Californian on Sourdough ($18.25, 2/5 stars)
    Melanie H.

You know how bread makes or breaks a sandwich? It was a total miss here. The sourdough was so soggy and lacked sourness so it was really bland. Initially I thought maybe the bread was soggy because of my very loaded Californian sandwich, but we ordered another sandwich that didn't come with slaw or cheese and removed sauce, and even THAT one was still soggy. I even tried retoasting the bread but to no avail because it still tasted far from sourdough. Really wanted to like this place and support a local business. I had high expectations for the quality given the prices and ratings. I'll give it to them that they use quality deli meat and have a fun menu with homemade sauces, hopefully they can continue to improve. One thing to note is you can't sub for a different sauce. PASS: + Californian ($18.25, 2/5 stars) felt very overwhelming to me with flavors mixing from the heavily vinegared slaw, Swiss, and garlic herb sauce

Solid sandwich shop in Livermore - we stopped by earlier this month after going paddle boarding nearby at Shadow Cliffs. We were seated right away, but they were understaffed and it took them a long time to take our order. When the server finally stopped by, we ordered drinks, appetizers and a few sandwiches, which arrived soon after. Our favorites: - The Americano: superb classic Italian sandwich. - Philly Cheesesteak: our teen enjoyed this. - BLTA: get this on Dutch Crunch! The appetizers (jalapeño poppers, arancini) and sides (onion rings, fries) were either under or overdone, but the sandwiches more than made up for it. Doing takeout next time.

My husband and I love going to Americano! The Food is absolutely fantastic! They have there famous Americano Sandwiches and many more to choose from! The Service is great! Very kind staff! The Ambiance is stunning! Feels like a family home when you walk in! We love the next renovated aesthetics!

Let me start by saying my go to place for a pastrami sandwich has always been Americano since I found them. my husband and I went in there today and ordered our usuals, the Mr. Fred (pastrami). They were quite busy and we had to wait longer than usual, but it was okay because the end result has always been an amazing sandwich, until today. We were very disappointed when our sandwiches arrived and they were not what we have been used to. It seemed like the pastrami was not the same quality that we are used to and the sandwich was very dry because there was very little godfather sauce and americano slaw (pretty much non existent). Im so used to seeing the owner's daughter in law, but she hasn't been there the last 2 times. I asked the server where she's been and he came up with a couple different answers. One answer was she hasn't been in in a couple months and she works at night. He was very unsure how to answer. I'm going to give it another try, on an evening, and see if she is there. We will see. Does anyone know if maybe there are different owners? P.S. When I went to eat my other half tonight, my Swiss cheese had been burnt.

Is it worth the $$$? Not to me. The sandwich was just ok. I had the King Kong, Hubby had the chicken parmesan with a lemonade and a side of fries, our total was $55. The fries were tasty. If it had been a huge sandwich, busting with ingredients, tasty, not thrown together and big enough to share....maybe. Perhaps their italian dishes are great, but I won't be finding out. Service was good..but the bathroom had a horrible smell, like sewage.

We were out in Livermore shopping at the outlets and wanted to grab some dinner. Italian was the theme and Americano was the choice. I chose Americano because of it won an award with the SJ Mercury. What I didn't realize was it won for their sandwiches. LOL. What do you do when it's dinner time and you go to a place known for its sandwiches? Order pasta. And if you haven't had pasta at Americano, you should!!!! The tetrazzini was fantastic. It is a baked dish with chicken, cheese and fettuccine. Just a delicious combo. The portion is large so deintiely shareable with two people. We also had the Rigatoni Bolognese (also a shareable portion). The bolognese was touted as homemade and you could tell. Bolognese is really about the time you give for the meats, tomato sauce and herbs meld together. And I can tell this one wa made with care. The place itself is mall with maybe a capacity max of 30-40. There was one server last night and she was busy. This place has nonstop sandwich orders to go. There was a constantly folks coming for food deliveries and to go orders. Our order took a little time but I could tell both pasta dishes were made to order, so I didn't mind. The sit down ambiance was very relaxed and homey in style. It's too bad Americano is all the way in Livermore, I'd deintiely want to try their sandwiches.

