I was really disappointed with my recent order from Pizza My Heart. I ordered the red sauce pesto pizza, and the tomato sauce was much sweeter than I expected. The crust was also very dry, which I don't remember being the case. Years ago, I had Pizza My Heart in Palo Alto, and it was amazing--that experience is the reason I decided to order again. Unfortunately, this pizza was nothing like I remembered. It didn't even look appetizing when it arrived. My daughter and I each ate only one slice from a large pizza, and neither of us wanted any more. That's saying a lot because we usually finish several slices. Based on this experience, I can't recommend this location. If I'm craving pizza, I'd much rather go to San Ramon Pizza instead. read more

The first time I had PMH was back in high school like 20 years ago in San Jose. I totally forgot this place existed. They have pizza by the slice too if you're craving just a slice. Decent size and filling. I opt for a slice of DLex Chicken. Omg so good and tons of bacon. Ingredients are fresh and pizza wasn't super greasy. Nice thin crust and a white sauce base. Very spacious dining area and the employees are nice and friendly. Definitely will be back to try out their other pizzas. read more

"Tasty pizza!" First time visit to this restaurant. We were pleasantly surprised. Previous restaurants have not fared well in this location. But I think this one will make it. The menu is simple--full pieces or pizzas by the slice. My wife ordered a slice of pepperoni, and I got a Maui wowie, which of course is Canadian bacon and pineapple. Bith pizza types were outstanding. Note that they are thin slice, which they heat up for you, which takes just a few minutes. Slices are about $6.50 per slice. I don't think that's a great deal. Another nit: it's noisy in here! On the plus side, the service was quick and professional. Also, the handicap table is easily accessible with wide aisles. Thank you for that. My favorite by the slice pizza joint in Dublin. For the first time, I pick up a t-shirt and it comes with a slice. I really like their more vegetarian pizzas. I ordered two slices, one of them was one with peaches that is quite different. Although enjoyable I preferred the other white sauce vegetarian orient slice. PMH was our favorite pizza place when we are staying in South Bay... It's been over few years since we had it... since we were close to Dublin location we thought of checking it out... we were very excited to try & relish our old memories all over... Upon entering we were greeted & helped by one of the staff members... we loved their recommendations & went with it. We wanted to have it later so took Togo. The reason we love PMH so much is because of their quality, freshness of their pizza & we get to choose different slices. We choose 4 different slices of Pesto, Big Sur, Kaleifornia ( new item) & super veggie. Everything was piping hot from the oven. We waited 5-10 mins for everything to be ready for Togo , ambiance was great, nice pics to go through while waiting & everything was kept clean. We happened to visit one of these branches in a long time. One thing I can attest is that the quality still remains impeccable. Fresh ingredients and great ovens make for a very great pizza. We tried 4 different slices between us 2 veg and 2 meat including one new called Kale-fornia which as just superb. Service was very courteous and they did recommend the ones that were the freshest. I am writing this review because of a bad experience I had yesterday. Something happened that really upset me and made me feel very uncomfortable. I want to make it clear that the food is good. The problem was not the food, but the attitude of one of the employees, which could have even caused an accident. My wife and I were sitting and eating our pizza slices and a salad when suddenly I saw one of the employees throwing chairs forward with force, almost like in anger. This could have hit my wife, broken a window, or caused an accident. I understand that the restaurant was close to closing time, but I was still finishing my food and also waiting for a take-out order that had not been given to me yet. There were also other customers waiting for their food, and some of them decided to leave. I have been to many restaurants, and normally when it is close to closing time, they still allow customers to finish their meals and leave respectfully. Of course, nobody is going to stay for another hour, but at least you are allowed to finish your food. What that employee did was very unprofessional and unsafe. That is not the correct way to handle chairs. Chairs should be lifted and placed on tables carefully, not thrown with anger or frustration, especially when customers are still around. I felt so uncomfortable that I mentioned it to another employee and explained how bad the situation made me feel. I have never experienced something like this in a restaurant before. Again, the food is not the problem. The issue is the attitude of that employee and the risk it created for my wife, myself, and any other customers nearby. I am also a regular customer. I come to this place two or three times a month. I am also a small business owner myself, so I understand what it means to provide good service to customers. That is exactly why it was so disappointing to see something like this. I hope the owners pay attention to situations like this, because this behavior could have caused an accident or hurt someone. As I said before, I'm not upset about the food. The food is good, it's decent. What's sad is that I had to come home to eat my wings, which I ordered extra crispy but they were given to me undercooked. I had to cook them in the air fryer, and my wife and I ended up eating the pizza here at home. It makes me feel sad because after a long day of work, all you want is to go somewhere