Hands down best Garlic Bread!!! Their pizzas are very tasty too. We have tried to customize our pizzas a few times and every time, it turned out to be good. Service is great too. read more

My family was here on Sunday night. I have to be honest. The food was excellent and the server was not. However, i went to offer feedback to the district manager, she handled the situation with such grace and professionalism, I can't help but leave this establishment a 4 star. This is one of the situations where everything about the experience was absolutely lovely. Accept the server. But again, the management handled it so well that I actually do encourage people to patron this location. The food was so good! I mean, honestly, it's always good, and they're very consistent in terms of quality. They offer a variety of crusts for Pizza. I love that. All of their ingredients are super fresh. I recommend the garlic bread, the zoodle salad and any of their pizzas on that deep dish crust. Or even on the grandma crust. Delicious! Again, I want to say thank you Blue line Pizza for making your customers feel heard and addressing concerns in such a professional and positive way. Cheers! read more

Tipsy pig was horrible....will try another pizza but not worth 4 or 5 stars after that pizza

Blue Line Pizza is a standout small town pizza joint with good food, great service, and a chill vibe that makes it the perfect hangout spot in the evenings. Located in Danville's downtown area, off one of the main roads, this establishment has a good amount of indoor and outdoor seating. On a hot and sunny day (of which there are many in Danville) it'd be nice to sit inside, but the outdoor areas are covered and allow for a nice breeze so even outdoors is desirable. The food is quite good. There is a variety of toppings, styles, and sizes, most pizza lovers will find something here that they absolutely love. My party went with a kale salad to start, and a pepperoni and green peppers medium pizza to end. Both were incredibly delicious. In fact, the kale salad was so good it convinced me that I actually like kale - not a small feat if you know how I feel about vegetables. The service was solid - the host was friendly and seated us quickly even during the lunch rush, the server came by to get our drink orders almost immediately after we sat down, and the food came out piping hot and without much of a wait. You could do much worse with pizza joints in the east bay. read more

First time at this location as I met up with a friend I see once a year, and in a lovely town overall with lots to explore! We ordered a few items like salad and a couple different pizzas. The flavors were all there and the pizza was very well made. Overall the service was also great! Our waitress made sure everything was to our liking and helped us pack our leftovers. Inside, there was also enough natural sunlight for us to take some nice pics. read more

First visit back in years and everything was delicious! Service was friendly and attentive. We ordered salads, wings and a large pizza. I really enjoyed my seasonal spinach and butternut squash salad. It was lightly dressed in champagne vinaigrette and filled with roasted squash, walnuts, dried cranberries Gorgonzola and I added chicken. Wings were flavorful and juicy. Our thin crust pizza was delicious. Half sausage , arugula and hot honey and half pesto chicken. The crust is thin and crispy and holds the generous amount of toppings. Yum! I'll definitely be back. read more

This is an excellent spot for pizza and beer. They are in the Little Star family of restaurants, so you know their pizzas are good. What surprised me was how much I liked all the other items on their menu too. We had a glass of Original Pattern (hazy IPA) beer and it was excellent. Our server was friendly and very knowledgeable. They have 3 types of crust to choose from: thin, deep dish, and grandma style (square pie with crispy edges). What we ordered: + BRUSSELS SPROUTS & HOT HONEY - a great way to start. Served in a small cast iron pan so it stays very hot. + ARUGULA SALAD WITH STRAWBERRY BALSAMIC - this was so good, with chunks of fresh mozzarella and walnuts + BBQ CHICKEN pizza (thin crust) - lots of tangy BBQ sauce with chunks of pineapple and chicken. Really liked this but I thought there was a bit too much BBQ sauce. + HOT HONEY, SAUSAGE, ARUGULA (deep dish) - this was really good. The deep dish crust is not thick, but just shaped like a pan. The dough was like cornmeal and not very airy. It worked really well with this pizza. Overall, they have great pizzas, but also great sides and beers. read more

