I'm glad this place stays open until 2pm as we needed to bring a dessert to a BBQ. I love donuts at unconventional times but not the mochi or the Krispy Kremes. These are real, baked at 4am, cake, old fashioned, dipped, bars, all the good stuff. They have coffee, sandwiches, and options as well. The Gen Z stare was real here, but it didn't take away from the quality of the donuts. They had the conventional donut shop booths for people to eat there. read more

This place is great, the maple donuts are delicious, and the Banana Fritters are a one of a kind treat. The coffee is really great. The people who work here have been here for years, this place is family owned, and they take pride in this. They are very kind, and clearly take pride in their work. This place has a retro early 90s vibe, with a focus on handmade art. read more

Super nice business, came for the banana fritter. I liked that it was mini and well priced. I wish I got more banana flavor but it was well fried and glazed. They had so many options and the giant donut looked fun. read more

I went to the donut shop to try their banana fritter. It was a flavor of a fritter that I have never heard before and I love banana so I definitely had to make a pitstop. The fritter was very moist. It was soft and a slightly hard exterior but so chewy and moist after your first bite. I definitely would recommend stopping by to try their banana fritter and grab a few assorted donuts very good quality. Service was great and there's plenty of parking. read more

I love an apple fritter donut with its crispy/crunchy exterior with fluffy interior with chunks of apples. When I heard Dough Boy's Donuts had a banana version I made sure to make a visit. Dough Boy's Donuts offer 2 sizes which I like...the regular size ($3.85) fritter and a mini one for $2.75! Decided to try the mini one to sample first as I tend to be a fritter snob...it's all about the texture and rough edges to get that crunch with a thin veil of glaze. Some spots have a thick glaze making them cloyingly sweet and almost inedible (for me). I would say Dough Boy's Donuts do a decent one but more cake-y and not enough varying texture or nooks and crannies for me. Banana flavor with a light glaze but didn't get any pieces of banana. *** 3.5 stars for the fritters *** Service was straightforward...pick and pay for your donuts and off you go. I would return as they offer breakfast sandwiches and other donuts and stick with my fave fritter spot in Union City. Plenty of shared lot parking in the Grocery Outlet and Dollar Tree shopping center. read more

They have a good amount of donut choices. Average space for a donut spot. Their donuts are nice and fluffy. They taste as just as good as they look. Their fritters are really good too. Haven't had a bad experience from here. Their service is just as good as their donuts. read more

Wanted a donut on a Sunday morning so tried this place! Its small and unassuming. They have donuts, crepes, breakfast sandwiches. No line at 915am and they were well stocked. We got mini apple fritter, mini banana fritter, original glazed. I loved the apple fritter! Not oily/greasy. The banana fritter was different, with a banana aftertaste and more fluffy compared to the apple. Looking forward to returning. Plenty of parking as its in a plaza. read more

Came here just to try their banana fritter. It was so pillowy and moist with a prominent banana flavor. You can taste it in the bits of banana while still holding a good crunch on the outside. Good with some coffee on the side. Would rec if you love banana and fritters! read more

Apple fritter: lots of apple chunks, soft on the inside with a perfect crisp and glaze on the outside! Not overly sweet. Bonus points: still served warm!!!! Maple bar: huge bar so fresh and soft filled with deelish custard topped with their deelish maple glaze! Hubby paid $8 and some change. Good sizes and price. I'll take these old school donuts over any fancy bakery any day paired with our favorite coffee at home!! Their consistency keeps us coming back not social media influencers! I am SO happy to finally got to try the banana fritter! I've been wanting to try it for so long! My brother picked me up one while passing by, and they only had one left! The smell of it was delicious. Incredibly sugary and strong banana scent! The taste was yummy!! You could really taste the banana. I do prefer this one over an apple fritter; however, I never tried this place's apple fritter before yet. I will have to do and compare! Love it! read more

Finally, my wife and I got to try the apple and banana fritters from this donut spot! It was well worth the drive for these. There are two different sizes for each fritter; large or small and the price range is from $2.50 (S) and $3.50 (L). The banana fritter is my ultimate favorite. It has a subtle outer crisp and the mashed banana blends perfectly with the dough. The texture of the dough is soft and pretty moist. I've never seen a banana fitter before so this is truly unique. I would definitely heat this up and eat it with a scoop of vanilla ice cream for next time. The apple fritter was pretty good too but I've had a better one somewhere else. This is delicious and the ratio of apple and cinnamon is just right. I do wish it had more of a crispy outer layer with a buttery soft dough but overall, this was good and definitely a top 3 apple fritter for me. I'll be sure to come back again for their banana fritter!! So good! read more

Came at 8AM on a Saturday to fully-stocked cases of gorgeous doughnuts (': We got five: a small apple fritter, large banana fritter, glazed braided doughnut, classic glaze doughnut, and a buttermilk bar. The banana fritter defo lives up to the hype--I much prefer it to the apple. There's banana inside the fluffy dough and glazed exterior that makes the texture so enjoyable. It reminds me of banana bread, but better because it's fried and sweet (but not too sweet) and a doughnut. Their glazed doughnut was delightfully light and fluffy with a classic exterior. The buttermilk bar was amazing!!! Potentially the best of the bunch. Perfectly dense, but not too dry--chef's kiss. Will definitely be back for more!! And will be getting the buttermilk bar, banana fritter, and classic glaze again for sure. read more

