I ordered the Cheesy Garlic Bread for $8.00 with, roasted garlic butter and mozzarella, and their Cheese Ravioli for $15.00 with roasted tomato and garlic cream sauce. Both items were delicious, plenty of creamy garlic and red sauce on my raviolis, and the cheesy garlic bread filled my craving. The to go orders take around 15 - 20 minutes. Have enjoyed many dinner at Strizzi's over the years and I feel they have improved in the years following Corona lockdown. They offer a good break on early dinner before 6pm. Service has been consistently good and we know some of the servers by name. Food portions are generous and fresh. We were looking for a restaurant that's near Meadowlark. We are walking down the street and found Strizzi's restaurant. Because the weather was nice, we decided to sit outside, we ordered the garlic prawns, the scallops Provençal, brussels sprouts, a kids, pepperoni, pizza, and kids buttered noodles with white chocolate, ice cream and vanilla ice cream. The service was really amazing, we were the only people eating outside, even though the weather was nice, but we had kids and it was kind of loud inside, but we didn't want the kids to be even louder because they couldn't hear each other. Our weight staff kept checking on us even after we were done eating and they didn't get mad that our kids were being kids outside and it was just a really nice experience. Next time, I'm totally ordering the scallops Provençal again! They were cooked perfectly and not overcook in the sauce that was so yummy to dunk the bread into. read more

It was a late Sunday afternoon. Their brunch hour ended at 2 pm. Inside dining room clear. I had a pick of tables. On this day, I was looking for spaghetti and meatballs with a wild desire for clam chowder. I was happy to see they off a meal special that included soup with an entree and they had clam chowder. It was my lucky day. The clam chowder was served hot with plenty of potato and clam bits. And the star dish was the spaghetti and meatballs. The sauce was thick, not watery, thank god. Showed up to this place after going wine tasting, it was 10 of us. We didn't order appetizers, my in-laws complained I'm so sorry we should have also ordered them. Italian culture in restaurants is to have a long dinner I've seen that at every restaurant it is your culture you do it the way of the culture. I unfortunately ordered a burger, I mean it was amazing but it's an Italian restaurant, I should have ordered pasta. I had pasta the previous night at home , and it was my mother in laws birthday it was just meant to be order of events. The Pleasanton downtown area is very nice and has a happy + relaxed feel to the neighborhood. We had a reservation so we were seated right away. We were both starving so we dove straight into the entres! Can I just say? That the food here is an absolute masterpiece! It is always so amazingly refreshing to enjoy genuine Italian cuisine at an Italian restaurant. Some places don't meet the authentic Italian mark but Strizzi's restaurant does! lol. I ordered the Seafood Fettuccine which features Hokkaido Scallops and white shrimp in their seafood cream sauce. ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS! The scallops were cooked to perfection and the pasta was packed with so much satisfyingly delicious flavor. The speciality sauce was so buttery/cheesy it was amazing! I am a huge fan of seafood pasta and this definitely gets high praise from me. My friend ordered the Grilled Chicken which is marinated and grilled with roasted mushrooms, roasted garlic mashed potatoes and pan roasted veggies. AMAZING! I'm not even kidding. I know that "Grilled Chicken" sounds super boring LOL but the Strizzi's restaurant version is absolutely astonishing. The chicken was marinated to absolute perfection. It was delightfully juicy and the mash potatoes and veggies were perfect as well. Highly recommend! BOTH entrees were sheer perfection and I was sooo impressed with the food quality here. Absolutely immaculate. Unfortunately we came here on a day where there was a lot of people and limited staff but Strizzi's gave us a complimentary dessert option that made us feel very appreciated. We went to Strizzi's for dinner last night. When we got there, there was only one other couple in the restaurant. That should've been a red flag from the beginning. The waitress was friendly and helpful, but the service was very slow. After we received our dinner the waitress noticed they made my salad wrong and took it back. After bringing my salad back for the second time, we didn't see her again. We had to flag her down and asked for our check to leave. We ordered the woodfired chicken. It was the smallest amount of chicken with about a cup of mashed potatoes and vegetables for $32. I ordered a dinner salad that came on a small plate with four shrimp. It was $23. I've been coming here for years. It was very disappointing and will not go back. The prices are very high. Our order was incorrect, and the service was not great. read more

