Came for the burritos and was told they no longer offer them. They redirected us to their stall at the Pleasanton Farmer's Market and I ended up trying their ube tres leches cake, which was divine. Very well balanced dessert. My boyfriend also tried some guava cookies, which I did not enjoy at all because they were quite dry and crumbly. The guava filling was also way too thick and eaten at room temperature, is hard and sticky. read more

I love this family-owned bakery! The staff is friendly and the people are always joyful. Cute shop. I usually come for the alfajores but this time I came for the Mariela cake. It looks so decadent! It's mostly dulce de leche but this cake is not too sweet. It's perfect. The cake is very moist too. While I was there, I also picked up a few pasties. Let me tell you! These are not your run of the mill pastries you get at a coffee shop. These pasties are in a whole other level! Chocolate Croissant and Pisrachio Croissant - Flaky on the outside. Moist and delicious in the middle. Spinach and Feta Pastry - Crisp and flaky and the middle is flavorful. Caramel Brownie - very rich. You can to share this with someone else or eat it over a few days. It's amazing! read more

These are the best Alfajore cookies I've ever had!!!! You can taste the rich buttery flavor of the cookie that simply melts in your mouth with every delicious bite. Containing the perfect amount of dulce to balance out the cookie. Not dense at all, been buying these at the farmers market for years. The perfect tea cookie. Their selection is great for celebrations and tea party themed events. The service is always a pleasure friendly and fast to help. Will continue to be a customer for years to come. I'd post a photo but it got eaten right away lol read more

Today I visited Passion Pastry and was warmly welcomed by Parviz! Recently they introduced sandwiches to their menu, I decided to give the prosciutto and mozzarella sandwich a try and wow! The fresh ingredients, especially the mozzarella, really impressed me. Whenever I come here though I always have to pickup some alfajores. Definitely cannot go wrong with those. I recommend coming here! It's a hidden gem. It's a cute cafe, provides a homey feel, has a friendly stuff, and to reiterate definitely get there alfajores! read more

Purchase a box of macaroons at the Livermore Holidays in the Vineyard. They are delicious! The macaroon has a nice shell which had a good almond flavor. The filling was sweet and creamy. I got a taste of their shortbread cookie with dulce de leche filling. It was perfect. The baker's husband manned the booth. He was friendly and reached out to his wife to see if the macaroons had wheat flour. They do not! I would recommend this pastry any time. read more

We were playing at the park across the street and were pleasantly surprised that there was an "open" sign on Black Friday! Come out and get your treats while you're out shopping. Quietly tucked away on the side of a strip mall anchored by a Grocery Outlet supermarket, Passion Pastry is a hidden local gem where we were lured in only by the sighting of a small chalkboard placed at the corner of the intersection leading into the shopping center. Come to find later another customer walked in also commenting that they were unaware of the bakery until they saw the same chalkboard. This bakery is run by a mom and her son. The mom is the talented baker while her well-mannered son greets customers and provides pleasant customer service. We had a chance to converse a bit while waiting for our order of the special Ham and Cheese Croissant to be warmed up. Passion Pastry originally started out as a home kitchen business in Dublin and appearing in local farmers' markets. Apparently they outgrew their home kitchen due to their popularity and found this Pleasanton spot to expand their business. We learned also that their claim to fame at these farmers' markets were home baked cookies that now they display in packed baggies along the side of the shop's wall. In the small shop, there is a small bakery case of their bakery goods and pastries. Check out the photos. We ordered their chocolate croissant as well as their beef empanada. All were delicious, perhaps on the sweeter side. What a great find on an easy Sunday morning! read more

OMG! I was lucky enough to discover Passion Pastry when they have set up their pop-up at Nordstrom in Walnut Creek in the past. I lucked out right before this Thanksgiving when I happened to walk by the 2nd floor escalators and found the display. I loaded up on two large gift boxes (original Alfajores and one mix sampler), a container of the Mexican Wedding cookies, a loaf of banana pecan loaf and the coconut blonde brownie. I took them to Hawaii this past Thanksgiving and presented the gift boxes and Mexican Wedding Cookies to my sister. She is an avid baker and she was thrilled with the treats. (She is recovering from surgery and was staying clear of solid food, but 'Get Well' Mexican Wedding cookies are the exception, right ? ) My favorite is the Alfajores which just literally melt in your mouth. How do you guys make them so buttery??? I kept the loaf and the brownie for myself and froze them since I would be gone for 10 days. I just toasted a couple of slices of the loaf, and despite my freezing of the loaf, they were delicious and moist. Super flavorful, and I am so happy that they kept so well. I didn't get pics of the boxed items, but I did take a couple of pics of the items I kept. My photos do not do these treats justice, but believe me, they are AMAZING. I will be ordering before I head back to Hawaii in a few weeks (it's the only thing my sister wants for Christmas!). It's a family-run business and the mom and her kids help out. This is one of those local small businesses that you need to support! Brava! read more

