I am so happy that Sheng Kee finally opened its new location in Dublin (right in the Ulferts Center; where the old Kee Wah was). As a long-time fan of their other Bay Area spots, I was curious to see how this new one measured up, and it didn't disappoint. The first thing you notice when you walk in is how bright and clean it is. So glad I was able to pick up bread from this location now.

I happened to ordering lunch nearby and found out this place is opened. It doesn't have any advertising about the store opening. The owner looks like the same as the Kee Wah before, not 100% sure though. The free red envelope for $20 purchase is all gone by the time we visit. The pastries and bread are typical. They probably made in a central kitchen. Happy to have another option here. We will come back later. I wish they offer drinks like other Sheng Kee locations.

We got the buttercream bread, sweet rice donut, chocolate cloud cake, milk cornet, and the strawberry milk bread. For drinks we got the red velvet hot cocoa and the caramel macchiato. The buttercream bread was my absolute favorite out of the bunch. The butter cream wasn't too sweet and the bread was sooo soft. The ratio of cream to bread was just right, so each bite of bread had a sweet balance of the fluffy cream. The sweet rice donut was okay. To be, it could have been more softer, but it was expected for it to go stale a little bit since it's been out lying for a while. Some things are just unavoidable. The chocolate cloud cake was really good, but there was so much cream. Unlike the buttercream bread, there was imbalance here, but I adored the giant strawberries sandwiched between the cream. The consistency of the actual cake was perfect though, because sometimes I know it can get really soggy from the cream. Next time I would give another cake a try instead. The milk cornet was great! Tried it out because it seemed really popular; there was only one left. This pastry like a croissant stuffed with milky cream. The cornet was perfectly crunchy and the milk cream wasn't too sweet. Next time, I want to give the blueberry version a try. The strawberry milk bread impressed me. It was super soft, and I like how there was a really small amount of cream. Like, I understood what the cream was trying to do there. One bite of just bread would be pretty dry, but a little bit of cream can help smooth things out but still keep the spotlight on the bread. The red velvet hot cocoa drink was what surprised me the most. I suppose this drink is Valentines day edition, so it's not always here. I was so surprised when I opened the lid and saw hot pink foam! Like, DANG! Tous les jours really went out of their way to give us a sip of Valentines day! This drink is on the sweeter end, though. A friend said that the caramel macchiato was just okay, nothing surprising or impressive about it. I guess it was a safe order. The baristas were really efficient with our drinks; both drinks took five minutes or less! I love the interior of this bakery. So cute yet so easygoing. Perfect ambiance for catching up with some girlfriends!

Everything looked incredible in the pastry case and you can tell the pastries are made with care #1 in SF area for their croissants, which are buttery, flaky, and perfectly baked. You can watch the bakers through the window outside. What we tried: Honey Bear Latte ($6.25) - lightly sweet and comforting Almond Croissant ($7) - flaky with a generous almond filling Egg & Turkey Breakfast Bun ($6) - simple, savory, and satisfying Chouquette ($2) - light, airy, and the perfect little bite Kouign-Amann ($6.75) - crispy, caramelized, and buttery goodness Quiche Lorraine ($11.50) - rich and flavorful Chakchouka Croissant ($8) - a fun savory twist with bold flavors The space feels cozy and welcoming, making it a great spot for brunch or a coffee break. Seating is first come, first serve, so it can fill up quickly on weekends. Staff members were so accommodating helping me with the adjustment of the sweetness of my latte. If you know, you know. The pastries here are absolutely worth the detour--and honestly, wherever I see a Paris Baguette, I do pull over. That includes locations I've visited in Northern California, North Brunswick, New Jersey, Atlanta, Georgia, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and even the one here in Charlotte down in Pineville. It's a bit of a drive for me, but when I'm in that area, I always make a point to stop in and pick up a couple of their delicious croissant-donut pastries and marzipan or almond croissants. That's the beauty of this bakery--it's a chain, yes, but the consistency is what keeps me coming back. I have yet to be disappointed. Of course, I had to stop at this Hilton Head location--and I didn't come empty-handed. Food connects people, and bringing pastries to your host is always a winning move. I picked up three different varieties of their famous croissant-donut style pastries (similar to the well-known cronut): * Chocolate * Tiramisu * Mango And I added two large almond croissants that were beautifully filled, flaky, and indulgent. Everything looked fresh, full, and irresistible. The setup inside is easy and efficient. It's self-serve: you grab a tray, line it with parchment, use the tongs, and select whatever catches your eye--from baguettes to cakes to coffee drinks. Checkout was quick, Apple Pay was accepted, and the whole experience felt smooth and well organized. The space was clean, friendly, and inviting, with plenty of outdoor seating. Bottom line: Whenever you see a Paris Baguette on your radar, pull over. It's dependable, delicious, and perfect for picking up pastries to share--or to treat yourself. For me, it's one of those rare places that delivers the same quality every single time, no matter the city--and that kind of consistency is something I truly appreciate as a traveler and lifelong foodie.

Also had picked up a slice of their tiramisu which was okay. There was just something different to the taste/quality. St least there wasn't a piece of plastic in it like last time.