We were in downtown Pleasanton doing some errands and felt like Italian food. I've been to two other Strizzis locations and have always had some good pastas. The Pleasanton location is on a corner of Main Street with a parking lot in the rear. There is indoor and outdoor dining. We wound up going with the half pasta and half soup each. Strizzis was awesome. I had a large catering order yesterday. (120 people) First, their catering manager was so helpful in getting the order put together. Her advise was wonderful. She followed up immediately and made adjustments for student needs. On the day of, we ran out of food, (my fault). The staff had what I needed and then some in minutes. They made additional trays and we got everyone fed and happy. The food was delicious. This is not the fist time I have hired Strizzis so I know it is the way they do business! This is a great Italian restaurant with tasty homemade pastas and sauces. I'm surprised it's not rated higher. It definitely should be. We ate here because it has a small but nice patio area perfect for eating outside with your dog. Little did we know the food was going to be so good. From 4-6 p.m. they have an early bird special where you get a salad free with your entree dinner, and your choice of a dessert half off. This was a great deal! We were told by our waiter, Adrian, that the Fuji Apple Salad was superb. We tried it, and confirmed it was indeed superb. For our entrees we had the Italian Sausage Pappardelle and the Spaghetti & Meatballs. Both were delicious with outstanding seasonings and flavors. I know some people may think pasta is pasta and how different could it be from something you'd make at home. Trust me, it's a lot better than anything you'd make at home. To top it all off, we had the Tiramisu for dessert, and it was a perfect end to a delicious dinner. As for the service, ask for Adrian. He provided excellent service. We stopped by the area for some ice cream but decided to get a quick bite before we left. We came across Strizzi's since we were looking for some fettuccine alfredo. We came within an hour of closing and were quickly seated and served with bread & water. We had split a serving of chicken fettuccine alfredo which was made super fast. The portion sizes were really good and the food was delicious & fulfilled the craving. Parking is mostly street parking with some nearby parking lots. We found this place while in the area looking for a good place to have light bites and wine. Having seen Strizzi's all over the Bay Area, I knew I had to at least pop in and try them out. The restaurant was elegant, with high tops at front and regular tables laid out throughout the rest of the space. It took us awhile to be acknowledged and greeted when entering. It seemed at first that the staff were unsure whether we were meeting someone there or waiting to be seated, but I'm certain we weren't putting out confused or awkward looks. A simple "be right with you!" would have gone far. When we were finally seated, our server was kind and attentive and gave us recommendations for what to order. She provided stand out service, and I'm so happy she checked in on us regularly and knew when to give us more time to think about what to order, and if we were just sitting around to chat and talk more. We ordered the brussels sprouts, bruschetta, and a cab sauvignon from Longevity. Everything was great, but the portion sizes could've been a teensy bit bigger for the price point! Strizzi's is certainly not my 1st choice when thinking of where to eat, but I definitely won't refuse a visit back if presented with the option. read more

Not great. Salad was swimming and uneatable 1/2 bottle of dressing dumped on it. Special fish (Sole) was several tail pieces mushed together with 1 tsp of sauce. Asked for more sauce and got a small chunk of cold butter....Cold mash potatoes and veggies. Waitress came by with bread but no butter - however had 2 portions of butter on her tray and gave it to the other tables even though I asked for it. Other tables looked like they were regulars and got decent food, ( whole fillet of Sole with extra large hot melted sauce on the side, crisp not overdressed salads, butter was served with the bread), but for some reason it seemed like the waitress had it out for us and gave us bad food and service. Unless you are a regular, I would not go to Strizzi's restaurant and do not recommend it. read more

Didn't mean to get dinner in the area but we had a lil hunger in us so my girlfriend and I tried to find a place that would have fettuccine alfredo. Which is a lil hard in the area apparently. EXCEPT THIS PLACE. We had ordered just that and they were able to split the dish on to two plates before they were served. Not sure if I was hungry or the pasta was real good but I scarfed that thing down so fast. The sauce was pretty good in my opinion and I would've ordered more pasta to go with the sauce. As for the bread, I wish it was a lil more warm so it would be easier to dip and eat with the balsamic vinegar and olive oil. Unless it was because they were an hour away from closing so that may be a reason. Came here on a weekday for dinner! We were going to stop by Baron's but they were closed for a private event so we decided to have a quick dinner here. We got seated quickly and was served free house bread. From 2 pm-6pm, you get a free salad or soup with your entree order. I opted for the clam chowder and the husband got the house salad. I'm not kidding...it was one of the best clam chowders I've ever had! So I highly recommend getting that. The husband ordered the grilled chicken dinner plate (comes with mashed potato and grilled veggies) and I ordered the Cajun chicken risotto. My risotto was a bit too flavorful for me. I'm used to a creamy and rich risotto and this one had a spicy kick to it. It wasn't that creamy but it's still pretty good! The grilled chicken was tender and juicy. We also ordered two alcoholic drinks and our total bill came out to be almost $90 with tip. Eating in downtown Pleasanton isn't exactly cheap but it's ok to splurge once in a while. Easy street parking and you can sometimes find parking in one of the parking lots. read more

