Dragon roll
Thomas C.

Fried oysters: portion small, taste is good, decent as an appetizer but not much to say Dragon roll: ordered since we were looking for unagi, portion is quite small, only 8 pieces, price per value ratio is meddling Steak dinner set: okay in the sense of portion, steak is tough, very saucy plate Grilled squid: very nice, grilled really well Salmon kama: good option, would recommend Lion king roll: classic, pretty nice, its hot

My new favorite sushi spot in San Leandro! The restaurant was packed on the two separate occasions I went but we were still seated fairly quickly. The staff is very attentive and I didn't have to wait long for my food. The fish is high quality here and fresh! I'm craving the toro bowl just from looking at this picture again. The restaurant is brightly lit and has limited seating.

The food, the service, and the ambiance of this place are all amazing. I never get tired of their miso soup! Our waitress was so attentive and friendly; we're definitely coming back! c:

4.5/5 Angry Fish Sushi is a great spot for a date night! My fiancé and I can literally walk here, so the convenience alone is a huge plus. They also have plenty of parking in the back, which makes visiting easy. Our go-to order is the chicken teriyaki bowls -- the portions are huge and will definitely leave you full. They also offer happy hour. The menu options during happy hour are somewhat limited, but there are still enough choices to enjoy. Overall, this place stays pretty busy for a reason. The food is good, the atmosphere is nice, and the location is convenient. My only complaint is that they could definitely use more seating. We'll definitely keep coming back!

Cherry Bomb - way less prawns on top than I saw in the menu.

What brings me here after 11+ years is their happy hour deals! $1.50 oysters that are fresh and creamy, apps that are unique and flavorful...and oh yea, their regular menu is itself extensive! So many specialty rolls to choose from.

I've been coming to Angry Fish for years. A small but, wonderful hidden gem on a busy Main Street in San Leandro. Twin brothers who look alike, JACKIE & VINCENT remembered our orders & drinks immediately as soon as we're seated. Their sushi rolls are hand rolled, nigiri was fresh, sashimi is outstanding, service is quick and accurate. Come early and hungry for the best experience! Thank You Angry Fish!

Had a late night dinner after church. We didn't have to wait. Service is top natch. Always checking up on us and making sure we were happy with our food. Now the food..love it!! We been here a few times. I still like it. I lik the fresh tasting sushi and 1st time trying the oyster shooter. I like it. We were very happy with our food. The kids enjoyed there food. We were happy with it. They have plenty of tables so they can accommodate a lot of people. Easy to find this restaurant.

Angry Sushi is such a great little spot in San Leandro. The restaurant is small but feels really cozy and welcoming, which made the whole experience even better. There's also a small parking lot in the back as and plenty of street parking when we visited so parking was super easy. We ordered a handful of items that I don't remember but mostly from their Angry Special dishes and everything was really good! Super fresh, well-balanced flavors, and nicely presented. We happened to dine during happy hour and was able to enjoy dishes front heir HH menu. It also included also included 1.50 oysters. Definitely a place I'd come back to, especially for happy hour.

I thought I left a review already as I've been here twice! It's been a while since I was last here so I can't give too many details atm but basically super unassuming yet very delicious. It is not terribly priced but it is on the pricier side. I will say when I came with my family (8 people) the server was AMAZING. It was all our first time so we had a lot of questions and asks of him but he was very patient and understanding. I came again with some friends and we came closer to closing so we actually saw them cleaning their prep station which was kinda nice in terms of a cleanliness concern for raw fish. Once I go again, I'll be sure to confirm the best rolls I've had. But I can recommend the seared salmon nigiri hands down.

Negi Toro Bowl !!! So gooood

This is close to where take my pup to his sniff spot, so I know there is parking in the back. I sat at the bar and perused the menu. Staff was attentive but not overly. Anytime I see a salmon skin handroll or ask for it because I don't see it on the menu, I know it's a decent place. They also had some specials so I just had to order the May Special roll. The thing about sushi, is you can't just eat with your stomach or eyes, so I've learned to order a couple things to start off with and then once the food digests determine if I should, not can, order something else. I did and order the saba sushi. I also treated myself to a Sapporo beer. Since I was a the the bar I could see them making my food fresh. It was all really good. It's a hopping place to with all types of folks coming in., BTW if the fire department orders from here, must be good too. Will be back,

Not many tables here, but for sat right away. Menu is pretty standard, ordered veggie tempura appetizer, a roll, sushi nigiri combo, and some drinks. Everything was quick, and fresh, but the rolls and the nigiri were both pretty heavy on the rice. Tempura was a little overdone for my liking too, but nothing was bad. Overall not a bad experience, but for a ~$90 sushi outing, I need it to hit, and with a handful of other sushi spots in the immediate area, I can't say I'm committed to this one in any way.

The dining area is a bit small, but it doesn't take away from the quality service. I ordered the combo bento, and the teriyaki beef was absolutely delicious. Overall, I'm happy to give this restaurant a five-star rating and highly recommend it.

My friend Holly drove all the way from Sacramento so I was keen to make the trip special in every way. Conveniently located, the restaurant accepts reservations, and there is an option to be seated at regular tables or in a lovely traditional Japanese styled seating area, where you dine seated cross legged! The only hitch is if you do plan to enjoy this seating you must come with socks. Lucky for us, we were able to buy a couple pair of nylons to enjoy the traditional set up! For dinner, we chose the omakase option, which is the chef's choice of some of the most fresh delicate and buttery sushi I've had in a long time. The size of the nigiri was just right, proportioned well with not too much rice and garnishes where it actually made sense as an enhancement, versus a detractor from the freshness of the fish. I also took a chance to order an appetizer of fried chicken knees! They were tasty and exactly how you might imagine them as gristly chewy and very satisfying for an adventurous eater like myself! We finished our meal with a lovely mound of mochi! The staff was so kind and very accommodating, especially after learning my friend had traveled so far to dine with them. I will definitely come back and wish them great success as an exceptional sushi experience in their local area.

I came to celebrate my birthday but it really ruined the night for us. First off, reservations were for 7:45. We didn't get seated until 8:15. 30 minutes past is unacceptable. How unprofessional is that? And I understand that sometimes it's the customers that refuse to leave but to me it just looked like poor management. The server should have set all their customer's expectations. They should've cleared out their first seating at least 30 minutes prior to their second seating! Fine. When we finally get to sit down and the hostess messed up the seating. They seated another party at our bar/counter seats. We knew because she called our name first but they got seated and when she called the other party, we realized she already sat down. Not only did she not fix it, she basically ignored it and pretended like she didn't make a mistake. She could've easily apologized to the other party and made them go to their assigned seat but nope. She made us sit where I clearly did not want to sit. It made us argue amongst ourselves and just created a terrible birthday evening. I did not enjoy it at all. And then comparing to previous times I've dined here, the food isn't as creative or tasty anymore. Sad because I was just saying this was my favorite spot on our way to dinner tonight.
