I came here tonight to have dinner with my cousin and father. The sushi bar had seats available as soon as we entered. The food was great. Everything was delivered correctly and fast. The dining area was busy, and all the waiters still provided excellent service. Water and tea were topped off. The sushi was excellent. My father really loved the flavor cooked into the Lion Kong rolls. I enjoyed my bowl of seaweed salad. This is my 4th time here. I've been to this place for almost as long as I've been alive, back when they had the buffet and I almost bankrupted them getting only unagi to their change becoming a fusion restaurant. We've hosted friends from abroad here, I've taken exes (still friends), and now seeing them expand their menu. The food is good and you'll probably find something you like. This place is usually excellent. However, this time the fish was straight up funky. Both my roll and the sashimi salad. I did eat two pieces from the roll (tossed the rest as it was fishy and slimy) and half the salad and have had severe intestinal issues for almost 24 hours now. The dressing in the salad I think masked the taste of the sketchy fish. Went in to urgent care and was told I had food poisoning and received fluids. I decided to DoorDash this time and it didn't really pan out too well. I ordered right when they opened and the food did come rather fast. I got a few rolls and they were delicious as was the assorted sashimi. The rolls were the Cherry Blossom & Home Sweet Home. I also ordered the chicken chow fun which was good but had very few noodles in it. It was basically just chicken. The gyoza was good but I didn't like the sauce that came with it. The golden crispy rolls were kinda slimy. Didn't seem like they were cooked all the way. I got the bbq short ribs but they didn't look anything like the picture on DoorDash. In the picture they were red and saucy and what I got was brown and dry with sesame seeds as pictured in this review. Not sure if the picture is wrong or they gave me the wrong thing. They weren't bad, just wasn't what I expected. The most disappointing part was that I ordered and paid for the warrior chicken and they didn't give it to me. Our friends ordered a ton of appetizers like chicken karaage, furikake fries, some kind of unagi sushi, and gyoza. I enjoyed the furikake fries as they were made just right as well as the unagi sushi. 3 of us had the bento box and one had the sea bass appetizer. I ordered by bento with tempura and beef teriyaki and it was made to perfection. There is even a private room for parties as it was being occupied at lunch time for a gathering. We had dinner yesterday at this restaurant (May 15, 2026) with some friends. The GOOD: The restaurant is nicely decorated and had great ambience. We were greeted and seated immediately. The drinks we ordered were ice cold served without delay. We ordered the Pokeman and crunchy chicken salad to begin with; these salads were delicious. For appetizers, we ordered the Super California and the Lion King rolls. These rolls were delicious. The BAD: The wives ordered a large beef pho and the guys ordered the Singapore Vermicelli. The dishes arrived hot. The soup base for the pho was way too SALTY! The vermicelli did not have much curry flavor and the typical "glass noodles" were substituted with thin egg noodles. The noodles had a gritty texture on the tongue suggesting the cook sprinkled curry spice on the noodles rather than dissolving the curry spice into an emulsion. The barbecue pork in the vermicelli was sliced too thick. The vermicelli dish was not too good. Finally the men's bathroom appeared to neat and clean. My recommendation is to stick with the sushi rolls at this restaurant because the other cuisines need some work from the kitchen staff!! read more
