I took a bite and went, "wow". Let's just say I was impressed by this place. I brought some friends from out of town here on a Monday night. There were plenty of seats and the wait for the pizza wasn't noticeably long. Being the typical nice summer/autumn Pleasanton weather it was, we sat outside and got to admire the outside art. We ordered one of the pesto pizzas and a red sauce (I'm sorry I can't remember the name). Either way, the cheese was perfect. You know when you pull the slice away from the main circle and it's holding on like a clingy ex? It's like that but simply stretches and doesn't take the rest of the toppings along with a piece of your innocence with it. Horrible service, long wait and sloppy looking flavorless pizza. Went on Friday evening and our group ordered 2 pizzas. Just 2 pizzas and 30minutes went by and our waitress was nowhere to be found and we had empty glasses and no food. Noticed people who arrived after us already had appetizers and food. Went inside to try to find someone to help us get refills or find out the ETA on our food and stood around and could not find anyone. After standing around for 5 minutes or so, we finally saw a guy come by us BUT he ignored us so we had to call out and get his attention. We told him we had not seen our server & have been out of drinks and our food still had not arrived. He was very dismissive, non-apologetic and told us to go back to our table and sit down he would find our server. We should have just asked for a refund at this point. When he finally found the server all he said to us was he "brought her back to Earth". No apologies about the wait or lack of service from either employee. When this gives finally brings out the pizzas, they were not even appealing to the eye and a few bites in; they were just flat out gross. We left so much pizza behind and that never happens. I mean you could go get a frozen pizza at a 7-Eleven freezer that tasted better. We noticed others around us didn't finish their food either... a sign the food is not good in general. We paid, bolted out of there and decided to walk over to Meadowlark for some ice-cream instead. Don't waste your time or money at this pizzeria. read more

We've been coming to this restaurant many times over the years although it has probably been about 5 years since our last visit. We had a fantastic server today who really took good care of us. Her name was Julie. She was great. Our pizza was a medium 1/2 Veggie and 1/2 Hawaiian. The crust was cooked to perfection but we thought overall the pizza was lacking real flavor. Maybe our taste has changed over the years since we have are big fans of Tony's in SF (or his newer Slice House Establishments) or Gold Dust Pizza in Ripon. I still think this place is a nice restaurant if you are looking for a well made pizza and you're in the Downtown Pleasanton area. We will go back if we are in the area and want pizza. read more

Date with the Mr. after a drs appointment. We wanted patxi but they're now closed. This was what I really wanted. Started with the cheese curds, crispy on the outside, melted gooey cheese on the inside, comes with ranch and marinara sauce. Button mushrooms cooked in butter, wine and garlic. The wine was a bit heavy but still very enjoyable. The PIZZA!!! My fave part of the meal. I'm a combo kind of girl, so I gotta have everything on my pizza. Every piece of meat and veggie stood alone in flavor. It didn't feel like mush. I was able to taste the sausage seasonings while getting the crunch of the bell peppers. Best pizza ever! My family and I have been coming here since they opened many years ago. This is a p-town classic. Our server Kevin , & all the staff were super friendly and accommodating. Their sourdough crust is next level delicious. Nothing like a fun night chillin on the outdoor patio. (Indoors is awesome as well. Dark and old school classic vibe. Can't beat it. The pizza took an unusually long time to arrive, and the pricing felt steep for the quality provided. Hot chocolate was so-so. I only ordered just to have something during this waiting period. Even after requesting a thin crust pizza, I was served a regular crust pizza. The cheesy garlic bread sticks were just stale bread topped with a layer of mozzarella cheese sprinkled with garlic powder. I'm thinking if this is even a crime for letting this slide?! Even after second chances, my expectations were still not met despite trying Wayne's World and Frank's Special. Their pizza was a bit undercooked and too crust heavy for me. We ordered the Conner's special without garlic, on thin crust, and a side of ranch, for dinner this past Sunday. The restaurant was quirky and had a lot of character, as well as plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. However, we ordered for takeout, and the wait for our pizza was 30 minutes. Staff was patient and prompt in helping us. The pizza was really tasty, the pesto sauce was just a thin layer, but there was ample cheese and toppings, and all of the ingredients added so much flavor, those jalapenos were especially spicy. Went well with the cool ranch I got on the side, I'm a fan of the ranch sauce they serve here (it's definitely not hidden valley, thank goodness). I'm glad we got thin crust cuz that was already a lot of carbs for me, and it tasted good as well, even if on the plain side. read more

It was really good, my family and I ordered some wings and a pizza. The wings came out perfect they were so crispy and the sauce was nicely distributed. The buffalo sauce was tangy and but not spicy make it compliment the chicken. Now for the pizza, when you get your pizza you should know that your cheese will be extremely melted and that's not a bad thing. Somethings that I loved was how thick the pepperoni slices were and how there tomato sauce is so good a tier ran down my left led.... Their service is good the waitress was really nice and not scared to check up on us. I also appreciate how fast the food comes out, you order and the next thing you know you have a pizza fresh out the what ever they cook it in. A Recipe for Invisibility: The Gay 90s Experience We arrived walked passed the crowded patio, me and my family--looking forward to dinner at a spot I'd been to before with other company, where I'd always been greeted warmly, seated right away, and treated with ease. But this time was different. We stood at the entrance with no greeting. No acknowledgment. As we waited, guests who came in after us were promptly welcomed and shown to their tables outside on the patio without hesitation. We watched it happen in real time. Eventually, someone motioned for us to sit ourselves. And once we did, we waited another fifteen minutes without a single word. No menus. No water. Not even a glance from the staff. The dining room was nearly empty, just one other table occupied, yet somehow--somehow--we were invisible. I watched as a younger server spoke to a blonde woman across the room. She subtly leaned around the corner, eyes finding our table, then disappeared. Neither returned. Instead, they floated out to the patio, where the crowd looked a little more... familiar to them. By the 20-minute mark, I had seen enough. I asked my family if they were picking up the same thing I was. They all nodded. So we left. And only then, as we reached the door, did the bartender who hadn't so much as glanced at us suddenly perk up: "Have a good day, you guys!" Right. That part still worked, apparently. We ended up grabbing dinner elsewhere, where the welcome was instant and the food was secondary to being seen. That night, Gay 90s served us nothing but a slow, bitter reminder: Some tables get service. Others get studied glances and delayed smiles. My siblings and I came here our monthly Sibling Date. My brothers girlfriend and her siblings came along as well (making us a group of 9 altogether). We came in and was able to seat ourselves. We ordered 3 pizzas the one I had was the Franks pizza (pizza is like your ordinary pizza, I wish I would've ordered the thin crust though). We ask order the Buffalo wings and Green Gas Wings. The name Green Gas was a bit interesting so we decided to give it a go. Not too spicy if you like spice but overall okay flavor. We preferred the buffalo wings over the Green gas wings. We also tried the cheese garlic curds. Very good flavor, just wish the temperature was a little hotter. My sister got the spaghetti and said it wasn't anything special and I tried the garlic bread it came with. The texture of the garlic on the bread didn't really sit right with me (not sure how to explain it). Other than that the cheese pull on all the pizzas was awesome.
