3.75/5: Rounded up to 4 since price was reasonable and people working were nice. Fast service. I initially got my beef bowl without rice but when I tried to eat it, it was so salty so I asked for rice and they accommodated me. I appreciated that. Rice needs to be less dried.

Came here during work lunch break with a colleague. We walked across the street and decided on Koja to try. They were not busy. We ordered our food on their kiosk. Our food came out quick and we decided to eat there instead of taking it to go. The interior is clean, quiet, and a small footprint place. It was great and minimal interaction with any staff. Will come back again to try other food items.

I remember trying KoJa Kitchen back when they were just a food truck! Glad they have an actual restaurant to eat their food! I have eaten here many times, and always love their KoJas. I have tried The Original KoJa, the Beef KoJa, and the Braised Pork KoJa. All of them are good. I love the garlic rice buns especially when it's nice, golden, and crispy! Their Kamikaze Fries and their Umami Fries are good as well! I haven't tried anything else, but would go back and try other things on their menu.

Food- I had the original koja today and it is so delicious, the meat was juicy and flavorful, while the rice buns complemented them, adding a crisp, garlicky flavor profile. I also got the Kamikaze Fries, which were alright. I felt like that they were a bit soggy and the inside felt a bit mushy, but the flavor complemented it. Rice burger - 10/10 Kamikaze Fries- 6.5/10 Service - The people over there are calm and friendly, as they know exactly what you like to order. Ambience - I like how chill the atmosphere is and how convenient it is situated near Whole Foods. The furniture and décor makes it feel like a modern, homey experience.

Amazingly delicious!! I finished my whole meal and want to plan another time to visit again. A few seats inside as well as out. They are located in a busy area but do have tons of parking close to other common places. Not hard to find. We came in to order and it seems like they just take mobile orders since we ordered over a screen. A lot of pick up came so pretty popular which I understand because the food was so good. It's really nice that they have the restaurant beautifully decorated, I personally think that drives in customers to check the place out. But I definitely say the food will bring people back.

Short Rib Bowl with tasty chunks of short ribs and added (overcooked) egg and extra kim chi

Did takeout lunch from this location and it was easy to order online, and the food was ready on time with pleasant, efficient service. I was a little skeptical about the California spam musubi, but it's surprisingly worked with the avocado and imitation crab on top of crisped up spam and sticky rice. I only wish I had some soy sauce to use as a dipping sauce. The short rib bowl contained a healthy portion of rice and lightly dressed salad, with a decent portion of chunks of marinated short ribs, which had a good flavor, but we're not as tender as I had hoped. I added an egg that I would be over easy but there was almost no yolk and it was definitely well cooked. The accompanying mild Kim Chi was good and complemented the rest of the flavors.

Chicken teriyaki rice bowl with fries

Came here with my kid for the second time and we really enjoyed the food. We ordered from the kiosk up front so we didn't have any interaction with the cashier staff. The kiosk is easy to use but if I remember correctly I couldn't find description of ingredients on the order pages. Chicken teriyaki bowl 4.5/5 Kid really likes it. The chicken is moist and pretty decent size for the price. Fries is a bit overdone. It was chewy. Kimchi was really really good (I stole a piece). Veggies were fresh Tuna salad bowl 5/5 Everything was fresh Dressing/sauce is very good. Seaweed salad, surimi , edamame, wonton strips and veggies. With tuna and sauce. I enjoyed every bite. I took a star because I was notified on my phone that my food was ready. But when I went to pick up they couldn't find my order. Then said they're still waiting for a new batch of rice. Which is totally ok but it was strange that the system flags it as completed when it's not. Overall it was a nice dinner. The place is not big, so on busy time it'll be difficult to find a table. There are probably 7 tables inside and a couple outside. So be prepared to do a takeout if it's busy.

The Original Koja and the Kamikaze Fries

I probably come here with my bf for takeout once a month after work around 5:00. Every time I come the parking situation is tough. Despite a big parking lot, there must just be a lot of popular stores cause I generally have to kick my bf out while I idle in the corner of the lot. However the food itself is great. Their original Koja sandwich is super tasty. I've added egg before for that extra protein but I must say the egg is too soft to survive the crispy rice buns. When I bite into the sandwich the liquid if the egg gets everywhere, but it's just so tasty. I usually get their chicken or crispy chicken bowl, sometimes with salad instead of rice and add an egg and sometimes avocado (what can I say gotta add all the colors haha). These bowls taste great fresh though once they cool down their flavor fades quickly. I don't fault them for this because part of the charm of the bowl is the difference in temperature between the greens and the chicken/rice, so if you're ordering with the intention of having leftovers I'd just caution you to not expect much from the leftovers. I always order the kamikaze fries and sometimes also the umami fries. Both are so addicting but I'd have to say there's something about the sweetness of the Korean bbq beef that whispers in my ear to order it every time I'm in Koja. Would recommend the kamikaze fries.

