Got the chilaquiles with sunny side eggs on top, paige's french toast, and the leige waffle! The chilaquiles was amazing! It was a huge portion, full of flavor, and the chips that werent drenched in the sauce were still crunchy when it came out! I enjoyed this dish! My bf got the french toast and waffles, both were also amazing. He really liked the waffle. It was fluffy and bready and had a sugary crunch to it. Paige's french toast was delicious with nutella and banana filling in it. The food came it within 10 minutes, which wasn't too bad! The server was very friendly! A very nice addition to the downtown breakfast scene, especially since the Brick is going away . We came in the back from the new garage, and went out front to meet the hostess. Gorgeous morning, but there want anything available on the front porch, so we went to the back again. That was a mistake, if you have issues with noise. The metal chair scraping on the concrete floor and the plates being dumped into the plastic bins all echoed, and we had to ask our server about finding us another place to sit. This stuff doesn't bother everyone, like the table next to us, but we found it intolerable. Everything from there went smoothly. We got a freshly vacated table on the front porch, with lots of beautiful dogs and their humans. The Wife ordered a sunrise sandwich, with no sausage, but added avocado. She was quite pleased. I got a veggie scramble with white toast, and was also very happy. We both got potatoes on the side, and those portions were enormous. We were seated outside in their front patio, overall space is pretty big as I noticed later on that they even have seating in the back and inside too. Tall cup but I felt like there was very little inside. Overall taste was nothing out of this world, very bland as was the garnish. For food I ordered the Philly Omlette - 2/5. The staff here is incredible !!!! working like a well-oiled machine all day long. I've seen assembly lines with less efficient processes than this crew. There was never a moment of huddling or bustling around confused; they turned over so many dishes and tables while I was there, and still had time to check in on you with a genuine smile. My only issue was with the female owner. When she stepped in, she seemed to throw off the rhythm the staff had going. During my meal at the counter, I watched her talk down to and directly order around three employees right in front of customers. A little "please," or pulling someone aside privately, would go a long way for both employee morale and the customer experience. Now for the food: it was great, if a little light on salt (though that might just be my own preference). The tacos had good flavor and just the right amount of sauce. Service was swift and friendly from beginning to end. The menu was not overly large, but you are bound to find a couple of items that intrigue you. My friend and I decided to share as we normally do two dishes - the Mushroom Market toast and the Dad's French toast. Prices are average for the area, but definitely breakfast prices are climbing anywhere you go in the Tri-Valley. Our food came out not long after we placed our order. This was my second time here, and I don't think I'll be returning. I only came back because a friend wanted to try it out. The restaurant wasn't busy, but it took a long time just to get water. I noticed several staff chatting and standing around behind the bar, yet no one brought cups until I eventually had to ask. Not a great impression. We were a group of 4. When our food finally came, my friend's order was wrong. The runner went to get our server, and when my friend explained the mistake, the server got defensive and insisted, "No, I even confirmed it with you." That wasn't true. She had confirmed the orders of the other 2 in our group, but not my friend's. I spoke up to back my friend since I clearly heard her order and told the server I heard what my friend said and she didn't order that dish she got. More than anything, it was the server's tone that surprised me instead of just correcting the mistake. Since the food had already taken so long, my friend considered just accepting the wrong dish. But the server said she'd have it remade, which only made my friend uneasy. She worried about how the replacement would be handled. When the new plate came out, she even smelled the new plate before eating, which says a lot about the trust that was lost, and it was also the server's attitude that didn't help. To make things worse, when the bill came, we were still charged for the wrong dish. Thankfully, I caught it before paying. Another friend at the table who ordered the omelet said it wasn't good and described it as tasting like a "wet rag." Overall, between the inattentive staff, defensive service, order mistakes, and disappointing food, I wouldn't come back. read more

The Mrs. ordered hot chocolate and I orange juice and coffee. The orange juice was disappointing as I expected freshly squeezed but clearly it was not. The hot chocolate and coffee serving was large and hot. My wife ordered an avocado toast and scrambled egg. To her surprise it also came with a side salad with fresh strawberries and vinegar dressing. She really enjoyed everything. I ordered Joes Scramble with country potatoes. Ordered breakfast tacos, 2 pancakes, coffee, and water. I had to go to the bar to flag someone down for waters that never arrived. We waited one hour to be served. The waitress was not very attentive and was annoying. She asked how we liked the food (just ok) so when I said, "Just ok"and she replied "That's great!". Wait, what's "great"? Huh? She apparently wasn't listening. Awkward and annoying. I love pancakes and always try the pancakes everywhere I go. Today, I ordered the blueberry. Just ok- nothing special. My friend's breakfast tacos were just ok. Not memorable in any way. The potatoes were good, however. I won't be back. Lots of places to get breakfast in Livermore and Pleasanton. Maybe they were short on help? There seemed to be lots of people working- the service was inexcusably slow and unorganized. I hope they work on customer service. The coffee flight is kind of a disappointment, better to just order a regular coffee. The Cookies and Cream Cold Brew is the only one worth getting, the other two weren't so great. It was well after 12:00 noon when we stopped by on our way back to Sacramento and the menu choices were perfect since I wanted lunch and the hubby wanted breakfast. I ordered the BLTA half sandwich with a salad and side of French fries and the hubby ordered their Leige waffle. The BLTA was hella messy but oh so good! I love BLTs but the perfectly ripe avocado made it epic. The sourdough bread was toasted and buttery perfect. My salad was very fresh and much easier to eat when I dumped it onto my plate from the little bowl. Oh and the French fries were so good! As a French fry connoisseur , I give them a solid 9 with what tasted like a light batter and crisped and seasoned perfectly. Enjoyed all of it thoroughly! My husband's waffle was probably the best waffle I've tasted in a long time. The flavor of the dough was uniquely delicious as was the little bits of sugar cane crystals embedded in the waffle. Wait staff was pleasant and the food was visually appealing, but the chefs definitely don't know how to use seasoning or cook to temperature. The scrambled eggs were completely unseasoned and still raw on the bottom (brought to the table cold), the chicken fried was unseasoned before battering and the gravy was gray, not white or even brown. The potatoes had flavor from the peppers and onions, but again no seasoning. Finally the blueberry pancakes....the pancakes were good, but the blueberry compote was just blueberries warmed in lemon juice and sugar. No blueberry flavor at all and the fruit was still whole. I came here on a weekday during lunch with my toddler since we were downtown anyway running errands. I had heard good things so I was excited to check it out when it wasn't too busy. Four other groups had children with them as well. I was pleasantly surprised when the server gifted my toddler a new Hot Wheels car still in the packaging. What a great idea to keep curious little ones occupied when they're dining out. I ordered a milk and the Grand Prix from the kids menu and was shocked by how much food there was. It could easily feed my toddler for 2-3 meals. I got the London Fog and Hot Honey Chicken for myself. I asked how spicy it would be and the server said she could put it on the side. There is some indoor seating and twice as much outdoor space. The back patio has permanent heaters which keep you toasty warm during colder weather. The service was speedy and attentive. While we didn't have children in our group, an adjacent table did. I noticed and appreciated how the kids food was brought out quickly. The adults waited but they can handle the wait! They lost my reservation that I had made online for a larger party. Luckily the gentleman working was wonderful and able to pivot by accommodating the large group with multiple children. They took care of us and understood the toddlers get their food before the adults (parents know what I mean) Everything was delicious from eggs, pancakes, eggs Benedict, and peppermint mocha. Only would change the potatoes by asking for them crispier because they were soft. The ambiance was still nice on the back patio as it is covered and has heated lamps, none of our party was cold. read more
