And he said that he had allergies so the dog needed to leave the shop. This is not legal. And my dog is hypoallergenic. I would not return. Service was efficient & cordial by single barrista present. Offerings: espressos, pour overs, tea, smoothies, iced drinks, fresh juices, breakfast, empanadas. Sips: Terra pour over (16 oz. 7) black -"Sumatra dark roast, with Chocolate & earth notes" arrived 10 minutes after ordering. -no ice, creamer nor sugar added. Bold at lst sip. Enhanced by lack of fillers. Notes too nuanced to be tasted strongly. Enjoyed drink immensely. -sipped slowly over a few days. No lessening of boldness. Nice pick me up drink. Came back to give it another go since my Mom was visiting! We tried their seasonal Fall flavors. I had the iced banana bread latte with coconut milk and my mom had the sweet potato latte with coconut milk. Both were delicious! Excited to see what they will have for winter (hopefully peppermint- one of my favorites!). Same coffee and some same familiar faces. I checked our their grand opening in the Livery in Danville already was already busy. It opened at 8am and there was a line out the door. It is not as large seating wise as Wc, but they have a few patio tables. Some of the same ambiance with the plants inside but very nice decor. Their tables have Coffee beans inside the actual table. The Burnt Cinnamon Latte and Americano were good. They also had lots of pastries made they made sandwiches snd smoothies. This is the second location where there is plenty of free parking and some outside seating. They have some unique and tasty pour over coffee. I tried one of the dark roasts very good and worth the extra cost. I like independent and unique shops like Tellus highly recommended. read more

Flowing crews a d flowing.brews, each one handmade, even the chaining a box. The espresso.machine sounds are full and nice. We had some breakfast not just pastries here! Ava toast was my fave. Had hot Tea and a Mocha. Nice nice greenery and welcome addition to the needed place of the Livery to walk. Roomier than wc no safe here but much needed for others have come and gone. Danville has some really nice places that I've been visiting lately, and this is one of them. Tellus has a lovely intererior with plants lining the walls. I had a cold brew with some of their burnt cinnamon-honey syrup and a bacon croissant. She bacon crumbled and fell out of the croissant but I was easily able to scoop it off the plate and back onto the pastry. My coffee was so good and the flavor was very fall-forward I've told a few people about this spot as well! read more

First time stepping into Tellus. Apparently they also have a Walnut Creek location that my husband raves about. Decided to drop in and check them out but just a heads up they do NOT take cash. Not sure why but just a heads up for my folks who prefer to pay in cash. The prices were a little high for the sizing but the coffee was pretty good. The empanadas were my favorite though! Really flavorful and that sauce only builds onto the flavor. I dropped them down a stair for pricing and sizing which I felt didn't make a lot of sense but that's just my opinion. read more

So so so good. Great new coffee shop at the livery! I'll come back often! Staff is so nice, kind, considerate and helpful! It was my first time so I had some questions and they were patient and explained different options. I ended up with their burnt honey cinnamon latte and the new waffle latte! Excited to go to a new business in our town, but pretty disappointed. I walked in and there were people standing all around. No clear sign of where to order. I didn't notice any prices until my order was rung up. I ordered an Iced decaf mocha with almond milk (like I normally get at Starbucks) and an Iced burnt honey cinnamon beverage for my friend. I pulled out cash to pay the outlandish $20.50 for 2 drinks and was abruptly told they don't accept cash. What store doesn't accept cash - pretty darned inconvenient. Anyway, onto the quality of our drinks, they were major bitter. Mine didn't taste anything close to a Mocha. My friend said her drink was super bitter as well. Both drinks went right into the trash. I sure hope things improve, because I cannot imagine them being successful if the prices are high and the quality is something to be desired. I know I won't be coming back. read more

I genuinely wanted to have a positive experience at this coffee shop. This was my fourth visit, and I had hoped that, perhaps this time, my order would finally be prepared correctly. I prefer my lattes served hot--truly hot--not lukewarm. Given the premium prices charged, I expect a basic level of quality and consistency. Unfortunately, during my previous three visits, my drinks were all served at a lukewarm temperature, which was already disappointing. Additionally, the service is consistently slow, leaving little to no time to request any corrections. For this visit, I made a very clear request for my latte to be extra, extra hot. Despite this, the drink was once again served lukewarm. At this point, it appears that attention to detail is lacking, or customer preferences are simply not being taken seriously. Absolutely love the Tellus Coffee location in Walnut Creek, was excited to try the downtown Danville location as the area has many other excellent coffee shops. I ordered an extra hot latte and it came back lukewarm. When I approached the barista and ask if he wouldn't mind warming this up a little more he let me know it couldn't be cold, as he "measured the temperature, it was 140 degrees". Upon seeing how argumentative he was becoming, I took my cold coffee and went back to our table. In short, my first time experience here can be summarized by cold coffee, rude, argumentative staff, and an extremely uncomfortable atmosphere. Please do yourself a favor and go to Maison Benoit, Blossom & Root, or even Starbucks over the downtown Danville Tellus Coffee location. read more