Service was okay, nothing standout, but not bad. I'll probably sit on the patio next time for a better vibe.Glad I gave this place another go--it's still just as good as I remembered! Blue Line Cauliflower Crust Pizza ($25.50) - I usually don't go for cauliflower crust, but this one totally changed my mind. It was thick, sturdy, and flavorful--held up perfectly under all the toppings. The small size easily feeds 2-3 people, and I've been craving it ever since. Honestly, it felt like eating a healthy vegetable cracker (in the best way). Highly recommend for anyone on a health journey! Wild Mushroom & White Truffle Oil on Grandma Crust ($35.50) - Absolutely delicious. Rich flavor, crispy base, and super satisfying. I'm really glad I branched out from my usual order. The quality is just as good as I remembered from years ago. Definitely coming back--and next time I'm grabbing takeout, too! read more

If you love deep dish pizza, look no further for some of the best I've ever eaten. The crust is what makes is so amazing. It has cornmeal In it so it gives it a yummy crunch. I always order the same thing, the basic cheese deep dish. It's never soggy, always so fresh tasting and I love the big chucks of stewed tomatoes and how it cuts through the richness of the cheese. I've also ordered the deep dish blue line pizza, it's very yummy as well, with spinach, mushroom, onions and garlic. But I prefer simplicity! They have vegan and gluten free options as well so anyone with dietary restrictions can eat here. I am mostly vegetarian and their menu caters well to me. Service is always great , and they have a patio for outdoor seating when the weather is nice. This is a must go for deep dish pizza lovers! read more

My kids ordered bunch of pizzas and side dishes . I was impressed with the mushroom pizza and their side dishes of meatballs . Those meatballs with the rich tomato sauce was super good and would have order that again . The other two combo pizzas were very good also. read more

This was one of our favorites in town. Everything changed last night. Service was slow and inconsistent. The appetizer came at the end. The water jug was not replenished. Even the blinds in the window were not lowered when we asked. Even the quality of the food was not what we had experienced in the past. The waiters were all new. Maybe that was the problem. Maybe even the chef had changed. I mentioned our concerns to the head waiter as we were leaving. All he could say was that he was sorry. It was "water off a duck's back. This is a very comfortable place to eat a quick lunch. Well quick if you order regular pizza. If you order the deep dish pizza it takes 30 minutes to cook. This is what I ordered today. I'm glad I did. It is delicious. The crust is thin but thick and very crispy. I believe it's made with cornmeal possibly. I know it's dusted with it atleast. Then all the toppings are put on and finished with the red pizza sauce with chunky tomatoes in it. It is really really good. I hope you try this pizza if you haven't yet because it'll open a whole new pizza world for you that you didn't know existed. read more

We're treated like family & always a warm welcome & friendly service. They all know our order by heart so it's great when we arrive & order is in the cue . The place is very clean & we love sitting outside when it's nice . We usually are out there every other Friday or Saturday & enjoy our visit every time . read more

Virtually empty on a weekday for lunch. - The regular/small size Italian Combo with the thin crust was fantastic. Wonderfully crunchy crust, not soggy. I'm sure that the meats made this pizza really salty (but in a good way). - The large thick crust Tipsy Pig was good. I think it was made really well (crunchy crust again), but we didn't care for the taste. Maybe it was the crema, but the taste seemed a little confused between sweet and salty. Seemed a bit too sweet, and the pork taste was lost. (However, had leftovers of this pizza the next day, with some BBQ sauce, and it was very good!) Have been to other Blue Line Pizza locations, so know this is a good place. Will try Danville again to try more. Blue Line is one of my favorite local Pizza shops. We recently ended up ordering here for a big party because we learned that it's actually a BETTER price than Round Tables! More pizza for less money? Yes please! Every pizza they have is good and the most important part is that it re-heats really well! 10-15 mins in the oven at 400 degrees. (Pro tip, sprinkle some water on top as well before popping it into the oven) read more

Service is good, place is clean, location is good as well you might need to walk a bit from parking lot... hmmm I was actually just a tad bit disappointed, we ordered the chop large deep dish pizza. The pizza looks amazing for the large size still looks smalls to me, for some reason it looks good but the taste is a bit generic, there's not that wow factor that makes it exciting to comeback, we also tried the spicy wings, the wings are bit bland as well but again looks really good at first glance. Staff is also friendly. Is it worth the drive? Not really. Patxi and zacharies are better read more

