This review is based solely on the amazing Vietnamese/Signature iced coffee. Wow! Priced at $6.50 a pop, it was everything and more. I needed a refuel and it def did the trick! Would be more than happy to come back to any Lees location to try their banh mi including the BBQ Pork, Teriyaki Chicken, or Shredded Chicken. I noticed you could also do any Banh Mi as a bowl too! They also have brekky sandwiches served on a baguette or croissant, appetizers, soups, tea/smoothies/other drink options, and more. I usually don't like to leave bad reviews unless I felt the need for it as I also own a business. Food industry is such a big customer service industry that if food was mediocre but the service is awesome, you will do ok. I've been to many other Lee sandwich locations and have to admit most of them don't offer friendly customer service but at this particular location, i've noticed that the cashiers are usually students and friendly. I made a visit since I had a little time for breakfast before I get to work and I've never really have problems before but this time I walked in around 10:30 and luckily, I was the only one there. I ordered two orders of garlic bread, some sesame balls, and Vietnamese coffee with a gentlemen at the counter who was definitely friendly . Not long after more people showed up and started to fill up real quickly. I've seen two or three customers walking out with a couple of sandwiches and coffees, which left me in 10 minutes of waiting then I hear the gentleman asking the food prep in the back for the garlic bread. Everyone looked around and then he had to go help another customer. Another couple of customers walked out with a few more sandwiches still no sign of my garlic bread, then I heard the gentleman asking again if the garlic bread was ready, and I've seen one of the ladies shrugging her shoulders with no answer then he went on to help more customers as the place started filling up more. This went on for about 20 minutes. I finally got tired of waiting, so I went to the side of the counter, waiting for the gentleman to be available and ask him if I can just cancel my garlic bread but he asked me to hold on and turn to the back and ask the ladies in the back one more time if the garlic bread was ready, then I heard older Employee shouting at him, one order of garlic bread and then he said no 2 orders of garlic bread. She repeated what he said and said with a very annoyed tone . He went back to helping other customers, at this point she walked towards what I assuming where the toaster oven is and glares at me. As she starts to prep the bread she glares at me again with the most annoying look on her face so I looked at back in confusion as to why she was looking at me like that, she didn't even turn away when I looked at her. At this point, I was so confused. I asked the gentleman to cancel the order but he was so busy. He asked me to just wait so I stood there for five more minutes. I finally got the order so I decided to just leave with it, but I couldn't help leaving feeling very uncomfortable and confused. I sat there for 25 minutes for four garlic baguettes that take less than 5 minutes to prep while they prepared Atleast 10-15 sandwiches that I watched customers walk out with and then I get glared at by their employee? I didn't yell, complained or gave a hard time. I understand sometimes businesses can get busy but for a person in the front to ask three times for the most easiest thing to make was ready and get ignored, and my order was the very first order before anyone else is absolutely not ok. It's football season. I order a lot of chicken wings and sandwiches from here, but I will definitely visit other place. If your staff are preparing food for customers and they're going to make customers feel like a burden and they don't want to be there to work why are they even there? Maybe they should think about a different industry to work that doesn't involve customer service. I'm only giving another star for the cashiers effort, otherwise it would have been a 1 star review. read more