Beef Bowl 8.5/10

Had lunch here a couple of weeks ago, and it's the Umami Fries that stick out in my good food memories! Love the miso-coconut drizzled over tender pork and crispy waffle fries. My beef bowl and everything else was overshadowed by the fries! Nothing wrong with everything else, just faded in my memory. My sis and cousin found their Strawberry Mango Mint lemonade too sweet. They had to water them down, but they still weren't as refreshing as expected. Ambience was casual. Service was a bit slow, but we filled that time with bonding and catching up. :-)

The fried oysters were also a great size and came with two dipping sauces, which was a nice touch. The maze ramen was a big portion and even my toddler enjoyed it. The standout for me was the tempura ice cream--perfectly crisp with a thin, light shell. Service: Our server was friendly, efficient, and very accommodating. However, the host experience was frustrating. The Yelp waitlist wasn't working on a busy Friday night, which seemed to cause some disorganization. We were quoted a 25-minute wait for a party of three, but ended up waiting 45 minutes. During that time, multiple parties of three who arrived after us were seated first. When I checked in at 35 minutes, I was told we were "next," but that didn't seem to reflect what was happening. At 45 minutes, after checking again and explaining how long we'd been waiting, we were seated immediately. It was confusing and especially difficult with a hungry toddler. Parking: Parking can be tricky. The restaurant is located under an apartment complex with limited guest spots on the first floor of the garage. If it's full, you'll have to exit and find street parking (which is minimal) or park across Dublin Blvd and walk. Overall: This was close to a perfect experience. The food and server were great, but the disorganized wait and host interaction took away from it. Hopefully they improve their system for busy nights, especially if the Yelp waitlist goes down again.

Our party of six were seated in a spacious booth towards the middle of the restaurant and were warmly greeted by our server. The restaurant had good vibes! After the birthday girlie opened a few presents, one of the managers came to our table to ask if we wanted some group photos b/c she noticed we were celebrating! She was soooo sweet, observant, and attentive! c: After looking at the extensive menu, I knew I wanted to try some of their sushi rolls so I shared a few with a friend. We ordered the Caterpillar Roll, Klondike Express, and the Chili Spider Salmon Roll. These are my ratings / thoughts on our order: - Caterpillar Roll (4/5): This roll is under Amakara's Common Rolls. Filled with unagi, cucumber, avocado and glazed with teriyaki sauce, this roll is a classic and was delicious! The avocado was creamy, the teriyaki was sweet/ umami, and the unagi was delicate and tender. I also appreciate that the pieces were perfectly bite- sized. I'm glad I tried this roll but would prefer to try a new one next time. -Klondike Express Roll (5/5): This roll was tasty and oh so colorful! Rolled with cucumber, crispy, tempura shrimp, fresh crab, and avocado w/ scallop mayo, this roll was an explosion of flavors. I love that it was garnished with bits of crunchy tempura and 3 flavors of tobiko for texture. The tobiko really added "wow factor" to the roll and each color had a subtle citrus flavor! My friend and I were trying to decipher the 3 flavors of tobiko and concluded yellow = lemon, green = lime, and orange = orange. This roll was fun and would definitely order again! -Chili Spider Salmon Roll (5/5): The Chili Spider was BEAUTIFUL and hands down my favorite roll of the night!! This roll is under Amakara's Spicy Rolls and was interestingly topped with vibrant tomatoes, thinly sliced onion, and tender salmon. Filled with avocado and tempura soft-shell crab and drizzled with chili oil and ponzu, this roll was uniquely fresh and delicious! I've never had onions and tomatoes on a roll but it worked and I would definitely come back and have again! I had a great time here with friends and really enjoyed the food! I will definitely come back to try some unique and flavorful dishes!

My mom ordered the oxtail stew which wasn't on their brunch/lunch menu (dinner only), but I really appreciate that they were accommodating to make that dish for her. I've never had oxtail and it was delicious--tender, perfectly sweet and savory, and paired well with the plantains. The other dishes that my family ordered were hits too (jerk pork shoulder and seafood paella). We also tried the ripe plantains pancake Oscar for a sweet treat. I love anything marshmallow, so the brûléed marshmallow cream that blanketed the pancakes was heavenly. It also came with a plantain on top and a few other fruits to balance out the sweetness. Overall, we left full and all around very satisfied. The staff showed us such warm hospitality and came around often to check on us, despite being an almost packed house.
