Born and raised in Midwest near KCMO, land of abundant top tier burgers and choice meats. Lived in California past 10 years, always craving a proper smashed like we had at Town Topic. Marty's is by far the best burger I've had in Cali. The quality and attention to detail impeccable. The tots, hot dog, chicken tender and pb banana sandwich were also outrageously good. I hope this crew puts a brick and mortar in downtown Liv. My fam will be frequent regulars and I imagine they'd dominate.

Seeing Marty's Joint at Charles R Wineries this past weekend was a very pleasant surprise! The smash burger is what I ordered and I have to say, the buns were so soft it was like biting into a cloud and the burger patties were seasoned to perfection and literally melted in my mouth. The other star if the show, for sure, is the homemade chili that went with the chili dog! You can taste the thought and care and time put into the chili. The food all went very well with the lovely sunny day and enjoying wine tasting in Livermore. These guys are super friendly and are definitely worth a follow on all social media so you know where they'll be next. Thanks again, Karen and Marty for the amazing food and the great service!

Marty's Joint is my favorite food truck in the East Bay. Marty is such a wonderful man with an infectious laugh and a fantastic personality, which is an added bonus because his food is phenomenal. The smash burger is super addictive, and if you see it on the menu, give it a try because it often sells out! Don't Tell Marty!! Best burger truck in Pleasanton/Dublin. Their truck was at a soccer tournament last weekend. The food was so good I wish I had bought an extra one for drive my home to 916. Finally located Marty's joint in their food truck at Wood family Vineyards this weekend. After hearing so much about their smash burgers, my wife and I wanted to give them a try. They did not disappoint.Not only were they very pleasant, They assured me they would stay open until I returned from a previous engagement. We did return and what we were able to enjoy were the best burgers by far we have ever had in the valley. Totally enjoyable, great food, good people, Marty even remembered my name!!! The only downside is that he doesn't have a permanent location I can go to whenever I want. We will be Marty's customers whenever we can find him and for as long as he's in Livermore. Thanks for a great lunch and great service. I Recommend him to everybody who wants the absolute best burger read more

We drove 45 min to try their bbq tots after seeing the menu on Yelp. I was so excited and then found they switched it to chili which I won't eat. I asked if I could substitute the pork belly which they had in two other dishes. I was willing to pay extra but they said no because it was an event in Livermore. They lost our group as customers. My wife and I went to their food trucks and their payment system crashed. I don't know who she was but the lady who was taking money felt bad and asked for $20 to cover what we had ordered. We gave her $40+ dollars cash and got the best food! Thanks guys! We'll definitely be back! read more

Meet the Business Owner: Marty R.

Chef Marty, the heart and soul behind Marty’s Joint Food Truck, was born and raised in Memphis, TN, where his love for comfort food took root. He moved to San Francisco to attend SF State, honing his culinary skills while deepening his knowledge of wine and spirits. With experience across various hospitality roles, Marty earned his WSET 2 certification and worked as both a wine ambassador and in the catering department at a Livermore winery. In 2021 Marty set out to share his passion for “Comfort Food for the Soul” with the Bay Area. Today, Marty’s Joint Food Truck serves up delicious, feel-good eats on weekends around the East Bay and caters corporate events during the week. When he’s not in the kitchen, Marty enjoys great food, wines, gardening, his music library and new adventures with his wife, Megan.

Prior to receiving the food, I received about 3 plates that weren't mine, and the staff didn't seem like they knew who ordered the plates. Looking around, I noticed several of the staff was doing this and delivering food to the wrong tables. I tried a combo plate that had a chicken enchilada and a shredded chicken tamale. The beans and rice felt like the highlight of the plate. The enchilada was decent, but the tamale tasted way too dry. I don't think I'll come back unless I am in the area to watch a movie, but even then, I might be better off having food in the theater.

I've gotten takeout once and dined in once, the most recently dine in I ordered the Hanoi Trio Pork which has pork and fish cakes cooked in a fish sauce based sauce with a carrot and green papaya salad. Also comes with vermicelli, lettuce and herbs so you can eat them as wraps. I've had this dish at other Ao Sen's and this was presented very well and tasted good. My wife had a #1 beef pho which seemed pretty good, the beef products were fresh. The staff turned around our order in a timely manner on a Sunday afternoon and there place wasn't completely full but there were other parties seated. It was a good experience. I'm usually only in that area when I hit the outlets so maybe I'll try them again the next time I hit the outlets.