to have dinner, relax, and enjoy a place you like going to and where you feel comfortable. Unfortunately, tonight was not my night, and nothing like this had ever happened to me before. Usually, most of the employees try to be kind and respectful, except for this one who seemed careless and didn't think about the consequences of what he was doing or the accident he could have caused. I don't think he's stupid or anything like that. It simply seems like he doesn't care about his job. And when someone acts that way, it shows they don't care about the place where they work, because if they did, they would know that behavior like that is not right. That's all. I hope this helps bring attention to the situation. I will also leave some photos to show that there were people who had to go outside to eat. That's not right. I even saw what looked like paramedics who came by, probably hoping to have something to eat, and they had to eat in their car outside. There was also a family that ended up eating in their car. I am long time member of PMH fan club. I would continue to be so. There is an unresolved dispute within our family when we narrow on eating pizza. I lean towards pizza chains because I have a prejudice that pizza chains maintain a consistent minimal quality. A few decades ago I used to prefer mom-and-pop pizza places, not so much these days, because many of them closed down and others are disappering rapidly. I also have another personal theory that the quality of Pizza is sensitive to the maker (and the team making it) rather than the brand behind it. I have numerous experiences to corroborate that! For example, the chain outlet in one place might be able to churn out super tasty pizzas where as anorher location might disappoint you. See I am contradicting myself already, hence I was referring to it as a 'prejudice'! Back to my last night's experience. We ordered two large vegetarian pies with vegan cheese and a regular slice for pick up. With taxes and tips it cost us a whopping $90 ! That is a lot. That is what you would pay for a gourmet pizza in a restaurant. Let me also clarify that pizza making is an art. If you just throw in some toppings on a slab of dough it ain't make pizza. Our online order gave us an ETA of 6.15. We went there at 6.30 and it simply wasn't ready, no explanation given! It was actually made after we showed up. We got ours a good 30 mins later. No ETA given while we waited. It was not particularly a rush hour as I could see When a pizza is made in haste like this, it always tastes subpar, and that is what happened in this case as well. We paid 3$ more for vegan cheese for each pizza. (I am always mystified, actually why a pizza with fewer ingredients universally costs more!) I could hardly see any cheese on my pie (I know, I know, vegan cheese has this characteristic when you heat it, but honestly I expect better cheesiness even with vegan cheese). I want to start by saying that I've always loved Pizza My Heart and have never had a bad experience (at other locations). I've also only ever ordered single slices til last night. We ordered a whole pizza delivery to a hotel that we were staying at for the night. Because we weren't at home, I selected to include red peppers, parmesan, napkins, plates and utensils. I also gave very specific instructions for delivery (the hotel has a food drop off spot by the reception desk). When the food arrived, I got a text from the driver asking where to leave it and to send them my room number. Um, no. So I texted back the exact instructions I had left and they dropped it off. They only brought the pizza, no peppers, no parm, no napkins, no plates, no utensils. Luckily the front desk gal was able to grab us a few napkins to take back to our room. The pizza itself was undercooked and the toppings (specially the onion and bell pepper) were raw. Fortunately, over the years they have expanded along the Peninsula and slowly to the Tri-Valley area with their surfer-themed spots. Dublin is the newest location. I've visited twice so far and didn't disappoint. Variety of familiar pizza combos along with the Award-winning: :: Big Sur - 40 cloves of roasted garlic with sausage, pepperoni, portabella - the caramelized garlic does it for me! :: Figgy Piggy - bacon, feta, black fig and garlic - you get that sweet and savory - yes! They also have monthly specials offered for a limited time which I always make sure to try: :: Doheny Sweet Heat - another savory sweet combo with sausage, pepperoni, ricotta and pickled peppers and hot honey - amazing I love they sell pizza-by-the slice so you can indulge on different ones if you can't decide with ready-made salads available. So I have ordered here before on numerous occasions thru Uber eats. I've also ordered pick up service normally be OK but today it was horrible completely horrible. I waited 25 minutes possibly more for four single sliced pizzas. I was told different times then finally at 7:16 mind you I arrived at 6:48 was told that the pizza makers refuse to make pesto pizza by employee. You can clearly tell that they weren't making it. Guy had a horrible attitude. He had a Oakland Raiders beanie on. I didn't see any other chef but I was told different times and I waited thinking that I was gonna get the pesto pizza. So unfortunately, I had to get a different type of pizza definitely contacting the main manager. So happy to have a Pizza My Heart in Dublin! We finally ordered delivery and we enjoyed our pizzas. We ordered two 18 inch pies-Big Sur and Fort Point. Big Sur was the first slice I had years ago from Pizza My Heart and it was just as good as I remembered! It was full of meats, garlic and mushrooms. Fort Point was pretty good but the crust got a little wet from the artichokes and tomatoes. I also didn't feel the ricotta added much. Delicious and their pizzas freeze well.
