So excited to eat at the new Anderson, but I missed the little cute bakery that used to be here

Pricey but yummy. Great service. We had the pesto cheese bread, chocolate croissant, and raspberry cream cheese danish. Everything was so fresh. The pesto bread literally crunched and crackled with each bite. Delicious! They had fully stocked shelves of lovely offerings. Plenty of indoor and outdoor food tables. Parking is easy and you can walk to Trader Joe's. Highly recommend.

Andersen Bakery, San Ramon: 2024 Jul 30 (3.66 of 5) The food looks better than the taste. The empanadas are cold and dry (3 of 5). The Crème Brulee tastes good but the top is too thick (4 of 5). Service: The service gets a high 4. Overall, this averages a 4 for me.

    Too good to go bag

I paid $7.50 for a Too Good To Go surprise bag and what I received was shocking--everything was stale, dried out, and clearly past its prime. The food was so old and unappetizing that I had to throw it all in the trash. This is not about expecting gourmet quality at a discount--it's about basic food safety and integrity. The whole point of this app is to prevent waste, not pass it on to customers. I felt ripped off and honestly a bit sickened. Please don't waste your money here. You're better off buying something fresh elsewhere or supporting businesses that actually respect the idea behind this program.

Edges of bread very chewy, day old? Center had sweetened cream cheese, soft bread.

Andersen Bakery opened in Crème Si Bon's space. Small service counter, 2 counters contained baked goods. No seating inside. 3 tables outside. Clean space looks smaller than before. Quickly serviced by 2 Latinas present. Offerings: various sandwiches, soups, salads, cheese board combos, pastry covfefe combo. Buys: pastry covfefe combo (6.75) -decided to get this since hard to make up mind. Crowd formed soonafter. -servers patient in explaining what pastries were in the offer, though they didn't know in the beginning. -Angie Dickinson is Peet's Coffee's best though it tasted watery today. Smooth, not much body... -Cream Chez Walnut bread was too chewy around the edges, may have been a day old. Looked like wheat bread. 3.5,stars not much better of a special, only saved 50 cents?

A brand new bakery. It was sad to know Creme Si Bon is gone. But happy to see Andersen bakery nearby my house opens a store here. Store is clean and organized. Staffs are new. Trainings are in progress. It's understandable. I wish they could have some seatings and more drinks options. Overall, not a bad option for quick grab n go place.

Jalapeño bread and clam chowder soup

I've been to the other locations but this is a new setup to pick your own pastries. This location is much smaller/cramped. One table inside and rest are outside. I was in the neighborhood and just wanted to try it. I got my usual, jalapeño bread and clam chowder soup to go. The lady at the counter was sweet. PASS on the clam chowder soup next time. It looked disgusting. I opened it, it was clumpy and oily. I don't know why but I tried it and it was sour and spit it out immediately. Next time I'll just get the bread and pastries since I can see how it looks.

Beyond Curry Pan... inside dough is not done yet ‍

It was my first try and unfortunately, it was not a good one. I had beyond curry pan, the taste was so off and worst, come to realize the inside dough is not done yet, mushy/sticky.

Found this place yelping while hanging out at Bishop Ranch Center. This bakery is not too far from the city center. It's located next to Trader Joe's. This bakery has a variety of different pastries. I ended up getting the pesto cheese bread, the fruit pastry, and walnut cheese pastry. All of them tasted very good to me. The fruit pastry was good because all of the fruits were fresh and also the dough had those nice air gaps made it soft. The walnut pastry was decent and you can taste the walnut in the dough. The pesto pastry is better when warmed up, though I feel that the cheese could have been more flavorful or at least had more saltiness but instead was more neutral. The service here is ok. The two people that were there the day I went were friendly, though for one English is their second language and it was hard for them to understand what I was saying when I tried to converse with them. But that's ok. Prices are average and typical of what other bakeries in the Bay Area are pricing pastries these days. BTW they open at 8AM which is a bit inconvenient for me because I typically like to start my day earlier and I would end up not being able to go here until I get off work. Overall all the pastries were good, probably not the best I've had but for the area and for the convenience being not too far off the freeway I'd say this place is very decent.

