Cute outdoor patio dining.
Candice F.

I came here to Mornings on First on a Friday morning and we opted for outdoor seating since we brought our dogs. Such a cute and comfortable dining space on a beautiful February morning. Service was swift and friendly from beginning to end. The menu was not overly large, but you are bound to find a couple of items that intrigue you. My friend and I decided to share as we normally do two dishes - the Mushroom Market toast and the Dad's French toast. Prices are average for the area, but definitely breakfast prices are climbing anywhere you go in the Tri-Valley. Our food came out not long after we placed our order. Our server continued to be very helpful with all of our requests including getting side dishes and additional condiments. Flavors were good, however, the bread for the mushroom toast seemed a bit stale. Other than that, the ambiance truly won me over. This is definitely worth a try!

Stew's special

Mornings on First wouldn't be my first brunch spot in Downtown Livermore, but they ended up having no wait on a Sunday mid morning so we decided to try it! We ordered the Stew's Special (French toast, 2 eggs, and choice of meat) along with biscuits and gravy. The order took longer than expected to come out. Our favorite part of the order was the pork sausages, but I wouldn't come for the French toast as there are other spots nearby that do it better. Overall the service and experience were good but I still stand by my statement that this wouldn't be my first choice for brunch in the area. Their outdoor seating out front looked cute though if you are looking for a patio brunch experience!

My sister and I have shared their Ohana Pancakes a few times now, and we still salivate when we talk or text about them. Pineapple, coconut, and macadamia cream sauce over perfectly cooked pancakes makes this a 11/10. Definitely our favorite and what brings us back. We've also tried their Breakfast Tacos (8.5/10) country fried steak breakfast (10/10) and club sandwich (10/10). It looks small when you first walk in, but there's plenty of seating in their back patio. Service is always friendly and their coffee is great too.

Kudos to my ex-wife for recommending this establishment. We spent the morning at the Apple Store upgrading our phones and were starving for some breakfast after two plus hours at Apple Store. Shout out to Pepe for his great customer service too. We were seated immediately which was great for a busy weekend. There is plenty of seating both inside and outside patio area. My ex and I had chicken and waffles and my daughter and her boyfriend had the hot honey chicken sandwich and sunrise sandwich. Everyone was pretty happy with their meals. Great atmosphere for any occasion.

Came on a Saturday brunch time. Very busy but was able to get a table outdoors in front. I did get a look inside after I ordered to use the bathroom and saw a back door that had more outdoor seating. Inside seemed compact while the outdoor seating was more airy on a sunny day. Food was good but I very much enjoyed the coffee flight. My wait wasn't long. I ate half and took the rest home. I finished the coffee flight though. The server was ok. I didn't like that the payment was given the choice of 18, 20, 25% it just makes me feel like I'm forced to choose a high % when the service didn't feel like that was the % they deserved. It's not like the old dine in experience where they leave the receipt for signature and the tip amount and I could have chilled for awhile but since I already paid it's almost like I felt rushed out. Would like to return again with a guest and get the coffee flight again or try other drinks Parking was hard to find but I was lucky to find a disabled parking spot a walking distance away.

This was my second time here, and I don't think I'll be returning. I only came back because a friend wanted to try it out. The restaurant wasn't busy, but it took a long time just to get water. I noticed several staff chatting and standing around behind the bar, yet no one brought cups until I eventually had to ask. Not a great impression. We were a group of 4. When our food finally came, my friend's order was wrong. The runner went to get our server, and when my friend explained the mistake, the server got defensive and insisted, "No, I even confirmed it with you." That wasn't true. She had confirmed the orders of the other 2 in our group, but not my friend's. I spoke up to back my friend since I clearly heard her order and told the server I heard what my friend said and she didn't order that dish she got. More than anything, it was the server's tone that surprised me instead of just correcting the mistake. Since the food had already taken so long, my friend considered just accepting the wrong dish. But the server said she'd have it remade, which only made my friend uneasy. She worried about how the replacement would be handled. When the new plate came out, she even smelled the new plate before eating, which says a lot about the trust that was lost, and it was also the server's attitude that didn't help. To make things worse, when the bill came, we were still charged for the wrong dish. Thankfully, I caught it before paying. Another friend at the table who ordered the omelet said it wasn't good and described it as tasting like a "wet rag." Overall, between the inattentive staff, defensive service, order mistakes, and disappointing food, I wouldn't come back.