Came for lunch with coworkers and was not disappointed! Had the meatball sub on Dutch crunch and it was MASSIVE, and awesome Tiramisu too - just bummed they didn't have ice coffee to go along with it. Alexi was super friendly and provided amazing service. Will definitely be back, and probably cater some office lunches from them too!

I truly dislike having to write this, but today's visit was by far the most disappointing experience I've had at Americano. While their new kiosk design is sleek and modern, it shouldn't come at the cost of attentive service--I felt entirely overlooked. I've been here before, and although the sandwich construction was never stellar, today was a low point. I ordered the Tiger Woods sandwich and paid an extra $4 to add avocado. What I received looked like it had been carelessly assembled: the sandwich was sloppily cut, spilling out most of the ingredients immediately. The bacon was barely cooked--fatty and limp when it should've been crisp--and the avocado? I'm guessing they added a quarter slice at best. It was nearly absent. The entire experience made it feel like there was zero pride in the food's preparation, no care or thought put into it. When a business claims to make the "Best sandwiches in the Bay Area," they ought to stand by that promise. Sadly, this wasn't anywhere close. I sincerely hope the team takes this feedback to heart. Simple attention to detail--better cutting, properly cooked ingredients, and thoughtful service--can make all the difference.

It's been awhile since I've stop by! On the way to cherry picking and decide to grab something quick but unfourtunately if though the order say it was ready at a certain pickup time we ended waiting 30 min more! Prices has gone up ( what hasn't right) but the quality of the chicken actually decline for me! chicken was a bit tad on the dry side but they did have a good portion or meat and filling that help balance out the dryness /taste!

Niko was a great waitress! She accommodated my extreme thirst after working outside in the hotel sun all day with plenty of water and iced tea refills! There was hardly anyone else in there when I ate so occasionally we chatted a bit too which was nice. I ordered something similar to an Italian sandwich with crunch bread and it was very good -- the looks were deceiving because I was so full after eating half! The interior feels a little dated, but so many good Italian places are like that to keep the original charm. I would definitely come back when I'm in the area!

Small little place inside a shopping center. They have about 6-8 tables but I came by for a pick up. I decided to go with the Tiger Woods, hear me when I say this sandwich was delicious!! The texture of the Dutch crunch with the sauce and all the meats made this sandwich just taste amazing!! Okay so here's the only small things that didn't give it 5 stars. I order a small side of garlic fries and they were just okay nothing too impressive. Feel like it didn't have enough salt or garlic plus it didn't came with any sauce or even ketchup. The sandwiches are also pretty big which is amazing but kinda messy and didn't get any utensils or napkins. Other than that food was great, staff was amazing and the vibe is just really good here. Definitely coming back to get another sandwich and try more Items.

    Garlic fries.

I ordered Americano through DoorDash and it was a total hit. I got the meatball sandwich on Dutch crunch bread with garlic fries, and everything arrived hot, fresh, and delicious. The meatball sandwich was awesome tender, flavorful meatballs, rich marinara, and that Dutch crunch bread that somehow stayed perfectly textured even through delivery. Great balance, great flavor. The garlic fries were just as impressive. Super crispy, loaded with garlic, and still warm when they arrived. Easily some of the best delivered fries I've had. For a delivery meal, this was toptier. Americano really delivers (literally). I'd definitely order from them again.

Awful BLTA all greasy and full of hot bacon and an unsliced avocado.
    Dan B.

Worst sandwiches I've ever eaten, and they're way, way too proud of them. I ordered their BLTA- shows up with greasy, hot bacon- So much grease it soaked through the wrap- a half an avocado- uncut- and was just absolutely awful. Every time I give them another chance it's not just a disappointment but inedible. And it was $90 for TWO SANDWICHES and a side of fries. Never again.

