We came for brunch on a Saturday so there was a wait but things moved pretty quickly and we were seated within 15-20 minutes of putting our name down. We ordered the meat scramble with gluten free bread , chicken and waffles, and the smokey bacon benedict as well as 3 iced coffees. All the iced drinks come with a cute iced bear which added such a cute touch. The food was really good. I like that they use Mariposa Bakery GF bread and I like how perfectly cooked the fried chicken was in the chicken and waffles. The eggs benedict was also really good. I liked that they added avocado to it and that they put the perfect amount of hollandaise sauce. Service was good and the staff were really nice and accommodating. Cant wait to come back and try the spam fried rice and breakfast burrito! read more

One of our friends had been here before and suggested that we would all enjoy it. And she was correct! Service was okay albeit a bit slower that I would have liked. We had a table for seven reserved. One person was not able to join us, so it was just the six of us. We were quickly seated, menus presented, and glasses of water handed out. Then we were left alone for at least ten minutes before a server came back to take our orders. The food came out relatively close together. Not something that's always easy to do when it's a larger table. All of the dishes looked quite robust except for my Carb Sampler (which was not small either). Four people ended up taking home leftovers to enjoy later. For my Carb Sampler, I would give it 3 out of 5. It looked good but I can't say that I enjoyed the Croffle. Especially since I ate it last. The best was the waffle. The French Toast needed more egg. To me, the most enjoyable components of a croissant are the flakey crust and the airy center. Flattening a perfectly good croissant in a waffle iron destroys those two components. Don't be a hater, just my opinion. Would I dine here again? If in the area, yes. read more

This is our family's favorite brunch spot since we first went last fall. The quality of food is very good and the presentation is exceptional. They really go out of their way to make their food beautiful. The iced matcha has these little molded ice bears in them, many of the dishes have edible flowers on them, and they have cute interesting details in their dishware/cutlery. read more

I had the Breakfast Sandwich with a side salad. The ingredients were fresh and the flavors were decent, but the sandwich felt rushed. There was barely any sauce, and it was messy to eat, which made the experience less enjoyable. Service was also lacking. It was slow overall, our drinks were mixed up with another table's, and water refills took a long time. Between the food being just okay and the service issues, I wouldn't come back. read more

Very disorganized for getting your name down on their waitlist and then it took a long time to get seated. Overall, it was not a good value for the money. I ordered a breakfast sandwich with potatoes and an iced matcha latte. The breakfast sandwich was average and could have used more sauce and seasoning. I read so much about the chimichurri that they put on their potatoes, but I barely got any. A few tiny dollops covered some potatoes and the vast majority I ate dry or with ketchup. The matcha latte was good and the matcha ice cube bear was unique. The matcha bear won't melt fast enough to be able to mix into the drink before I finished it. Service was very poor. We were constantly out of water trying to flag someone down and when we did, they would forget. We received a different table's drink order which we didn't touch and sent back. Food was also slow to come out. read more

Another packed brunch spot. Come here early to get your name in the list. We waited 30 minutes. Worth it because I wanted the matcha bear lol. They had classic brunch foods with Korean inspiration. It did not disappoint. Ambience was loud and seats were a bit too crowded together. We felt really close to the tables next to us and there wasn't much room to stand up to leave. read more

I visited here for lunch. Scanning around at what other people were eating I noticed a lot of people eating the burger. I ended up ordering the chicken caesar wrap. The wrap was good. It had good amounts of chicken breast, lettuce, avocado, and dressing. I was really impressed by the fries that came with it. It was crunchy and salted well. The fries stayed crisp throughout the entire time I ate it. I will need to come back again to try the hamburger, so that I can get the fries again. read more

Second time here. Food was good and fresh like last time. However, dining room service lacking again. First time, we came shortly after open and service was slow and attention to our table was lacking (ie had to ask for coffee refills/water, etc.) and that took a long time right after open. This time, came in the middle of breakfast rush and service was even worst. And they were the same staff as last time so either they can't manage a dining room when busy or they didn't learn or improve by experience. The higher rating is only for the food. Unfortunatley the service drags the place down. Read the two-star reviews and believe them when it comes to service. I really wanted to like this place. I will come back for sure if I'm not on a hurry and willing to wait. And that unfortunately, isn't a luxury I have all the time. read more

Food and drinks were delicious. We were lucky enough to get a seat fairly quickly. Service is good but very slow. Maybe a few more waiters around peak hours would make it go smoother. Very interested in trying dinner next. Everything we had was delicious. Restaurant was very IG vibes. Hoping this restaurant has longevity since the space is beautiful and food is awesome. read more

