I have been coming here for so long my friends have to beg me to go other places so it was nice to go here on a date. They have indoor seating and outdoor. Usually faster to be seated to eat outside. You know the stuffed french toast is good when the waitress goes around the table asking for everyone's orders, and everyone orders the exact same thing. Seriously, it's the best french toast I've ever had. The fruit and cinnamon and syrup and mascarpone all just come together perfectly. It is pretty sweet, so I'd recommend ordering a savory side (like the potatoes) to balance it out. Cafe M is a popular place and does get busy, but I've always walked in and gotten a table within minutes on weekend mornings. The food doesn't take too long to come out either. We did have a bizarre experience here so I will say the food was pretty good & the coffee was decent. Our bacon had hair wrapped around it and it was obviously very off putting. It wasnt just on the bacon, it was wrapped around it. Kinda ruined the experience, thinking hair could possibly be in other dishes. When it was discussed with the waitress about the hair, she verbally agreed to not charge for the bacon but when we got the bill back after paying, not only had the bacon been kept on the check the price went up. My husband had an iced mocha that was very good too. I ordered a combo breakfast with French toast, bacon and eggs. The bacon and French toast were good. It can be hard for me to enjoy a brunch place, especially when it serves very classic foods, because I always feel like I could make a lot of the dishes myself. I came in with pretty low expectations for Cafe M, but the food really blew me away. I had the Delmar Crepe ($21) which had a great crabcake flavor with a perfectly thin & crispy crepe and was paired with such a smooth hollandaise sauce. The scrambler was great, tasted just as it was described and the ingredient combination was great. I had a side of fruit with it which was also good. My husband enjoyed his omelet but was not a fan of the hollandaise sauce on top. I don't think he saw it on the menu and if he did most likely would have asked not to have it. The coffee was good along with my hot tea. Our server was excellent! The only off-putting thing I noticed were the light fixtures. They were long hanging Italian lights that you could see where moths and other insects had made their final flight. Just need to get a ladder and clean them out. The staff greeted me like I was long lost royalty from a forgotten breakfast kingdom. I ordered the egg scramble, which, by the way, is code for "a bite of heaven wrapped in a cloud of yum." It had zucchini (because, ya know, we gotta pretend to be healthy), cheese (to balance out that healthiness), pesto (because why not add a fancy twist?), and eggs (duh, it's a scramble). But let's have a moment of silence for those breakfast potatoes... crisped to perfection, seasoned like they've traveled the seven seas, and fluffy inside as if they're holding on to all of breakfast's secrets.