The ambiance is cute with a small closed off glass area of wine and two seater table inside! Our waitress Dominique was amazing. She was able to give great recommendations for wines and food. She also made us feel taken cared of and was friendly/warm. The food is a mix of mexican/euro/american so there were a lot of different options. Here are the things we got: Appetizers - Parm crusted cauliflower: so good, nice and crunchy but not too heavily breaded. The chipotle mayo was delish - Chicharrones: so light and crispy! They were hot out of the fryer. It had a side of a corn cheese dip that was so good and made it more unique of a dish -- must try if you even kind of eat chicharrones. I don't generally like pork skin but I enjoyed it regardless. - Hamachi ceviche: this is a large sharing portion with chunks of hamachi and avocado. Good but not a must have. Entrees - Enchiladas: very cheesy and overall a good dish but I would skip this. - Shrimp tostadas: large size shrimp and it just comes with two tostadas so I don't think it was worth the price - Barramundi fillet: The fish was tender and juicy. I liked the marinades that came with it. I liked this dish with the rice because it made me feel homey. Good portion of fish. - Agua Chile Ribeye: This is a must have! The ribeye is sous vide so it was soo tender and juicy. The broth was really nice to keep everything moist and flavorful. Because we were celebrating a birthday, Dominique made a dessert with a nice special touch. Will definitely be back again!

We started our meal with appetizers--Mama Carmela's Meatballs were three oversized meatballs in tomato sauce, topped with Parmesan and crostini (garlic toast); the Fritto Misto was a plate of lightly breaded Monterey calamari, tiger prawns, zucchini, and artichokes, served with a side of creamy capri sauce for dipping; and the Octopus All'insalata was a salad of lightly dressed arugula, olives, cherry tomatoes, and fennel, topped with tender pieces of octopus tentacle. The appetizers were decent, but the real highlight of this restaurant was their freshly-baked pizzas. The Amalfi was a light, summery combination of yellow San Marzano tomato sauce, fiori di latte, burrata, pesto, and red Sicilian Datterino tomatoes; and the Norcina was an aromatic, umami combination of truffle crema, fiori di latte, Italian sausage, and mushrooms. Both were absolutely delicious, and the best part was the authentic Neapolitan pizza crust--thin, light, and chewy all at the same time! Overall, this was a fantastic dining destination with quick, friendly service and a beautiful atmosphere too.

It is tucked into an unassuming shopping center, but absolutely worth seeking out. Once inside, it feels less like a restaurant and more like you have been invited over to a friend's dining room. It is warm, relaxed, and genuinely welcoming. The service hits that perfect balance. It is friendly, attentive, and never overbearing. You feel taken care of without it being a production. The food really delivers. The special, chicken thighs stuffed with smoked ham, was standout and memorable. The margarita pizza is exactly what you want it to be. It is simple, well executed, and perfect for sharing. Do not let the "small" size fool you. It is easily enough for two, maybe even three if you are catching up over drinks. Portions across the board are generous. The fish entrees are especially impressive. The salmon alone felt like it had to be close to half a pound. All of this comes at prices that feel more than fair for the quality and quantity you are getting. This is definitely a spot worth returning to. I am already looking forward to coming back to try the paninis for lunch.

I would recommend the hostess that greets you to have a smile or be more pleasant. The food like I said was average. We each had appetizer and main course. If you have nowhere else to go, okay to come here but I most likely won't return.

