Decided to stop for a break after a hectic day. A sip of warm coffee, and a bite of cake, and the world starts slowing down.. I came with a couple friends! We got the buttercream bread, sweet rice donut, chocolate cloud cake, milk cornet, and the strawberry milk bread. For drinks we got the red velvet hot cocoa and the caramel macchiato. The buttercream bread was my absolute favorite out of the bunch. The butter cream wasn't too sweet and the bread was sooo soft. The ratio of cream to bread was just right, so each bite of bread had a sweet balance of the fluffy cream. The sweet rice donut was okay. To be, it could have been more softer, but it was expected for it to go stale a little bit since it's been out lying for a while. Some things are just unavoidable. The chocolate cloud cake was really good, but there was so much cream. Unlike the buttercream bread, there was imbalance here, but I adored the giant strawberries sandwiched between the cream. The consistency of the actual cake was perfect though, because sometimes I know it can get really soggy from the cream. Next time I would give another cake a try instead. The milk cornet was great! Tried it out because it seemed really popular; there was only one left. This pastry like a croissant stuffed with milky cream. The cornet was perfectly crunchy and the milk cream wasn't too sweet. Next time, I want to give the blueberry version a try. The strawberry milk bread impressed me. It was super soft, and I like how there was a really small amount of cream. Like, I understood what the cream was trying to do there. One bite of just bread would be pretty dry, but a little bit of cream can help smooth things out but still keep the spotlight on the bread. The red velvet hot cocoa drink was what surprised me the most. I suppose this drink is Valentines day edition, so it's not always here. I was so surprised when I opened the lid and saw hot pink foam! Like, DANG! Tous les jours really went out of their way to give us a sip of Valentines day! This drink is on the sweeter end, though. A friend said that the caramel macchiato was just okay, nothing surprising or impressive about it. I guess it was a safe order. The baristas were really efficient with our drinks; both drinks took five minutes or less! I love the interior of this bakery. So cute yet so easygoing. This place is amazingly cute when you walk inside. It's actually half a bakery on the left side and on the right side is the actual café where I walked in and saw people socializing and doing work and other things. I like this concept a lot and it does remind me of the other location, not affiliated in Pleasant Hill, Paris baguette. It was really hard to decide from all the different desserts that they had on display for what to get, but I decided on a morning bun so I can enjoy that with my kids in the morning. I definitely wanna come back to try some other other goodness. When you walk in on the left-hand side, if you wanna grab more than one thing you grab a tray and then you can grab things out of the different displays. Employees are often friendly, and they have a lovely ambiance with an aesthetically pleasing interior setup. I went touring Europe last year and ever since I haven't been able to find coffee that even comes close to how they do it until I went here. I took one sip and was transported back to Prague. I'm now a regular because I'm a sucker for their milk pillow bread and iced lattes. They also have an incredible chocolate muffin with a chocolate filling that tastes like if you mixed nutella with the most godly chocolate in the world and it's to die for. They also have water out for anyone to grab like they do in Europe which I really appreciate. Great place to grab some morning pastries and sit and chat or meet up with friends and catch up. The blueberry yogurt cake at Tous Les Jours will have my heart for the rest of my life. No exaggeration I've ordered this cake for my birthday every year for the last 5 years lol. I would recommend ordering a cake for your occasion at least 4 days in advance, especially for the holidays. The last time I picked up a cake during Mother's Day, it was so crowded and it took every staff member looking for my cake before the manager finally found it (thank goodness). My friend recently recommended Tous Les Jours' iced matcha latte, so I stepped in for the first time in a few months. They now have an app you can download to sign up for rewards (free cookie!) and order ahead. I noticed they also offer milk snow shaved ice which I never heard about, so I hope it's not seasonal and I can try it! I noticed there was a price discrepancy between the menu and ordering screen for the iced matcha latte: menu display said a large was $5.50 and it was keyed in as $6.10. This was without tax included. I didn't ask about it since what's another 60 cents, but it was something I noticed. I also ordered a chai latte (it's under "Tea Latte" and one of their teas is chai) and specifically checked the register screen that it was hot not iced, and I still got it cold lol. The barista made me a hot one without another word which I appreciated. All in all, my experience here is usually a mixed bag but the products themselves are always good :) The matcha was indeed creamy but more matcha vs milk, and hubby said the chai was good! read more

Bakery goods are on the higher end but between the Korean chain, Paris Baugette, definitely very affordable. Got a cake, some croquettes (kimchi and curry) milk bread, stuffed bread (cream and jam, topped with peanut brittle), and banana croissant. The standout was the banana croissant, definitely will go back for it. Croquettes were warm and very tasty. I would skip the milk bread as it seems like an overpriced Hawaiian roll. Stuff bread was okay, not something I would buy again. Cake was light, no bad but not memorable especially for the price. If would say Paris Baugette has more flavor profile and would recommend over. Tous Les Jours is one of my go-to places for birthday cakes. I usually go to the one in Fremont, but decided to try the Dublin one this time. It's larger than the Fremont one, with a decent amount of seating inside. They serve drinks and shaved ice as well, so I'll have to return to try that too. I really like that they have 6" cakes, which is hard to find. They also give you complimentary candles and cake server, which also includes matches. Their packaging is next level with a hard cardboard box that doesn't allow the cake to slip and slide inside. I ordered online and my cake was ready on time. The transaction was quick and easy. I came Thursday around 4pm and there were several people in line, but the seating area was mostly empty. There was only 1 girl working the register, and she seemed a bit stressed but still polite. I got the mango cream cake, and it was light and tangy, and not overly sweet. Their yogurt cloud cakes are also one of my favorites. read more

