Chicken Capricciosa
Hum G.

I stumbled upon this place by accident and I'm glad I gave it a try. I got the chicken capricciosa and it had really good flavor, definitely enjoyed the toppings and overall taste. That said, the pizza was a little underdone in the center, which took away from it a bit for me. Not sure if I would come back, but I'm glad I tried it once.

not the greatest pic, especially with the missing slices and shadow. but the pizza was so gooood...

Me and my Nana were so excited to try their pasta. We ordered for pick up... * Caesar salad: 2/5 Romaine Heart Lettuce, Rosemary Focaccia Crouton's, Shredded Parmesan Cheese with Caesar Dressing. The first time I ordered this salad, it was so good. This time around, it didn't taste as fresh. It tasted like bagged lettuce. And what was supposed to be rosemary foccacia croutons definitely tasted like a store bought bag of croutons. I was very disappointed cause if you advertise rosemary foccacia croutons, that's what you should serve your customers. * Garlic knots: 2/5 6 pieces with side marinara. Garlic knots are always a gamble. When it's done right, it's so delicious. But 70% out of 100%, it is often burned and dry. * Linguni Carbonara: 2/5 with white creamy sauce. The taste was there. But the pasta didn't taste fresh. It was soggy and overdone. I like my pasta al dente and this was far from it. * Baked Ziti: My Nana was not very happy with his baked ziti. He said the pasta was overdone. Too soft. And he said he would not get it again. Overall, I like supporting Romana Pizzeria. He makes good east coast pizza. But the food is inconsistent. I would never get their pasta again. But i'd still support them for their pizza. Tip: It is better to call in your order, if you have special requests. They will accomadate with a phone order. If you order online, they will most likely fail to honor your request. All of my online orders have been big fails!

Average. We weren't impressed. We were a little disappointed. The salad we originally ordered, we were told AFTER we ordered it that they didn't have enough ingredients for it. Both the squash AND beets salad were not available. You would think they would know ahead of time after they just opened what they were out of. Ambiance was odd. It's clean, but it's an Italian pizzeria blasting country music. Pizza was hard, more like stale. It lacked any real flavor. Our third choice for a salad was soggy. We did ask for hot water and they even got that order wrong. We were the only ones there, so it's a bit unsettling that they would get everything else wrong. Unfortunately, we're not coming back. They made the experience very unsatisfactory.

Cheese pizza (for the kids) - 2 stars. Sat DoorDash delivery 2024-11-16

We got DoorDash delivery pizza from Romana and were pretty disappointed. They were over 30 minutes late from the original estimate (we made the order before they opened for dinner). Plus, we got an incorrect pizza. When we contacted Doordash, we got about $10 off a $170 order. The cost ended up being about $160 total for 3 pizzas and a salad.

I was kind of shocked it wasn't as busy from 4-6pm on a Wednesday. No one else dined in, and maybe a few take out orders. The menu had a large variety of pizzas and pastas. We had the mushroom pizza and it was soooo cheesy and flavorful. Hot honey on the side for the table. Bread was good. I also had the carbonara. It was ok, but a tad bit bland. Service was nice and pleasant. I went with a friend and they seem to understand to just let us be, but checked-in occasionally.

Everything was amazing! Pizza was great. Very low prices as well. The service was also very good with a very friendly man named ray working there. 10/10 would recommend

PREMIUM, QUALITY INGREDIENTS!! ORGANIC SAUCES and ORGANIC CHEESES!!! We walked into the restaurant for the first time as a family today. We love the decor and how clean it is. We arrived early so it wasn't very busy yet. This lull was good for us to ask a lot of questions to the owner, Ray. He helped us to choose the right dishes for our family. We ordered a Caesar salad and a half margarita and half lasagna pizza. The kids REALLY loved the Cesar salad which I thought was funny because we eat Caesar salad a few times a month. For the pizzas, margarita was the family favorite, but my favorite was the lasagna pizza. I loved the slices of ground beef that were super thin and flavorful. They bake the meatloaf first, and then slice it thinly for the lasagna pizza. Yum!! After our meal, the owner spoke to us and told us how the sauces and cheeses were organic and very light so that you won't walk away with a heavy feeling - you will filled satiated and ready for the rest of your day. We are excited to try the pastas next time!!

I came around 8pm ish on a Saturday. First the positives, the staff was very friendly and my order was ready when I got there. I was able to eat my food I ordered online at the restaurant, they plated it for me and everything. The restaurant is very nice inside and has a lot of seating outside, a really nice place. I ordered a slice of their artisan and pizza and when I got there it definitely looked like the slices have been sitting there for a few hours. It's your typical pizza place where they reheat it in the oven but I don't think there was saving this slice. It just did not taste good at all. The chicken Caesar was a generous amount but I found the chicken to be dry and overcooked and the croutons were soft and no crunch. It didn't feel like the pizza was made with love. I'm not sure if I'll be going back, I did see they have pastas so maybe but not sure yet. Maybe I came on a bad evening.

Cute new pizza spot in downtown Danville. Everything looks brand new from top to bottom. Ambiance: I love the wood paneling on the side wall and ceiling. There's a long marble table in the middle of the restaurant, high bar seating by the window, and small tables with outlets on the wall which was super convenient because I was able to work/charge my laptop while eating. There's also a front patio with outdoor seating and string lights. Overall, the decor was cute and well thought out. Service: Friendly and fast. You order and pay first, then they bring the food out to you. There's a self serve water station. Food: Good variety of salads, pizzas, and pasta. I ordered a few slices of pizza and their chicken Cesar salad. Everything was great. (They also do catering orders). Parking: Street parking (2 hour parking) Overall, I'd definitely recommend this spot. Nice place to hang out and get work done as well.