The ambiance, and most importantly the food absolutely scream to be located on Washington St in Yountville where they could make a billion dollars. Menu changes daily, not usually posted on their website until around 3pm so check often and if you see something you like on said menu, book a reservation immediately as it fills up quick. Bar and inside dining are great, but the outdoor patio is the spot. Lovely in the sun and if it gets chilly they have heaters and blankets (nice touch with the blankets). Back to the food, it's phenomenal. Every dish well thought out with the freshest ingredients possible; elevated and executed to perfection. Pasta is perfectly al dente and has that "chew" everyone tries to get, but rarely pulls off and rarer still, as well as Range Life does it. Servers, bartenders and host make for a truly welcoming environment. A place you want to sit down; eat, drink and be merry. It's akin to being transported to a place that you'll never want to leave. To hell with Disneyland, when I win the Super Bowl, I'm coming here. I assure you if you haven't been yet, you'll be back time and time again. Consider yourself warned. If you have experienced it before then you know exactly what I'm talking about and no further explanation is needed. Last night I went there for the 5th time. I've been there on dates and with big groups. Most of the time it has been amazing. This last meal, however, was flawless, and it inspired me to share today. First off, we did not have reservations on a Saturday night, and they were still able to get us 2 seats at the bar in 45 minutes, which was a relief. I was open to going to other downtown Livermore highlights such as Bourbon Pear or Il Campo, but was hoping on a whim we could get a seat at Range Life (which would typically require a reservation), since my date had not been there before. Once we got our seats, we were met with amazing service. At the moment I am not drinking, so I was wondering what kind of mocktails or non-alcoholic beers they had. Beforehand I was also wondering if they had a non-alcoholic aperitivo, since I know they have a lot of amaros and bitters. To my surprise, they did, so I had a non-alcoholic spritz, which was amazing. From there, we were only looking to get the highlighted entrées -- a black cod and a flat iron steak -- but we were also talked into getting one of their tartare/crudo options. We decided to go with the Amberjack crudo, which was absolutely amazing. It had mustard greens, fig leaf oil, and fresh early-season cherries, each ingredient something you were able to truly appreciate. The fig leaf oil, the fish, and the cherries were stunning, with the mustard greens providing a nice balance. From there we shared both the black cod and the grass fed flat iron steak. The flat iron steak was perfectly cooked, tender, and flavorful (despite being grassfed) that came with an amazing herb butter, mashed potatoes, and a porcini mushroom sauce that was absolutely to die for. The black cod was cooked to perfection as well -- tender, flaky, reminiscent of the butterfish I always have in Waikiki at Roy's. Accompanied by Iocopi English peas, bok choy, and turnips with dashi butter. The peas were, for what it's worth, probably the best peas I've ever had, and the vegetables were perfection. Light but amazing. The combination of both entrées was outstanding. Lastly, we had the famous Milk and Honey -- burnt honeycomb, olive oil, and malted milk ice cream. I've had it about 4 times now, and yet it was still surprisingly mind-blowing. I know something is truly amazing when I have to close my eyes and imagine the flavors bursting like a scene from the movie Ratatouille. I had to close my eyes to truly appreciate the crispy, sweet but slightly savory honeycomb, the fresh ice cream, and the olive oil for balance. The meal was absolutely flawless, and with the aperitivo, the Topo Chico, both entrées, and dessert, it came to $150 before tip. Honestly, it's a steal. I spent $300 at LB last weekend for a birthday dinner -- granted, I did get some A5 wagyu, an $80 14-ounce ribeye, a bunch of sides, and a couple of non-alcoholic drinks, which was amazing, but hardly a fair comparison. And if you go to the city or Oakland, you can easily spend $300-$500 on a meal, more if they have a Michelin star or two (or three). But for the quality you get, Range Life is an amazing deal. The fact that you can get this quality in Livermore is both convenient and remarkable.

It used to be difficult, but now, with a child on board, it can be a nightmare. But 16 months in with a child, i have become a pro now. So I picked a place that hit all the marks. Bruno's. The food was great, the ambience was pretty chill that night, but the service could be better next time. Son loved the pizza and fried Ravioli. Wife enjoyed her ravioli and dessert. I ate a bit of everything. I do want to say that i did enjoy the pizza the most, the way the cheese would stretch when removing the slice was mouthwatering! Word of advice though, let it cool for a couple minutes, the pizza is blazing hot. The service was a bit lacking since our waiter didn't check up on us as often as I've been used to at other similar restaurants. I only had my glass of water refilled once, and i tend to drink at least four. What can i say? I love water. Besides this, food came out fast. I'll give them that. All in all, i would bring my family here again due to the delicious food!
