Service was reasonable. Ambiance was good. We ordered: 1) chiliqillas - 4/5; good favor and but no hot in the salsa verde; 2) mt tam potatoes - 5/5. Potatoes were perfect and everything blended well and was flavorful; 3) gluten free banana pancake - 5/5. Super yummy, fluffy and full of banana flavor. Didn't need syrup; 4) vanilla scones- 5/5 star of the meal! Lots of vanilla flavor good crumb and the devon cream was so good; 5) polenta, eggs and sausage - 4.5/5. Really tasty but the Rojas was bitter and more cheese in the polenta would have been good; & 6) mexican hot coco - 3.5/5. Good hot coco with cinnamon on top but not real Mexican hot coco.

Pork Chop with mash potatoes and Brussels sprouts

My wife brought me here tonight to celebrate my birthday. We hadn't been here since it was still the Rendez-vous Cafe, so we were excited to try out this "new" establishment. The interior still looks very much like it did when it was still Rendez-vous. And it was virtually deserted when we arrived at 6:30pm for dinner on a Sunday. I went with the Fish & Chips, which was absolutely delicious. Consisting of 3 fresh pieces of fresh, soft, flaky cod, battered in a perfectly yellow and crispy beer batter. Served with a generous portion of deliciously fluffy, crispy fries. And coupled with condiments of vinegar, ketchup, and the best tasting tartar sauce I have ever had in my life. It was so good I found myself constantly dipping my fries into it as well. My wife went with one of their specials for today, which was pork chop served on a bed of mash potatoes and Brussel sprouts. As the designated trash can, I got to finish the remainder of my wife's plate and I definitely agree with her that Brezo's did an amazing job of it. The pork chop was thick, HUGE, and very tender and juicy. The mash potatoes were done well, and we loved how the Brussel sprouts were not burnt to a bitter crisp like many places do. Service was friendly and attentive. And the place started to fill up as it got later. We really enjoyed the food and our dining experience here tonight. And although still sad at Rendez-vous's closing, ecstatic to see it replaced by such a great establishment!

    Special: crab burger

The service was very attentive and friendly. The food was good. Here's what we liked. The chilaquiles were rich and savory. Huge portion with lots of sauce and crispy chips. The crab burger was very tasty but falling apart messy. Definitely a knife and fork dish. The blueberry pancake was not too sweet, but had fresh blueberries and blueberry butter! Only cons were the first pancake was a little overcooked and tasted kinda burnt. And the coffe was a bit weak. Otherwise we enjoyed our meal.

Great Brunch spot! I like the Chilaquiles here (some places like to soak the chips, I still want a bit of crunch on my chips!) Tried the Sopes for the first time! It's a lighter version of an Egg's Benedict. This place was too fancy for the kids so it will be on rotation for my husband and I only! Customer service was great, give it a try if you are looking for a brunch/lunch option.

I never knew this place was on Solano Ave. I drove past it twice trying to find it . We were seated as soon as we walked in. Noticed that only 2 servers were working the dining area and the bar. They were pretty packed for lunch. We ordered the French toast and omelette. The omelette was fluffy and stuffed with delicious cheese and meat. The French toast was well seasoned and just the right about of sweet. The Kid had the hot chocolate. She drank it before I could even get a photo- so I'm assuming it was delicious as well. We will have to come back and try their dinner menu

meet friends for lunch. It was a quiet dsy so we were able to sit around and talk . They offered a Rueben sandwich or crab cake burger size on a brioche bun for lunch specials. i was really excited to have the crab cake special. I ordered it with the salad and upgraded it to the signature beet salad for $3. no fries. We all had the crab cakes , I had no bun and added tartar sauce instead of aoili . it was delish ! A real Plus is the large parking lot behind the restaurant with an entrance into the restaurant from there. I am handicapped so i was really happy to see that!

The food was absolutely delicious. Got the chilaquiles and the home fries and both were so so good. The service was great, got my food sooner than anticipated which was great considering I arrived to pick up my order earlier than I should've. The inside is also so cute and the staff were all very friendly.

Fresh sweet scone and cream, the best!

Been here 3 times so far, the food never fails. Thank you for the brunch service with my family today, and for a sweet treat that got me emotional today, thank you! And the singing was a beautiful surprise to me! The fresh scone with cream and fresh blueberry jam was the best I've ever had!

Brezza is breakfast perfection! The chilaquiles are crispy, flavorful, and loaded with goodness, while the banana pancakes are fluffy and just the right amount of sweet. Cozy vibes and great service--highly recommend!