Updated review after 7 years! It looks like Blue Line Pizza has survived the pandemic and is still offering up top-notch pizza and apps in a casual outdoor patio in downtown Danville! We recently took our 3yo to dine here once we learned that he enjoys pizza, especially thin crust. Pizza is great for picky eaters since you can nibble at toppings you like or just eat the whole thing, LOL! Two excellent apps are the sliders and the spicy wings. Sliders are 3 per order with kettle chips and could easily be an entree. Wings are meaty, spicy, and just excellent with bleu cheese dip. The kid's pizza is good sized but has a puffier texture in terms of cheesy toppings. Our son took a few bites but I could tell he liked our thin-crust adult specialty better. For specialty pizzas, definitely a fan of their mushroom/truffle oil pizza on thin crust. A small serves 2-3 easily and its packed with cheesy, umami-filled mushrooms of several varieties and textures. Glad to add Blue Line to our pizza restaurant rotation. They have like 5 other locations but those are all in South Bay/Silicon Valley. Glad one landed in Danville which like San Ramon has tons of pizza options. read more

Food was good but service was not good. We had a deep dish pizza, it was heavy and delicious. Deep dish takes a long time to cook and during that time our server didn't check on us once, which was like 30 minutes. She would check on the tables next to us though. I finished my beer and sat there with an empty glass for a long time. I had to flag her down to get another beer. I asked her to turn on the outdoor heater because my wife and my kid were cold, which never happened. They were understaffed with only 2 people working the frontline, on top of it our server was just very inexperienced, slow and not willing to help us. Shame because the pizza was good. read more

The pizza was fabulous! We had two different thin crust (perfect!) kinds: Harvest and Honey Bee. Both had loads of fresh vegetables and were full and tasty. We also had Boysenberry / blood orange drinks and lemon/ grapefruit lemonade. Both tasty and refreshing. The service and ambiance are great as well! read more

Very disappointed. The Caesar salad was a little romaine and croutons with too little to cover mediocre dressing. The pizza was okay but I requested no arugula on the pizza and it on it anyway. I didn't taste any honey or sweetness on the Sausage, Hot Honey, Arugula pizza. It was bland. read more

Our go to for our salads beer and pizza. We love the harvest pizza specials each season. Glad they have hazy IPA always on tap!

We ordered a meatball specialty pizza on a grandma crust. Absolutely delicious! The crust was nice and thick like a homemade pizza baked in a 13x9 baking pan. Pizza was a little pricey, about $40 for a large. They don't have the option of the grandma crust with a small pizza. read more

Prizzas are amazing, but there's no way that their small pizzas are enough for 2-3, nor their large size, enough for (4-, possibly, w/ small appetites) 5, like their DoorDash menu advises. Kinda' screwed up a superbowl gathering based on misleading portion guidance read more

This place is very expensive but just went and ordered a few pizzas for the superbowl. The deep dish pizza was ridiculous, it was definitely NOT DEEP-DISH. I didn't expect Chicago pizza from Chicago but this pizza for over 22 dollars was terrible. I ordered over 147dollars and the pizza was definitely below par. This is very disappointing read more

Blue Line Pizza - Deep dish, not , so disappointed - Pizza Near Me - Danville, California

We were there during happy hour and ordered the wings, meatballs. Both were very yummy, but I'd have to say the meatballs were superior. We ordered the wild mushroom deep dish pizza as our main meal, but in all honesty, we got so full with the appetizers. I will definitely go again and have the meatballs as my meal with a big glass of wine. We sat outside and it was slightly uncomfortable because it was a warm day. I don't know that we could've utilize the shade because of the position of the sun. Next time we'll just be more mindful. Great location, but parking can be a bit tricky. Our server was a very pleasant young lady. read more

I'll start by saying I don't like giving less than good reviews, especially when times have been tough, but I call it like I see it. We've been going here once in a while since they opened, and used to be a favorite. Recent visit was a bit disappointing. There's now an ordering system where you scan a code on the table, order on an app where you have to give your phone number (who knows where that gets sold?). Then a server/runner brings items to table. It used to be the traditional server model where you interacted with a human who looked after your table and checked in often. Now you pay with app/ scanning a code. Maybe some like that. This new system, for me, very much feels cheapened and impersonal, and gives less attention from servers if you need something I usually get honey with my pizza. In the past at Blue Line, they'd bring a bottle of honey. Now they bring tiny individual plastic containers with a lid. Again- cheapens the experience and kind of nasty for the environment. Same with sides of ranch. Maybe things have been tough, but I go out a lot and this is not common at most places. It just feels like cost cutting has harmed the experience here. I hope things improve because this used to be a favorite pizza place. The deep dish pizzas have been my favorite over almost all other places, but this time there was less flavor and over cooked crust. The flatbread pizza was also nothing special. Beer was nice and cold Not sure I'll be back, as the price/experience ratio is off. read more