Headed to Blick for some art stuff and looked for a place close by. Interior was comfy with wood accents. Food was good and fresh! Staff employees were attentive. I had the veg Benedict, wife had spam fried rice and the kid had Chicken and waffles. Coffee was bold and strong. The hot chocolate was good according to the wife and kid, tasted like a Hershey syrup mix. I must say it was the most beautiful looking Benedict I've ever had, it was fresh and delicious. The fried chicken was juicy and had a nice crunch. The spam fried rice w eggs was good and was a huge portion. Overall recommended when in the Solano area! read more

After a hike Saturday morning with my girlfriend's family, I stumbled across this restaurant as her family mentioned that O2 eatery was delicious and new to Albany. Whoever painted that wall, I gotta give it to ya. That wall is a great design! Service was on their game because it was a soft opening. There's nothing wrong to that. Good service equals good reviews. I must say the food and drinks were portioned well. Got the Iced Strawberry matcha with a bear shaped ice cube. Although you could taste the strawberry bits, the matcha is what you could really taste. It wasn't bland as how real matcha is but the drink wasn't too sweet. It was made just right. For food, I got the Just Box - fried chicken. Chicken was crispy and the rest of the food in the bento box got me full. I enjoyed my meal and look forward to seeing what else this restaurant has to serve. read more

We ordered black sesame latte, spam fried rice and scrambled eggs. Nothing really stands out. Despite not catching my eye from the exterior, once inside O2 Eatery it proved to be a pretty ideal breakfast/brunch/lunch spot. Judging from the fact that almost every table was filled at 10:30 a.m. on a Thursday I may have been the last one to learn that. O2 Eatery is a spotless, nicely airy space with a breakfast/lunch menu that's served the entire time they're open. I liked knowing that I could get lunch food when it was still morning and vice versa. I also liked seeing that the menu sported two omelet offerings when some spots have opted to strike all omelets from their menu. So, of course I ordered an omelet as did the friend I was with. We both ordered the meat-free option which contained spinach, cheese, and tomatoes amongst other things but - SIGALERT - we were both served the omelet containing meat (bacon). Catastrophic isn't the word I'd use for my consumption of a piece of bacon before realizing I'd been improperly served, but for someone who is actually vegetarian or allergic, it certainly could be. A server was flagged down and the orders replaced, no hassle. But this brings me to one more observation: the servers here are very nice but they seem a little lackadaisical. One of us ordered coffee at the same time as the omelets and it still hadn't been served by the time the entrees first arrived (a second request was made). And when we alerted our server to the order mix-up she said "I thought they looked..." (the implication being: not correct). They do nothing to turn the tables here and we were welcome to stay as long as we wished and I did appreciate that, so it all balanced out. Tables were cleaned promptly and, as mentioned, the place is immaculate. So some spaciness on the servers part is pretty easy to overlook. I'd be happy to return here for a meal, even with all of the competition on this street. read more

The food here is consistently delicious! Also beautifully presented. We both had Bennies, I had the vegetarian version with their tasty chimichurri sauce instead of hollandaise - it was fantastic! Cappuccino was smooth and strong at the same time. read more

What a yummy spot where the food is both delicious and aesthetic! We stopped in as part of my Mom's birthday weekend celebration. It was a bit busy, but worth the wait on a Sunday afternoon. Street parking is the way to go for this spot--we parked in the neighborhood with no issues. Our estimated wait time was about 24 minutes, but they seemed to seat people quickly. I ordered the Crispy Chicken and Waffles--where the chicken is boneless and the right amount of crispy without any weird chewy or hard bits. It has the same taste as chicken karaage, which is one of my favorites. The waffle is more on the dense side, and the syrup is perfectly sweet. I do appreciate the additions of fruit. Though I'm not a fan of blueberries, the strawberries were a nice touch. They initially forgot mine and my Mom's drinks, but as soon as we alerted them--the drinks came out quickly. Their matcha runs on the sweeter side than most places, but still very good and aesthetically pleasing. Overall, O2 really exceeded my expectations and we do plan to come back very soon. read more

Another Solano Avenue gem of a restaurant! If you are looking for a brunch spot: O2 Eatery is a must try. In what used to be Delirama spot (I missed them), another family owned and operated restaurant has taken over, with the same mojo of delicious food and great customer service. We each had something different: steak and eggs, California omelette, Bacon Benny, and the croffle. Yum, Yum, Yum! What surprised us the most, the breakfast potatoes were just the right crisp on the outside, soft in the inside, and flavorful with a buttery garlic chimichurri topper. If the taste, portions, and service stays consistent, O2 Eatery will be a staple restaurant, continuing to add to the many Foodie spots on Solano Avenue. read more

