I've been going to Donut King since I was in second grade. They had the best donuts, people from out of state would even say the same thing. Then they changed owners, added boba, and completely changed the vibe (as if we don't already have enough boba shops). My first visit this morning to this mom n pop local donut shop in Pleasanton. Their donuts as others reviews taste really good. Very fluffy and not too sweet. The taste is perfect. I am really surprised that they open so early at 4:30! I got here around 7am and there are plenty of selections. I bought this for an event and everyone enjoyed this delicious breakfast. The owners are super friendly. Easy parking and this place is surprisingly busy. I was only there for a few minutes and a handful of customers came and go like regulars. Today I got a maple cake with peanuts on top and half dozen donut holes. I had to add an extra donut because of the $5.00 minimum charge for using a card. First off, the story starts off likes this. I went for a drive around with my pup Blu! I passed by my favorite donut shop in town! I wanted to go back and support their shop because it was a local spot. And they are important. So I went in ordered a couple of things donut holes and a donut. I was gonna surprise her with a little extra cash I had in my wallet to be supportive. Because I adore who she is and her family owned shop! And I want them to survive! She counted the amount of money I gave her and she said it was too much. I said it was okay!! I adore them and their donuts! Then she decided to offer me milk I said no no but she insisted. And gave me extra donuts. She is such a sweet lady. I didn't need the extra donuts but I wanted give her extra because she told me things are slow because of the crisis. Then I left with a tear in my eye. I continued my happy quest of driving to get out of the house. Then at a light a poor woman was begging for change. So I immediately gave her some of my yummy extra donuts and she looked so happy!!!!! And told me "god bless you" I felt soo good to pass on the blessed donuts from the woman at the donut shop to woman in need because she didn't have shelter and it was raining too. I always feel good spreading love. It made me cry inside! Happy tears of course Even in this crisis state I will always be me and help others! I don't care if I might die. I love to see people happy and safe. Anyways that was my quest for the day.
