Had a really great experience at BJ's tonight, specifically because of Bobby at takeout. We came in pretty late, around 11 PM, and I still needed to place an order while several online pickup orders were coming in at the same time. Bobby came out, greeted everyone kindly, and when I told him I still needed to order, he politely let me know he was going to quickly help the pickup customers first and then come right back to take care of me. He handled everything smoothly and was genuinely friendly the entire time. Our food ended up taking about 35 minutes, but Bobby's customer service made the wait a great experience. Toward the end, he offered us complimentary fountain drinks for the wait, which he absolutely didn't have to do. Since they were getting ready to close, he even threw in some extra sweet potato fries with my order. It's the little things like that that really stand out. Bobby was kind, attentive, professional, and made us feel taken care of even during a busy late-night rush. Great customer service can completely change an experience, and he definitely did that for us. Bobby deserves the recognition. 5-star service! read more

Worst restaurant I've been to in a LONG time . The waiter was TERRIBLE. I commented about the bathrooms being terrible and he said okay what do you want to drink in a very sassy manner. My drink came back flat and I requested a new one . He said there's nothing he could do about it because it was all from the same machine . Well that's crazy that it suddenly is my problem that I want a soda . His attitude the entire time pissed everyone off at the table . He didn't refill our sodas or waters . He didn't pick up a single finished plate off our table. He said he was going to take them but never did . One lady was super nice Mary was her name . Bless her heart , her energy was wonderful! Yep, 2.5 star sounds about right. I ordered a lunch special spaghetti chicken Parmesan and strawberry Pizookie. I was hungry too. First bite into the spaghetti and it was starchy. Forgot the vinegar bath? IDK. Chicken Parmesan was ok. It was crispy but on the salty side. The Pizookie was what I was looking forward to. There were a couple pieces of fresh strawberries in addition to the strawberry purée. That was good! But the cookie itself was so soggy in the middle that it think it may not be fully cooked. Came in twice and sat at the bar watched the World Cups game. Both time the bartender was gave excellent service. We ordered the same items both times. Bone-In Lemon Pepper Wings were very good, nice and crunchy on the skin and moist inside, perfect lemon pepper flavored. Wagyu Burger tasted good and cooked perfectly. Probably one of the worst restaurant experiences I've had in a long time. We waited far too long just to be greeted and have our order taken. Our waitress was actually friendly once she came over, so this review is not really about her. The bigger issue was the overall condition of the restaurant. There were piles of dirty dishes sitting in multiple areas near the bar. The women's restroom was absolutely disgusting. Not one stall was clean. There was urine and feces on the toilet seats, used toilet paper all over the floor, and only one stall had toilet paper. It was so unsanitary that it made me question the cleanliness of the entire restaurant. Then our chicken came out raw and had to be sent back. My gluten free pizza was mediocre at best. We only came here because it was late and close to our house, but we will absolutely not be returning. Next time I would rather go through a drive thru than sit down and eat here again. I want to go 3.5, but as usual Yelp doesn't allow half stars (which is beyond dumb). I frankly do not understand the low ranking for this BJ's. Their food is consistently solid and vastly superior to the Applebee's, Chilis and Buffalo Wild Wings type of "food." Great happy hour (M-F 3-7pm), even late night Sunday-Thursday, 9pm to close. Fantastic all day specials M-F, like what else are you expecting? Plenty of large TV's (especially in the bar area) always tuned into sports. Paired with their totally free and surprisingly quick Wifi and you've got a great mix for a place to work, watch, eat and drink. Staff is constantly roaming around making sure plates are clear, drinks refilled etc. Skip the other places I listed above and bring your business here. I saw an ad on TV for the $13 pizookie deal during lunch, I think it's weekday only deal but not entirely sure. So I came here for a weekday lunch, it wasn't very crowded. We didn't have a wait and was seated immediately, plenty of booth seating. This is located in the shopping complex with the Target and Dicks, near the SF Livermore Outlets. Parking is pretty easy and straightforward. I ordered the $13 pizookie deal with the chicken parmesan pasta. The chicken parmesan was a good portion for lunch, I enjoyed it. Before we finished our lunch, the server was good and asked for the order for my cookie. I decided on the caramel pizookie, this isn't the normal size one. It is the smaller one but perfect for lunch. It was delicious. If I am ever craving a pizookie with a decent lunch special, I definitely would recommend this place if they still have the deal going on. If you ever been to BJs before, the lighting isn't overly bright like other restaurants. I feel like it's on the darker side but still fine. read more

