This is a great place to eat udon on a chilly evening! We also tried the donburi that had a good proportion & came with a complimentary miso soup. The food was great but minus one star because they only had two servers for the whole restaurant and they couldn't keep up with all the tables. They checked in on us once but we had to wait a long time to get the check.

This place is great!!!The rolls were really good, the lemon drop was so good and the chef gave us some sushi to try and it was so good. The baked mussels were really good too. The team was super nice and helpful and happy to give recommendations.I would highly recommend it and will definitely be back!

It was Friday date night, and my better half and I didn't want to drive far, so we tried Naked Fish. We've driven, but only a few times. It's in a strip mall by Safe Way and 24 Hour Fitness. There is plenty of parking. The restaurant is small but has roughly 14 tables set up in 4 tops and 2 tops, and there are about a dozen chairs around the sushi bar. Decor is just okay. Don't sit at the front tables by the door; you will freeze. We did, and we ended up asking to move. The menu is a fairly normal sushi restaurant menu. They did have specials, but we were never told them. They have them written on a chalkboard, but then people sit in front of the chalkboard, so we didn't see it until after our order was taken. We ordered: Bento Box Two Miso Soups Agedashi Tofu Spicy Tuna Roll Miso soup was super tasty and very nice on a chilly night. Bento was good. My better half enjoyed it. Agedashi Tofu was good. The sauce was a bit salty, but I like that, so it didn't bother me. The tofu was soft and creamy. Spicy tuna roll--I never received it, so I wouldn't know. I had the tofu and soup and ordered the spicy tuna roll. My better half and I shared the tofu, and then his Bento arrived. Still no Tuna Roll. My better half literally had one piece of chicken left on his plate when a server asked me, "Can we get you anything?" I said you never brought me dinner. They never came back and told me why. They did apologize and remove my soup and tofu from the bill. I don't know if they were understaffed or just focusing more on the number of to-go orders they had, but I left hungry. The staff is very kind. They are the reason for the two stars. I hate downing local businesses. However, the system has to get better. I'm just not sure how you missed my dinner. Anyway, life goes on. One other thing to note: They charge you for take out containers. You mean if I buy my food, sit down in the restaurant, eat, and don't finish, I have to pay you more to take it home with me? Nice. I'll bring Tupperware next time. It was not a great experience, but again, kudos to the staff for trying. I'll be back to try again. Remember to eat local!

Naked Fish is a cool spot for Japanese food. Staff is friendly and attentive. I like the baked mussels. The topping is creamy and compliments the mussels. The spicy tuna rolls are delicious. It's a favorite of ours to order. The assorted sashimi is good. Decent sized pieces of fish and tastes fresh. Teriyaki chicken is good. It's one of my favorites on the menu.

This place will always be a go to for my family and I. Personally, I have always had mixed reviews of this place but always coming back here because of how often my parents love to come here, so it holds a lot of sentimental value. The reason I say I have always had mixed reviews is just because- to put it plainly- I have been to other sushi places that I simply would prefer to go to over this place! Sometimes the rolls here might not be as fresh or not as high in quality compared to other places. This will definitely show after trying out many different sushi places. However, I WILL tell you this, you will never find another place that'll have sushi and bentos for this price!! You get a great bang for your buck here and they will never skimp you on anything! My go to roll here is the Sunny Roll - its basically a crunchy california roll and its super good. I really have been to many many other sushi places and none have ever been this place in terms of price! Theyre very consistent with their food. The in-restaurant service is also always very good. There is a sweet older man who always serves us when we're there and he always greets us with a smile, treats us well, and always checks on us! If youre looking for some pretty good sushi, packed bento boxes, and more for a good price definitely think about coming here!!!! Food: 3.5/5 Service: 5/5 Bang for your buck: 5/5

We love eating at Naked Fish. The food and the service are consistently great! We especially love the tempura, Lion King Roll, the Dream Roll and the Hawaiian Roll. The bento boxes are always delicious and very filling too. We will always come to Naked Fish when we are craving sushi or Udon.

Just look at the quality now compare the before

Ask the Community - Naked Fish

Why are they not answering their phone are they closed?

Currently, during pandemic, their hours are from 4pm to 9pm for take out and dine-in. They are not open for lunch time hence why nobody answers the phone prior to 4pm.

Do they have a different number? Every time I call it's busy.