PRIVATE EVENT REVIEW: We had our work holiday party here for a group of about 80 people, and it was a success. Strizzi's is located on a corner in downtown Pleasanton with a few tables and cement benches outside. Inside there are a more tables (mostly 2-person) and a bar. In the center they laid out all the food, which included appetizers and several heated trays of pasta. They also had a table in the back for soft drinks, wine and beer. The staff was extremely attentive. They came around often asking if we needed refills and taking away empty plates. The food? It was all very good. The appetizers included meatballs, Brussels sprouts, crostinis, and bread. There were also 2 large heated trays of pastas: one with marinara and the other Alfredo. Everything was delicious. We had the place for 3 hours (3pm-6pm). The food and the service was top rate. I'd highly recommend this place for a private event. However, since this was a work event, I don't know how affordable it is. read more

BUT In the past 3 months, Strizzi's had been catering chamber of commerce mixer events, where I would literally run to the food and stay there instead of socialize (this may or may not be a joke lol). Their RIGATONI BOLOGNESE and MEATBALLS!!!!! My GOODNESS the MEATBALLS!!!!!! I need it! Katie arrived on time, was very personable and professional, set everything up as requested, and amazingly presented the buffet of deliciousness! The food was so AMAZING!! I ordered the Fuji Walnut salad, which I highly recommend. For the pasta dishes, I ordered the cheese ravioli, which was the favorite, and no leftovers. My second choice was the Italian Sausage penne, another hit. And lastly, the boss's favorite, Chicken Pesto & Pine Nuts.. So Yummy! Then I decided to check in at Strizzis. Have only been to the Livermore location one time. They were available and we gladly swooped in to take our table and so glad we did because by the time we ordered, there wasn't a single available table in the restaurant. I guess it's popular with their loyal customers from the time that the new generation Pleasanton restaurants were not there and there might have been other people like us looking to get a meal in last minute. Was looking for a casual weeknight dinner and asked the kiddos what they were in the mood for. One of the them shouted spaghetti and I yelled back I can do that! So the search went for good pasta. Normally go to De La Rosa but wanted to try something different this time. Was in the Ptown area so found this place Strizzi's to try out. GOt checked in and while cozy, it wasn't particularly busy so we had nice covid spacing for us to enjoy our dinner. The environment was San Francisco esque, with dark woods and open kitchen and outside street reminding me of the Divis or something. Perused the menu and was a bit shocked at the pricing. We may not have been in the City, but the prices were sure as hell City prices. Adults got a couple glasses of wine, a lasagna, and salmon rissoto. The wine was fine and always goes great after a long week and some good food. The lasagna was very good, a touch on the small side for $25, but it was still pretty good. Nice layers of cheese with bits of meat and sausage inside. It's supposed to be house scratch made and looks to be. I'd recommend. The salmon risotto was great as well and at over $30, it better be. You can smell the wildness of the salmon, but the risotto was perfectly done. It wasn't overly creamy which I hate. Perfect consistency and great flavor. Kids spaghetti was good as the little one mopped it up. Kids pizza - pass. Thank me later. It looked and tasted like a microwave had done it in. First time the kid didn't finish a kid's size pizza. Overall great service, great ambiance, good food. But set your expectations as to pricing. We did not expect to spend $125 + tip on this night. I hate to post this review. I have lived in the east bay my whole life, and was excited to take my husband here for the first time today for a late lunch. It was so comically bad that one of the employees made a joke about the poor service. We weren't even complaining at that point. My husband tried to muscle through it, but our mains were barely warm and not even good cold. I will say I liked my salad, but my husband's was so drenched in dressing that he didn't want his. I remember coming to Strizzi's as a special occasion place, but wow. I don't understand why they do intermediate service between lunch and dinner if this is the product they put out. Just reset for dinner. You're wasting money otherwise. Ambiance was nice enough. I appreciate the smell of the wood fire grill and the fact it's on the shady side of the street in the afternoon if you want to sit outside. That earned the second star on the review. Came here on a busy Friday night where our original dinner place was too busy and wasn't accepting walk ups. Similarly here they were full of reservations and we were the last walk-in (we were a group of 2) to be seated for a while. The staff was super helpful letting me know that they can create anything with the ingredients they have for a vegan entree. I asked for penne with marinara and veggies. I really liked the snap peas they put in with the veggies. Is it the most exciting thing to eat, no, but I was appreciative they added veggies. I recommend that they add a nice vegan pasta to the menu that is a little more flavorful and not as basic. We also ordered the Brussels sprouts to share and those are vegan as is and was so delicious. The service here was super nice but with it being a busy night we waited so long to pay the check and then get a receipt. If you are looking for a vegan option they can make you one. read more
