Donut King is amazing. The little pink and white stripped box contains yummy goodness of donuts. Caution: May be addictive! I love their donuts. Not heavy and never greasy tasting. I like a different one in town also but my highest rating goes to this one! My favorite are the raised crumb and many other donut shops don't carry them. Props to DONUT KING!

Walking in reminds me of the classic donut shops I grew up with in Southern California, so definitely nostalgic in that way. And the service definitely delivers as they were friendly and helpful to everyone, ranging from young students grabbing a donut before school to older retirees that are regulars. Oh and the donuts are excellent too! People often have their preferred style of donut. I found these to be pretty light, non-greasy and on the cakier side, with all of the usual types of donuts. My work crew certainly appreciated this end of week treat!

This is the best doughnut shop in Pleasanton. When I arrived late morning half of their doughnut selection was gone, so if you want their yummy doughnut holes come between opening and 8 in the morning. I selected my favorite the glazed old fashioned and ventured out of my comfort zone to the delicious chocolate doughnut with nuts. The staff is friendly and prices start at $1.95. They have coffee, bottled water, orange juice, apple juice, strawberry milk, and chocolate milk available for purchase. $5 minimum if you use your debit/credit cards. Look no further, Donut King is the place to go for delicious doughnuts.

My first visit this morning to this mom n pop local donut shop in Pleasanton. Their donuts as others reviews taste really good. Very fluffy and not too sweet. The taste is perfect. I am really surprised that they open so early at 4:30! I got here around 7am and there are plenty of selections. I bought this for an event and everyone enjoyed this delicious breakfast. The owners are super friendly. Easy parking and this place is surprisingly busy. I was only there for a few minutes and a handful of customers came and go like regulars. Support our local small business also makes me feel good :) there are several table for you to sit down if you want yo come here for a coffee/ donut. The place is well kept and clean. We will be coming back.

Donuts are delish! Had breakfast nearby and brought donuts for the kids! The guy who helped me was super nice! Place is clean and no parking issue. This will definitely be added to the family's usual donut places!

We have been coming to the Donut King for 17 years. Lovely family runs it. It is the quintessential American donut shop. They have watched my kids grow up and have been a part of the community since before we arrived. We love their donuts. Always fresh, always yummy, always served with a friendly smile. Highly recommend. Donut nostalgia on steroids, the absolute best.

I ask my child what they wanted for their birthday and they said "donut king"!!!

We arrived at 7:40 PM, and the manager, Joseph, told us the restaurant would close in 10 minutes. I said that's OK. We'll order the food and eat as much as we can there until we have to leave, and then we will leave by the time we are asked to leave. My boyfriend, Jeff, thought the restaurant was open until 8 PM, so he checked the website. It said the location was open till 8 PM, so he walked outside to check the time on the door, and it read 8 PM. There were no other signs that said they were closing at 7:50 PM. Jeff called somebody to complain about the time discrepancy while we were waiting for our order to arrive. When our order arrived, Kira brought our food to the table in a really cute to-go bag, and I like that she listened to us that we would eat as much food as we could while we were at the restaurant and then take the rest to eat at home when it came closer to 8 PM. Our food was ready pretty quickly; we had plenty of time to finish our food before 8 PM. However, I think Jeff just wanted the manager to be upfront with him and say that the store was closing at 8 PM, so it's better to take your food to go or something like that, not make up an arbitrary time to say what time the restaurant was closed. I'm rating this Koja kitchen location four stars mainly because of the outstanding customer service provided by Kira. She was incredibly friendly and approachable, making the experience very pleasant. I wish more customer service representatives could be as kind and easy to talk to as she is.

We both ordered the original koja. Although the flavor was good, the meat was extremely tough and grizzly. The man behind the counter who took our order was pleasant. Although I didn't notice it, my friend thought the woman who brought out our order seemed to be in a bad mood.

We got the buttercream bread, sweet rice donut, chocolate cloud cake, milk cornet, and the strawberry milk bread. For drinks we got the red velvet hot cocoa and the caramel macchiato. The buttercream bread was my absolute favorite out of the bunch. The butter cream wasn't too sweet and the bread was sooo soft. The ratio of cream to bread was just right, so each bite of bread had a sweet balance of the fluffy cream. The sweet rice donut was okay. To be, it could have been more softer, but it was expected for it to go stale a little bit since it's been out lying for a while. Some things are just unavoidable. The chocolate cloud cake was really good, but there was so much cream. Unlike the buttercream bread, there was imbalance here, but I adored the giant strawberries sandwiched between the cream. The consistency of the actual cake was perfect though, because sometimes I know it can get really soggy from the cream. Next time I would give another cake a try instead. The milk cornet was great! Tried it out because it seemed really popular; there was only one left. This pastry like a croissant stuffed with milky cream. The cornet was perfectly crunchy and the milk cream wasn't too sweet. Next time, I want to give the blueberry version a try. The strawberry milk bread impressed me. It was super soft, and I like how there was a really small amount of cream. Like, I understood what the cream was trying to do there. One bite of just bread would be pretty dry, but a little bit of cream can help smooth things out but still keep the spotlight on the bread. The red velvet hot cocoa drink was what surprised me the most. I suppose this drink is Valentines day edition, so it's not always here. I was so surprised when I opened the lid and saw hot pink foam! Like, DANG! Tous les jours really went out of their way to give us a sip of Valentines day! This drink is on the sweeter end, though. A friend said that the caramel macchiato was just okay, nothing surprising or impressive about it. I guess it was a safe order. The baristas were really efficient with our drinks; both drinks took five minutes or less! I love the interior of this bakery. So cute yet so easygoing. Perfect ambiance for catching up with some girlfriends!