Not sure if there is a different number. However they may be offering take out so best go there direct and ask. Sorry I don't have a better answer than this.

What are the store hours? Can we call ahead to place and order?

For the Shelter-In-Place, 4-9 PM. You can call ahead to place an order but it may be busy/take awhile to reach someone during peak hours.

Is Naked Fish open during the shelter in place? I've tried calling a few times but no answer.

They are open but later in the evening

Integrated into downtown Hayward just a block from the theater and other eateries and drink spots, Khao Hom has made a strong impression in the local community drawing a good following for weekend brunch as well as weekday lunch. With street parking right in front as well as sharing free public parking in the lot behind the restaurant, once you've slogged through traffic to get to this area, you'll be able to easily park and venture in for your food experience. As you enter, you'll likely need to wait for one of their staff members to seat you in one of their two dining spaces. The rooms are well lit and enhance the ambiance of your meal (and photos) with natural lighting. When seated, you'll get their food and drinks menu in addition to finding their dessert menu at the table. As standard, each table gets a carafe of water for you to serve yourselves. Their menu is quite extensive in representing popular Thai flavors with a bit of flare. You'll find curries, soups, noodles and chef specialties in their own sections of the menu. They also have some alcohol infused drinks for those looking for a full brunch experience. As a novice to some Thai dishes, I did have to ask the staff to explain a bit about certain dishes, but there were a few that caught my eye and never let go. Thai tea - flavorful and bold; rich but not too sweet Matcha latte - rich matcha flavor and creamy; best sipped and can be packed in a to-go cup if you don't finish Tom yum crab omelet - beautifully crafted omurice-esque dish where you'll find white rice encased in an egg omelet topped with succulent pieces of crab meat and smothered in tom yum soup. This dish is not only a pleasure to look at but the taste and textures in each bite will have you salivating for more until the dish completely disappears. This unique take is a must get for first timers! Roti gai tod - crispy fried yet succulent chicken served with a small serving of creamy yellow curry, white rice, and a roti alongside their delicious chili sauce. Fantastic balance of textures and flavors will have your tongue dancing from the spices. Tom kha soup - a bowl of comfort with a whole lot of shredded chicken, red onions, and mushrooms with a few big quarters of fresh tomatoes. It's not as creamy as I would like but the flavor is there with its abundance in lemongrass. The portion is large as one order can easily split into two bowls. Fried ice cream - a meal topper and sweet indulgence for those looking to try something new and rarely found elsewhere. This giant meteorite of a breaded and fried ball of vanilla ice cream is topped with chocolate fudge, powdered sugar, a generous helping of whipped cream and plenty of fruit (strawberries, blueberries, kiwi, grapes, and cantaloupe). Definitely shareable and a surprising star of their dessert menu - they could definitely do more to advertise this! The staff were super friendly and quick to take dirty dishes out of the way. They kept the place clean, served the food promptly and treated all of their customers with respect and smiles. Top notch crew from the front of the house to the back. Furthermore, should you need the restrooms, they do have two gender neutral rooms that were decently maintained. Overall, Khao Hom is not your everyday Thai restaurant nor is it your run of the mill brunch spot - this is a unique experience with food created out of passion to merge these together. The result is an aesthetically pleasing yet hunger extinguishing meal that will have you discovering new flavors and craving for more. With its proximity to the city center, it's a great a spot to plan out a lunch or brunch before a nice stroll around or a movie. Thai food has never looked and tasted so good!

I may be critiquing them harder than others on their papaya salad and Nam Khao because my mom does it best (no bias...). However, their portions are large and the flavors are great all around. I think they do some items better than others, but I have yet to be disappointed by any of their food. It's always great to try something new on the menu and be pleasantly surprised. But aside from the food, the customer service and ambiance encourages us to come back every time. They're kind, patient, and attentive all around. Whether we're just picking up food, dining in at peak times or during the quiet hours, they always deliver a great experience. Their dining room is fairly large and they have a softer lighting that compliments that TLC decor well. Through and through, Chai Thai is consistent and reliable.

I didn't care for the bun with the hot dog or the other noodle dish. Later that day, my daughter mentioned she had found hair in a pork bun and that her cousin had eaten it. She also said every item he picked up had hair on it, which was disappointing. I didn't confirm this with my cousin, but it would have been helpful to have someone inform the staff.