Waited in the doorway for about 20 minutes before anyone acknowledged us. Even just a quick "we'll be right with you" would've helped. It was busy, so not a huge deal, but we eventually had to walk over to the bar ourselves and were pointed to a random seat, despite several open tables. Our waiter was nice, and we ordered quickly since we'd had plenty of time to decide--but then waited another 40 minutes for food. I get that restaurants get backed up, but some communication would've gone a long way. At 3pm on a Sunday, the wait felt a bit excessive. The bigger issue is that the whole place feels stuck in an awkward in-between. It's not casual enough to be a laid-back diner, but not elevated enough to justify the pricing or the wait. The food reflected that too, nothing terrible, just very forgettable. The fried chicken was mid, and overall nothing really stood out. The drinks were cute, but didn't deliver much on flavor. It ends up feeling like diner-level food with restaurant-level expectations, without fully committing to either. I really wanted to like this place, but I'll be finding a better brunch spot next time. read more

We are a fan! This spot opened up where Delirama was and the ambiance and decor are super cute and cozy. They are very baby friendly with plenty of space for stroller. The coffees came in cute glass mugs and a small measuring cup of cream. The stirring spoons are also very cute! We love that the menu is not overwhelming but has a good variety. Everything we've had here was delicious! We like getting the carb sampler with French toast, waffle and cruffle. We've also tried their Smokey bacon Benedict and California scramble - both were great. The potatoes were fried crispy and with a drizzle of chimichurri. Yum! read more

Browsed reviews when around the area and decided to give this place a try for breakfast on a Friday morning. Got lucky for free parking at a nearby residential area. Looks very clean and neat when first walked in, and we were sat promptly. Menu was easy enough to navigate. Son went with steak and egg, and I opted for Smoke Salmon Benny. Coffee has special sugar, cute spoon and cream container. I could tell the owner and chef put a lot of personal touch into their food and atmosphere of the restaurant. A true Bay Area supporter. Found this restaurant when I was looking for a new brunch place to have my yearly friends meetup. What a nice find! We got there at 9am on a Friday and only a handful of people, so no wait at all. It took us a minute to look at the huge variety of breakfast and lunch selections. We settled on a veg benny and the carb sampler. When we looked up from enjoying our food and hours of talking, there were so many people there. The acoustics were great since we didn't feel like we were yelling to hear ourselves talk. How about a proper waitlist? A 1 hour wait and counting when the estimate was 12-22 minutes. This affected everything downstream. Service felt super rushed, no coffee refill, forgot sides, etc. our server was very nice and efficient in the time she had, but she was doing double duty as hostess and table clearing. All easily solved with more conservative waitlist or better staffing or both. Food was fine except my eggs were a little cold. read more

DO NOT COME HERE AS A VEGAN!! The impossible burger is not vegan friendly and staff does not know what vegan means. There will put butter all over the bread and not remake it for you if it comes out wrong. Date: 9/8/2024 Time: 1:35 PM 73° Sunny Okay, I 'm at the Solano Stroll. I walked several blocks heading to San Pablo Avenue. I'm hungry and the closest spot is O2 Eatery. There is no way I can walk the rest of the way to San Pablo Avenue if I don't have some form of sustenance. Feed me, Seymour, feed me all night long. LOL. No, I am not a venus flytrap. At least I am not "hangry"! Well, stopping in, I was told by Ryan that they were closed. I have to admit O2 Eatery and their family were indeed accommodating. The owner made an exception and allowed me to dine in. It was just me on a solo act. I don't know what restaurant was here before because this is not a part of Berkeley that I travel to. I am from out of town - Alameda. I don't drive. Then it doesn't hurt to be a little adventurous on a nice day, and just enjoy the stroll and lunch. O2 Eatery opened about a month ago. It is a small family business. Not only were they accommodating, but also attentive, gracious and kind. They did not turn me away. My dining experience was wonderful. Excellent service. Specialties: breakfast, salad, sandwiches, burgers, Boba beverages, teas, milk teas. Items that were brought out by the employees for other restaurant patrons sure looked delicious and the portions were generous. Eats: ABC panini with French fries for an ABC lady. Avocado, bacon and chicken, swiss cheese and a pesto spread on a grilled panini bread for an American born Chinese lady. LOL. Cost (including tax) was $19.85. French fries were crispy and greaseless. Good value. Great lunch! Seating capacity for indoor dining: Guesstimate is about 50 people. Street parking is available. Public transportation (AC Transit) is within walking distance. Return visit: yes! I don't drive, but Lyft and public transportation are good options to get to O2 Eatery. I left out of there, grinning from ear to ear. read more