Neighborhood pastry shop and everything they have is delicious. Croissants are so fresh and good and at a price comparable to Starbucks. The peanut butter bar is insane and the coffee is excellent and reasonably priced. Highly recommend! read more

I came here with a friend and it is such a hidden gem! The service was amazing and the owner is very sweet and you can tell they are really passionate about food. Everything we had was great and they make their own hot sauce which was very nice. The French toast was also nice but I found the raspberry sauce a little too tart for my liking but it was still very good and the berries were very fresh. Definitely check this place out. read more

Excellent hidden gem. Very tasty pastries, croissants and empanadas. Packing could use a bit more finesse.

Best cookies i have ever try , The Alfajores is the best, it melted in my mouth. The shop is tiny and they have two tables for sitting. You can enjoy pastries and coffee in the shop. Nice place, good service, very friendly staff, good food and good location. I enjoyed the alfajores cookies and the pastries.

I came here for the burritos but they don't have them anymore, so i pivoted and ordered some of the pastries. I had a few of the croissants and they were all pretty good. The lady at the counter was nice, but it was on the busier side so it was purely transactional experience but the service was good and it was quick. The place was nicely decorated inside, but like the other reviews it's more of a grab and go place. I bought one pack of the cookies, and as the reviews say.... WOW. I was actually surprised that this was the same owner as the stand at the farmers markets. So now i dont have to wait for a farmers market to get some goodies. I do hope the burritos come back though. read more

Great service and good selection of treats for gifts. Would definitely come back and try their food items!

It's a cafe to satisfy your sweet craving. A small clean store to grab sweets. They are serving coffee and cookies, pastries . I tried their pecan bar and it's really good... the sweetness is just good enough for me. The guy who's there gave us a pastry to try, he said it's their best selling cookie. He's right! The cookie just melt inside your mouth and sweetness is perfect. I'll probably come back to try the rest of the cookies. read more

Also while there I ordered their Passionfruit Mouse and OHH MY GOOOSSH! is all I can say! Hurry up and visit them now! HAHA _____________________________________________________________________________ I went here a few weeks back when they first opened and was NOT disappointed. Their Alfajores were DELISH -- so light and buttery and not too dry and just - YUMM! Hard to describe. They are now located in Pleasanton right in the grocery outlet shopping center and I am all for it. I have plenty of other items to try and I plan to do that sooner than later! I have been coming to this family-owned bakery for a while and it seems like they have a community of regulars, addressing them by their names and having little chats. Whenever I visit, I always have to get their alfajores. Upon my visit today, the worker, Parviz, recommended a new item: Prosciutto and Mozzarella sandwich! The sandwich was ‍ 10/10 would recommend and come again for. read more

Fun, casual, friendly cafe. The food is good and it is a great place for breakfast, lunch or coffee and a sweet. I would highly recommend.

The service is really quick and the chai latte I got was so good! The drinks are easy to customize. I would definitely recommen!

Funny thing about this place, they used to be named Bocado, same as the crepes place smack down in downtown... so I had to ask if they were related but they're not. Looks like they changed the name. Anyway, the only in house made item here are their Mexican cookies and alfajores. Everything else comes from a general delivery from San Francisco, that is disappointing. Their alfajores are okay, you can get better at Whole Foods. The rest of their pastries are good/ok, nothing special. Persian tea is good. Unfortunately, that's all I can say about this place. Can't say I'd make another trip out here again. read more

What a lovely, intimate bakery/cafe! My husband and I just enjoyed another of the freshly prepared sandwiches, made with generous and quality ingredients. Today I had a caprese sandwich on a lightly toasted ciabbata, while my husband had a delicious BLT on toasted wheat. There is an array of coffee and tea drinks too. The freshly baked speciality international-style cookies are a treat! Nibble them with your hot or cold drink in the bakery or outside the shop at one of tables, and take some home to relish. Try the alfajores, the Mexican wedding cookies, or the lemon shortbread cookies topped with a drizzle of lemon frosting and a sprinkling of lemon zest, to name a few of the many choices. Check out this little gem of a place! read more