When we arrived, we were seated fairly quickly; however, we weren't informed beforehand that the fryers were not working. Because of this, many of the items we initially wanted to order were unavailable. So I placed my order for a medium rare slice with a baked potato (with sour cream, chives and butter); and a side of roasted asparagus. What was delivered was Caesar salad, a medium rare slice of prime rib with enormous amount of fat. The meat was definitely seasoned well as it each bite tasted peppers and herbs. No horse radish and au jus were included. It was delivered warm. The baked potato was practically bigger than the supposedly 15 ounce slice of prime rib. The roasted asparagus was not included in the delivered food. A Caesar salad was in the package. The croutons were soggy, definitely not crunchy. We were seated right away however, our waiter took quite some time as she was dealing with a previous table that had to split their bill a bunch of ways, which is totally understandable It's been a while since I've been to this restaurant. The menu has changed a little bit but still offers extensive menu options. Can't go wrong with the pizzas here they are known for their Pazooki's, which is a dessert with a baked cookie and ice cream . Cookies and cream is our favorite. After we got our food (about 30 minutes later) and ate it, the server came by and made a tasteless joke about how much food I personally ate, implying that because of my appearance I probably ate the whole thing. Our visit started with a long wait. We arrived around 10PM with a group of seven after a long day and waited patiently for our table. Once seated, we were told our server would be with us shortly, but an entire hour passed before they finally took our orders. Being tucked away in the corner didn't help, and by then, many of us were exhausted and hungry, close to leaving to find food elsewhere. The service continued to drag on once we placed our orders. Our drinks took a while to arrive, and by this point, we had less than an hour until closing. When our food finally arrived, we realized the kitchen seemed rushed. My partner's ribeye, ordered medium rare, was served well done, and his two choice of sides were also burnt. To make matters worse, there were no utensils on the table, so we had to flag our server down yet again. It felt like the staff was stretched thin, especially with three other tables still waiting for their meals despite multiple servers being available. Overall, the restaurant itself was clean, but the rushed vibe made it feel less of a dining experience. While the food itself was decent, the overall experience left much to be desired. For the price we paid, the delays we experienced throughout the night overshadowed the entire meal. I hope the restaurant addresses these issues to ensure smoother service for future guests. read more

I want to first state I think it's important to give the owner or Manager of any business the opportunity to address concerns first. So I'm that spirit we called and spoke with the manager, we were told that they were going to get back to us. They never followed up. From the beginning to end the service was flawed. From getting the kids drinks wrong to the food. I spent more time going to the bar asking her to fix the issues with the order then talking to the waitress who was scarcely there. Even the payment method wasn't working. I've never experienced such a low level of service. The food was terrible. Dry, like it had been sitting for some time. We checked in for my birthday dinner. It was late, but the service was still great. I ordered the seared Aji tuna salad. My son ordered the Wagyu beef burger, and his girlfriend ordered the tri-tip dinner. I love BJ's Pizookie when it is prepared correctly. My favorite is the Strawberry Shortcake Pizookie. On Thursday and most of the times I get this Pizookie, the strawberry puree is not the correct consistency and it's more like strawberry water. I showed the watery puree to the black female manager, but instead of having someone at the bar make it correctly, she said that's what they had. Since I've had this conversation several times when I get the Pizookie at this location, I decided to post my comments on Yelp with a photo. Went to BJs last night to get a few drinks and watch the game. The bar was pretty open, but the person behind the bar - Patrick D - absolutely horrific. Completely ignored us from the minute we sat down at the bar, but continued to pay attention to and serve the Caucasian customers. We kept trying to flag him down to order drinks, and he kept ignoring us. Management 100% needs to address this - awful customer service. Normally I am very happy with the service but on this night not so much. My friend and I decided to make a late dinner night around 8 pm. First off. Took way too long to place an order. She was probably given too many tables in her station and could not keep up. My friend ordered a salad and an appetizer and I ordered a meal. First her salad comes out. No appetizer!! No silverware!! Refills on SODA's took way too long. She would not make eye contact so no ability to get her attention. For ordering we had to flag another server and ask to get our's who we had not seen for 15 min. The nice young lady offered to take our meal order but was holding a drink for a different customer. At our request we asked her to deliver that first we did not want them to wait. (1 star for hosts) I went during happy hour so it wasn't busy at all however the 2 host up front were chatting away without acknowledging my presence. 1 guy had his back turned towards me the whole time talking to the women behind the stand. The women clearly saw me coming in and did not bother to say hi and/or ask how many seats. I asked her if there were seats available and was abruptly told to wait while she and the guy continued to chitchat. There was a guy behind them on a kiosk that was able to help me get a seat. I later found out that he mainly busses tables. (4 stars food) I got the pazookie deal that let me choose from a selection of half sized entrees plus a pazookie of choice. I got the Mediterranean chicken and strawberry pazookie. The Mediterranean chicken was surprisingly pretty good, well seasoned chicken and super light on the dinner palette. The strawberry pazookie is always a hit for me as it's probably the main reason why I go to BJs (5 stars for waiter/server) Unlike the horrible service from the hosts, the waiters and servers were attentive and friendly. We had two different waiters as one had to go on lunch break however they were super friendly in letting us know that someone else will be our new point of contact. read more

I've always gone to BJs for the somewhat average food, excellent appetizers and cold beers. Their nachos were bomb, they used to serve them on a large pizza pan...Lately something has changed. The nachos are much smaller and the ingredients are less or missing altogether. The last visit for Father's Day will be my last. They lost their way, overpriced low quality and small servings.
