The pizza here is pretty tasty. It takes a little bit longer to have ready than some of the other restaurants in the roundhouse so if your buddies order elsewhere they will have their food ahead of you. I got the diablo pizza which comes with sausage and peppercinis and was pretty good. I wouldn't mind it if they went heavier on the toppings but I'd still order this again. The folks were nice. They use a big open flame oven and they have plenty of drink options. I'd return but perhaps not on a weekly basis.

I had the special panini - eggplant parmigiana. Eggplant was so thin that if you weren't told what it was you would have no clue what you were eating. Also, the piece of eggplant was so small that there was an inch+ of just bread around the borders. Split pea soup was good, and the sweet lady who took my order was very kind and helpful.

$5 for half a pizza is pretty decent! Thin crust, Neapolitan Style Pizza. I had the Village Green. Super yummy! Pesto, chicken and tomatoes ...winning!!! I also tried the Mac & Cheese. I wasn't a fan. Stick to the pizzas! I will be back to try the lasagna and cannoli.

You can definitely get better tasting food for better value elsewhere. I checked out Round House for the first time with colleagues today, and unfortunately it wasn't that great of an experience. I should have known better based off of the number of folks waiting for their order. The other two options were thriving while this one seemed pretty dead. I ended up getting the half panini and cup of soup special. At $8 it didn't seem like a bad deal...but what I ended up getting was a semi-warm cup of soup and a sad looking half a sandwich. The textures were okay (panini had a good crunch), but the flavors were extremely bland. Service seemed pretty friendly though...so adding one star back for that. I'd recommend you save yourself the money and go elsewhere.

The only chocolate I came across were the chocolate-covered gummies, so if you're a chocolate lover like me, you might leave craving more. They also offer other sweets like cookies and cupcakes, but the real star here is the sour candy. It's easy to get carried away while filling your bag--everything looks so tempting! I'll definitely keep this place in mind whenever I'm in the mood for sour candy. Service was pleasant with a smile!

We noticed tables of candies and a whole wall of candy that you can choose from each candy was labeled with different countries where the candies came from which I thought was pretty cool. The people asked us if we need any help to let them know. We did notice that the prices were pretty high. So for 1 pound of candy in the bag it was $25. However, the girls did pick out a couple pieces of candy for each and we spent about $4.50. This place is definitely cute and provides a lot of different types of candies, but it is kind of pricey. I would definitely still come back when I have the extra funds.

They sell a ham & cheese croissant, coffees, teas, lattes, and four flavors of Japanese shaved ice called kakigori, which is the star of the show. The texture of this shaved ice is like fluffy cool softness that melts in your mouth. It is different than the traditional shaved ice and it is far from a snow cone. We ordered mango and kinako (a roasted soybean flour commonly mixed with sugar). These are large desserts! It takes time to make them since there are fresh ingredients inside. The mango was superb with little bits of fresh mango buried inside the ice. Not sickeningly sweet like the syrups most places use. My husband's had little mochi pieces mixed inside. It is common to add kinako to mochi so this was a bonus and a nice surprise. The kinako dessert was sweeter than the mango. Please know that there seems to be no a/c in this little shop but she has fans going. We went in the late afternoon so it was really uncomfortable inside. I had to leave and wait outside until the dessert was ready. It's hard to take these home as it melts fast so we sat inside to enjoy them. It was like heaven in my mouth and it cooled me down instantly. You must be patient as it takes at least 10-15 minutes for her to prepare the desserts but it is worth the wait! There is a small parking lot right in front shared with other businesses. Located right off the freeway behind Burger King.

I recommend sharing a triple scoop because that's cheaper than buying 2 singles. I think gelato at this price is unheard of in the bay area, let alone in Blackhawk/Danville of all places. I guess the rent isn't too bad because the place is small, but it is nice and the service is really good too! Definitely will be back! I'm actually no longer as surprised at the stellar ratings. I mean 4.9 star average is still insane, but I'd expect nothing less than 4.5-4.7 to be honest. I like the pistachio, biscoff, cookies and cream, stracciatella, vanilla, and dubai chocolate flavors. The waffle cone is included in the price so make sure to specifically ask for it, I made the mistake of not specifying and it would be 50 cents on the side (probably due to sharing, the single scoop is $5.99 and the triple scoop is $7.99)

I would definitely come back and recommend this place to anyone who wants to eat something whether it be breakfast, brunch, lunch, dinner, or dessert. The quality of the honey toast was unlike anything I have ever had before. It was life-changing and also served beautifully. I can't believe I've gone my whole life without having the honey toast from here. The strawberry milk float was perfect and complimented the meal so well. I actually don't believe that I could ever get better service or better toast from somewhere ever again. Whenever I need to satisfy my toast cravings I will always come here and only come here. I would work here if I could because of how amazing this place is and how friendly everyone was. I hope this place opens up more locations and soon, because it's not possible for this place to be so hidden when it's just that good. Overall I really love this place despite only finding about it recently and having it one time so far, and I just think that this restaurant is doing everything right when it comes to food and quality. Keep it up and I know I will be coming back soon!