If you need a special cake or just a snack, this place will satisfy your needs. On our most recent visit, we ordered their mango cloud cake. This is a departure from our favorite chocolate cloud cake (with chocolate curls on top). We ordered online along with a few pastries and arrived at 2:00, our chosen time. They were out of the yuzu pastries that we ordered but fortunately, a hot batch had just come out of the oven! We also picked up: Egg tarts Chocolate muffin Blueberry cream donut Almond/banana/coffee pastry Chocolate coconut almond cookie Yuzu bars (our favorite) We have enjoyed all of their pastries and cakes so far and today was no different. My family and I have been going here ever since they've opened years ago and it's remained as one of my favorite bakery franchises in the bay. The pastries are affordable and tasty though they cost slightly more than Paris Baguette or 85 Bakery nearby, but are worth it considering the quality of the ingredients. Some of my favorite pastries are their melon pan, milk cream bread, walnut cream bread, and foliage pastry, though I've tried nearly everything over the years and everything was tasty. This shop has undergone some renovations, though the ambience has always been great from the start. You pick up a tray with parchment and tongs then help yourself and pay at the back, and the whole left side has seating. It is a good place to get work done or simply hang out, and the service is always very friendly and helpful. Ordered bunch of pastries (mainly togas, macaroons) and strawberry topped chocolate birthday cake which was fresh, soft and not too sweet. Looking at the single slice of similar cake expected the cake to be filled with strawberry..but alas wasn't. Still we liked the cake topped with choco ribbons and custom birthday name on a chocolate that was delicately packaged. So, i will never get the name right, i never have and at this point, everyone knows what I'm talking about anyways. I refer to it as the uppity bakery by Safeway or as *Tours le Jorz*. It isnt really uppity, the prices on some things are *kinda whack*, but overall everything is fantastic. I realize this place is a chain, but the food is always great. They will warm things and the coffee is phenomenal. It is easy to spend 40 just for yourself, which is an issue. But!!! If its just to treat yo-self, go get that coffee and 6 dollar croissant. Its worth it if you enjoy quality things. If not? Just go buy the pilsbury log and shove some hersheys in there. The bakery is clean, everything is double or triple sneeze gaurded and children cant afford to go in there. My family comes to Tous les Jours all the time for baked goods. Weirdly loyal to this chain. IMHO, the quality control is much better than 85 degrees or Paris Baguette. The pastries are usually neatly decorated and taste great. Strawberry soft is SO GOOD. Like eating a lightly berry flavored cloud. You have to make a beeline for the pastel pink, oblong thing. I'm addicted to the strawberry buttercream inside~~~ I've had a few milk snows here several times and they've always hit the spot in the summer. Other seasons, they're only available weekends. The milk snows are reasonably sized, with sweet milk shave ice, fresh fruit, & plenty of mochi. What's not to love? But the bummer for this location is that the seating and floor are dirty, and nobody comes out to sweep (????). Service is average. It's a shame that the seating area is so messy but the goods here are so lovely. read more

So many options, so little time!! I visited Tous Les Jours for a quick snack/coffee stop before heading to a mixer one weeknight evening. It's located in the plaza by REI and there's tons of parking available. The shop itself isn't huge and they only have a handful of tables inside with a couple outside. Like other pastry shops of it is kind (think 85 degree, paris baguette, etc), you can browse their pastry shelves to pick up 1, 2, or more of the pastries you wish. You'll add it to your tray and bring your tray to the front to pay for it all. They have sweet pastries, savory ones, and even some hot snacks for you to enjoy. When you get to the front, you can also order drinks (coffees, teas, etc). Snacks will range from $2-5 each and drinks will be about $5-7. You can also preorder cakes from here. I went with their almond croissant type of pastry. Not as fluffy as a regular croissant but still had the right flavor! They can also warm it up for you if you prefer. I also tried their tiramisu latte since I've been seeing that online a lot. It's pretty sweet, so if you don't usually prefer the sweet drinks, I'd probably go with a different one. Cleanliness here is okay. I feel like the tables were kind of moved around weird and some weren't wiped down but they might've been shorter staffed that day. A pretty decent "Euro style" Asian bakery in the mould of Paris-Baguette and Sheng Kee. The selections were varied and plenty and I loved my almond croissant pastry. The pastry version of the fruit-tart was delicious while the "sleeper hit" was the hot-dog in a puff pastry; I didn't expect that to be so comforting!