I hate to even do this because I was so excited to try blue Line Pizza so I'm writing this review only based off my experience with THIS location. We arrived on a Saturday around 300 for a party of 12 for my sons 33rd birthday with his family we sat the manager lady came over awhile later to take our order we were seated inside so not hard to miss us. We ordered a few pizzas appetizers drinks etc. awhile later we received a couple of the pizzas appetizers drinks. We're waiting and waiting for the rest of our food we know that one of the pizzas we are waiting for is a half and half pizza so we figured ok a little longer about 40 minutes after receiving we wondered ok why haven't they asked us about our drinks and where is our missing pizza which happened to be the birthday boys pizza. Birthday went up to the counter asked about the missing pizza they said we had our entire order we said no we are still missing a pizza and no one has even asked if we wanted more drinks etc. they had taken our water crafts about 30 minutes earlier said they would come Back with more water but never did. The crew working at the counter was not sure what was happening with our order. So manager lady looked at the receipt said she put the order in but the pizza was never made and she does not know why. My son said well why didn't anyone check on us refill our water crafts which she took 30 minutes ago if they had them they would have known we were missing our pizza. Last manager never apologized never tried to make it right she just came ups other a bunch of excuses as to why the pizza was never made. Too many phone orders where coming in she was too busy still never apologized. I really wanted to love this place it's close to our new home but that won't be happening. Lady manager finally came over still had attitude never apologized she still said she was to busy to much going on. Literally there are only 3-4 other small parties sitting outside we are the only party inside and you are to busy to notice that you took our water crafts never refilled them unless you brought them to a table outside. Never noticed that our pizza trays were empty waiting for the pizzas to arrive. After she just came to our table started grabbing plates etc from the table took the one water craft we still had and said she would refill it NEVER did again. I'm sorry but lady manager (corporate is aware of the person I am referring to) should not be working in this business especially as a manager. She ruined our birthday family dinner lucky we know we can go across the bay to another Blue Line Pizza place for some real service. Lady manager never apologized she is lucky she has some other great staff who were working at the time to take care of the other customers inside since manager lady is worried about answering the phone Hope others have a better experience than we did for our first time here My family has eaten at other blue lines and assured me they never experienced this type of poor service at any of the others. I hope corporate looks into their management at this location . Update: the sent an email to the email address on their website I was contacted by someone representing Blue Line Pizza whine agreed with lady managers behavior explaining it has circumstances beyond anyone's control. So be prepared to be treated poorly unless you are lucky to encounter other staff who were working tirelessly to correct the managers mistakes and behavior read more

Their pizza is excellent. They have convient parking for pickup. The staff is helpful.

I recently tried Blue Line Pizza in Danville with friends. They had recommended the restaurant. I tried their thin crust Hot Honey Sausage Arugula pizza and a thin crust plain cheese pizza. Love this place. Ordered the Italian Combo thin crust small pizza. My only disappointment... they used black olives instead of Kalamata.

A relative recommended Blue Line Pizza bc I like a cornmeal crust. While there wasn't a very distinct cornmeal texture. Because we wanted a large pizza, only thin crust is available, but I'll have to try their Little Star Deep Dish next time around. The ingredients of the Mediterranean pizza were fresh. Pieces of chicken, artichoke, slices of olives, red bell pepper made this marinara based pizza a colorful work of art. The Free Bird pizza definitely had more flavor with the quality cut bacon scattered along with chicken, red onion & 2 cheeses( gorgonzola & mozzarella) & a few sparing pieces of spinach. For more flavor I would reorder the Free Bird & try their Deep Dish pizza's. read more

Very friendly staff and amazing food as usual! Store was clean and welcoming and I'll definitely be back!

This place makes a pizza that is pretty darn close to the authentic deep dish pizzas that you get in Chicago. If you go with a group, you can try a lot of pizzas and the price is very reasonable. In general, their pizza quality is great and you will not be disappointed. They have big tables for groups too- just get here early (5 PM) to avoid the rush and you will get good service and the food will come out timely. They have a small parking lot in the back and there is also street parking- this part of downtown isn't as difficult to find street parking. read more
