I've never waited more than 10 minutes in line at a MIXT, even on opening day in Walnut Creek. There are always multiple people behind the counter, and the most time consuming part of the experience is that they often can't hear me when I put in my order. This San Ramon location is a bit less fancy than the Walnut Creek one. They had fans running and seemed a bit more rough around the edges, but our food was still just as good. Both salads were delicious and the service was friendly and helpful. All in all, the last few weeks I've really become a bug fan of MIXT and we'll definitely be back to this location.

If you order in person, the staff will usually let you choose from several different salad mixes, which I wish was also an option in the app. The seasonal menu is probably one of my favorite things about Mendo because there's always something new to try. A few summers ago I had a spicy prosciutto and peach sandwich that was honestly out of this world. It's still my favorite sandwich I've had here, and every summer I hope it makes a comeback. I may or may not think about that sandwich more often than I should. The 1/2 sandwich option is also great when I want something smaller since it comes with a side. I just wish there were more salad choices besides the kale and apple rainbow salad. On colder days or when I'm feeling under the weather, the lemon chicken and farro soup is excellent comfort food. And the basil pesto shells are my boyfriend's favorite side, so those almost always end up in the order too. There's a few tables outside, which I prefer when the weather's nice.
