I'm not sure about coming back to this place. We have a big group and the food we ordered did not come at the same time. It took a long time to get each order. It's Mother's Day and they should have anticipated it's gonna be busy. The order goes in order...per order item. So make sure that you order everything at once on which we did and still the food arrived very long...and each items NOT ALL at ONCE The food is very good but they need to hire more people. There are only 2 servers.

Came on a Sunday afternoon to try this place for the first time. Glad to have found a great hole in the wall spot! They open at 1PM on Sundays. Parking lot is quite large. Authentic Korean food with friendly service. Food is fresh and flavorful. The banchan dishes are some of the better I've had! They come by and constantly refill them. We were served tea and water. They recommend getting the whole fried chicken and we loved it - so crispy and good! My favorites were soups - we tried the galbitang and soondubu which were rich in flavor. The fried mackerel was very crispy and done well. The seafood pancake and bibimbap were also good, pretty standard. This is a a solid Korean place in the area. Great experience!

It's a small restaurant feel with two different sides. Grilling and non- grilling. We usually sit on the non-grilling side because we order chicken! MY FAVORITE CRIPSY CHICKEN. HANDS DOWN. The ladies who run this restaurant are so kind and attentive. They haven't gotten any orders wrong and they notice right away if our banchan is low. They are very nice when you ask for more kimchi or any banchan. Things we have tried: Pork Belly - pre cooked 9/10 Korean Fried Chicken Original - 10/10 Sodduk 11/10 SNACK DDUBBOKKI - beware if you are not a spicy person...this is not a mild spice.

Truly a gem among Korean restaurants and I'm blessed to live close by. Every time I try another Korean restaurant, even if it's good, my first thought is "but it's not as good as Korea House." They offer both regular dining tables and cooking tables. There's three menus--barbecue, conventional dining with all the little sides, and the fried chicken menu. I love the warm and inviting lighting. Their spicy barbecue chicken is 1. ACTUALLY spicy and 2. to die for, but the crispy fried chicken (pictured here) is my favorite ever. Literally nothing can top it for me. The breading doesn't get soggy and start peeling off after a few hours like most everywhere else, theirs is the only fried chicken I will eat as leftovers! This fried chicken is so flavorful with a lovely hint of heat, more like a pleasant warmth to the tongue than the dazzling sting of something that would be labeled as actually hot. Other fried chicken underwhelms me now, when I say nothing can compare I don't say it lightly. The service is great, they come to check on us repeatedly to make sure we're alright and I don't ever have to wait super long for my food. Safe to say Korea House has ruined me for any other fried chicken and Korean cuisine.

First time trying this place even tho its only about 5 mins from my house, but cant believe I havent tried sooner!! The look and feel outside gives you that nostalgic OG restaurant feel, when you walk inside, you feel the same way as well. Came on a Thursday night for a takeout order. They looked pretty busy as well. The person who helped us with our pick up order was nice in communicating with us that they were out of some items for banchan, and that she'll give us double next time :D We waiting maybe 20 minutes after getting there to receive all our food. I just remember it smelling soooo good when we grabbed the bags. What I got and how I rate them: -Corn Cheese (8/10) -Combo 3 (10/10) -Spicy Teokbokki (8/10) -Japchae (9/10) -Beef Soup (8/10) (not pictured) Combo 3 was a good choice bc you get a variety of meats. Everything was really yummy and flavorful, and they definitely give you a goood amount of food. It was one of those things where you open the take out boxes and say "WOW". The total for this came to like ~$130ish? But it fed 5 people well :) Overall...I will definitely come back here to try more items esp the Yang Nyum Chicken!! So glad I finally came to this place.

Korea House is still open and now serving TTO BONG EE Korean Fried Chicken. If it's your first time trying this chain, I would suggest the half order of CRISPY with the option of drums and wings or wings only. TTO BONG EE Chicken: https://yelp.to/feJhEsEqElb Korea House still offers their usual menu items with the faves being the LA-style shortribs and japchae. Be sure to call in your order (chicken option not available for online ordering yet) to minimize the wait time. Server is very friendly and helpful when placing your order Private parking available but not the best lighting. Located about 3 blocks from the Hayward BART station

    Very well packaged!

Do you have a weekday lunch menu at $20 or less?

Yes! There is the lunch menus under $20. They even do the lunch menu for the dinner time as well.

Is this just name change and still serving the same food? Or adding fried chicken on the menu which I was trying to see ( but I didn't see anything)?

Same Korea house menu plus excellent fried chicken! If you google Korea house Hayward, it will take you to the chicken menu.