This is a beautiful pepperoni pizza might be my favorite

Good customer service and nice ambiance. There are outdoor seating as well as indoor dining areas. I love the cozy atmosphere and the menu has small plates, side orders , lunches , dinners and a brunch special menu . Three of us order a pot of tea with loose leaves for $6 . One cup is $4 . We have order 2 egg Benedict ( with ham or smoked salmon ) . The eggs are porched perfectly.hollandaise sauce tastes great . It is a pleasant surprise that it comes with quinoa bun and watercress. I enjoy the low carb option and it does not turn mushy like the English Muffin . We have tried the Seabass - scallops Chupin with mussels, giant scallops , chick peas , clams , mussels , tomato , funnel and grilled bread . The sauce is delicious and all the seafood are fresh and cook to just right . Super nice seafood dish ! One friend orders the chicken & waffles with syrup . The waffle is crispy but the chicken is a bit dry . It is marinated to very tasty though. Love this restaurant! Like a little gem in the neighborhood.

The ambiance is romantic and vibey, and I loved all the little details, you can tell they put so much thought into the space. The pork shoulder and belly bowl was my favorite bite! The pork was succulent and fresh, and beautifully balanced with the most delicious wild rice I've ever had. I cannot rave enough about this dish! We also tried the chicken and waffles, which is perfectly crunchy, not too sweet, and piled high! The drinks were so creative and refreshing, I actually think I shed a tear. This place is absolutely perfect with no flaws. They also have a great outdoor space, and room upstairs to accommodate private events. I love Aracely and send anyone who will listen here!

I did not even think to alert my friends about what I read because I thought after reading other Yelp reviews and looking up their Instagram posts with beautiful photos and people looking like they were enjoying this restaurant, that what was described in that 1-star review must have been a rare occurrence. Boy was I wrong because to my dismay when we arrived at their restaurant door last evening, it happened to us and I did not want to believe it, but all the evidence was there to show they were in fact, CLOSED. Two other customers and our group arrived at the same time in advance of our 6pm reservation time, only to see their door closed, lights off, with nobody inside. We were confused not only because we did not receive a message notifying us that their restaurant would be closed and our reservation needed to be canceled, but also because the customers who arrived when we did said they had booked their reservation yesterday, meaning the reservation system was still active. What's more is we did not see any signage on their door or windows about being closed, but instead we saw an EBMUD notice on the door stating water service payment was overdue, which we were not expecting to see upon our arrival. Our group needed to quickly figure out a plan B for our birthday celebration dinner, as our friend had planned and reserved The Library Social Club over a month ago. I dine at many restaurants and any time there needs to be a change or cancelation for any reason by a restaurant business, I have received an e-mail, a text, or a phone call alert, as a customer courtesy call, and I have at the very least, even seen hand written notes on restaurant doors and windows as signage alerting customers of their business being closed. Needless to say, we were disappointed and frustrated by this incident today. We drove from out of town to try this restaurant that was not even open when customers had reservations. Fortunately, our friend proposed a different restaurant that we could walk to and they sat us promptly upon arrival. We enjoyed their delicious food instead!

The place was super lively and honestly pretty packed during my visit on a week night. The lounge itself is on the smaller side, but cozy. I like the concept, there are wire racks on the wall and each table has a little wooden game board on top (mine was Chinese checkers), such a cute touch and makes the place feel a bit more interactive. Their signature cocktail menu has a lot of options, but since it was our first time, we asked the bartender for a recommendation. He suggested "Meet Me In Pearis" since we wanted something vodka-based. The drink took about 10-15 minutes to come out, which felt a bit long, but it looked like he was the only one working, serving two big parties plus a few tables, so I get it. Service overall was still good and he was nice the whole time. For the drink... honestly, it didn't really wow me. Both the flavor and presentation were pretty underwhelming. It kind of tasted like a glass of sangria to me. I guess with "Artisanal" in the name, I was expecting something a little more unique or elevated. Overall, great location, nice vibes, and I like the interior concept. Service was solid too. Just wish the drink matched the same level. Probably wouldn't come back, but glad I got to check it off my list.

The entire collection of wine was exposed to heat and ruined but they are still selling it to unknowing customers. Many of the wines that I inspected had corks bulging out past the foil and were discolored. The Syrah I picked and thought was safe looked good but under the foil, the cork was bad and yes the wine was rancid. I wish that was just a side story but the glass of wine I purchased was also foul. It was the most expensive Napa Cab they serve. I asked a few times how long the bottle was open and he did not know but guessed maybe a night or two before. This tells me a few things; they are not keeping wine fresh or pumping out the air or using a Coravin system for example. They are not writing the date opened even. Also in my personal opinion, the wines here are the lower tier to keep pricing down and profits high. It just makes the experience low for the customer. Lastly I did have a cheese plate and it was also terrible. The staff have no knowledge of wine. So it just ends up being a happy hour place for people to drink cheap wine. I'm sorry for the former failed business and appreciate trying to take it over but the business model is not working. It's not worthy of business woman of the year unfortunately. Lesson learned: Californians know wine!
