It's 9pm in downtown and the place is empty There's sign on the wall that reads welcome to New York Pizza of Pleasanton Taste the tradition Adorned with posters from broadway shows and various NY sports teams it's unapologetic in its ode to every hole in the wall pizzeria in the Big Apple I have to admit I like this place It's dimly lit but some how the off white paint makes it feel bright and oddly welcoming Even the buzzing from the Florescent lamps overhead and the two owners speaking Farsi add to it's charm This place is a kind of middle finger to the gentrification going up and down Main St. with its hipster gastropubs and fine dining establishments a place like is as about as rare as an ice cream parlor or an A&W nowadays A few people have started straggling in just as finish my last bite of a $8 NY giant slice No doubt they must've needed something greasy after the wine and charcuterie boards didn't hit the spot The first of many I'm sure and my queue to leave If the Thai place down the street can be authentic then this place is too.

This is a staple for Pleasanton residence, a long standing pizza establishment that has an array of pizza toppings. The restaurant is located on the corner of Main Street and Spring Street in downtown Pleasanton. There's spacious seating, pizza by the slice, various sized pizzas, canned and bottled drinks, and ice cream. I ordered a two topping (artichokes, and Kalamata olives) pizza slice for $8.99. The crust crispy, but the addition of the Kalamata olives made the pizza a bit too salty, otherwise the pizza was tasty. I hadn't been to NY pizza in a while and it was a nice treat. The owner is friendly and business still going strong.

This is the best in town. By far. Reasonably priced. They load it with lots of meat n vegetables. The crust is crunchy, but not tough. Everything tastes fresh. You can order slices to go or a whole pizza. The service is good. Very friendly. The ambience is very chill. You can eat outside or indoors. I will definitely be back love this place.

So this is just for the absurd price gouging. Went yesterday, my niece came for her bday dinner. I had never ordered the pizza. But everything else I've gotten has been amazing. So we ordered a large pizza with split toppings. Pizza was mediocre, honestly round table is better. My issue was with the cost. The pizza was 28.99 then $3 for every additional topping. So it doesn't say CHEESE PIZZA 28.99 PLUS $3 PER TOPPING. I paid $55.10 for a BASIC LARGE PIZZA!!! R U KIDDING ME. THEN THE TIP COMES UP I DID THE FIRST 10.25% TIP $6.60! I was soo pissed! Unfortunately I will never be back. Sucks cz i really liked their food! But there's no way I'll ever be financially fisted for a pizza!

Perfect spot to grab a slice of pizza when walking around downtown Pleasanton! I love how they sliced the pizza in half so it was easier to share and eat. I love me a good crunchy under carriage.

Just celebrated my son's first birthday at New York Pizza and we had a blast! These people are the most accommodating and friendly guys- they let us decorate the space, made sure we had everything we needed, and helped us to have a great party. They were attentive but not hovering and even worked to have our food ready at the exact time we asked. We ordered Caesar salad appetizers and five pizzas- a cheese, pepperoni, meat lovers, veggie, and even a gluten free chicken and bacon. They were all delicious! There were very few leftovers but what we did have we all fought over to take home. We had the best experience with New York Pizza and highly recommend them for a slice as you're walking down Main Street or a birthday party like we had.

I went on a Tuesday so it wasn't crowded. Bonus points that the bathroom is decent. Minus points for the unmanaged fly situation. Tough to eat and keep them off your food at the same time. Some tables contained leftover candy and mess from previous patrons despite not being busy. I got the salmon sandwich special. Good sized sandwich and tasty without being fishy. They forgot the garlic on my garlic fries and added it but it tasted more like pickled mild garlic. I wasn't expecting that. They were okay fries. Notes from friends I was with: Both hamburgers and cheeseburgers come with cheese so beware lactose intolerant people. The pizza sizes jump in prize but not much in size. I would come back and get a salmon sandwich to go sans fries.

