To go order review. The person that took my order over the phone was really pleasant and accommodating. I asked for no crabmeat for a dragon roll and he said they can do it. Most sushi places would say they aren't able to modify their rolls. The spot itself is a small restaurant but they did expand it a bit which is good to see. Sushiland has decent sushi. The Saba nigiri didn't seem as fresh compared to other places I've tried. The salmon in the salmon maki felt a bit grainy when I ate it. The salmon teriyaki and tonkatsu were cooked perfectly and tasted delicious. Was enjoyable overall.

We found this place on Yelp and glad we tried it! Although the place is small, it provides indoor and outdoor dining. Very clean! Plenty of parking and the service is excellent! Anita went above and beyond and made sure we had everything we needed. Superior customer service! Not only to us but to people who were picking up their food orders. The owner and the sushi crew were very kind too! Plenty of food choices but settled with the usual bento boxes, combo meals and an order of sushi. The food came out fresh and very flavorful! The yelp reviews were on point because they are generous with their servings and everything is reasonably priced. We will definitely come back to try their other sushi options!

The nicest family runs this sushi restaurant!!! Quick and friendly service for the biggest sushi rolls you can imagine!!! Everything is good nothing disappoints and I like all the rolls. The ingredients are fresh and the sushi is so buttery. The bento boxes are huge too and the portions of meat on the rice plates are also flavorful and generous. Highly recommend this sushi restaurant when in Hayward as it's the best bang for your buck!!!

I was craving sushi after work and came across this spot on Yelp with some great reviews. I placed an online order for pickup, and the restaurant was easy to find with plenty of parking available right next to it. There isn't much seating inside, but I noticed they were doing a steady stream of takeout orders. I ordered a variety of nigiri, sashimi, and rolls, and everything tasted fresh and delicious. I'll definitely be ordering from here again. The service was also very friendly and helpful!

Sashimi and California Roll

Ordered Sushiland through DoorDash and it came super quick. I tried the bento box and picked the 4 piece sashimi, California roll and the beef teriyaki. The tuna, salmon and crab were all fresh! No weird fishy flavor. The California roll was also pretty big and definitely filling. The beef teriyaki was a little fatty, but the sauce was delicious. Generous portions and fresh fish will definitely have me coming back to try more.

I ordered the bento box with beef taiyaki, tonkatsu, and sashimi. The portion size is generous and more than enough for one adult. I really like the unagi don. The flavorful unagi and sauce pair perfectly with the rice. The staff are friendly and serve you fast. They also offer outdoor seating, which is nicely covered for comfort.

Ok it was our first time here and were pleasantly surprised. The yelp reviews did not disappoint. We came around 8:40pm and they're open til 9:30pm. There's two parts to the restaurant, we were sat in the other area away from the kitchen. Small restaurant but the food and service were really good! The lion king was delicious! I haven't had a good one like that in a while, I liked the sauce on top that they used. We also had the soft shell crab (crispy perfection" and the tempura mixed was a big serving and delicious as well. We tried the beef udon and really liked it, the meat was tender and the soup was balanced, not too salty at all it was perfect and it had plenty of vegetables. We also ordered the 49er and they gave us 9 pcs of the roll (maybe they were closing so they gave us an extra one? what a nice gesture) Our bill came to about $100 with a bento box to go. Small parking area but we had no trouble looking for parking. We really enjoyed coming here and would like to check it out again next time with family!

Red dragon roll

Sushiland has been on my list ever since I moved to the area. I finally checked it out and came right when they opened at 1 PM on a Saturday. There was only one other party inside so we were able to get a table right away. Just a heads up this place only has a few tables so it could fill up fast. On the plus side they have their own parking lot which makes things a lot easier. I ordered the half chicken udon and a spicy tuna roll. I also got the red dragon roll. The udon portion felt more like a full size to me. The broth is on the sweeter side which I didn't mind. It came with fish cakes which I'm not a fan of so I took those out. The chicken was good and seemed like it was the same teriyaki chicken they use in other dishes. The spicy tuna roll was solid but the highlight was definitely the red dragon roll. It had shrimp inside and spicy crab with spicy tuna on top. Probably one of the best rolls I've ever had. Everything just worked perfectly together. The customer service was also great. The owner is super sweet and friendly. I'm really glad this spot is close to home because I'll definitely be coming back.

My daughter introduced me to this gem. Small but packed with charm, pleasant and friendly staff and some amazing food ! My go to for any sushi place is the 49er roll ! I know it's an Americanized roll but it so good. Lemon is my favorite so this always hits the spot. I went with the 3 item bento box , chicken teriyaki, gyoza, tempura ! This bento is easily shared it also comes with salad and miso soup. A rare combo of quality and price I have now found my new sushi spot! They have a great menu with lots of options so looking forward to my next visit !