We drove 20 minutes to this place after all of their recent social media attention. We HAD to try the banana fritter. Unfortunately, it was incredibly disappointing. As we placed it on a napkin, immediately we saw how oily it was. It tasted soggy and overly cinnamon flavored. The crisp on the outside was non existent and the center was mushy. We also tried a blueberry donut, which was also oily and crumbly. The chocolate old fashioned was just okay. Their coffee was standard coffee shop coffee. The cafe was incredibly dirty. Their air vents were visibly caked with dust and there was clutter and out dated decor everywhere. The employees were kind to all customers. The idea of a banana fritter is great. Hopefully with some work, this place can improve! read more

The banana and apple fritter was absolutely delicious. Banana 8/10 Apple 9/10. Buttery and soft on the inside (with a little fruit filling) and sweet (glazed) with a slight crisp on the outside. Delicious old school looking donut place! Got the glazed and apple fritter since I went almost close to closing and they didn't have the banana fritters. Pairs perfectly with hot tea. I got all 3 for $7. read more

I saw Dough Boy's go viral on social media and had to come try their Banana Fritter! It was soooo good. Same crunch as a normal apple fritter but with sweet bananas instead. It is not soggy at all and perfectly fried. The donuts are not overpriced and they were able to put some banana fritters on hold for us to pick up later in the day. Clean donut shop and they have some cute y2k gachapon machines (Peek a pooh's!) Love their donuts and the overall vibe of the store :) Such a gem in Dublin! read more

I stopped by on a Sunday morning and was happy it wasn't crowded. They've got the classic donut shop lineup..... glazed, maple bars, plus seasonal theme such as pumpkin chai. The apple fritter was properly glazed. That crunchy, sugary shell was the best part! Definitely try the banana fritters! You've got to appreciate the fluffy texture and those bits of banana in every bite. The only downside was the guy who took my order because he was quite aloof. Other than that, the donuts are solid. read more

Very good donuts that's been around for a very long time. Some of the best around. I love donuts and they are definitely ago to for sure.

Saw their fritters on that "looking for the best fritter in the Bay Area" Tik Tok, so I had try them. I'm not usually a huge fan of cakey donuts, but both the apple and banana fritter had a fantastic texture. Imo, crunch is the most important part of a fritter. They weren't oily, and they're huge. I recommend getting the mini sizes instead if you want to try both flavors. I made it through 1/4 of the full sizes before having to tap out. They're pretty sweet, but I think it's perfect if you're having a cup of coffee. For the price, they are a 5/5. For service, it was very speedy, which I appreciated. Even with a line, I was helped within 3 minutes of walking in. read more

Two words: Banana Fritter. Get it. We called ahead to reserve two of the large banana fritters (but if you come in early, no need to call in advanced as they are stocked up) and they were soooo delicious. The banana flavor shines through and it was not overly oily or greasy. Great size as well. We also tried one of their small apple fritters and we thought it was pretty good, but the banana fritter was definitely a special treat. I've had better blueberry donuts elsewhere and the buttermilk was decent. I would come back just for the banana fritter! read more

Good service, good donuts and fair prices. Clean and safe location not too far from bart for a quick stop by.

Just moved out of this neighborhood so I'm a little sad it was my last time here yesterday. What makes this place better than every other donut place is the breakfast burritos are made with homemade crepes. They don't use tortillas and it takes these burritos to a whole other level. Freshly made crepe wrapped around fluffy eggs, bacon, cheese and tomatoes - so delicious!! Their donuts are really good too! I got a Boston cream donut filled with rich cream, a blueberry cake and a glazed old fashioned. read more

Been a while, and was in the area, so dropped by around lunchtime for an afternoon snack. Picked up one custard filled chocolate covered donut and some donut holes. Donut was well filled and chocolate glaze well covered. The custard was a little on the thin side and not as flavorful as expected. The donut holes were above average size, and glaze was adequate. Texture was a slightly cakey where there are usually lighter and more airy. Nothing wrong, but nothing extraordinary. Legit choice if you're around there and need a donut fix. read more

Since moving to the Dublin area I was looking to find my new go-to donut spot. Well let me tell you this... We came up from the South Bay to run errands and thought to try out their well known banana and apple fritters. We ordered a large banana and a mini apple. Taking the first bite, they were pretty good. Although, the middle of the large banana fritter had a raw doughy taste and consistency. Like a medium rare fritter. Slightly undercooked lol. Maybe it was just me.. who knows. I'd give it another shot read more

So much hype I arrived at 9:45 am. Was really looking forward to having a good food experience eating the INFLUENCER famous "Banana Fritter" only to say it was really "meh" flavor tasted like apple since it fried in the same oil, and the apple fritter was bland too. The other donuts were really dry as well. I would never recommend this spot to Homer Simpson or to any of my LE or FD friends. But hey, to each its own. Don't say I didn't warn you. read more