I loooooove Lee's Sandwiches Viet iced coffee T-T I grew up frequenting their locations in San Jose, so maybe there's also a nostalgia factor to it. I haven't ordered a sandwich from here in a long time, so this review is just for the coffee LOL Banana Cream Coffee (small $7.50): I do not dare get a large no matter what kind of day I'm having, so I cannot speak to the price of a large size. I heard about Lee's coming out with Biscoff and Banana Cream flavors, so I was excited to try. Goodness me I was not expecting slices of banana and a Nilla wafer topping off my drink!! I was super excited when I saw Lee's sandwich in Dublin. They are well know for their hot and fresh crispy baguette (banh mi). Big disappointment after I got the banh mi. We ordered combination banh mi and grilled chicken banh mi. The bread is cold and hard like a rock!!! When bite into the bread it's falling apart (seems like the bread left out for days thats why they are hard and doesn't have anymore chewy texture to it) the pate got the bitter taste and funky smell to it. The chicken banh mi is no different. Chicken is super cold and dried. 2 banh mi for $20. Not worth it at all. I would never come back to this location. Customer service is mediocre. You walked in the vibe you get is like what do you want? why are you here? So we decided to place our order at the self order machine at the left corner next to the door when you walk in. I've had Lee's Sandwiches plenty of times back when I lived in the South Bay. I'm Vietnamese and Lee's is kind of like McDonald's for us. It's not the best banh mi but it usually gets the job done when you're craving one. This location is much smaller compared to other Lee's I've been to. I ordered the vegetarian bì chay banh mi with shredded fried tofu, taro, and veggies, which is usually my go to when I want a vegetarian sandwich. I haven't had Lee's in a long time since there are so many better banh mi spots now, and this visit reminded me why. The biggest issue is the bread. Vietnamese baguettes are supposed to be slightly crisp on the outside but light and airy on the inside. The bread here was really dense and chewy and tasted doughy. Lee's bread has never been great in my opinion. At other locations it's usually too dense and overly hard to the point it scrapes the roof of your mouth. This one was just bad in a different way. It was heavy and doughy without that light texture you expect. The filling itself was fine and the mayo was good, but the bread really ruined the sandwich. I probably won't be coming back since the bread was not what I expected, especially since I've had Lee's many times before. read more

So I love Lees Sandwiches but I normally go to the one in San Jose. And you never know what type of workers and food quality you'll get with different locations. And I will say, this one did not disappoint. My Vietnamese coffee was on point! It's my favorite thing on the menu and I can drink it all day long. Perfectly delicious and refreshing! I had an interesting experience here! I decided to try the Vietnamese iced coffee with extra ice. I don't usually drink coffee, but I thought the extra ice would make it lighter. OMG -- it was so strong! I was completely wired and didn't feel great for the rest of the day. Definitely too strong for me, but I have to admit it had a really nice flavor. I also ordered the pork, shrimp, and taro roll, which was absolutely delicious. The texture and flavor were spot on, and it paired perfectly with the sweet and sour sauce. Love Lee's caramelized beef banh mi sandwich. Had picked up a sandwich to take to the park, even after a couple hours and cold it was still delicious. Also picked up an order of the deep fried sesame, mung bean balls that were super crunchy and yummy along with an order of the pork egg rolls. When you walk in, there's a selection of hot goods in a counter display and usually they have to go food on the counter but today they didn't. Too bad we don't have a Lee's the valley. read more

Worst Lee's ever. I understand this is a chain restaurant, but by far in the Bay Area, this has to be the worst Lee's sandwich. Tbh, this shouldn't even be called Lees. I was so excited when I saw a lees opening in the tri valley, but only to be disappointed by the quality of food and ingredients. The sandwiches are subpar at best. Now when I crave for a banh mi, I go next store for a bagel. You may ask, but a bagel isn't a banh mi, correct , bc lees here is that terrible, I'd rather choose something else. We've been here before and also catered from them before. Our experiences with food quality is pretty consistent. My significant other likes their sandwiches a lot but I really like their bowls. We got the grilled pork bowl and the portobello bowl the other day. Both were generous servings. Even though portobello stir-fry can sound a bit plain, this dish was packed with flavor! We also like their grilled pork sausage sandwiches too. For catering orders, we really appreciate how easy it was to communicate with the owner, and that the staff went the extra mile to wrap each half sandwich so that our guests could try different half sandwiches and also not they needed to eat whole sandwich if they could only eat half. Pickup was also super easy-we paid in advance and the order was ready for pick up day of the event. Would definitely consider catering from them again. Service is generally efficient. It can get messy and bread crumbs get every where. Cafe sua da is always good and strong. Wished their cha lua banh mi came with pate instead of it being an add on compared to other spots. The pork egg rolls are fresh and crispy. Have tons of filling in them. Overall a good spot if you're craving banh mi but there are better options in the area. Pricing is a bit high though. read more

Set your expectations low. This is not a good place to get your Vietnamese food fix. If you have the money- Uber Eats your food from another location. Service is bad. Food is bad.