I truly believe that there is potential here, but a lot of things would have to change. When you walk in, BBQ is not the first thing you smell. I'm the type that if you can smell the BBQ when you get out of the car, it's probably about to be pretty dang good. I got all the way into the restaurant and it was just a vague smell... not necessarily bad, but not necessarily food, either. * The Mac n' Cheese recipe needs to be re-thought and revised. It was watery, tasteless and not what you would expect from a black owned business. * The cornbread is expensive and not given as sidecar to your sides. I'd rather pay a little more for food overall when I buy a plate and get cornbread than have to ask for and purchase a side of cornbread. As far as taste, if I wasn't eating it with the greens, it wouldn't have been very good standalone. * I had the rib plate.... No rub in sight, not even the slightest hint of salt and pepper coating. It was almost like the ribs go straight from package to smoker, no process in between. They seem to take the angle of drowning them in sauce, which is overly tangy seems like a bulk purchase sauce, rather than a house made sauce. BBQ sauce is too simple to make to not hone in on your own sauce recipe. The ladies who plate the food chop the ribs in half as a means to fit them into the carton, but to be honest, I don't wanna see or taste pigs marrow when I'm eating my ribs. Ribs were also very dry and over-charred... a few pieces. * The greens were the best thing on the whole plate to be honest. * Lastly, the hot sauce packets were puffy and swollen, which is never a good sign. Never seen that before until I came here. Also, I asked for extra BBQ sauce and was told that would be an extra charge..... this was already a tip off that they don't get a lot of business and now they're at the "nickels & dimes" point of their day-to-day operations. All in all, it just seems like the labor of love has been lost on this place, as it was recommended to me by someone who says it was good years ago. While that might be true, it seems the family has gotten too comfortable with their neighborhood regulars to keep the doors open and the quality is slipping as the month and years pass. If you're reading this as the owner, I hope this is a motivator for you to restructure and re-brand so that you become a "line out the door" business, because in today's climate, it only takes one influencer to enter your doors and call your food "certified" or "trash" for YouTube, IG, Twitch etc.. Be brave and make changes.

I was staying around the corner so it wasn't too much trouble for me to go pickup my food but I was already comfortable at home... so to make a long story short... the worker (I think maybe the owner not sure) she ended up accommodating my meal that the door dasher took and didn't make me pay again and even gave me some extra corn bread for the inconvenience. The worker that day was super sweet and I really appreciate good customer service now a days. A little kindness can make someone's day !! When I asked him where he got the ribs, he said Famous Dave's. I knew that I had to try them out for myself. It was always one thing after another, but finally, I had time on a Wednesday afternoon. I didnt want to deal with a crowd and when I went, it was perfect. We were seated right away. Our service was Yanira and she was awesome. So friendly, answering all of our questions. I got the ribs and meat meal since I also wanted to try their chopped pork. My sides were Mac and Cheese and Tater Tots. When my order came, I got their special fries and before I could even say anything, another server came with a bowl of my tater tots apologizing for the mistake. No complaints here since I got another side. Everything was delicious. The ribs were tender. I also loved their BBQ sauce. I was going to order water, but since it was a special occassion, i ordered a Dr. Pepper and I was surprised that it came in a large mason glass jar. The Dr. Pepper wasn't peppering.....if you know you know, it just didnt taste strong, but I did enjoy that the drink was ice cold. They dont have coke, but serve pepsi products. The cornbread was perfection, warm and buttery. Disclaimer, the Mac and Cheese had corn in it, just stating if you care about that sort of thing. It was more on the saucy cheesy side. I never had Mac and Cheese like that, but since I love Mac and Cheese and I love corn so it was hit in my world. Portions are huge and I had to take some food home. Prices seem comparable to other places that serve BBQ. Lots of seating areas and I can see on special occasions or on the weekends, this place could get packed. Plenty of parking. This restaurant is off Winton, in the area where Panera is at. If you go all the way to the mall you have gone too far. I know that I will be coming back, I am curious to try their burnt tips. They have a loyalty program. You can sign up before, it is simple, or sign up there as you are eating.

I'm gonna check with my NorCal moots about this but sucks if that's true. I was going to comment on how this is one of few bastions of affordable, slightly more unique food in the bay area, but I guess that's not the case. I'm spoiled by having a Dollar Hits in SoCal literally down the street from me so I can't say this place compares, but it's at least an option for NorCal, you know? This definitely used to be another restaurant, but then retrofitted to be a grill. Super large grill in the middle for everyone to communally cook at indoors. This is a good combination between the outdoors grill it yourself and the indoors seating of both the SoCal Dollar Hits, so I thought that was nice. They have all the classics here, isaw (sometimes Dollar Hits doesn't have this unless you request -it's chicken intestines), large intestines, chicken skin, kwek kwek (battered quail eggs), and Tender Juicy bright red filipino hot dogs (a must). You can also order a side of rice and the sauces were self serve (made it a bit sticky). It gets a bit smoky in there even with the fans, but overall had an enjoyable time the time when I did visit.
