, croissants. Also ordered the scramble. I liked the savory dish more, but there wasn't a lot of flavors going on for both the sampler and the scramble. We both thought it was pretty mid. Felt like we could make the food at home. Looks yummy but missing flavors. Tasted pretty bland.
Service and Staff: - Enter the restaurant and someone will greet you to seat you (they were a bit preoccupied when I entered, so I went back to the register to chat with someone about a table) - Their website says they don't take reservations, but I did see a reserved sign on two tables (?) - Every staff member we encountered was kind Food and Drinks: - Breakfast Burrito: this was so delicious. I ordered mine with chorizo, and it was flavorful and filling. It comes with tortilla chips, but I substituted those for French fries (make sure to get their spicy mayo / aioli sauce - that was delicious as well) - Spam Fried Rice: filling and tasty - Iced Matcha Latte: can't get over how cute this was with the green teddy bear ice cube in the drink. The drink was good. I'm not sure what the ice cube was made out of as it didn't really have any flavor - Iced Vanilla Latte: same as the comment about the iced matcha latte Miscellaneous: - Parking is available via street parking - Good for small and large groups. Headed to Blick for some art stuff and looked for a place close by. Interior was comfy with wood accents. Food was good and fresh! Staff employees were attentive. I had the veg Benedict, wife had spam fried rice and the kid had Chicken and waffles. Coffee was bold and strong. The hot chocolate was good according to the wife and kid, tasted like a Hershey syrup mix. I must say it was the most beautiful looking Benedict I've ever had, it was fresh and delicious. The fried chicken was juicy and had a nice crunch. The spam fried rice w eggs was good and was a huge portion. Overall recommended when in the Solano area! read more

After a hike Saturday morning with my girlfriend's family, I stumbled across this restaurant as her family mentioned that O2 eatery was delicious and new to Albany. Whoever painted that wall, I gotta give it to ya. That wall is a great design! Service was on their game because it was a soft opening. There's nothing wrong to that. Good service equals good reviews. I must say the food and drinks were portioned well. Got the Iced Strawberry matcha with a bear shaped ice cube. Although you could taste the strawberry bits, the matcha is what you could really taste. It wasn't bland as how real matcha is but the drink wasn't too sweet. It was made just right. For food, I got the Just Box - fried chicken. Chicken was crispy and the rest of the food in the bento box got me full. I enjoyed my meal and look forward to seeing what else this restaurant has to serve. read more

Super cute place for brunch. Got there close to 9:30 with a friend and were seated immediately but I saw people waiting once it got to 10AM. We split a carb sampler and a side of bacon and got iced lattes with adorable bear ice cubes. The croffle and French toast were amazing but the regular waffle was a little dry. read more

What a yummy spot where the food is both delicious and aesthetic! We stopped in as part of my Mom's birthday weekend celebration. It was a bit busy, but worth the wait on a Sunday afternoon. Street parking is the way to go for this spot--we parked in the neighborhood with no issues. Our estimated wait time was about 24 minutes, but they seemed to seat people quickly. I ordered the Crispy Chicken and Waffles--where the chicken is boneless and the right amount of crispy without any weird chewy or hard bits. It has the same taste as chicken karaage, which is one of my favorites. The waffle is more on the dense side, and the syrup is perfectly sweet. I do appreciate the additions of fruit. Though I'm not a fan of blueberries, the strawberries were a nice touch. They initially forgot mine and my Mom's drinks, but as soon as we alerted them--the drinks came out quickly. Their matcha runs on the sweeter side than most places, but still very good and aesthetically pleasing. Overall, O2 really exceeded my expectations and we do plan to come back very soon. read more

We ordered black sesame latte, spam fried rice and scrambled eggs. Nothing really stands out. Spam fried rice was very bland, black sesame latte tasted artificial and the scrambled egg was just a normal kind of scrambled egg. It is nice to see an Asian fusion brunch place in the neighborhood but the taste was just average. read more
Another Solano Avenue gem of a restaurant! If you are looking for a brunch spot: O2 Eatery is a must try. In what used to be Delirama spot (I missed them), another family owned and operated restaurant has taken over, with the same mojo of delicious food and great customer service. We each had something different: steak and eggs, California omelette, Bacon Benny, and the croffle. Yum, Yum, Yum! What surprised us the most, the breakfast potatoes were just the right crisp on the outside, soft in the inside, and flavorful with a buttery garlic chimichurri topper. If the taste, portions, and service stays consistent, O2 Eatery will be a staple restaurant, continuing to add to the many Foodie spots on Solano Avenue. read more

We are a fan! This spot opened up where Delirama was and the ambiance and decor are super cute and cozy. They are very baby friendly with plenty of space for stroller. The coffees came in cute glass mugs and a small measuring cup of cream. The stirring spoons are also very cute! We love that the menu is not overwhelming but has a good variety. Everything we've had here was delicious! We like getting the carb sampler with French toast, waffle and cruffle. We've also tried their Smokey bacon Benedict and California scramble - both were great. The potatoes were fried crispy and with a drizzle of chimichurri. Yum! read more