This places is great, and theres quite a few good breakfast spots around downtown Livermore as it is. It's always hard to choose when i take my wife and son for a morning walk. But we usually end up here because my son always gets a hot wheel, and my wife loves the coffee specialty drinks here. I've came at least 6 times to this location and the service is always good, as well as the food. We have always gone during weekday mornings so the place is always peaceful, not loud or anything like that. Which i prefer. Finally as far as portion to price ratio, i think it's fair. Portions tend to be on the bigger side.

Mornings on First had disappointing vegetarian food options that took 45 minutes to arrive and felt overpriced for what I ordered. However, staff were very attentive and caring, the ambience was wonderful and friendly, and the selection of iced coffees was delicious. I would have been happier just coming here with a group of friends to chat over drinks instead of coming here for an expensive, mediocre brunch. I ordered the Iced Coffee Flight, Veggie Scramble, and Breakfast Tacos with soyrizo substitute (not pictured in this review). Iced Coffee Flight was very fun. You have an interesting selection of different flavors, and while I did have a favorite, all three drinks were great. * S'mores Latte - strong, dark chocolate-y * Cookies & Cream Cold Brew - fruity, lighter * Iced Tiramisu Latte - tasted the most like coffee, topped with bits of chocolate shavings Food took around 45 minutes to arrive. Soy chorizo and vegan egg substitute for the breakfast tacos ordered didn't taste very present for the extra $4 I paid for it. I feel that you are better off just asking for no chorizo instead if you are vegetarian and not vegan. Veggie Scramble was fine and otherwise unremarkable, though you could always pay extra cash to add cheese, soyrizo, or use plant based eggs. The side options for toast and fruit or country potatoes are unremarkable as well. Overall, great drinks, ambience, and service. But for breakfast/brunch foods, did not feel worth the time and money spent.

I enjoyed my experience here. Came with a friend to have brunch midweek. No wait, which I love! Server was friendly and checked in on us often. Now for the food: Chilaquiles: I really enjoyed these. The chips stayed crispy most of my meal which I always appreciate. Who likes soggy chips ever?? Belgian Style Waffle: Would I get this again? Probably not. It tasted great, but I probably should have gone for one of the most colorful style waffles they have. Western Omelette: added the avocado , yes even at that price, and was tasty. All in all, I would consider going back if I was in the area :)

Breakfast burrito, salsa on the side

Service was great here, plenty of seating and street parking. Nothing particularly special about the food. We ordered the breakfast burrito, Chilaquiles and ice coffee flight. Food portions here are large, was expecting larger coffee for the price point.

Good and fast service. We were seated quick only waited about 10 min on a Sunday which was nice. It wasn't too loud we sat inside and were able to order right away. The food was ok I do like seasoned fries and felt like the food could use a bit more flavor. Potatoes were crispy and hot. Breakfast chorizo tacos were good and big portion. I thought the drinks were very tasty! I loved the breakfast at Tiffanie's it came in a cute box but also tastes very refreshing. Overall the food was good but def a place to get tasty drinks and good service.

Veggie scramble

My friends and I had brunch here a week ago and had such a great experience! The drinks, food and service were on point. Shout out to the veggie scramble!

Tried a few things here, coffee flight, farmhouse omelette, breakfast burrito, and the ohana pancakes. The clear winner was the ohana pancakes, big fluffy pancakes with macadamia and pineapple. The breakfast burrito was really big, a lot for one person. The omelette was standard, nothing new and no complaints. The coffee flight is kind of a disappointment, better to just order a regular coffee. The Cookies and Cream Cold Brew is the only one worth getting, the other two weren't so great. It's a nice place with indoor seating and a front and back patio seating. The service was okay, a little haphazard and two servers didn't communicate with each other. But food and everything came on time with no complaints. The inside has a Breakfast at Tiffany's decoration, with a portrait of Audrey Hepburn and also a signature drink that comes in a Tiffany's box. Overall a good experience and definitely will be back!

