East Bay Bakery is a to-go only bakery (no seating). It has a variety of pastries and often has different items each time I go there. Although the prices are a bit high, sometimes they have day old pastries if you're looking for a bargain! Staff is usually friendly as well.

We came in Sunday around 1pm and wanted to get a loaf of bread. It's disappointed to find out they don't have slicer. We ended up getting a chocolate croissant and 2 pain sussie. They both are below average. $21 for three pastries are not flakey. I even warmed it in an oven. They taste more like bread than croissant.

So glad to see them at the Walnut Creek farmers market now and not just in their store fronts my go to is still the pastrami and cheese croissant! It's just perfection! -also their chocolate chip cookie! Is my must get once a week!

Interesting bakes but not worth the $8-$9 price point. Most of the bakes in SF are similarly priced and it's really cute how the cafe is East Bay repping. Got the Kouign Aman, Almond Croissant, Basque Cheesecake and another pastry with crème and plums, they were fluffy and the almond croissant was flaky but not notable compared to others. Cheesecake was okay, but not worth the price point nor drive as it is a far ways off.

A little disappointing. The Baguette was kinda doughy inside, not light and airy as it should be. Didn't take butter well as it should. The almond croissant was nice. Sizeable but expensive at $6. Difficult to find parking. The staff as friendly. I'm sticking with Mason Benoit.

Best focaccia in the area!! Regular and large, only in Fri-Sat in the store, and Sat at Danville Farmers Market, if you get there early enough.

I am a new fan of this bakery. Let me preface this. My family have our own two bakeries in the San Jose area. They have a phenomenal reputation for quality and my opinion of this East Bay bakery will be complementary to our expectations. I give them a five star for the quality of their baked goods And so far what I have sampled has been excellent. The layers in the croissants are phenomenal and the taste is yummy. I have tried it three times and have found it to be very consistent. I will consistently come by and pick up some baked goods often. The only thing I wish they had was longer hours during the Week But the day that they do have long hours I will just have to wait till then or hit him up on the weekend in the morning as they will run out very quickly so thank you and looking forward to doing business with you.

The line moved too quick I wish i couldve have more time to decide so i ended up getting more than I wanted. We got there Chocolate croissant, brioche, Flan Vanille, macaroons, marshmallow, 2 tuna sandwich, ham and cheese croissant and the croque monsieur. Although everything was pleasant our favorite was the Flan Vanille and the tuna sandwiches. The Flan vanille is my new favorite dessert going forward. I know it was a busy day and the staff was busy with the orders and service making tables available however they could improve in checking their bathroom and trash bins. All bins were too full even one by the counter. We notice that the staff continously wiping the counter but didnt notice the overflowing trash bin. Other than that i couldnt stop bragging about Mason Benoit on my social media. We will definitely come back.

I usually only pick up stuff that's ready to go so still a decent in and out of someone drops u and takes a lap.

Karen, the owner, took the time to walk me through the sampler box of the different wedding cake flavors, even though it started to get busy in the store she was very kind to make it a personal experience. There were 12 different flavors in the sampler ranging from standard red velvet or vanilla cake, to some fancier ones such as poppy seed cake with lemon curd. Our favorite was the vanilla cake with apricot preserve and we will almost certainly be having that as one of our layers. I am very excited to continue working with them as we design our cake and next time I go in I will definitely be grabbing one of th delicious looking cannoli!

I was super overwhelmed handling other wedding details, and every conversation with them made me feel so comfortable. I talked to Karen a week beforehand to confirm all cake details, and she was SO warm and had the best "We got this! Don't even worry" attitude - I can't even describe how relieved she made me feel. They were able to make our whole cake gluten-free due to my own allergy. I have had celiac for almost 20 years, and still can't even bake anything remotely edible after countless attempts. The fact that they made this cake gluten free and we all RAVED about it is 1) a miracle in itself and 2) makes me actively very jealous that I can't try their normal baked goods! I didn't even really eat dinner at my own wedding, but you bet I had two pieces of cake. We are super grateful, and I would recommend them to anyone looking for a wedding cake!

So I went for the classic Bacon, Egg & Cheese with a Hash brown Crisp because you can't beat that breakfast sando staple. My friend got the Smoked Tri-Tip one and yea... gorgeous. Also, can we talk about their English muffins? I asked if I could just buy a dozen to go because they look that good. The bacon, egg & cheese had microgreens, and pickled onions (that pickled onion hit with the acidity). The tri-tip had that slow-smoked flavor and a fried egg on top. Overall: great food, great energy, excellent service. Janneh making sure everything was right. I'll absolutely be back for another Muffin Lab sando (and yeah, maybe request a dozen muffins to go too )

From the moment you step inside, there is an unmistakable warmth to the space not just from the ovens but from the overall vibe. It is bright, upbeat, and welcoming in a way that immediately puts you at ease and sets the tone for a great experience. We started with the Pop Tarts which deserve special recognition. These are not novelty pastries. They are elevated, flaky, buttery, and packed with flavor. The kind of treat that makes you pause mid bite and immediately realize this place takes its craft seriously. The breakfast burrito was equally impressive. Hearty, well balanced, and comforting without being heavy, it was clearly made with intention and quality ingredients rather than shortcuts. The waffles with blueberries and whipped cream were outstanding. Crisp on the outside and soft and airy on the inside, with fresh blueberries that added brightness and a whipped cream that felt light and indulgent rather than overly sweet. It was the kind of dish that manages to feel nostalgic and refined at the same time. Then came the pastries. Any attempt at restraint disappeared quickly. Everything in the case looked incredible and after tasting the first few items it became obvious that passing on anything would have been a mistake. We ended up buying far more pastries than planned simply because the quality across the board was that high. There were no weak links. What truly elevates Life Is Sweet beyond excellent food is the energy of the place. There is a positivity that fills the room and it is completely effortless. It makes you want to slow down, sit longer, and enjoy where you are. Whether you are stopping in for a quick breakfast or lingering with coffee and conversation, the environment naturally lifts your mood. Life Is Sweet is not just a bakery or breakfast spot. It is a place that genuinely enhances your day. The food is exceptional, the atmosphere is inviting, and the experience stays with you well after you leave. This is a must visit in Danville and the kind of place you will find yourself thinking about long after the last pastry is gone.