    Mango tres leches

Wonderful restaurant with great dishes with generous portions. My friend and I shared the pesto pasta with chicken and the fish. The pesto was not the creamy kind. The fish was served on top of cous cous. Everything was well prepared. So good I forgot to take a picture. I did manage to get a picture of the mango tres leches (so so good). I learned they are going to be featured on Check Please soon!

We saw the restaurant on "Check, Please! Bay Area" (season 20, episode 8) and had to try it! The ambiance is perfect for all occasions! Great quality food made with love and Excellent Service! Owners, Heather and Hector are wonderful and they genuinely care about their customers! We will definitely go back and try more dishes!

Not bad but just really expensive food and not worth the price I feel like. It was $100 for dinner for Two. Service was fast and everything was quick. Ambiance was fine. Just was totally empty... we were the only people in the place. Salad was really good. Pot roast was decent. I don't think I would go back. It was fine.. I just think I would spend my money elsewhere if I'm dropping that much on a dinner.

If you've ever had Arsicault, then you'll understand what I mean when I say this place is a true contender. And the best part? You don't have to travel far, pay that toll bridge, or deal with expensive gas. Save all that and give this place a try! Do note: Canelé -- available Friday to Sunday Pastel de nata (Portuguese tarts) -- available Saturday & Sunday What I've tried: Croissant -- Yum, yum, yum! From end to end, it has that perfectly crunchy exterior, and not a hollow bite in sight. Every bite is flaky, buttery, and satisfying. Chocolate Croissant -- A must if you love chocolate. Rich, flaky, and indulgent. Almond Croissant -- Another delicious contender. Nutty, sweet, and absolutely worth it. Apricot Croissant -- Not bad at all. The apricot adds a nice touch without overpowering the pastry. Bostock -- This one was a miss for me. It looked beautiful, but it was missing that little finesse that makes you want another bite. Gâteau au Fromage (Basque Cheesecake) -- A bit pricey, but so worth the splurge because they really know how to nail it. One bite and you won't be able to stop until it's gone. Pastel de Nata -- Crispy edges with a delicate, creamy, and delicious filling. That crunch is everything. Canelé -- These babies sell fast, so make sure to get there when they open. I love the crunchy exterior paired with that soft, custardy inside. Yum, yum, yum! Chocolate Fondant -- Not bad, but not my favorite. I've definitely had better elsewhere. Chocolate Hazelnut Cake -- The flavor was nice, but I found this one just a tad dry. Bottom line: While not everything was a home run, their croissants, canelés, Basque cheesecake, and pastel de nata are absolutely worth coming back for. A hidden gem that delivers big on flavor without the long drive. Definitely worth the visit!

Such great offerings but when I'm getting my hair done, I'm in a rush to go back home/work. I finally made the time to visit Etoile! My sister was in town and getting her hair done. She needed a ride to the salon so off we went! We had an almond milk latte and a regular latte. We ordered it for here, so we asked to have them served in mugs. The lattes were delicious! There a good mix of students studying here. And some people working. It was a pretty quiet group when we were there. My sister and I sat at the counter and chatted very quietly. Nicely decorated inside. I love independently owned cafes like these! We also got a breakfast sandwich, but they are made to order and it took awhile, so we had it packed it up to go because she didn't want to be late to her hair appointment. Sandwich was great! The workers and the owner were all very kind and welcoming. I got there a little after they opened in the morning. As for the food, I ordered the kimchi fried rice along with the chicken and croffle. The fried chicken tasted a bit interesting. I'm not sure if the frying temperature was off or if it had something to do with the condition of the oil, but the texture of the breading wasn't quite right. I used to work at a fried chicken shop in Korea, so it was a texture I recognized--the coating was fully cooked and wasn't necessarily soggy, but there was no real crunch. Instead of being crispy, the breading was soft and kind of gave way when you bit into it. Unfortunately, I couldn't continue eating it. I'd give the chicken a 2/5. As for the kimchi fried rice, I liked the addition of cilantro and beets, which gave it a refreshing touch. My only issue was that the kimchi itself was way too sour for kimchi fried rice. I don't mind fermented or sour kimchi, but in this case, the sourness overpowered the rest of the dish. Overall, the cafe itself is cute and the people working there were genuinely very kind. I just wish the food had been a little better, especially the fried chicken. Will be back next time to try out the coffee!! It is a cafe after all.