For dinner, I ordered the smash burger, though it wasn't really a traditional smash burger and felt more like a regular burger with two very thick patties. That said, it was still good. The fries were hot and fresh, and our server was very kind. My husband enjoyed his fish tacos. They needed some salsa on the side though, which we asked about but it wasn't spicy. We also noticed they were promoting their upcoming Easter brunch at the time and we were looking for a spot for Easter too. Making an Easter brunch reservation was easy and smooth. The staff member on the phone was helpful and accommodating when we needed to adjust our headcount. We arrived 30 min before our reservation but they were able to seat us which we appreciated. The brunch itself was decent, but I'm not sure I would return for the value. It was a buffet-style brunch that included coffee, tea, and sodas. The prime rib needed a bit more flavor, we didn't see any au jus which would've helped, although it was nice to have a carving station and a made-to-order omelette bar. Some of the hot items were kept in warming trays but were more lukewarm than hot. They advertised waffles, but I didn't initially see any on the buffet, so we asked. A staff member mentioned they had batter available and kindly made fresh waffles for us in the kitchen. They were brought out beautifully topped with strawberries, cinnamon, and whipped cream. When we requested another order, we asked a different server for the same preparation, but the staff member who originally made them was back at his station, so we received a plain waffle instead. When we asked another server for strawberries, he somewhat abruptly and rudely pointed us to the buffet and said there was fruit available over there outside. We checked, but there were no strawberries at that time, so we didn't pursue it further. Later, when we ordered waffles again, there were still none on the buffet. I happened to speak with the same server again (that pointed to the fruit earlier), and he rudely said there were waffles out and we could get them ourselves, but then I told him that there weren't any as I had just come from there, and he acknowledged the issue. It seemed that items were not being consistently monitored or restocked. Unfortunately, the second round of waffles did not come out the same as the first and were missing the strawberries and whipped cream. However, the omelette station cook noticed and kindly brought us whipped cream when he passed by, which we appreciated. Overall, the ham was quite good. The salad selection felt a bit weak and looked wilted, and the dessert area was sparse with items not consistently refilled. The salmon was also slightly dry and could have benefited from more of the cream sauce. Positives: good dinner burger/fries, kind server, easy reservation process for Easter brunch, omelette station cook was very kind, some standout items (first waffles, ham) Negatives: inconsistent service, lukewarm buffet items, missing restocks, dry salmon, weak salad/dessert spread, and uneven guest handling (waffle/fruit issue + staff confusion)

Smaller restaurant with Asian decor. For the food we got the chicken omurice and pad kee mao with chicken. All very good! Chicken omurice: definitely the highlight and seems like one of their more popular dishes. The chicken was flavorful, hot, and has a nice crispy light batter. So good! The rice with egg really complimented the chicken as well. Good flavors and not overwhelming. Highly recommend Pad kee mao: good traditional flavors. It comes mild, so didn't have much of a kick. I don't eat too spicy so that was fine for me. If you prefer more spicy I recommend asking to increase the spicy level. Not the best I've had, but overall good I would definitely come back to try more dishes. Just the chicken omurice alone is enough to bring me back!

We started strong with the truffle tots: crispy, well-seasoned, and topped with Parmesan. The sauce? Genuinely great. No notes there. The chicken omurice was also a win! flavorful, comforting, and exactly what you'd hope for. My daughter's "bear in a blanket" dish was almost too cute to eat, and our server kindly offered complimentary mini pancakes for my toddler (which we didn't even know was a thing). They were adorable and surprisingly good, even without syrup. I also ordered the cloud matcha, which was delicious. Now... the duck Benedict. I'm saving it for last for a reason and not a good one. It was, unfortunately, a complete miss. It lacked flavor in a way that was almost impressive. Like... aggressively bland. The spinach and tomato completely overpowered the duck, and even tasting the duck on its own didn't help. It was giving absolutely nothing. Nothing. I'd honestly suggest pulling it from the menu until improvements can be made. Overall, I'd return for everything except the duck Benedict. Hard pass on that one.

It consisted of sourdough fried with chorizo, tater tots, pickled jalepenos, American and pepper jack cheese with a choice of side. The side I got was onion rings. The pickled jalepenos offer a slight but very manageable spiciness. Onion rings were slightly bland and slightly soggy but did contain plenty of real onion on the inside.