New York Pizza in downtown Pleasanton has been in business since I've lived in Pleasanton (20+ years). They survived the covid era when so many restaurants were closed. The owners are still the same crew too. My go to pizza is a pepperoni and cheese. They make it to perfection every time. Side salad hits the spot too.

We started our meal with appetizers--Mama Carmela's Meatballs were three oversized meatballs in tomato sauce, topped with Parmesan and crostini (garlic toast); the Fritto Misto was a plate of lightly breaded Monterey calamari, tiger prawns, zucchini, and artichokes, served with a side of creamy capri sauce for dipping; and the Octopus All'insalata was a salad of lightly dressed arugula, olives, cherry tomatoes, and fennel, topped with tender pieces of octopus tentacle. The appetizers were decent, but the real highlight of this restaurant was their freshly-baked pizzas. The Amalfi was a light, summery combination of yellow San Marzano tomato sauce, fiori di latte, burrata, pesto, and red Sicilian Datterino tomatoes; and the Norcina was an aromatic, umami combination of truffle crema, fiori di latte, Italian sausage, and mushrooms. Both were absolutely delicious, and the best part was the authentic Neapolitan pizza crust--thin, light, and chewy all at the same time! Overall, this was a fantastic dining destination with quick, friendly service and a beautiful atmosphere too.

When making the reservation, I specifically noted that this was a birthday celebration and selected covered outdoor patio seating through the reservation system. When we arrived on time, we were told there were no tables available in the area your reservation platform had offered us. To make matters worse, after a staff member asked us which available table we preferred, we pointed one out, only for another waiter to immediately give that exact table away to a smaller party while we stood there as a party of six. That set the tone for the evening. Service throughout the night lacked professionalism and hospitality. One male waiter, approximately in his 40s with slicked-back hair, was consistently rude, dismissive, sharp in tone, and visibly uninterested in helping our table. His behavior affected our entire party and made us feel unwelcome. Management should seriously address his service etiquette and overall conduct toward guests. The most disappointing part was the complete lack of acknowledgment of my wife's birthday. Throughout dinner, we watched several other tables celebrating birthdays receive desserts and recognition from staff, while our table received absolutely nothing despite the restaurant being informed ahead of time. At the end of dinner, we were simply handed the bill with no acknowledgment whatsoever. My wife even turned to me and asked, 'What about my birthday?' and honestly I had no answer for her. The evening felt careless, disorganized, and poorly managed. We did not receive the seating we reserved, experienced rude service, and the special occasion we communicated in advance was completely ignored. Overall, it was a poor dining experience and not somewhere I would currently recommend."

The special, chicken thighs stuffed with smoked ham, was standout and memorable. The margarita pizza is exactly what you want it to be. It is simple, well executed, and perfect for sharing. Do not let the "small" size fool you. It is easily enough for two, maybe even three if you are catching up over drinks. Portions across the board are generous. The fish entrees are especially impressive. The salmon alone felt like it had to be close to half a pound. All of this comes at prices that feel more than fair for the quality and quantity you are getting. This is definitely a spot worth returning to. The staff was incredibly efficient and friendly, and our waiter Kevin was absolutely fantastic and gracious throughout the evening. Appetizers: We started with the Golden Beet Salad (with goat cheese, toasted almonds, and honey balsamic dressing) and the Crispy Sweet Chili Prawns. The prawns were amazing - they came with a Fiji apple coleslaw and pomegranate sauce, and the combination was simply heavenly! Entrees: The Lamb Rack came with four beautifully cooked lamb chops, mashed potatoes, spinach, and pomegranate sauce - really delicious. We also tried the Chicken Milano, which was incredible. The combination of artichoke, sun-dried tomato, asparagus, shallots, linguini, basil, garlic, parmesan, parsley, and white wine lemon sauce was perfection on a plate. Desserts: We couldn't resist ordering both the Molten Chocolate Cake with vanilla ice cream and the Warm Bread Pudding with ice cream. Both were fantastic and the perfect end to our meal. The vibe at Baci's is lively and festive - it can get loud, but that just adds to the fun atmosphere.