Salmon Bento Box

The food was amazingly good! Rolls were a great size, all portions, including the items on the bento box were Hefty. Fish tasted fresh. Never knew about this place and deserves to be called a gem. Definitely will be back for more! Service was ok, it got quite busy after we arrived and had to wait a while to flag down our server for a to go box and our check; but other than that, food was worth it. Seating was limited, seating available both inside and outside, but maybe I will opt for take out next time

We dined here on 11/27 around 6 p.m. The food was good, and the service was excellent. The restaurant is on the smaller side, with additional seating in a built-on space adjacent to the building. There is plenty of parking available. We ordered the 911 Roll, Volcano Roll, Bento with Teriyaki Salmon and Beef, and the Agedashi Tofu. The rolls were fresh, flavorful, and generously packed with spicy tuna. The teriyaki was tasty but leaned a bit too sweet for our preference. The tofu was perfect, and we thoroughly enjoyed it. The young lady who served us was exceptional--attentive, polite, and highly professional. All in all another good sushi find. Eat local and support our small businesses!

Sushiland Roll

Their Yelp description does NOT lie when they say their sushi is at a reasonable price. You won't find a hole in the wall hole-ier in the wall than Sushiland with as warm service and plentiful servings. With fewer than 8 tables in their small dining area, their lack of mainstream popularity definitely works in their favor because our party of 3 came at 6:00 sharp on a Thursday to no wait at all. My companions ordered bento box sets with the teriyaki salmon/sashimi and mackerel/tonkatsu. The salmon was seasoned well and the sashimi had good color to it, and the mackerel was "some of the best [she'd] ever had" with a great crunch on the pork. Soup and salad were solid and even the unfinished plain rice was taken to go. Now for my dish: the Sushiland roll. Imagine my surprised when I was served what seemed to be a plain spring mix salad topped with poke and avocado after having referenced the menu description. Somewhat dumbfounded, I poked at it for a while and made progress on the top layer of fish until I discovered an ENTIRE ROLL under the salad stuffed with the shrimp tempura, imitation crab, and spicy tuna I was promised. Not even kidding, I was AYCE sushi levels of full after this meal. I will say my meal's fish quality was somewhat on par with what you would expect from an AYCE spot but for only $17.50 and much more attentive service I was more than pleased. Thanks for providing incomparable value and a comforting meal!

Is there an all you can eat joint because it's popping up on yelp that it is so?

Hi, we don't have "all you can eat". Thank you for asking.

Hi, are you open for dine-in now, or is it still takeout only? Thanks

They're open for dine in. My family and I had dinner there last week. However, not many tables inside. Maybe 3-4.

Do they offer real crab in Cali rolls?

Sorry but we don't offer real crab for Cal roll and other rolls.

Did Sushiland raise its price recently after SIP?

Yes

Does this restaurant do sushi platters for takeout similar to Fat Fish Sushi?

Do you have any options for outdoor seating or separate indoor seating currently?

No. We only have takeout orders available.

Are you open during this shelter-in-place for pickup/curbside? I tried calling no answer.

Hi, Mike. Thank you for your inquiry. We are open as normal but only takeout is available. Please refer to our business hours. Also you can make pick up order by phone, or you can also order through Doordash. Thank you for your support and wish you…

Are you open for takeout? I called on 4/3/2020 at 6:50pm but it went to voicemail. I hope you are…

I just got take out today 5/5

Is this place all you can eat?

No.

Can you pay with card?

Yes.

Oh and do not skip on the Yuzu cheesecake it was so good and moist with bits of fresh Yuzu. You could pass on the Matcha cheesecake because that one was kind of dry to me. We made reservations but arrive 40 minutes early. We walked in ten minutes before opening not realizing so we waited outside. The tiny wooden sign at the bottom of the window said closed but the lit up open sign was on. It's simple enough inside but it is small. Our table for four was by the door and I felt a bit cramped. I took the window seat but the sun was beating on me. My work colleague was on the other side of the table and cold underneath the vent. Lots of people came in for takeout and sit down. I can see why they prefer reservations. I saw two guys at the sushi bar and there was one server. I would come back again if I'm in the area.

The only hitch is if you do plan to enjoy this seating you must come with socks. Lucky for us, we were able to buy a couple pair of nylons to enjoy the traditional set up! For dinner, we chose the omakase option, which is the chef's choice of some of the most fresh delicate and buttery sushi I've had in a long time. I came to celebrate my birthday but it really ruined the night for us. First off, reservations were for 7:45. We didn't get seated until 8:15. 30 minutes past is unacceptable. We knew because she called our name first but they got seated and when she called the other party, we realized she already sat down. Not only did she not fix it, she basically ignored it and pretended like she didn't make a mistake. She could've easily apologized to the other party and made them go to their assigned seat but nope. She made us sit where I clearly did not want to sit. It made us argue amongst ourselves and just created a terrible birthday evening. I did not enjoy it at all.