Found this restaurant when I was looking for a new brunch place to have my yearly friends meetup. What a nice find! We got there at 9am on a Friday and only a handful of people, so no wait at all. It took us a minute to look at the huge variety of breakfast and lunch selections. We settled on a veg benny and the carb sampler. When we looked up from enjoying our food and hours of talking, there were so many people there. The acoustics were great since we didn't feel like we were yelling to hear ourselves talk. Can't wait for the next time, so I can try other items on their menu. read more

Browsed reviews when around the area and decided to give this place a try for breakfast on a Friday morning. Got lucky for free parking at a nearby residential area. Looks very clean and neat when first walked in, and we were sat promptly. Menu was easy enough to navigate. Son went with steak and egg, and I opted for Smoke Salmon Benny. Coffee has special sugar, cute spoon and cream container. I could tell the owner and chef put a lot of personal touch into their food and atmosphere of the restaurant. A true Bay Area supporter. Not easy for your plates to look good and also taste good. Will definitely refer to friends and return. read more

Wow this was such a great restaurant I loved the food box I got. The potstickers were nice and the rice was ok but the thing that was the best was the amazing steak it was so yummy. We got our food in a good amount of time and it's a good environment. But they do close rather early so more of a lunch breakfast place. read more

The food is really good here. I had brunch 2 days in a roll. Ordered something new each day and it didn't disappoint. Service was better on the first visit, second visit was a bit off. We never got water and other tables after us got utensil and water pretty quickly. The ambiance was nice with cute dried flower arrangement hanging as decoration. read more

I've eaten at many breakfast and brunch spots around the world. When I walked in, I liked the calm, pretty atmosphere. The waitress was attentive and clearly enjoyed her work. Date: 9/8/2024 Time: 1:35 PM 73° Sunny Okay, I 'm at the Solano Stroll. I walked several blocks heading to San Pablo Avenue. I'm hungry and the closest spot is O2 Eatery. There is no way I can walk the rest of the way to San Pablo Avenue if I don't have some form of sustenance. Feed me, Seymour, feed me all night long. LOL. No, I am not a venus flytrap. At least I am not "hangry"! Well, stopping in, I was told by Ryan that they were closed. I have to admit O2 Eatery and their family were indeed accommodating. The owner made an exception and allowed me to dine in. It was just me on a solo act. I don't know what restaurant was here before because this is not a part of Berkeley that I travel to. I am from out of town - Alameda. I don't drive. Then it doesn't hurt to be a little adventurous on a nice day, and just enjoy the stroll and lunch. O2 Eatery opened about a month ago. It is a small family business. Not only were they accommodating, but also attentive, gracious and kind. They did not turn me away. My dining experience was wonderful. Excellent service. Specialties: breakfast, salad, sandwiches, burgers, Boba beverages, teas, milk teas. Items that were brought out by the employees for other restaurant patrons sure looked delicious and the portions were generous. Eats: ABC panini with French fries for an ABC lady. Avocado, bacon and chicken, swiss cheese and a pesto spread on a grilled panini bread for an American born Chinese lady. LOL. Cost (including tax) was $19.85. French fries were crispy and greaseless. Good value. Great lunch! Seating capacity for indoor dining: Guesstimate is about 50 people. Street parking is available. Public transportation (AC Transit) is within walking distance. Return visit: yes! I don't drive, but Lyft and public transportation are good options to get to O2 Eatery. I left out of there, grinning from ear to ear. read more

Went up to Berkeley to visit friends on a warm summer day and decided to come here for brunch. One thing I forgot about Berkeley is that most of the restaurants don't have A/C so when the weather gets warmer the whole place heats up. That on top of slow service really took away from the experience. By the time the food came I was starving so on the plus side that meant that the food was delicious. I had the salmon bento which was slightly underflavored in my opinion, the salad could have definitely used more dressing and the salmon more teriyaki sauce considering all the rice it came with but overall not bad. I appreciated that it came with two pieces of fish considering how hungry I was. I also tried the chicken and waffles from a friend and the chicken there was delicious. read more

Food and coffee were excellent! Service was excellent and we got our orders quickly. My friend's eggs Benny were beautiful. The home fries were crispy on the outside and inside creamy. My Ca omelette was yummy and I substituted the cheddar cheese for Jack. Next time I'll eliminate the red onions tho. Plan to ho back for their lunch box. Inside was colorful and tables spaced nicely so you can feel comfortable. read more

Is necessary to make reservation?
No reservations are necessary. Walk ins are welcome.
How about a vegan option? It's hard to eat out for breakfast when you don't eat eggs. Tofu scramble? Eggless waffle? Soyrizzo?
I believe they do, but would recommend you call them and ask. I know they have avocado toast but am unsure whether the bread is vegan.
Anything gluten free?
We have Gluten Free bread upon request. You can order pretty much anything with Gluten free toast.
Hours? Don't see any information about this so guess we have to pass on going today !
Our hours are under info but it is Everyday 8am-3pm☺️
What's their hours?
I'm not sure how early they open, maybe 8 or 8:30, but I know they close at 3.
