Always a great time at Elliot's! Super friendly staff, absolutely wonderful owners & fair prices. Cheers!

4 stars just because it's an iconic dive bar. Bring $ as its cash only. The only beer on tap is Bud Light but lots of bottle options. We got the Lagunitas IPA which was $5. A cool place to visit.

We were about the third customer when we arrived but by the time we left the place was packed - and again, there was one waitress. No bus boy, no cashier, just her. Don't get me wrong, the young lady was doing her best, and always with a smile and warm greeting for those walking in, but it was very clear she needed help. As we were leaving an older gentleman picked up a bin and started bussing tables. Clearly, they need two servers and a bus boy for the lunch rush. It is like that most times I am there. The food is great, well worth a visit.

To be fair, it has just changed ownership in the past couple of weeks. However, these new owners say they have had other restaurants. It doesn't feel like it. I've tried twice. Once for a lunch shrimp salad with dressing on the side and bread. Some of the chopped lettuce was brown around the edges. The dressing was not on the side but glopped allover the salad - way too much cheap bottled dressing. My bread came as almost toast about time for dessert. The service was sloooow and indifferent. The second time was today for a try at breakfast. The service was faster, but just as indifferent and careless. I did get to overhear the server go on at great length to her friend about her college(?) research project. I ordered scramble eggs with potatoes and toast. The extras in the scramble were good - bacon, tomatoes, spinach and cheese. The eggs were hard and brown. The hash browns started the day as a frozen slab of shredded potatoes that got fried to about 2 seconds short of burnt. The bill for this breakfast was $25.00 with coffee. (Yes. A little on the high side given the poor quality.) I initially tried to pay with cash - two $20.00's. The server said she couldn't make change. This is a half hour before lunch service started, when the cash register should be full and ready for business. Note: A regular server who provides terrific service was not working either of my two visits with the new management. That area could improve when she is there. Perhaps give this spot a miss, at least for a while - maybe until they get a handle on running a restaurant.

Came here with friends/compatriots for a dinner after a long day of work. The ambience is great,…read morethe staff very friendly and we were seated quickly. The menu is extensive enough for most tastes, and we did order a variety of foods to test that theory! The ones we ordered and have photos for include: Pear Quesadilla (Pears, brie cheese, flour tortilla, pear chutney); Calamari Fritti; New York White Cheddar Fondue; Bishop Ranch salad (Baby greens, pear, candied walnuts, blue cheese, balsamic vinaigrette); and for dessert: Warm Pear Tart (Puff pastry, vanilla ice cream, caramel), and a Seasonal Bread Pudding. The food came quickly and hot from the kitchen - except the salad and desserts! The food was very tasty, and the pear quesadilla and fondue were favorites for the uniqueness and the taste. The fondue had sliced pears along with the bread, a great change in the usual fondue take. The salad was also liked, fresh and a good variety of tastes and textures. They subbed the dressing for ranch. The desertas were also a hit, being shared. The warm pear tart was best liked, and very sweet and traditional in taste, but the bread pudding was also a close second. The pear tart was new to us, though. The service was great, and Cesar R. took good care of us. Overall, a great time! Can't wait for another excuse to be in the area for dinner.

We came late on a Saturday evening. I tried to French onion soup and lamb shank. Both were ok but seemed to be lacking something. The servers were really friendly and I will come back again. Their wine list is reasonably priced and heavily dominant with Wagner family wines. If Belle Glos, Caymus, and friends are your jam, this is the place for you.

Honestly, I thought this place was no longer operating until I had breakfast with George F. next door. Out of nostalgia, I decided to revisit this longstanding business on 06/07/2025 after a 30-plus year hiatus. I got here at around 6pm and it wasn't too busy. The interior pretty much looked the same since my visit. The original owner was long gone. I picked up a couple items - a large order of salt and pepper fish and a large order of sweet and sour pork. The total was a reasonable $25. Out of the two items, the fish was clearly the better one. The pieces were crispy on and flaky (disclosure: I put them in my air fryer after getting home since I had to make an additional stop prior), and the seasoning was alright. The sweet and sour pork, on the other hand, was very disappointing. The meat was dry and tough, and the sauce was neither sweet nor sour. Also, the way it was made was none that I had seen before. They used cut up pork cubes instead of battered and deep-fried pork nuggets. Portions were huge. We had a ton of leftovers. Overall, this is definitely a place to visit if you value quantity over quality. Personally, I would come back for the salt and pepper fish but definitely not the sweet and sour pork. 2.5 rounding up to 3 stars.
