Sourdough is a chain similar to Subway and it's friends. I like it better than Subway but not as well as a full service New York deli like Domenico's in Danville, or even better the many corner delis in Manhattan. I had a Reuben pastrami that came with a marble rye. To Sourdough's credit, marble rye is an excellent choice! Many delis don't have marble rye bread. The restaurant is clean and nicely maintained. Ordered online and Italian sub. Which doesn't include mayonnaise since I'm allergic to egg. After eating almost half the sandwich I realized there is mayonnaise on it. Are you even from the SF Bay Area if you can't appreciate a good sourdough sandwich? The bread is true to the name, though I would love to see some more vegetarian options. On this occasion we got the Caprese and the Roast Beef. I though the Caprese was good but could have used a bit more filling of everything (Tomatoes, pesto aioli and the mozzarella), there were parts of the sandwich where I was just eating the bread and it can get pretty bland. Overall a decent sandwich shop tucked into the Fallon shopping area. There is little seating inside so you can always sit outside when the weather is nice, which is what we ended up doing. My friend told me about this place and I had to give it a try. I have ate at many sandwich shops before, and she told me that it is better then most chain sandwich shops you go to. When browsing the menu, I was immediately drawn into the peppered turkey option. My go to is usually a roast beef, but any shop that serves peppered turkey deserves a taste from me. The sandwich was really good along with the sourdough bread. It was plentiful with the size I got. The side salad accompanied it really well and it felt refreshing overall. I FINALLY found this place. 3rd times a charm! It's right next to the Starbucks drive thru, behind Chevron. Glad we kept looking! We arrived to Dublin Kaiser quite a bit early for hubby's first Covid-19 vaccine. We decided to grab lunch and find a nice spot for a picnic. It worked out nicely. We ordered; 8" Italian with everything and added (free) sliced pepperocini's for Mr M he LOVED it... While he would never admit to being picky. He is, so 2 thumbs up is amazing for him! I wanted to try everything but settled for a 4" Veggie sandwich and small soup, Mondays they served Fire roasted vegetable soup. Everyday they have 2 choices. Both were very good. I was very happy with the soup as sometimes they can be disappointing. Not here, good and the bread that comes with was soft and amazing. All breads baked inhouse! The cookies looked amazing, I ordered a peanutbutter and he said it was a lemon cookie... ok well then I'll have a lemon cookie. He forgot the cookie, but he didn't charge me. Okay so as much as I love their sandwiches, we need to address the fact that this is one of the best places to grab a quick lunch break salad to go in Livermore! They salads are fresh , filling, and everything I could ask for (and have missed since moving here). And now for the sandwiches -- their bread is absolutely incredible! I'm a huge fan of their french dip and the gourmet turkey breast with cranberry but i have yet to try a sandwich from here that i haven't loved. This place is DELICIOUS! This is my new sandwich shop. There is plenty of parking and the service was awesome. The cashier helped me decide what to order and it was the most perfect recommendation. The seating inside is limited and they also have a couple tables outside. There is a pretty cool soda machine with a lot of unique Coke products. Just stopped in for a quick bite to eat. My husband and I had a Cobb salad. To our delight, we were amazed how genuinely fresh the vegetables were, including crisp lettuce and fresh sourdough bread. I was in the Modern Dublin area to help assemble furniture for a friend of mine so I suggested we grab a few sandwiches from Sourdough Co. I did peek at their vast menu so my eyes and taste buds targeted on their Hot Pastrami #6. I wanted to compare it against the famous Togo's #9, Hot Pastrami since that's all I've had over the many years since I started going to Togo's back in the mid-late 70's. It was also my mom's favorite. I will say the Sourdough Co #6 is not a bad sandwich but it is different from the Togo's #9. For one, the bread is considerably different. Sourdough Co uses a toasted sourdough roll, while Togo's uses a plain sweet french roll. The taste and texture of pastrami, I have to say the Sourdough Co was a bit dry. Togo's #9 has more taste, likely because it's fatty and oily. The fresh ingredients are similar. My personal pick, I still prefer Togo's #9 for best taste, but the Sourdough Co has a great sandwich too... read more
