I was desperately searching for a beef pepperoni pizza spot because the one I usually go to was closed and I came across this gem! I was so excited to find out that they had beef pepperoni. It was a night for pizza since cooking or using the bbq was a no go due to the rainy weather. Appreciated the amount of meat and also the fluffy nature of the dough. I happen to be in the area for a medical appointment and wanted a place nearby to watch the NBA playoffs. Yelp led me here. Before heading there, I checked the yelp pic menus, and I thought they looked really familiar. Maybe it's like a sports bar template menu used by some sign makers. I stepped in and took a seat. Someone from behind the counter came out to greet me. I didn't recognize him at first, until he introduced himself. It was VJ from VJ's Sports Bar X Pizza in Alameda! He came up to me because he recognized me as one of the regulars at VJ's. Then it all made sense. That menu was the same as the one in Alameda. This was really VJ's east. Danville Kitchens must be the newer establishment though. The interior was more polished, slightly more modern. All the big screens were shiny and clear. It is smaller than VJ's I must say and also, in contrast, more a pizza parlor vibe than a sports bar one (maybe by design). I had the Garlic Parmesan Twists and the Chicken Bacon Ranch Sandwich. But they weren't the same as VJ's...They were actually better! The twist were better baked and more fluffy on the inside. The sando roll was toasted more delicately, and its ingredients seemed more fresh and flavorful. And just eyeballing the pizzas when they came out, they looked better crafted. The guy other than VJ working the counter was also friendlier than the ones at the Alameda locale and more engaging. People from all ages came in for a seat, quite comfortable and happy. The only thing I didn't like? Danville Kitchens' outstanding quality hasn't yet rubbed off on VJ's. read more

I love chicken wings, and these were cooked very well. The sauce wasn't dripping as it had been cooked in for a few minutes. The buffalo sauce had good flavor but lacked depth in spice. The ranch was good- home made? The pizza had good potential and the dough was cooked *PERFECTLY*, but lacked flavor in the sauce and cheese. The vibe was odd- kind of gave empty sports bar vibes, but the beers we ordered were flat so I wouldn't return for a sports bar night. I would return for the wings, but not the za. Maybe six flatscreen TVs, a dining area, and counter. They specialize in burgers, pizzas, and wings, but it's not really fast food. They seem to have a busy takeout business. Eating in had some hiccups since it took maybe 10-15 minutes to order food. Maybe they are still in soft open phase. The food itself was solid. Individual Garlicky Chicken Pizza was excellent - light, puffy yet crispy crust and perfect balance of cheese, light sauce and chicken. (5 stars). The cheeseburger and bacon chicken ranch sandwich were also both solids. You can request mushrooms on your burger too. Although they forgot, they took the extra step and sautéed a batch for us to enjoy ala carte. Definitely worth visiting again for that awesome pizza. read more

Danville kitchens is designed as a meeting place. It could almost be called a sports bar (see picture). There are six large screen televisions. The garden salad was better than most pizza places. We had our standard mushroom, olive, sausage add fresh tomato at the end pizza. The owner prides himself on the fact they make the sausage on premises. I believe they also make the pizza red sauce and dough. The chef gave ample amount of ingredients unlike many places that just do the bare minimum. We ordered thin crust pizza which was a tad thicker than expected but the flavors were excellent. As you can see from the picture you could have a nice group game party here. The owner is a pleasure to talk with and visited customers eating to ensure all was good. This is a family-run minority-owned establishment The owner works hard to develop a quality product. While we were eating, several to-go customers came by to pick up their dinner. Advertising is mostly word-of-mouth. We strongly recommend you give them a try. My new favorite pizza place! Finally a pizza that speaks to my heart. Ordered 2 pizzas wishing 3 days...cuz it was that good! I've only had the pepperoni and it was cooked just right. Wanted to try something new and decided to give Danville kitchens a try. We ordered tortellini and meatballs with pesto sauce. It was very good. The meatballs were cut up, but I'm assuming that that was because we ordered through DoorDash and it had to fit in the little box. The Caesar salad was also very good and fresh. But, the pizza... Wow. We ordered a medium sausage and mushroom and this thing has some serious weight to it. They don't skimp on the toppings. It's not a deep dish, but the crust is thick and crispy, not saggy and droopy like some. There was the perfect amount of cheese and sauce. And the sausage is really good. My husband and I stopped in after 9 pm on a Thursday night after a late soccer game to try it out and wow were you pleasantly surprised! Firstly, it's adorable! Decorated so nicely. Sports bar theme but not dingy dirty sports bar theme. Like a safe place you'd bring your kids for pizza and wings but also stay for a beer and watch the game. They don't have their beer and wine license yet so we couldn't get a drink but we ordered the garden salad, boneless chicken wings and a gluten free halal combo. Let's talk about the gluten free!! My husband always has to sacrifice and eat a gluten free pizza so that we can share but even he said that this was really good. The best gluten free pizza I have had! On top of it they have multiple sizes in gluten free. It's never like that. Like there are small, medium, large, xl in regular and then you get one size option for GF. Not here! We had many options and it was sooo good!! The garden salad wasn't your typical pizza parlor iceberg lettuce in a bowl with grated carrots. It's was good! I really enjoyed it. My husband has the boneless wings and loved them. I'm sure he can't wait to try the non gluten free pizza as well. But if the gluten free pizza is any indication, it will be awesome! Service was great! There was only one person in, since it was late. And he was a one man show or cashier, cook, and greater. He was wonderful and prepared everything so quickly. Went to a friends house last night and they were serving pizza. Normally I don't eat pizza anymore because of high blood pressure issues. But my buddy said it was gluten-free and I had had never tried a gluten-free pizza. Unfortunately we were late so the pizza was cold. At first I tried a cold slice and it was pretty good for being cold. Then he heated up a few pieces in the air fryer. What a fantastic pizza. Nice and thin and a crispy crust. It was even a bit crispy when it was cold. To me you can tell good quality ingredients are used. My stomach didn't act crazy after eating the pizza and no chest sensations from eating something that can cause me issues. Fantastic!!! Today was the first time trying Danville Kitchens, (I live a block away!) my daughter and grandson were doing some work around my home and order DoorDash. They both ordered the burger, it was huge, juicy and all the trimmings, it was restaurant quality not fast food, potato wedges, soooo good! She also ordered the BBQ chicken wings, plump and perfectly cooked. I opted for the rigatoni with sausage sauce. So flavorful and the pasta was cooked to my liking. Highly recommend going there.