Hmmmmm...what a disappointment. Staff was very rude. My hubz went yesterday and purchased a few items. This afternoon, we came by to support a new business again. The two female employees were rude and they were out of most of their items. I understand it was a little later; but, the small interaction I had was a disappointment. I will say understand your customers and demographics. They were friendly to two older haole ladies; but, dismissive of others. That is not tolerable. Perhaps it was a "one off"; but, based on this, they lost potential loyal customers. I'll make the drive to Dublin to Paris Baguette and Tous Le Jous.

Best bakery in town! very nice bakery, with friendly staff. Everything on the menu is delicious. Highly recommended

Karen, the owner, took the time to walk me through the sampler box of the different wedding cake flavors, even though it started to get busy in the store she was very kind to make it a personal experience. There were 12 different flavors in the sampler ranging from standard red velvet or vanilla cake, to some fancier ones such as poppy seed cake with lemon curd. Our favorite was the vanilla cake with apricot preserve and we will almost certainly be having that as one of our layers. I am very excited to continue working with them as we design our cake and next time I go in I will definitely be grabbing one of th delicious looking cannoli!

I was super overwhelmed handling other wedding details, and every conversation with them made me feel so comfortable. I talked to Karen a week beforehand to confirm all cake details, and she was SO warm and had the best "We got this! Don't even worry" attitude - I can't even describe how relieved she made me feel. They were able to make our whole cake gluten-free due to my own allergy. I have had celiac for almost 20 years, and still can't even bake anything remotely edible after countless attempts. The fact that they made this cake gluten free and we all RAVED about it is 1) a miracle in itself and 2) makes me actively very jealous that I can't try their normal baked goods! I didn't even really eat dinner at my own wedding, but you bet I had two pieces of cake. We are super grateful, and I would recommend them to anyone looking for a wedding cake!

We got the buttercream bread, sweet rice donut, chocolate cloud cake, milk cornet, and the strawberry milk bread. For drinks we got the red velvet hot cocoa and the caramel macchiato. The buttercream bread was my absolute favorite out of the bunch. The butter cream wasn't too sweet and the bread was sooo soft. The ratio of cream to bread was just right, so each bite of bread had a sweet balance of the fluffy cream. The sweet rice donut was okay. To be, it could have been more softer, but it was expected for it to go stale a little bit since it's been out lying for a while. Some things are just unavoidable. The chocolate cloud cake was really good, but there was so much cream. Unlike the buttercream bread, there was imbalance here, but I adored the giant strawberries sandwiched between the cream. The consistency of the actual cake was perfect though, because sometimes I know it can get really soggy from the cream. Next time I would give another cake a try instead. The milk cornet was great! Tried it out because it seemed really popular; there was only one left. This pastry like a croissant stuffed with milky cream. The cornet was perfectly crunchy and the milk cream wasn't too sweet. Next time, I want to give the blueberry version a try. The strawberry milk bread impressed me. It was super soft, and I like how there was a really small amount of cream. Like, I understood what the cream was trying to do there. One bite of just bread would be pretty dry, but a little bit of cream can help smooth things out but still keep the spotlight on the bread. The red velvet hot cocoa drink was what surprised me the most. I suppose this drink is Valentines day edition, so it's not always here. I was so surprised when I opened the lid and saw hot pink foam! Like, DANG! Tous les jours really went out of their way to give us a sip of Valentines day! This drink is on the sweeter end, though. A friend said that the caramel macchiato was just okay, nothing surprising or impressive about it. I guess it was a safe order. The baristas were really efficient with our drinks; both drinks took five minutes or less! I love the interior of this bakery. So cute yet so easygoing. Perfect ambiance for catching up with some girlfriends!

It's a bit of a drive for me, but when I'm in that area, I always make a point to stop in and pick up a couple of their delicious croissant-donut pastries and marzipan or almond croissants. That's the beauty of this bakery--it's a chain, yes, but the consistency is what keeps me coming back. I have yet to be disappointed. Of course, I had to stop at this Hilton Head location--and I didn't come empty-handed. Food connects people, and bringing pastries to your host is always a winning move. I picked up three different varieties of their famous croissant-donut style pastries (similar to the well-known cronut): * Chocolate * Tiramisu * Mango And I added two large almond croissants that were beautifully filled, flaky, and indulgent.
